Clean place with great service. Andre really stepped up when I had a promo on the app that was a more complicated one. He was very knowledgeable about how to ring it up and did so quickly. The food was good as usual and the other staff members were also friendly.
Miriam always greets my family and makes us feel right at home. She is so kind and friendly. We come to this location just to see her!
Abraham and Andre are so personable and helpful! Love everyone on this store! We live closer to American fork and have tried that many times but the customer service is not quite the same. Here they’re super friendly fast and the food is always incredible! American fork often is missing steak after 6pm Friday-Saturday. Never had an issue here !
Came here with my 3 young sons for father/son night. Food and service were great. Andre an employee went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of and happy. Great evening excellent food!
My wife and I had a great time at this Lehi location next to the outlets. We were treated so good and as a queer couple that’s hard to experience. The staff member Andre was very kind and checked on us if we needed anything. We will definitely be coming back here again.
I read a few negative reviews about the service here and I think management must have read them and taken them to heart because we had a great experience. Our food was prepared quickly and was great. When people stood up from their table to leave, I saw workers immediately go and wipe the tables down and prepare it for someone else. We had a worker stop by and make sure everything was good and that we didn’t need anything else. We even got a free sample of some key lime pie! Great Cafe Rio experience
We stopped in for a quick bite. Orders are via kiosk. We ordered tacos (bar b que pork & shredded chicken), Salad with shredded chicken & guacamole. Also got an oder of salsa n chips; Food was fantastic! Service was very good also. We would love to stop again. Great place to stop if you don't have a lot of time to spare but want good food.
The service was great! And I really liked how kind everyone was. One thing though was the serving sizes seemed quite small. I usually go to the cafe rio in Orem so maybe it’s just the location, or how they train. but I was disappointed with the size of my burrito and my also my husband’s salad.
I went to Cafe Rio for a family dinner, and the experience was fantastic. 🌮 I ordered the two enchiladas with sweet pork, and they were absolutely delicious—flavorful, tender, and packed with just the right amount of seasoning. The rice on the side had a bold taste that stood out—maybe a little strong for some, but I thought it added to the overall flavor in a good way. 🍚 The service was impressively fast and efficient. ⚡ Even though it wasn’t too busy when we went, the line moved quickly and the staff kept things running smoothly. They made the whole ordering process super easy and stress-free. The atmosphere was inviting and full of character. 🎨 There were plenty of vibrant pictures on the walls, thoughtful design details, and a few TVs that gave the space a casual, laid-back energy. The music was pretty loud 🎶—I had to raise my voice a bit to keep conversations going. Still, it added to the fun, upbeat vibe and didn’t take away from the overall experience. Portions were generous—I didn’t leave hungry! 💯 The pricing felt fair; not super cheap, but definitely worth it for the quality and portion sizes. 💸 All in all, a great spot for a chill family meal with good food, quick service, and a lively environment. 👍
The staff was a little indifferent to me stating that I had not been there, not a super big deal. Not super helpful. The cilantro was still on the stems! The burrito had a hole in it. If it is company policy to leave cilantro on the stems, you're doing it wrong. If it is laziness of the staff, fire them. Other than that, it tasted fine, but cilantro is consumed as a leaf, not a plant. C'mon man!
Usually a good location but I'm now on 2 different poor service experiences so I'll finally say something. This most recent wrongly made order pertains to a burrito that upon checking the bag, had no lettuce or Pico when it normally should. I asked for it to be added into the bowl, yet they decided to add lettuce and PINTO beans into the bowl instead. Why anyone would think they'd want extra Pinto beans in a burrito made with BLACK beans is beyond me. Thankfully my partner is moving out of the area soon so we can just deal with the more consistent Layton location.
I was so incredibly disappointed in Cafe Rio’s service. I ordered online and went to the counter to pick up my food. I told the worker my name and she came up another 2 times to ask what my name was again to verify for the next few minutes. I was then given an order that wasn’t mine. She gave it to me and asked yet again what my order name was and I told her. It wasn’t my order so she took it back and I proceeded to wait for another 5 or so minutes and she asked me another 2 times what my order name was. Another woman came for her order and there was even more confusion. I was handed what was supposedly my real order, but then she asked the other woman if she had the same name as me, as she gave me the order and almost took it back again, she says how our orders are the “exact same” (they weren’t). As I fill up my drink she checks the receipt one final time. I figured I was good to go and I was tired and wanted to leave. After several checks and going back and forth I figured there was no way this order would be someone’s other than mine, but I was very wrong. It wasn’t on me for not checking, but I didn’t think it could seriously be wrong after all of that. I still ate the food, it wasn’t that much different but I was just disappointed that it was still wrong. I normally wouldn’t write a review like this or even be upset, but it was just the fact that the order still wasn’t mine after 20 minutes of back and forth. Working in customer service is hard, so I usually understand, I was just a little annoyed and wanted to write this review. I just hope the other woman was able to get a new meal of what she actually ordered. Food was still good though. I am enjoying the 20 dollar deal. 🙂
Don’t order online at this location. You’ll be waiting long past your pick up time, along with many others waiting. Meanwhile, the in-person ordering line will be practically empty. At least this was my experience. When orders were ready, they also didn’t call out the names every time so I had to go up and ask several times if the order was mine or not. I would have saved 40 minutes if I had just ordered in-person.
We had a glitch with the app so the order had to be resubmitted after we arrived at the restaurant. Even though there was no one in line, we waited for over 30 min to get three meals. The burrito was ordered without rice and arrived with double rice. It also did not have any enchilada sauce despite ordering the red. The tortilla in the salad was raw and the fajita veg tasted weird while the lettuce was hardly bite-sized. We were also disappointed that the jalapeños are no longer fresh and seemed to be pickled. Very disappointing experience.
The 2 stars weren’t given because of the food- the food is great.. the reason for the low rating was because of a rude employee who served me my food. She was younger, has a bad attitude and at one point rolled her eyes at me because she misunderstood me and had to start the order over. She gave no apologies, just kept on with the attitude.. needless to say if I ever want Cafe Rio again I’ll just go to a different location because the experience was uncomfortable. No need to be treated with disrespect if employees can’t communicate properly and ask follow up questions.
This is the second time I have been to Cafe Rio and bit into something i shouldn't have. The first time was glass. This time, it's a chicken bone! The guy making the meals was extremely skimpy on ingredients. It's interesting how downhill this restaurant chain has come. The last time i bit into glass and chipped a tooth, they offered me a free meal. Wow!!!
Found a dead fly in my food :( luckily I found it before starting to eat but it makes me question the cleanliness of this restaurant.
The staff was not ready to go when we arrived. The service was poor, and several items: queso, ice tea, rice, and steak could not be served immediately. The staff was not apologetic or helpful. We still ordered the queso and waited 20 minutes for it to arrive. We weee still charged the full price, and it was runny. Unfortunately this was our first experience at this establishment.
Gotta remind myself to stop using their app to mobile order. It will add 40-50 minute delays even when they’re not busy. I literally would have eaten and left had I just ordered in line by the time my order was worked on. It’s so consistently long it’s honestly mind boggling. Their estimated time will be off by 20-30 minutes guaranteed.
The cashier with the name tag on his hat in the front that helped me out today was a total joke. Gave him my gift card and he started swiping so quick the register couldn’t read it and ended up scratching it. Ordered chips and queso as well and he put the piping hot queso it the plastic container wrapped in tin foil instead of the paper cups which ended up softening the cup making it spill everywhere when i got home. He’s a joke
Online ordering was a joke. We showed up and the line to “pick up” was longer than the line to order in the store. It was difficult to understand what was happening and they weren’t calling names so you stood around not wanting to go in front of anyone but also knowing my order should have been ready for quite awhile already according to the online system. Turns out once you got there you had to go tell them to start your order. Update- we got home with our order and it was wrong. Whatever we were hungry and going to eat anyway. And then we realized the salads didn’t have dressing. Yep, not a good experience for us tonight.
Please DO NOT PLACE ONLINE DELIVERY ORDERS for Cafe Rio. I arrived right at the appointed time for pickup. I have been waiting for over an hour now, and I still can't get any sort of idea how long it might take to get the order handed off to me. Delivery drivers have been flooding in the whole time, so the dining room is so full of us there is very little seating left for dine-in customers. Meanwhile, there is only one employee working on delivery orders, and she's only able to hand off one order every three or four minutes. The situation here is appalling. Obviously, they are NOT capable of handling delivery/to-go orders. Meanwhile, I the delivery drivers have no way of knowing how much pay we're missing out on. Disrespectful in the extreme.
Ordered delivery. When it arrived, the tacos that were supposed to have pico, lettuce, and sour cream instead had tortilla strips and lettuce. Half the toppings on one taco weren’t even fully on the taco, but spread over the foil wrapping. They also neglected to include the bag of chips that I paid for. Don’t know how much of the blame should be on DoorDash, but I think there’s enough fault to spare between DoorDash and Cafe Rio for the disappointing and lackluster effort. Unfortunately couldn’t find any source of recourse outside of posting this review. Edited to add: I just opened my “pico de gallo” and it turns out they gave me salsa instead of pico, and the salsa had some bits of lettuce included. The only thing that turned out okay was the horchata, but I guess that’s probably the easiest thing to get right.
Horrible experience today! Grossly understaffed. Line long, only ONE person making the food running her legs off while some guy who looked like he was in charge walking around with a backpack giving orders to people NOT helping Customers. Trash overflowing. Food cold, old. Napkins out. Guy at register short-mannered, curt.
To be honest I never write reviews about places but this place was so unwelcoming rude and impatient. As soon as we started ordering the girl helping us was rude and impatient giving us two seconds to respond. I wanted sauce in my burrito and lettuce not that hard to add in and the girl made it seem like it was the end of the world. After asked if she could finally wrap the burrito in a rude snarky tone. Then when it came time to put are sauce on top with the cheese she asked again gave us two seconds to respond and just walked away. It was the worst experience I have had at a fast food place.
