My roommates brought me some, when we were in the mood for milk tea. It was so good and reminded us of all the good milk tea back in our home town. So it might have the power to cure your homesickness.

First time here. Tried the iced black tea with coconut, boba & nornal sweetness. Iced black tea with lemon and boba. Minty hibiscus special iced tea. All were delicious. Very refreshing, will be back to try other favors.

Nice friendly staff and they allow you to customize your drink anyway you like. It's a nice atmosphere to go have cold beverage and relax.

I come from Taiwan and Em-Tea is definitely a great tea shop. The flavor is almost identical to the original flavor in Taiwan which is absolutely amazing.

Amazing Boba drinks here, with so many flavors to choose from and a nice selection of toppings to go along with it. The "wall menu" gives you many combinations to create, and they have a nice seletion of desserts to choose from too. I also love the fact that they have games for you and friends to play with (including "cards against humanity" and "Jenga") and it's a great atmosphere to be around. If you love small tea / boba tea shops with a hipster bay area feel, this is the place for you!

Despite some bad reviews gave this place a try.. I wanted to try the osmanthius tea but they were out, so tried the Kwan Yin green tea, no milk (they were out of coconut milk— trying to cut out dairy) no sugar because I know red beans will be sweet already & added chia seeds. I’m surprised and wonderfully satisfied with my order. Was afraid I’d hate it, like some new places, and water money, but the drink was the refreshing thing I needed and they delivered. Oh, and you must try their delicious macaroons. I got tiramisu and citrus.

I LOVE BOBA and I've tried a lot of places but this tea shop is amazing almost like a food- gasm! Also the environment seems young and hipster like, I was there for about 30min and it seemed like a lot of college kids go in there. I would definitely recommend it!

EmTea is a tiny bit pricey, but they offer a punch card and all of their drinks are delicious!! Definitely mine and my daughter's favorite tea shop in Merced~

Chill vibe and good selection of Boba drinks. Have macaroons, Onigiri at times, mochi donuts and other goodies. One of the best place for Boba in Merced in my opinion.

Sweet Tea variety is good with milk. They have Cards Against Humanity and Uno, as well as a few other board/card games. Smell of Five Guys next door will make you hungry though.

Anytime we are in town we hit up Em-Tea. Throughout all California, it has proven to be my favorite spot, beats all other places in Fresno as well. They have hot teas, slushes, and ice milk teas as well as home specialties. A unique one we always get is Bee-yourself, blended yogurt with honey and lemon, always hits the spot with some fresh boba that isn't drowning in sugar like other places lol worth the visit!

Great place for bubble tea! Lots of flavors to choose from (from wintermelon to blueberry to fruity rose), your choice of black, green, or no tea added, and numerous toppings (bobas, puddings, jellies). Very popular with college crowd (bus route to In Shape on Cattracks E1 line brings you a block away). If you want a meal to go with it, Five Guys burgers and fries is next door, also recommended.

Always make good tea for an amazing price, cup sizes are very large and don't fit into the average car holder but they have s new top system that completely seals over the top of the lid to prevent spills.

We have come here maybe 4 times now and the tea is pretty good. I was surprised that the teas were sweet with no added sweetener. If you order from the premium teas they have to steep these And take 6 minutes and are not as sweet. The boba is decent. It’s a nice refreshing place to go in the summer.

It had been several years since I last visited. I was happy to know that their cups now fit into car cup holders! I got the Thai milk tea with egg pudding and it was all great. The place was very clean and had quite a lot of seating for a small shop. I would definitely go back.

Pricey drinks but you get a good amount even for a regular size... There aren't really any food options but you can get small (bit pricey) snacks. Quick service, nice staff. They have a nice, cute decorative vibe & sometimes have board/card games available.

Very good variety of teas that I like. Even though I'm more of a juice person than tea, this place does not disappoint when it comes to the quality of the drinks. It is also a good place to hang out with friends and study. Sanitation is fantastic and I always love the scenery of this place.

I’m always impressed with the quality of the tea here and it’s pretty consistent. The ambiance is perfect for studying or writing. Even when business picks up, the sound level is a lot more comfortable than other local cafes. Service is always friendly and they keep the place pretty clean.

The first time I went to Em-Tea was with one of my roommates, and I loved this place. I don't remember what I got last time, but it was good. This time, on April 22, 2022, I got myself a strawberry flavor with green tea and popping boba. It tastes really good and I would recommend this place to anyone who loves boba! They also have the UNO cards, which I played with my friends once to have fun and kill time while waiting for our drinks to be picked up.

Delicious tea and great service, they do get a bit busy so having patience or calling in your order and texting would be nice for those who don't want to wait. I have made it my goal to taste all the premium teas they have and so far no regrets! Be sure to stop by for some good tea!

One of my favorite places to hangout at Merced. Very friendly staffs. Cozy environment. Can get crowded though. The only thing that I would request the owners to have better sitting arrangements to cope with their peak hours and keep adding new board games.

Pretty good, relatively consistent with the flavors of teas (especially sweetness level wise). Do recommend getting light sweetness if you're just trying out the teas at this location. This is way better than Quickly's, real teas, real flavors, people are nice, and the sizes of teas are pretty good for the prices. Only complaint is that if you order a large tea (their biggest size and is the one that you will most likely pick), the price is under $5 with tax included. They have this thing where if your order is under $5 in total, you get charged an extra 50 cents when paying via card, so pay in cash. Good thing is they have a punch card and so after every 8 drinks, your 9th drink will be free (provided you have the punch card). You can play games like Jenga here too. Bathrooms are clean and a good number of tables for the overall size of the store.

Wonderful milk tea/boba spot. You can tell the tea and the many different flavors are much more natural than other spots. Great place to have study groups/sessions or hangouts (pre-pandemic of course). They have board games and cards you can play with others too.

I was amazed and couldn't stop sipping. The tapioca pearls were nice and squishy not that poor cheap ones that are mushy and stale. They are soaking in some nice syrup. Loved the way it came out. Will be coming here every week from now. Finally found my to go Boba place. Not sure about the other flavors for I have only tried Taro flavor and that's it 😅. So hopefully they make your favorite flavors good as well. 🫡

The tea is fine but it's pricey. The staff is generally meh. The interior is beautiful and yet I find the atmosphere to be sterile and uninviting.

The drinks are good but the main owner is a bit rude when we come in, they take a little too long for how many people there is. Overall its an okay place to go to when you have time to kill.

Love their boba tea, but they introduce these self serve cashier where stupid people are taking up to 10-15 minutes to work out their order while no one is manning the cashier or helping these idiots how to figure out to use them.

I go here a lot with my roommates and I feel I definitely can finally make a review based on the average of how they do. Consistency doesn’t happen here. What you get one day does not taste the same like it does at a Starbucks. I always used to get the same thing, Strawberry Bobba with black Tea and milk. Never tasted the same every time I got it. In the picture I requested a raspberry slush with milk no sugar at all. Was told it could be done. Well it definitely has sugar and definitely no milk. So I cant drink my $5.00 drink. I had a gastric bypass and it will make me sick. So it’s a little frustrating when I drive all the way from Atwater to get no consistency and wrong orders.

I really like em tea’s drinks it’s the customer service that could be horrible. I will say Thank you when they hand me my drink but won’t get a reply back lol. I’ve went constantly and 3 out of those 5 days they won’t have boba in hand 🙄

I ordered a *medium* hot jasmine chai (no additional sugar added, no toppings), which was really good and still sweet, albeit overpriced at ~5.35 with the 50c charge. It's a good place to study, but I personally don't see the hot teas as worth it. I wouldn't suggest getting the macarons. Service was all right

I heard their Okinawa Milk Tea was like Hong Kong style Milk Tea. I have not been this disappointed in a long time. It's way too sweet for normal sweetness.

I always go here with my youngest daughter and twice in this past week we've had two bad experiences with drinks and personal. It wasn't like this before, hope it gets better.

It’s so hot inside! It’s summer it shouldn’t be more cooler outside. I feel bad for the workers. Also the waits are getting a little ridiculous 20 minutes for a tea is a little to much. If you call in orders expect to wait a while as well. They seem to start making call in orders as soon as you get there.

The boba here is so bad. Very iver cooked and bland. The tea had good flavor but the boba ruined it. The lady was very nice. If this was a rating for personality and service, the lady would have 5 stars, but were not .. this is to rate the product coupled with service. For me, the product will always outweigh service, thats the reason I go to a place. If you like boba, this is not the place. Very bad.

The Tea is very good. I love the variety. I come here weekly. But they are very slow at expediting orders. It seems as it could be a family ran business. The same employees and they look tired maybe hire some new employees with some experience in the business to help in that area

Was really excited to bring my girlfriend for her first time since I had previously tried Em Tea with friends. Was really happy and we chose to sit together on the same couch by the door due to no seating available. We were just enjoying ourselves having a good laugh and talking about our plans for her birthday when the guy with glasses comes to us and ask us to basically stop displaying our affection for each other because customers wanted to complain. I dont see what was wrong with the image, but the image I know is Em Tea not being a place for us at all. DONT GO TO EM TEA. THEY DO NOT SUPPORT COUPLES just enjoying their day after work.

The workers there hardly answer the phone 9 times out of 10. Great drinks, bad service. I tried calling twice before I arrived, the third time it was disconnected. When I arrived I asked them if they still accepted call in orders because the phone stopped ringing. The worker didn’t even know what to say when I asked.
