I love the cochinita pibil, kinda of sweet to be honest. Shrimp tacos were chef kiss too, but be aware are spicy! I was crying and I considered myself good eating spicy. Beautiful music in Spanish and the fact that they have parking was worth the hour driving from Orange.

They got house made tortillas, really good horchata and the food is really really good. If you get any tacos with a spice level of 8 or higher, definitely get horchata with it because it's very spicy but delicious. As of today it's my new favorite Mexican food spot

Guisados is quality over quantity. Don't expect huge portions. That said the horchata was probably the best I've ever had. The eggs were fluffy, not overly cooked, potatoes had a lot of flavor, and salsa roja had a nice kick, but not overly spicy. First time here, and definitely won't be the last.

Excellent tacos on freshly handmade corn tortillas. Everything we tried was delicious, but I'd especially recommend the cochinita pibil and the chorizo quesadilla. The horchata coffee was also quite nice. Very friendly service, and our food came out quickly. Definitely worth a visit!

This place honesty just hits the spot every time you have a craving for tacos. It’s so juicy. Decently priced and it comes out so fast.

Very clean and people came in to check on us often. The tacos were a bit pricey but they were AMAZING! I recommend trying a sampler if it’s your first time and an horchata.

Excellent tacos. Super cool staff. You can't go wrong with any of the tacos or tamales. My favorite tacos are: Chuleta en Chile Verde, Hongos con Cilantro and Cochinita Pibil but everything is good. The front patio is great for having tacos and beers with friends. There is also this little dog that hangs out there sometimes that's very cool, he begs for food but don't let his cute puppy eyes fool you, he's already had more tacos than you.

Great food/tacos & drinks/aguas frescas I had the steak, shrimp, calabasitas, and quesadilla panela cheese. Drank the Armando Palmero (Jamaica/Lemonade) The handmade tortillas are magic & what gives the tacos their great flavor. Salsa's have a good kick (verde chipotle) I highly recommend this place & plan on visiting again.

Nice first time experience at this location. The cashier was welcoming and cleaned after each order. They had patio seating which was cleaned regularly and brought our food to us in appropriate time. Fresh tortillas made by hand are always delicious. Guisados doesn't disappoint! This pic is the chicken tamale with egg (after a bite), chicharron taco, shrimp tacos, chorizo and papa taco. We brought our own coffee of course. 😉

This is a nice fancy Guisados. Similar to the other ones, service is good and tacos are great. A plus is the patio providing a more pleasant dinning experience. Another big plus, not a lot of people know is to order your tacos on cabbage (when you watching calories). Notice they raised the prices. Highly recomended.

We also had them with beer and aguas frescas. Their aguas frescas (orchata) was also really good! We also ordered the following: - The sampler (6 small tacos or mini tacos), 1 chckn mole, 2 tinga, 2 beef, pork, 1 chicharon The tortillas were being made fresh and by hand, right in front of us!! Highly recommended!!!

The quesadilla with chorizo is my favorite, all their tacos are delicious. The staff is always super nice.

Good variety of tacos for meat eaters and vegetarians. The horchata was delicious and comes in a good size.

Yummy breakfast tacos. I had a tocino (bacon) and it was so good. Next time I return I'm trying the hotdog one. The corn tortilla was so good. I could just eat that.

Sooo tasty and great service. You can get 6 sampler mini tacos to try them out before commiting to full sized portions. The staff is very helpful and will explain each taco to you. This is the second location I've been to and they're both amazing (1st in Burbank). I'm from San Diego and made a point to come here for their tacos.

Great service and all our tacos were so good! We ordered ceviche, quesadilla with chorizo, shrimp taco, chicharron taco, bistec piscado... they're agua de Limon and melon were so refreshing.

I can’t believe how empty it was when we went, the food was so good I wanted to go back for more immediately even though I was stuffed. The horchata and teas are also very good, come and try their sampler platter and you’ll be surprised by how filling it is.

Great food with plenty of outside seating. Great service, we were offered a free sweet bread from the bakery by the staff. Highly recommend the cochinita pibil (upper right in the photo). It comes in heat level between 1 and 10. If you order 10 you'll never have to prove your courage in any other way.

We came from Fresno (350 miles away) to try the cochinita pibil tacos, and we loved them. You can pick what spicy level you want from 1 to 10, I picked 2 and the spicy Chile Habanero salsa was perfect!

We found ourselves facing an uphill battle on New Years Day, Rose Bowl Parade, no where open, raining, morale was at an all time low. Walking down the road we stumbled upon Guisados. BOOM saved the day. Elite breakfast burritos, elite service, and some of the most pristine/fresh limes I’ve ever seen in my days. Modelos on deck as well. What a time. What an establishment.

Some of the best tacos and service (which is weird to say for a fast casual type place) I’ve had. The cochinita pibil was my personal favorite but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, they have samplers with 6 mini tacos and the first one I got was so good I went back to get another so I could try the rest. 12 mini tacos later, I am very impressed, full, and grateful for the staff seeming to take a very genuine interest in making sure we had a great time. I will absolutely go out of my way to come here next time I’m in town.

Amazing food. The sampler is a great choice as the tacos variety is delicious. Reasonable, nice outside patio, cool inside. Quick and easy, has PARKING👌

All their meats are amazing and not dry at all! They keep their tacos simple but the flavor is complex! The service was top notch was greeted with a smile and the menu explained. They also have fresh juices which pairs very nicely. Definitely recommend!

Great customer service from the cashier and food was delicious. Plenty of spots in the parking lot. There is seating inside and outside, which were both clean and inviting. The food came out quick and was high quality.

I like the Habanero sauce. Everything I've tried has been good. Try the Horchata Cold Brew, it's delicious

Good selection of vegetarian tacos. Had the calabacitas taco and Jamaica. Taco was decent, but needed more umph, some salt or seasoning. The thicker corn tortilla was better than average.

Loved the quesadilla with chuleta, which is the diced pork chop with chili verde sauce. We also tried their sampler taco plate with both beef, both chicken, a chuleta and hongo (mushroom). Hongo was pretty good but, again, the chuleta was the stand-out as it was tender but still had some chewiness.

Another LA staple. From the DT location to the Pasadena location, they always deliver. I like that they have both outdoor and indoor seating, and it's spacious. My go-to is their OG mini taco sampler plate, it comes with the steak picado, bistek Roja, tinga, mole, chicharron & cochinita pibil. And I highly recommend trying their chicharron (deep fried pork rinds braised in Chile verde). Simply the best! I noticed that they have expanded their menu these days. We also had the ceviche tostada, and I must say, it was unexpectedly fresh! They also have tamale, quesadilla, and breakfast options (breakfast only before 11am) Simply put, one of the best stewy tacos in LA! #bb10

Consistently delicious. Spacious place. Nice staff . Prices aren't clearly shown, if at all, which is not great. Order some food and roll the dice on the price.

They serve fresh yellow corn tortillas for the tacos, which are great, but they could use just a little more salt or something to really make them pop. I love their tacos overall, but every location is a little different. Personally, I like the Burbank location the best. CONS: If you’re someone who likes to sit outside, you might not enjoy it here—the corner intersection and passing train can get really loud. Inside is definitely the better choice!

Mushroom taco was amazing. Plain iced coffee was okay. I like the fact that I can go in and grab something really small and head out. Outdoor seating only. Very nice atmosphere.

The tacos were okay. The tortillas were too thick for my liking. I would have like it if these tacos had some diced onions with cilantros. And, the tamale with cheese was a little on the dry side.

As a local, I've really wanted to love Guisados. I've given it multiple chances, hoping each visit would reveal the 'right' dish that would turn me into a regular. Unfortunately, each experience has left me consistently underwhelmed. The standout, and the sole reason for my three-star rating, is undoubtedly their tortillas – they're fresh, warm, and perfectly complement any filling. It's a shame the fillings themselves often fall short. While the fish tacos are a passable option, they lack the vibrant flavors or unique twist I look for. For many of their other offerings, I've found the flavors to be sub par and the textures unappealing, despite the promise of their slow-cooked fillings. My most recent visit, however, introduced an entirely different kind of disappointment. While dining on their patio, I spent a significant portion of my meal keeping an eye on a visible family of mice. While I'm not particularly squeamish and they were, in a strange way, a bit cute, their presence was certainly off-putting and noticeably deterred other potential customers. It's an issue that definitely detracts from the dining experience and raises questions about hygiene, regardless of how 'cute' they might be. Ultimately, despite its convenient location and fantastic tortillas, Guisados hasn't managed to win me over. The consistent underperformance of their taco fillings, coupled with concerning patio hygiene issues, means I'll likely be looking elsewhere for my taco fix.

Went awhile back. It was ok , but definitely so many other better taco places. I did get few tacos , but one of them was way too spicey ( can't recall if ) i had asked if it's spicey , pretty sure i did becuz i don't eat real spicey food. And they didn't even have any onions and cilantro , which all Mexican restaurants have or offer for their tacos. So haven't been back since , and doubt i would ever try again ( esp. not having ) onions and cilantro , i love those on my tacos. Unless this is not a Mexican restaurant but still , when your serving tacos , have the sides to put on them. ( no , not just a slice of onion ) like i see in some photos. But the corn tamales were yummie

I had a breakfast Chuleta burrito. First of all that is not a burrito at least not the size of it. It’s more like a taco. It had no flavor whatsoever and to top it off expensive. I have eaten at this restaurant in the past and the food was very delicious in the past now the food has no flavor. I wouldn’t recommend it.
