Passion on a plate. I love this place. Marco’s passion shines through in everything he does, and his direct, clear approach makes the whole experience feel authentic. Don’t come here expecting frills. Just bring patience and an appetite for delicious Italian food. The only hesitation in sharing this review is knowing it might mean longer wait times… it’s absolutely worth it.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had the Caesar salad and Papparadelle with the Amatriciana sauce. The entire staff couldn’t have been nicer, including the chefs. I was visiting from out of town and they gave me recommendations on what to do, and made me feel like I was having a meal at a family member’s house. They even brought me a delicious lemon sorbet after. I highly recommend it and suggest eating in the restaurant if there’s space!

Simply the BEST Carbonara I’ve had since visiting Rome, and the rest of their dishes are just as delicious. Marco and the team are great chefs and even greater people, always there for their customers and setting up a great ambiance and environment where we all get to know each other at any given point. I’ll be coming here often, so consider me their most recent regular!

Love it! Very very good. Highly recommend this place.... awesome awesome place. Everything is handmade with LOVE. I can't say enough about this beautiful place. Edit... 0ct 4 2022. I feel compelled to write this review after multiple visits more than I care to admit 😅 maybe over 30 at this point. First I would like to point out the obvious I have nothing to win from this review ONLY my HONEST OPINION. 1. Fatto a Mano makes only GENUINE AND REAL Italian food. I have been to Italy twice now and let me tell you I prefer Fatto a mano over 99% of places HERE IN ITALY (IM CURRENTLY IN 🇮🇹). I'm the kind of guy that eats a lot 😅, therefore I believe I'm qualified to speak on this topic. It is unfair to leave a bad review for the wonderful people at Fatto A Mano because YOU THE CUSTOMER comes to this business looking "for American Italian food" maybe go eat something gross that comes from a microwave or a factory like 1. Olive garden 2. Sbarro or somewhere else ONLY COME HERE IF YOU WANT THE BEST MOST AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE EVEN BETTER THAN ITALY...TRUST ME!!. 2. Yes it does get busy, yes sometimes we have to wait yes it sucks but there is nothing ANYONE CAN DO. Marco Arlene and his Wonderful team work very very hard to accommodate everyone and do the best they can in every single situation. Good things take time ⏲️ please drink your ☕️ and enjoy life. 3. You cannot judge a place based on 1 interaction. Not only is that unfair, it is wrong. Imagine if people judged based on 1 tiny interaction. Do you think that would be a good assessment of you as a person? Please learn to be patient, try not to be entitled, be open minded and be NICE. The difference between a good person and a bad person is that the good Constantly TRIES TO DO GOOD, the other doesn't care. We are all human we all have bad days, good days and somewhere in the middle days but please at the very least appreciate and recognize the effort people at Fatto A Mano do everyday. Most other restaurants will never take the time to personally contact you to MAKE IT RIGHT. Other places could care less about what you have to say. Understand that marco is taking time out of his busy day to contact you PERSONALLY TO ADDRESS YOUR CONCERN. What else do you want? If this doesn't show how much care and love he and his team put into his food I don't know what will..... To end my review I can't wait to get back home and run to Fatto a Mano to eat there. Only come here if you want the very best genuine italian food, and if you appreciate the effort, love and time put into this wonderful place and the personal attention...then this is your place!

Small homey shop. Don't forget to order while you are talking about the new puppies because it was the great food you came in for in the first place! If it is busy, order before you start your laundry and you'll be ready to make another mess on your clothers.

Absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I randomly came across this incredible hole in the wall after my boyfriend’s haircut next store and wow what a gem. The service was amazing, they go through each menu item with you and you never feel rushed. Now they tell you before you order that the wait is 45 minutes which we were completely fine with because it’s made to order and so so fresh! Waiting in the restaurant feels like being in an Italian family’s kitchen with how friendly and nice they are. We already have decided we are going back to try more items on their menu. If you are willing to wait for some of the best italian food 10/10 go and hangout!

The food, Italian hot chocolate, espresso, and lemon cake were out of this world. The moment you walk in the welcomes are warm, and unbelievably kind. It's like walking into an Italian grandma's kitchen. You are treated with the highest respect and feel like your apart of their family. I HIGHLY recommend everything about this place. My husband are already looking forward to next visit and we just left. TOTALLY worth the 45 min drive. We will definitely be back.

WOW, just amazing 😍 ... definitely one of my favorite Italian restaurants! You feel like you are in Italy. Marco & Arlene make you feel at home. You truly feel like you are eating with family; they greet you with love and make the most delicious food. My husband found this place a few weeks ago and brought some pasta home to prepare. I was immediately hooked. I had to go the next day to try it in person. A week later, we were biking in the area and decided to go again. I will definitely be going regularly, as they have seasonal items that I cannot wait to try. Here are some of the things we have tried: *Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe (At home & in person) - 12/10! It is so good. The sauce is velvety, smooth, and perfectly salty with the right amount of pepper. The pasta is cooked al dente, just perfect. The instructions to cook at home are so easy to follow. *Spaghetti Bolognese - The sauce reminds me of my grandma's cooking; it was very nostalgic for me to eat! *Asparagus & Prawns - This is a lovely combination. The prawns are very fresh, pillowy in consistency, and almost sweet in flavor. The asparagus sauce adds to the balance of the dish. *Pizza Margherita - The dough is crunchy and pillowy, with sauce and cheese and that fresh basil added on top... just wow. I usually like thin-crust pizza, but this one is just so good. *Lasagna Bolognese - mmm, it is so good! The right amount of meat, bechamel?, cheese and pasta sheets are so well cooked throughout! Fatto a Mano is truly a gem. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine with a warm, family-like atmosphere, this is the place to be!

Authentic Italian fine cuisine. Marco the chef is a passionate person that loves his kitchen and cooking. Detailed, delicate and delightful dining experience in this little and cozy set up. Superb warming atmosphere and always ended up with a compliment espresso. Worth driving 50 miles, absolutely. Thank you Marco.

This is an immaculate restaurant. Italian meals that are better than the best in Italy itself. Marco is a cheerful host. We keep coming back trying different dishes each time. All are heavenly.

Let me Tell you About This Wonderful Little Gem 💎 that I Found on My Visit in Cali from Boston. The Roman 🧑‍🍳Chef Marcos has such A Passion for his Culinary Craft that it Shows in his Made From Scratch Creations 😋. As we Continued to Chitchat he would Greet Everyone with a Big Smile and Inviting Manor that Reminds me of The Old Country and his wife Arlene was so Great to Talk too also. Now let's get into The Roman Style Pizza which was Awesome😋. The Light and Airy Dough was Magnificent😋. The Taste of Fresh Tomatoes 🍅 and Basil was Sinfully Intoxicating😋. The Hand Shredded Mozzarella Combined to Create a Symphony of Flavors 😋. The Roman Style Margarita Pizza is So Amazingly Delicious 😋. The Romaine Salad was a Refreshing Delight 😋. The Service was Great 👍. Arlene and Marco keep up The Great Work🥰. See you Guys on My Next Visit to Cali. I Highly Recommend Fatto a Mano! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is not just food, it was a unforgettable dining experience. The couple and their staff were so personable and attending. Yes, there is a wait, but it's so worth it. We tried three pasta and one pizza, I wish we tried every item on the menu!

Truly the best italian food ive ever had in the states, and the best pesto ive ever had period. I got pappardelle with bolognese and margherita pizza and pesto on gnocchi. The pesto you could taste every ingredient it was sooo good and perfectly seasoned such that nothing overpowered the flavors of the pine and basil and whatever else was in there. The bolognese was amazing with plenty of meat as well. The pizza was also sooo good the dough was cushy and savory. Finally the service was awesome. The chef yells at you asking if it tastes good and says something if u arent confident about how much you like it, which i learned from the table next to us so we yelled WE LOVE IT ITS DELICIOUS. So much fun. They ask for ur name too so they can talk to u via name. Note that there are only 3 tables and maybe 4 window stool seats.

The owners are truly sincere about the their food and the service. And they were enjoying every moment seeing them made us happy as well. Real homemade and nothing like fast-foods. And last but not least, the tiramisu gelato is soooo GOOD!!!!

Delicious fresh pasta and pizza coupled with amazing service. You can’t help but love Marco! His welcoming smile is contagious and his food is to die for. The take home option is pretty awesome as well. Marco packages the fresh pasta and sauce separately and provides instructions on how to put it together. Love this place!!!

This place is interesting. 1. Service is great. Marco and Arlene made sure to remember your name. And they will deliver the order to you calling your name. They also serve you a cup of espresso before you go. Very nice couple. They also seemed very much enjoy their job there.. Wait, it's not a job to them. They looked like they have so much fun cooking for the neighborhood it feels like I just went to a little village in Italy enjoying home made food. 2. Food is great! The spaghetti was so fresh and al dente. I haven't had such great texture anywhere outside of Italy. It was amazing!! The pappardelle with pesto was also extraordinarily. The sauce was tasty, love the pine nuts in the sauce and again the texture was awesome! Specially Al dente. Tagiollini with Amatriciana sauce was not as excited. The texture is not as al dente but it's got something to do with the shape of the pasta. I also didn't like the sauce as much. I thought it'd be spicier but still not bad but I won't recommend it. This place is special but it's very small. 3 or 4 tables? But the moment you walk in, it feels like you are in Italy. So welcoming and warm.

Food was very fresh and delicious. It’s a one man kitchen - They don’t make accommodations to the food, whats on the menu is what you get. Suggest ordering ahead, as you will wait. There is limited seating, 12-15 seats.

Marco is very warm and welcoming! The pasta is made with care and love. I haven’t had pasta this delicious since I visited Italy. It’s a small shop that gets busy on the weekends but so worth the wait!

This was my first time trying their pasta, and it in no way disappointed! Everything was so fresh and delicious, and alongside the amazing food, the service was also so incredible, and the owners made me feel very welcomed! I am excited to come back again to dine-in with some friends, and if anyone is craving pasta, this is definitely the spot!!!

Marco and Arlene are the best hosts and serve extraordinary delicious pizza. They care about their customers, discuss the best pasta pairings and engage in conversation to get to know you. Been here a bunch of times and enjoy coming every time. Complimentary Cold gelato in the summer, hot chocolate in the winter and excellent company while enjoying delicious pizza and pasta. Yes the wait can be long at certain times, but they're up front about it. Worth the wait each time.

If you live nearby, you must visit this pasta shop. It feels like you're in Italy. You can taste delicious and authentic Italian pasta here. Next time, I'll visit with my daughter, who loves Italian food, and try the pizza. The pizza looks delicious too. Be sure to visit this place run by a friendly owner! Love this place!

Dining in is part of the experience. By the end of the night you will be part of the family as everyone in the cozy little shop makes you feel welcome. Dishes prepared with love and served fresh from Marco a few feet away. A delicious anniversary dinner. Will return for some to-go options since we are definitely going to have to try everything else on the menu. Don't forget the hot chocolate at the end.

Note - I am about to GUSH over this place, so be prepared. Tiny authentically Italian spot tucked away in a strip mall in Redondo Beach. Came here with a couple of friends on a Tuesday around 6pm and the place was bustling. Note that there’s only 3 tables inside with 3 counter seats, so it’s a very small place. A lot of people opted for takeout, since they don’t rush you to leave after your meal (very European!) and there’s not a lot of seating. Parking is available in the front in the shared strip mall lot. Credit cards accepted. You order/pay at the counter and then they bring your food out. Food-wise, everything was delicious. The food took about 40 minutes to come out and they let you know it upfront. The cacio e pepe sauce was incredibly creamy and the pappardelle noodles were perfectly cooked. We shared 3 slices of pizza among the 3 of us and they even kindly threw in a 4th slice to try. The dough was crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. My favorite was the gustoes, which is a potato pizza. The service was immensely friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like family, and I noticed so many locals and repeat customers. Bravo to Fatto a Mano!

I had an amazing experience at Fatto a la Mano! The food was absolutely delicious you can really taste the freshness and authenticity in every bite. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and everything felt truly homemade. The staff was warm, friendly, and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a date night or a nice dinner with family. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great Italian food! The owners gave us complimentary hot chocolate

Such a great time!! If you want authentic Italian food made with care and expertise this is the place for you. What it’s not is homogenous Americanized corporate restaurant food that is one step above McDonald’s. But at McDonald’s you know what you’re going for and your not fooling yourself in to thinking your eating fine Italian fair. First thing that you get is asked your name. But not so they can give you the food when it’s done but so they can make the experience more welcoming and warm. There is a genuine desire to make the experience pleasant. Next my wife ordered a sauce that is a bit more adventurous because it is seafood based. They warn you and explain what you’ll get. When it came out it was amazing. Litteralky the best seafood based sauce I’ve had. I ordered the bolognese. It was perfect. The fusilli was cooked perfectly. The portions were just what you would want to eat for diner not over loaded. We also got the focaccia bread and it was not drown in oil. It was crispy and warm with amazing soft olive oil middle. Loved that bread. Over all this was a great experience. One negative which actually made it more cozy and friendly was the limited seating. If your not in to closeness and not a friendly person order to go.

Such a relaxed atmosphere to savor delicious housemade pasta and pizza. Arlene and Marco, who run the place, are genuinely kind folks who made us feel welcomed, as soon as we got seated at our table. We saw and heard how they, and their staff, welcomed each guest who walked in to dine or pick up their takeout, with enthusiastic hellos even from the back of the kitchen. Once in a while, Marco burst into song. It’s tough to pick a favorite but their pesto was just sumptuous! Definitely try a pasta and a pizza, at least. And don’t forget to try their dessert: the almond and walnut ciambella was surprising with just the right amount of sweetness, their lemon sorbet was the perfect end to an unforgettable meal. Bravo Fatto a Mano!

Best pasta in LA and Southern California. Yeah they’re other restaurants I like as well, but Marco the head chef is truly skillful when it comes to cooking. Genuinely the most lovely dining experience we have ever had! Not only was the food absolutely amazing, the owners Marco and Arlene were the most kind and generous hosts. They learned our names, chatted with us, surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary celebration and we left with full bellies and happy hearts! Everything was delicious, by and far the best Italian we have eaten. You can’t go wrong with any dish! We tried the new summer salad (so flavorful and fresh!) lasagna bolognese, pesto fusilli, cacio de Pepe spaghetti, buffalo margherita pizza, and tagliolini and almond cake. We went for an early dinner (4pm) and were able to snag one of the 3 tables and only waited 15-20 min for the food to start coming out. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to go back!!

Found this spot randomly on the way to the gym. Big fan of Italian, so definitely had to try it. Especially since their name means “Handmade” so you know a lot of care goes into the pasta. Had the Caesar Salad, their Buffalo Caprese Salad, the Cacio e Pepe, and the papparadelle and Amatricana sauce. Very very good. Portions are great. It is a little on the pricier side but the quality is excellent. The interior is very small so get there early to make sure you get a seat.

The easiest review I've ever done. ALL 5 STARS! This nook of an Italian kitchen, hardly showcases it's value through photos or reviews. The energy is marvelous. From the start Arlene helped us understand the food and ordering as Marco toss flames of Italian fragrances throughout the restaurant. Not many table, we lucked out though. Got in right before ethe rush. Trust me, that rush is no joke. They cook everything with such great love of the role. Which is where their customer service shines. Marco shouted everyone's name who walked through the door and greeted them as he came from the kitchen. What? That is amazing and I love it. Arlene knew our names before we knew hers. I must say, it's refreshing to see people work and enjoy the community. Okay, the quality of the food. 5 STARS to me on the past and for sure Pesto Pizza. The Salad was my only if, because e of the amount of oil that it came with was a bit mushy for my taste and salty. I didn't like the spinach salad, but all the other things had me clapping alone in my head. Desserts are amazing especially the orange walnut ciambella Look, the prices validate the quality of Pasta and Pizza you'll have. You are getting the VERY BEST customer service in LA. Hmm, yeah don't pass this place up.

Finally had the chance to try this place. They serve fresh, handmade pasta, and oh my goodness, it’s amazing! We ordered the Buffalo Mozzarella Pizza, Cacio e Pepe Spaghetti, Bolognese Sauce with Pappardelle, and Fregula with King Prawns and Stracciatella Cheese. We arrived right at opening, so the wait wasn’t too bad, but the entire experience took about 1.5 hours. We waited almost 45 minutes to get our food, and there were four plate changes for the different types of pasta and pizza we ordered. The food was incredible, and it truly satisfied my pasta craving. The owners were also very friendly, which made the whole experience even better.

The very special lady in my life recently introduced me to Arlene and Marcos’ Fatto a Mano and I simply can not be appreciative enough. One, for her sharing a favorite place of hers with me, and two, introducing me to what will absolutely be a favorite place of mine! Arlene and Marco immediately greeted us super warmly and quickly broke into a delicious description of the servings they offer. We decided on the Margherita pizza slice, an order of the Spaghetti in Carbonara Sauce, and a new style of pasta for me despite my New York upbringing surrounded by enormous Italian cuisine, Paccheri in a Cacio e Pepe sauce. As you can see in our photos and the many others already shared by their legions of fans, everything was absolutely delicious and we loved every single bite! I can’t wait to share this experience again with my Beautiful foodie! Thank you Babe for sharing and thank you Arlene and Marco, we’ll see you again soon! S & K.

If you want to know what pasta should taste like, go to Fato a Mano. My daughter said it best on her first visit: “This is what pasta should taste like.” We’ve been coming here for years, and that still sums it up perfectly. Every plate is fresh, handmade, and unforgettable. You can taste the care in the dough, the balance in the sauces, and the love in the recipes. Arlene and Marco have created something rare—a place where the food is consistently outstanding, and the hospitality makes you feel like family. It’s not just food, it’s the kind of meal that ruins you for average pasta anywhere else.

Our first time at Fatto a Mano and we will be back! Marco, the owner, greeted us as soon as we walked in and helped pick the perfect homemade pastas to match our chosen homemade sauces. Both sauces were delicious and the pastas were fresh. We also tried a slice of the Margherita pizza and it was light, fluffy, and so tasty. The pasta shop is small with only a couple of tables, but the food was amazing and Marco’s hospitality was even better!

Absolutely fantastic pasta dishes and great salad! Everything is made from scratch with love. Mario's pasta is better than most of the restaurants that I have eaten at in Italy, and I have been to Italy 6 times! We have ordered pasta there multiple times, and it is delicious every time. Plus, Mario and his wife are super friendly! Fatto A Mano is a real gem!

Pasta had a really good bite to it. Pizza was so fluffy. We loved eating here. Waiting time is long, though. Nonetheless, we enjoyed eating here. There's also free ice cream and a shot of coffee in the end.

Marco is the man! He was such a warm and sweet soul to speak too while in his restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. My group ordered four dishes and each was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place if you want a slice of Italy. Don’t forget the hot chocolate on your way out. Marco, I want to personally thank you for being such an amazing host to myself and my group. We will be back soon and bring even more family.

My boyfriend and I online ordered a pasta bolognese and Buffalo Margherita pizza late on a Sunday, intending to eat it at home. When we arrived, Arlene met us at the counter and was very welcoming and helpful with teaching us how to properly dress the pizza with the mozzarella. She also insisted we try the bolognese fresh before leaving, and since they had open seating we ended up dining in! The experience we had with Arlene and Marco was unmatched. From the amazing crispy pizza (put together by Marco, who did a much more incredible job than I could’ve at home), the delicious bolognese, and the fascinating stories about Marco’s travels, I am so grateful we decided to stay and dine in. You really are treated like family by Arlene and Marco, and their rich hot chocolate (which they gave us free samples of!) was awesome. We cannot wait to come back soon and try the pesto!

Can this place be any better? The food is amazing. You can taste the love in it. They care so much about the quality of what they make. I've never experienced this level of service, attentiveness, and true kindness from a restaurant. When you love what you make, which these guys obviously do, the results are spectacular.

I could write an essay about how amazing this place is. The owners, Marco and Arlene, are the most hospitable and sweet restaurant owners I’ve ever met. They asked for me and my family’s names when we ordered and referred to us by our first names throughout our meal. You can tell they aren’t just being nice to be nice, they genuinely want to build relationships with their customers. They wanted to make sure we enjoyed our experience, and just because of that, we did. Don’t even get me started on the food. Totally homemade in house, I mean, that’s incredible, and you can TOTALLY taste it! We got the lasagna, some pizza, pasta and WOWOWOW!!!! The flavor was insane and the portions were perfect. To make it even better, we all got a little cup of free homemade italian hot chocolate as well … way better than any american hot chocolate I’ve ever had. I will most definitely be back and can’t wait to see the owners again. It’s these restaurants that deserve all the support in the world. Marco and Arlene, my family and I already love you! God bless you guys and this place!

This is an immaculate restaurant. Italian meals that are better than the best in Italy itself. Marco is a cheerful host. We keep coming back trying different dishes each time. All are heavenly.

I finally decided to try this place after driving by it so many times on the way to Redondo Beach. My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant on Sunday evening a little before 7pm and it was full of patrons. The owners greeted everyone and made everyone feel right at home. The gnocchi I ordered was fantastic. You can tell the owners love what they do, and it shows in the tasty food that they serve. Make sure you call and order in advance to avoid wait times during the busy lunch and dinner hours. It could take 30-45 mins for your food to come out.

The parking is normally easy. There is very little seating, but you can get it to-go. Call your order ahead or expect to wait a very long time. The menu rotates frequently, so the menu pictured may not be relevant. The shop is managed by the wife while the husband cooks; there's only two people working. The wife is incredibly friendly and sweet. They gave us some free cake and coffee after the meal. I don't like coffee and the cake was a little dry, but the gesture was nice. As there is only enough space for like 4 groups, the wife chatted to all the customers in a very friendly. I'm not a fan of Italian food, but I came because my wife wanted to. The lasagna I got was okay. They all kind of taste the same to me, and it tastes like the frozen ones I've had, which I know will be blasphemy to many. The portion was okay at about $23. The cacio e pepe was very unique: the pasta was al dented, the cheese flavor was intense, sharp, and salty, and the black pepper was pronounced with large shards on top. My wife said it was about a 7/10. The portion wasn't huge, but the price was okay at $20. The pizza was basically bread with tomato sauce. The bread wasn't bad and the tomato sauce was fresh, but there was a bit too much olive oil and there wasn't any salt. It was about $13; not bad. Overall, I've had the best service of any restaurant here, but I didn't find some of the foods enjoyable, but that's probably just personal taste. They did have some seafood thing I was curious about, but overall I will probably continue looking elsewhere for something I like.

I called ahead to make sure I was able to pick up what I needed. The pasta(spaghetti) was a bit gummy even though I followed their instructions, but i want to be fair and it could have been how I made it? I made pasta aglio e olio for my dad and family on Father's day. They did enjoy it but we all felt the same with the actual pasta. I will definitely try this place again and select a different pasta maybe.

I was hoping to love this place! Maybe the next time I go I will dine in. I have a feeling that part of the issue was the takeout. My favorite thing that we ordered was the aged ham pizza! The flavors were delicious. We accidentally received the buffalo pizza as well, instead of the buffalo salad ordered. The mozzarella it was delicious as well, but the pizza was Completely soggy. It was just a piece of bread with marinara sauce or pizza sauce on top that has been sitting for 10 to 15 minutes. The pesto pasta was also very flavorful. But the Bolognese was missing something. And the pasta was on the mushier side. Like I said I think I will come back but eat there and hopefully get the full experience.
