i20 Ramen (Sattva Indian Cuisine) is a highly-rated Indian restaurant known for its flavorful dishes and friendly service. The lamb tikka masala, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan are frequently praised. Customers appreciate the fresh ingredients and eco-friendly packaging.
Tip: The staff is very accommodating to dietary restrictions like gluten and dairy allergies. Don't hesitate to ask for recommendations.
Our order was the paleek paneer (spinach with Indian-style cheese), the egg curry, and the aloo gobi (curried cauliflower with potatoes). Also ordered some papad (a sort of cracker made from chickpea flour), some raita (a cold yogurt sauce), and some mixed pickle. Everything was AMAZING. You're asked what spice level you want for most items (mild, medium, or spicy) and if you're concerned about how spicy it is just get the raita yogurt sauce to help balance it. The pickle (which looked like lime pieces, mango, and chilies) was so flavorful and zesty. Be careful of what I think are mango seed parts in the pickle as they are best left uneaten (and don't put it down the sink like I almost did lol). The paleek was very creamy and savory. Curry was well seasoned (my husband loves salty foods and added a touch to his which is an easy fix, but I found it didn't need it with the pickle). And the papad (which we were given tons of) were delightfully crispy with caraway seeds in the cracker. Very addictive when dipped in all the extra curry sauce you're given. The egg curry came with 3 whole eggs which I felt was just enough. The aloo gobi was an even ratio of cauliflower to potatoes. And lastly, you're given about 1.5 cups of boiled, white rice per entree item ordered which is a good portion. Please go here as the manager/owner was very kind and generous, food came out quickly, and it was packaged to-go very carefully!
Sattva Indian Cuisine is an absolute gem! The food is bursting with authentic flavors you can really taste the freshness in every dish. I especially loved the samosa chaat and paneer tikka masala perfectly balanced spices and beautiful presentation. The restaurant has a warm, inviting vibe, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. It’s refreshing to find a place that takes vegetarian and vegan food this seriously while keeping everything creative and full of flavor. Prices are fair for the quality and portions, and the space feels clean and comfortable. Whether you’re craving street-style snacks or a cozy Indian dinner, Sattva delivers every time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food in Aliso Viejo! 🌶️🍛 A special thanks to Mr.Tarun
Great food and amazing service! The (I think) owner was very nice and wanted to make sure everything was to our liking. Music choice was great too. Punjab Hip-hop was playing throughout and I was vibing along with some quite spicy, delicious food.
The chicken tikka masala was heavenly, the service was amazing, and the speed the food was served is utterly impressive. Absolutely will be returning
Delicious! Our favorite local Indian restaurant.
Honestly I hate sound cliche but probably the best Indian food I’ve had. Very nice staff and always willing to take care of you beyond expectation. We had the chicken and paneer masala and the garlic and regular paratha. Simple, tasty and clean. Good portions too!
Absolutely incredible food. I’ve eaten at Indian restaurants all around the world and this is in my top five. I must try.
12/21/24: Next visit I’m so glad I decided to come again. This time I got the chicken vindaloo and my mom got the chicken tikka masala. I had them make mine with chicken breast. The chicken breast was so tender and the best quality chicken. The dish was a bit spicy but I asked for yogurt and that helped make it mild. I tasted my mom’s dish too. It was full of flavor. I was so impressed with the quality of the food that I changed the rating of 3 to all 5’s. 🙂 The waiters were very attentive and extremely nice and pleasant as before. I’m definitely coming back again. Thank you, Sattva! 😋 This is the first time I’ve been to this restaurant. Indian cuisine is my favorite. I’ve tried pretty much all of the Indian restaurants in this area. But I was disappointed with my lunch special. I ordered the Dahl and chicken tikka masala. The Dahl was very bland. Although I liked the chicken tikka masala sauce, I didn’t like the quality of the chicken. But the servers were attentive and courteous. And the atmosphere outside was nice as well. Maybe I didn’t order the right dish. I might go back and try another dish because the reviews that I read recommended this restaurant. 1/8/25 I came to have dinner here and ordered the chicken biryani bc the waiter recommended it. It is soo good. 😌 It’s full of flavor and the chicken is moist and tender and a bit spicy. It’s absolutely perfect. I definitely recommend it especially if you’re biryani fan.
The best home cooked Indian food. Comforting and casual vibe. You can sit and watch them prepare all the delicious food. The masala is the best especially chicken and paneer. And the paratha was so good, I wanted more and more. Very generous portions especially for the price.

Our favorite Indian spot. Lamb Tikka masala is one of our norms. We come here about evey 2 months going back years (usually to go) because it's about 8 miles from our house. Currently here for a meal on my wife and I's 11 year anniversary and had a mango Lassi and chai tea to compliment my meal. Along, with the customary garlic Naan to complete our meal.
Me and my boyfriend are local to this spot and we always love coming here with friends. The food always hits. The chicken tikki masala, butter chicken, lamb korma, chicken biriyani, garlic naan was so good. It's definitely a spot to try with a bigger group of people so you can do family style dinner. We were a party of 7. Last time we were here, we didn't know we could try a sample of the curry to see how the spice level was for mild. They gave us a sample of a mild curry today so we could see how spicy it is. We really enjoyed the food and environment. Thank you ☺️
100/10 experience, I would strongly recommend this place for Indian food. Food tasted amazing, we ordered the gobi manchurian, pakoras, chole bhature, veg korma, madras chicken, and garlic naan. Everything tasted fresh and so good. The mint chutney with it is the cherry on the top. The service was very good, the server was extremely helpful and kind. If you’re looking for a good meal, and service 100% visit this restaurant.
Tried this restaurant since our usual go to spot has shut down. We had the Chicken Chettinad, Madras Chicken Curry and garlic naan. Everything was delicious. We did one dish mild and one dish mild plus to go a little spicier. I would stick to mild. We were very happy to find a local authentic Indian restaurant with our favorite dishes. There is so much to choose from. You go here for the food not the ambiance. The owner, Tarun and the staff are eager to please and explains the history of the dishes. They are very personable. They also have a restaurant in Laguna Niguel, Chaska. I will definitely be frequenting both restaurants. It’s super important to support our local small business.
One of my favorite places in all of SoCal. The paneer pakora as an appetizer, to the chicken or paneer tikka masala, to the amazing naan bread. The food hits a craving that no other Indian restaurant can beat. Might I add, during lunch, they have an amazing chicken burger that hits the spot, and is a cheaper way to meet your craving. It has a beautiful ambience - the outdoor is all lit up beautifully. And the staff is always kind and remembers our orders. It is also nice as the owner always personally welcomes visitors and cares about the experience. The food is made with heart and a lot of soul from India. It is one of my favorite places and I hope for everyone to have the chance to know about this hidden gem.
Great food, superb service, relaxed atmosphere! Came with family on a Saturday afternoon. Chef Babba was attentive to the details of what we needed, made great suggestions about items on the menu, and made us feel at home. The food tasted fresh, well seasoned, but not overly heavy or oily as some restaurants tend to make their dishes. Spice levels were discernible between mild, moderate, and spicy, and we felt they were all just right for their level. Everything was perfect, though we were most pleasantly surprised by the Andhra bone-in goat, Punjabi dal curry, and mango pudding. Having lived in Singapore for some years, I really missed a place like this: good food, no nonsense, just an all-round welcoming Indian place. Will most definitely come back.
We had dinner at Tali’s Indian Restaurant and everything we tried was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, full of flavor, and I love that they don’t use artificial coloring. Their packaging is eco-friendly (no plastic, all foil), and the service was great — friendly and quick. Prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Indian food!
Five years in California and I’ve finally found my go-to Indian spot. The chicken tikka masala + garlic naan were bursting with flavor, spice was perfect, and the service was warm and welcoming. Easily a 10/10.
The following review is my opinion based on my experience. I wanted to wait until I have eaten here a few times before I wrote a review. This is my fourth time eating at Sattva. I’m consistently greeted in a very friendly welcoming fashion. The waiter is always very friendly and welcoming. He is always quick to answer any questions and make suggestions if asked. I usually order the two item chicken/veggie lunch special. It is a large portion for one person but a light portion for two. The chicken curry is full of different flavors. It is tangy, savory and spicy all at the same time. It is on the spicier side which I enjoy. The lentils are also very good. You can taste the combination of all the spices with the nuttiness of the legume with a good amount of spice. Both the chicken curry and lentils are very good and taste as though they have been carefully cooked and stewed for a long period of time. The chicken tandoori is also good. Yummy little burnt crispy edges with succulent juicy meat on the inside. Very good with a little lime juice over the top. The naan is good, nothing special. The rice is good too, not much to it but when you add some of the gravy from both dishes it takes the naan and rice to a whole new level. Water is served cold but without ice. I could take it or leave it. The front doors are kept open for some reason and the air conditioning is not on. During the fall it’s no big deal but during the summer it is quite uncomfortable. If you find the heat uncomfortable some days might be uncomfortabl for you. Hence the tree stars. The prices are a bit high but it is an expensive area. Come give it a try. I recommend Zattva.
Best Indian food in OC! The spices and flavoring are on point every single time! Service is amazing too, Tarron was incredibly kind and helpful in ensuring we were happy with our order!
The goat biriyani was insanely good. The deliciousness directly hit my brain and caused goosebumps lol It was my second time but I got more addicted! The mango banana pudding was also such a masterpiece
Delicious. Curry was amazing with strong flavors. Staff were very kind, friendly, and genuinely wanted to know if we were enjoying the food. Highly recommend
Traveling with my partner and mother-in-law who are gluten free and also allergic to dairy we’re always looking for places that have a labeled menu or can give good options. The waiter helped us find a couple of great options (goat curry, Chana masala, and mint chicken) which were great!

Naan was good but could have had a little more flavor/salt. Korma is good and respectable, as well as the butter chicken Good flavorful biryani, a little spice/kick to it but not overpowering. Would recommend if you're in the area. The outdoor seating is especially nice.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am. I ordered the egg biryani, garlic Naan, and raita. The 2 stars are for the Naan and raita. I feel like if these folks' parents tasted how FLAVORLESS this egg biryani is, they'd drop-kick those cooks. I mean...I have never tasted Indian food so bland. Yes, it had the fennel, the cardamom, the cloves, etc...But not a LICK of salt. The only piece that had a hint of flavor was the boiled egg, but that was because it was slathered with what I'm guessing a ginger/garlic/tomato paste, but even the egg (inside) was flavorless/saltless. Smh. I was coming to pick up my lunch from work, and I literally am just sad. They gave a good helping and were nice, but Idk...maybe they got used to their usual clienteles' taste buds, because this is located in a "wealthier" part of town and maybe they told them the food was too spicy or salty. Smh. I also ordered "medium" for spice and, honestly, Louisiana Hot Sauce is spicier than this dish. I'm honestly just...shocked. I never in my life thought I'd EVER taste bland Indian food! I'm new to the area, so I'm learning that the high-tanking stars aren't necessarily the truth. :/
As someone who genuinely loves Indian food and considers it my favorite cuisine, this was a huge disappointment. The biryani was clearly not fresh and I don’t mean “maybe made earlier in the day,” I mean obviously old. The rice was dry, lifeless, and tasted like it had been sitting around far too long. Biryani should be fragrant and rich. This was the exact opposite. The quality of the meat and the marinade was honestly terrible. It complete letdown.
