Fast friendly service

I was a apassanger this visit. I didn't go in or buy this trip. The food they bought sure did smell good and spicy. They didn't have to wait but a short time to be served. We were on our way in about ten minutes. They're known for getting you in and out in a timely manner.

This is my go to place for a quick, hot meal. The Chicken is seasoned nicely the sides were hot, and the cold sides were fresh. I love this place. But, check for small pieces n some batches.

I could eat fried chicken every day and Popeye's has some of the best. I can't really eat the sides cause they tend to be too hot...but the mac and cheese and green beans are usually pretty good if fresh. Workers can be very helpful and friendly or crabby and rude. I think the manager has a lot to do with that and how they run the team.

Stopped for quick bites and ended up spending more time to rest, relax before continuing cross country road trip. Place very clean, very friendly and attractive. You would gas up too. The coffee machine was very nice.

This Popeyes is awesome! It's the best one in Athens honestly. I live close to the Popeyes off of 29 but I barely go to that one. This Popeyes customer service is quick, efficient, & pleasant. Even when there is a long line, the crew members & manager make sure the chicken is hot & good!

The food was great and the service was beyond great. This restaurant has some good people working in there at the 2pm hour that we went on yesterday.

Restaurant is always neat and clean, on the inside and the outside. Employees look neat and tidy. Food is always hot and fresh. The drive through, is never backed up, for huge amounts of time; like other restaurants ( McDonald's). I love both locations in Athens, G.a.

Had absolutely fantastic customer service from Ana. She was friendly, and fast, and just all around pleasant. That's not very common these days. Keep up the great work!

I always love Popeyes, but today was extra... It was super crowded so I almost left... But they kept the line moving and my chicken sandwich was probably the best piece of chicken I ever ate! It was so light and crispy, it was beyond belief.

Food is always good and the staff are always nice! They don't give you a headache about using coupons like the one on Atlanta Hwy does. This one is further from my house but it's worth it to not deal with the bad customer service at the one that's closer.

This was the best experience my fiancé and I have ever had at any Popeyes! The food was incredible, they didn’t forget any of the sauces, sides, or extra condiments. The shrimp were insanely hot and fresh. The chicken sandwiches were delicious. Fries were seasoned, the rice and beans were amazing. The food rocked and the workers were happy, friendly and beyond welcoming. We are from out of town and here on business. Can’t wait to be back.

I am currently at the location waiting for an Uber Eats pickup. It is EXTREMELY busy with the lunch rush and Ghost Pepper Wing craze. Even during this rush, EVERY employee has a smile on their face and they are all being very kind and attentive. I visit a lot of different restaurants in the Athens area, and I have always had good a good experience at Prince Ave. Popeyes. Keep up the good work yall!

Why don't they give you utensils? Why is it necessary to remind them? When I take for granted I don't have to remind them, leave the drive thru, park to eat and find nothing to eat my mashed potatoes with!! That's why I'm only giving 1 star for service.

Used the drive-thru last night for the ghost pepper sandwich combo, and everything went well. Food was good and accurate, and the staff was decent. I was glad the lady told me the straw was in the bag. I've heard the customer service stinks, so I guess I got lucky, haha...

I've only ate there once,but I had a good experience the employees were nice,not many people in ,the food I got was good,good slaw and biscuits. I do like the biscuits. In general one may have a good experience one day and the next something is wrong. That's just life. I've worked in restaurants before and it do get overwhelming. Just remember they are people too we all just human and flawed. So be patient they really do try hard to get orders out. Sell no food nobody makes money.

The food was ok..the nuggets were just to greasy today. The lady behind counter was just not nice at all...your in a job of service to public..if you don't like dealing with people change jobs. The place is usually awesome...just had a bad experience that day

Requested ALL chicken to be hot (right out of the grease) when ordering. Was told that my request was honored when chicken was provided. Immediately ate the chicken onsite but only one of the three pieces was piping hot. The "4" rating was due to the ordered Chicken Sandwich was hot and delicious (plus the cashier was VERY NICE)!

My neighbor wanted to go there for lunch, so we went there. The chicken there very crispy, I've yet to get my lower denture so I asked if they had anything tender enough for me to eat the lady told me there chicken tenders were. So I bought them and found out that they were too hard for, I know there are alot of people that like food real hot and spicy I'm not one of them,nevertheless they make good food.

Popeyes always has good food. The customer service at this store is atrocious, though. They need to either hire people with less attitude or train them to keep those attitudes in check. Especially at the front counter. No smile, no greeting, look at you like you're crazy if you ask a question or for some doggone hot sauce. Smh. Customer service matters. Good food + terrible customer service = 2 Stars.

The 2 or 3piece wing special has a good price at this location on Prince Ave...I like the customer service, this location is better food taste than the others in Athens. I never give 5 stars to leave room for improvements

When going for Fast Food chicken, I always prefer Popeye's above it's competitors. This time was no different however, the customer service was truly lacking. The young lady ( and I use that term lightly) that served the drive-thru was rude, had a poor attitude, and lacked people skills. Good thing the chicken is good! :)

The chicken was hot.The staff is friendly. The restaurant itself had a few dirty tables. It's important to me the restaurant I dine in or takeout is clean and sanitized. I understand places get busy and a customer may leave a table without them noticing. This wasn't the case.

What can I say, it's a Popeyes, an older one at that, but it's pretty good most times. I will say the chicken has some pieces that were dried up and hard this time and that hasn't ever happened before. Some were great and some were inedible. They were out of apple pies but offered strawberry and cream instead. They were actually good. I've never had that version before.

This location generally has a fairly long drive thru line, so it's not super quick, but the food has always been consistent and good at this location. Anytime I've had a small issue I just submitted through the app and their corporate is super responsive and customer focused. And if you've never tried it, their spicy chicken sandwich is one of the best fast food chicken sandwiches.

The food was very hot tasted fresh, in my opinion was very good. Now for th bad, the floors and counter under the soft drinks were Filthy! They weren't even busy. And the person who took our order was not nice. They gave us one sauce for a big shrimp order I asked for one more she said 27 cents I politely told her that wasn't happening! Get past the floors and counter and the employee and it's good!! Gave 4 stars because of the food!!

The flavor of the chicken was different. I can't put my finger on it. The person at the window also acted like she could not understand simple English. When you repeat yourself several times, it stands to reason the person heard and understood what you said.

Chicken is great l, service is mid and prices are OUTRAGEOUS! $10 for 5 blackened tenders is crazy work!!! No sides not even a biscuit😏

Not bad, not good, just kinda meh. The chicken was thin, the red beans and rice was more like refried beans and totally forgotten.

My first try at Popeyes. We ordered the 10 piece meal and the ghost peppers wings. It was yummy. What it could do is make the fried chicken more with flavours. And as a side dish the coleslaw matches it.

I just wish people would learn how to treat a customer.. I mean what's the point of being rude to a paying customer? Especially one whose being super nice to you! I don't understand why people who don't like other people, get a job in customer service

Drive-Thru line was too long, so we went inside to just as long a line. My mom enjoyed her food at least. *Receipt has been showing extra surcharges for things that should be included with your combo like drink and sauces...so they need to fix that.

I ordered three 2 PC chicken meals one dark and two white meat. Got all the way home and I had 2 dark meats. The problem is I DON'T eat dark meat. I live all the way on the east side close to the Walmart. The manager told me to bring food with receipt which I couldn't find, so he said to bring chicken back and they would replace it. He did replace it but the point is I had to drive all the way back across town. This isn't the first time either. People make sure to check your orders before you leave these restaurants...

The Prince Ave location is the best as far as food but in the last two years the quality has gone down a lot. My chicken tenders are barely cooked every time. Food lacks seasoning, especially the dirt rice and red beans. Yall are so focused on getting people out of line that you have totally dropped the ball on quality. People don't mind waiting for got fully cooked food at all. But to wait and the food be trash 🗑 is totally unacceptable. And you need to clean and make sure soda machines are in good condition cause yall drinks are nasty as hell! Soda is to have a kick in it, not a flat tire! Sheesh

Chicken sandwich...the patty is HALF the size that it was last year. HUGE delicious sandwich a year ago...put chicken fila sandwich to shame. The fish sandwich...OVER cooked. Top it off...girl at register barely acknowledged us. Disappointed is an understatement.

I tried the chicken sandwich that a lot of people have been comparing to the Chick-fil-A sandwich but it doesn’t even come close in my opinion so I won’t be doing that again. I will definitely visit Chick-fil-A for my next chicken sandwich!

New restaurant and the manager (black lady) is rude not professional. Something is always wrong with your order. Missing something, dry chicken, old fries or no honey it's always something plus the biscuits are drier than normally they don't add butter and out of honey! I drive to Athens and I live right down the street from this location. Please go to the Athens (prince street) location and I promise you will never go to them again.

I ordered number 5 wing combo, with water instead of drink she said it was the same price reguardless, I asked for barbecue sauce at the drive through with my order, get to the window I asked for napkins, honey, ketchup. I leave I have no barbecue sauce, I leave where I was to go get the barbecue sauce, they say it is .31 because I got whole wings, it's not like Popeyes is new, I know, this is all that I order any time I order, she did not put it in the bag causing me an extra trip, I do not eat there chicken with out the barbecue sauce, ok got that squared away, look in my bag for ketchup and all I have is hot sauce, so I should have put a 1 but the food was good, but the lil girl at the window need to make sure she put in what the customer requests, not what she wants them to have. I did not have time to run back up there, but who eats fries without ketchup? Don't worry I will wait... a lot of people may do, but I don't. Simple

Sat in drive-thru for nearly 30 minutes. Ordered 2 spicy chicken sandwiches. 1 hardly had any spicy sauce on it. The other had no spicy sauce and was buried in mayonnaise.

Price for what you are getting is rather high. Bathrooms were a mess, store unclean. Could hardly understand what the cashier was saying. Dessert was great though and the tea was fresh. $9 for a hand full of shrimp and half a piece of fish was too much. Won't be returning.

This location was the first location I visited and the chicken wasn't crispy and good. The crust was withered and the sandwich tasted funny. I was very disappointed because there are so many other restaurants in the area I could have chosen but my mind was set on a Popeyes classic chicken sandwich and fries. The drive-thru was very long. After I got to the window and paid, I was told to pull up and wait. I waited almost 10-15 more minutes. Meanwhile, all the cars behind me drove to the window, got their food and left. The only positive was that my food was hot-ish...

I'm not happy with the last few orders I've purchased. I've decided that the chicken isn't improving its going down hill. I have to think it's who doing the cooking and if they truly care.

I generally don't do negative reviews but, hopefully, this will inspire someone to step up their game in the future, so, here it goes.I had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with a side of Red Beans and Rice. The chicken sandwich was very greasy and I could hardly call it "spicy." I really don't see what all the fuss was over, even Wendy's has a better chicken sandwich and it's not even in the ballpark with Chick-fil-A. The beans in the beans and rice were just mush but, at least, they were hot. The dining area was almost empty and I had a bit of difficulty finding a table that had been wiped down. I sat at the far side of the dining room and could still easily hear the staff complaining about the hours they were working, about other staff members getting days off or vacations, and even dropping the "F bomb" a few times. Not something I really felt like hearing after a lovely morning at church. Overall a very disappointing experience and from now on, I think I will find another spot for a quick lunch.

It was okay. Man if I could rate the bathroom by itself, I'd give it a zero. Very dirty bathroom. I didn't even use it. I just held it in until we made it to our destination. I do not feel as though the employees were professional, a little too comfortable with the customers instead of having a little professionalism. You could hear the conversation between the staff from the dining area. My mate wanted to get some tenders to-go. The guy in the back was running his mouth so much that he didn't even realize that he gave my mate chicken pieces instead of tenders. The cashier said "sir I'm gonna check yo order, I betcha he didn't do right!" And guess what, it was wrong. Either he has a habit of messing up orders or he was too busy talking and she knew it smh. I do not see myself coming back to this Popeyes while visiting Athens!!!

I ordered for pick up and they left out my 6pc chicken wings and the Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich I got wasn’t crispy there was barely any in there and the chicken inside was very tough it was overall really soggy, but the chicken tenders were fine.

I ordered a #2 with bacon and cheese. Everything was great except it didn’t come with pickles, so I went to the counter to ask for some. One employee told me they don’t sell pickles, while another mentioned I should have requested them when ordering. The second employee was kind and helpful, but the first seemed uninterested in assisting. This was my first visit to this location, and unfortunately, it left me disappointed.

Some of the most rude people I ever met in my life. Messed up my order and said I’d have to drive all the way back that day in order to get a refund. I asked if I could.come the next day and the answer was no and I was hung up on.

Recommend eating this chicken in evening, anything earlier seems like yesterday old chicken. The prices are to high for old chicken.

As a grubhub driver we should be allowed to go thru if we feel like you can not adequately provide enough protection and social distance to protect ourselves from cornavirus I gladly was the third driver to cancel your customer order you really should make some improvements.

My chicken was warm and fatty. Disgusting and the service was terrible. Im used to fresh non fatty chicken and I will never go back to the location ever again and 1 of the chicken legs were brown smh. Gross.

I only DoorDash this restaurant, but more often than not, my Dasher says it doesn’t look open. It makes absolutely no sense why they’re still allowed on the app. I even called to check if they’re open, someone answers, says “yes” to being and hangs up on me! Terrible customer service.

The Popeye's on Prince Ave in Athens Georgia must be stilling money because when I ask the lady at the drive through window why was my ghost pepper wings 5 piece $11.50 she got very nasty all I asked was why was it $8 something a couple days before and today its $11.50 for 5 small ghost pepper wings combo with one pepper and I got this same combo in Atlanta for $9 dollars even with out the pepper and then the manager wants to come to the window and talk to me like I'm his child because I'm asking why was my ghost pepper wings combo $1150. When I know it was wrong I pulled off because Popeye's are not the only one selling chicken

I can't believe there are good reviews about this place. I've been here twice and both times the people have been so rude. The first time my boyfriend and I ordered two drinks and we reminded the cashier and she said no you guys only get one drink because thats what you ordered. The second time was over the same thing but at the drive through. I get it can be difficult working with food but if you are so rude as to tell a customer no you are not getting a drink and then constantly put us on mute at the drive through you shouldn't be working there. Not to mention the attitude we got both times! I've never had this kind of customer service any where especially at a Popeye's. I used to love it but I think I'll just stick to bojangles and chik-fi-la. I'm not someone who gives bad reviews because its fun. So don't think I'm just doing it to be doing it. These women who served us were terrible. I'll never eat at this Popeye's again. Possibly won't even eat at Popeye's again.

The employees don't listen or pay attention. They don't care about anything and most look like they are stoned or something. Nothing was right on our order. Didn't bother to go back because it would have been a waste of time

Ordered mobile pickup, came to get my food, was told the lobby is closed and I can’t go inside and I have to go into the drive thru. I go wait in the drive thru and somebody after me tries going in and she is allowed to get in and pick up her food order, at this point my food has been waiting for 20 minutes and by the time I get to the drive thru I am told to wait aside and I received my food COLD. 40 minutes have passed, employee gave me my food, no apology for the wait, nothing about the food being cold. Will not come back to this one again.

OMG These people are so rude and act like you annoy them. They all look like they hate their job. Cashiers have a serious attitude problem. No one smiles! She got annoyed when I asked about sauses. I received buffalo sauce for my shrimp box last time. I also found dust, dirt, and a small piece of paper in my drink like my cup had been rolling on the floor prior to them filling it up. I'm glad I had clear soda so I saw it through the lid. I brought it to a cashier's attention and all ahe said was "dam sure is". The building is all wrong trying to get in from the parking lot. Only enough space for ONE person to be going in or coming out. You must wait until the door is closed so you can go around it to open it. Water is always running g through the parking lot and you have to walk through drive through cars to get inside.

Don’t eat here. How is this place even open no way it could pass a health inspection 🤣

The service I received the past night was awful, and not typical of what I expect from Popeyes. I approached the store 30 minutes before the drive thru closed hoping to grab a quick bite before I drove home that night. I sat at the speaker for 5 minutes, with no reply from inside, leaving me to wonder if everything was working properly. Turns out, there were still people inside and though they close the drive thru in 25 minutes from that point, the employee working got upset and replied that they were closed. Well Popeyes on Prince Ave, all future business between me and you, as well as my wallet, is closed to you.

This Popeyes has rude workers especially the one that was at the counter today. She was white or Mexican couldn’t tell. Don’t know what she is doing ask about the specials for that day she look at me like I’m dumb and didn’t even know what to say. Also flies all over the place just nasty. Had to wait 45 minutes to get food

I called ahead two hours to place an order for a 20 piece box.. Phone contact took my order and name. I showed up exactly on time. I explained my order, paid, and waited 17 minutes. After 15 minutes, I approached the person who took my order, and she didn't acknowledge my presence. Four folks were served who walked in after me. When my order was completed, the server plopped it on the counter and didn't respond when I asked if this was for me. No eye contact, no apology. Sincerely rude.

Waiting in Drive Thru for 35 minutes before the car moved up a space. Inside had only two customers waiting and that’s because their orders were incorrect from the drive thru line. ( I had someone wait inside to see which line would go faster.) We ended up leaving after you told us you were out of gravy. You were already out of rice and beans, the fries, spicy etc. But no gravy with those biscuits?! Do better. This was at 4:50 on a Saturday afternoon.

There did not appear to be any heat on in the place. I attempted to sit down and eat and the frigid air inside the restaurant caused me to cough. Also, the windows in the restaurant were frosting up. I think it is rude to not have warm enough heat for customers that are sitting down to eat at Popeyes. Hopefully a different Popeyes will have better heat.

Horrible. The food wasn't fresh. The drive thru takes forever. They mess up your orders. I am new the state and this by far has been the worse service I've recieved. I will not spend my coins here. I rather drive to another Popeyes in another town. The attitudes there are not welcoming

Ordered delivery several times has only been accurate once and when I go in person they straight up lie and told us they check our food and we got a completely different order. Do not order these guys online if u value ur money

Sat outside for 30 minutes today. And yhey still aren't open. Multiple persons came and went upset. I asked a young lady that was walking in to work are they supposed to open at 10. She said yes....it's 1030 and I'm leaving. Came to get food for my sick brother at the hospital 😡disappointed

The young lady in the drive-through that took my order and handed me my order rushed me and was rude. When I asked for hot sauce and honey, she had to check my ticket just to see what I ordered. Fast food is high on customer service and if you have somebody in your window with a bad attitude, they can ruin a persons entire evening. You guys need to do something about this.

The red or pink haired girl running the cashier needs some serious training and therapy … she did not give us the order at least 3 times and then proceeded to get annoyed at us for showing her our order. Then she yelled at us for opening our food when it was a “doordash” order when it wasn’t… like how you gonna tell me not to check my own food when you got it wrong THREE TIMES. They still gave us the wrong food even though they told us to pull up front. The last worker that gave us our food apologized to us, which props to him for having manners.

I've been here more times than I can count, but I won't be back. The cashier was a lot more concerned telling a coworker about her boyfriend than any sort of customer service. When she finally had my order ready she had it so far in the window that I had to reach inside the building to get it. She got an attitude saying I snatched it and started cussing towards me. Never going back.

The unattractive older woman with the Afro that was working the drive thru tonight was very rude. She was quick to tell me what they didn’t have as far as entrees but was unwilling to elaborate when I asked specifically about sides. What a horrible experience. Why is she in customer service and why is she assigned to work the mic. Just rude and NASTY looking.

They like to hand you you wet wings sideways in the box so everything leaks into the bag and then hand up on you when you call to submit a legitimate complaint. Also not friendly to normal customers.

I ate here for lunch today and had the popcorn shrimp combo. It tasted okay, but was the shrimp was a bit oily and the fries were just soggy with oil. I ate all of the shrimp and I ate about 4 four fries and that was all I could stand. I was sick within two hours and have been back and forth to the toilet for 6+ hours already and I'm still going. I think I got food poisoning. The staff is friendly and reasonably fast, but the restrooms in this establishment are disgusting and there weren't even any paper towels.

I occasionally enjoy a Popeye's spicy chicken sandwich and this is the closest location. Unfortunately, it has the worst service and execution of actually making the food of any Popeye's that I have ever visited. I have been there 3 times and two of those sucked. The reason for this review was last week's visit when they prepared the spicy chicken sandwich (which comes with sort of a spicy mayo/remolade sauce) with just enough sauce to say that there was some, but with about 3/4 of the sandwich dry. Fortunately, I was the only customer inside, so I went to the counter and asked for more sauce and was told that I couldn't have any more, and should order "extra" next time. I offered the sandwich for them to add more and she refused again. Honestly I don't know if it is severe laziness, horrible attitude, or an attempt to get people to pay extra for what they should get in the first place, but either way, they probably won't get a chance to disappoint me again. If you want fast food on Prince Ave, I'd recommend the Wendy's right down the street. If you are in the mood for Popeyes, skip this one and go to the one near Walmart on Atlanta highway.

I got a five piece chicken, tender combo, and they gave me one tender and three nuggets. If I could give them zero stars I would and I got no refund.

We do Uber eats and this is the second weekend in the roll the refuse to do Uber orders.

Went through the drive thru, needed a moment to figure out what I needed to order, orders a 5pc and 3pc, #5 combo meal, one with 2 extra BBQ and the other with extra honey mustard. The lady taking my order had been okay with professionalism while taking the order, save for a tone of impatience, but hey I get it, I work in fast food too. When we got up to the window, i was not greeted, instead I had to say hello TWICE before I even got a half hearted hi. We were given our drinks, I asked for straws and got ignored (later found in the bag, but no communication indicated that they would be there). We get our food and we were missing our extra sauces. The lady at the window argued with me that I had only asked for extra honey mustard sauce, which wasn't the case, as we had a short conversation about the BBQ less than 10mins prior. I offered to pay for extra sauce if needed, she proceeded to curse the words "God damn" under her breath, huffing and puffing, and rudely handed my sauces to me. I'm truly not one to get upset over issues and matters like these, but the level of unprofessionalism was just astonishing. Especially working in fast food myself. I truly hope she was just having a bad day, and this isn't normal for her. I wish her the best, but she needs to be taught not to take her frustrations out on the people who buy the food that pay for her for her "work". Also, the fries were old, chicken was soggy, and biscuits were hard. Just not good experience all around. 😕

if i could give zero stars for service, i would. i placed an order and picked it up at the drive-thru. the girl working didn’t say a single word to greet me, i just told her my name. she brought out the bag and then immediately shut the window. i get back to my place and every single side item i ordered was replaced with macaroni? even the side i paid extra for? additionally, i paid for 12 wings & received 11. AND ON TOP OF THAT, not a SINGLE sauce in my bag when there should’ve been three. idc if it’s “fast food”, train your workers and educate them to be polite people and actually do their jobs; if there was something that they ran out of, communicate that to me instead of letting me leave with my items only to realize when i’m home that you screwed up or completely just didn’t want to do your job correctly.

After making a purchase at your location on Sunday, February 15, 2026, around 5:00 PM, I later discovered over $1,000 in unauthorized pending transactions on my account. This has raised serious concerns that someone may be obtaining customers’ card information. Although my bank is currently working to recover the funds, I have filed police reports regarding this matter and intend to press charges. I am requesting that this situation be investigated immediately to prevent this from happening to other customers.

I stop by Popeyes to ask about the chicken special!! Now the respect when it comes to customer service is ridiculous! Attitudes start right off then from cashier!! Please train this young generation with some skills to treat their customer!! It is sad! We don’t know how to act!! This will keep your rating low with unprofessional children!!!
