We just love Will and everyone here. The food is outrageously wonderful. The service is great. I am in a wheelchair and this is handicapped accessible. Strongly suggest you to take the time to go here, you will definitely not be sorry.

This is a fantastic sub shop and deli! I came in and ordered a fried bologna sub and added on some soppressata salmi, which i highly recommend trying. Will grilled it up for me and took the time to really make sure everything was perfect. The sub was delicious, however, the one thing I would like to recommend is adding Uncle Ralph’s Magic Sauce on top. Also, recommend you start carrying a stock of Uncle Ralph’s for the people to purchase. You won’t regret it!

What a great lunch spot! The shaved steak sandwich is to die for. Thought we'd try out the Park Ave location and was just as delish as their Gates store without the gourmet grocery. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

I get 1-2 subs a week here. They are consistently great. Even dibellas subs taste like a gas station sub compared to calabresella's. Deli salads, coffee, baked goods are all great too. Friendly staff, clean store.

Best subs in town bar none. They're so big you can barely bite into it you literally have to eat it in sections lol....Plus the staff is the nicest group of people I've ever meet in my life no exaggeration and thats because they understand how a business should be run. I had a 12 sub order a half hour before they closed and they took the order no problem and they did it with a smile AND THEN THANKED ME!!! for the business. If that was any other sub shop in Rochester they would have been miserable af or turned me down, I've dealt with it before, trust me on this place, GO HERE!!! Stopped in just shy of closing time. Young man working welcomed me w open arms. Did not rush me, made me the best Philly Cheesecake on the planet. 2 fellas outside enjoying the weather and this employee refreshed their coffees without them asking. This is what we are missing in our culture today. I miss it. Glad I found some love today at Calabresella.

Was visiting town with fiancé and dropped in whilst searching for a light breakfast snack. The fellow at the front recommended the 8 inch breakfast sub, which I got. It was a bit heftier of a meal than I was initially looking for, but it was, without question, the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. This was not a casually slapped-together ‘wich; the egg, cheese, and bacon was mixed together into a seamless whole. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a step up from from your regular breakfast sandwich!

Kind owner, delicious sub, will definitely return. You must try the red osier roast beef sandwich and the little candies at the register. Everyone is really thoughtful. You gotta try it!

Their large subs can easily feed two people and are practically overloaded with meat, but they still use high-quality ingredients and their sub rolls are substantial and delicious to match. They also have a great selection of Local, Italian, and classic NY Deli specialties (Sauces, imported tomatoes, Spiedie Chips!) and tons of baked goods or desert options. They do a great job of following the current COVID Guidelines and I haven't seen any change in quality since it has started. This is one of the most welcoming businesses I've been to in Roc and it's obvious every person behind the counter puts a lot of care into what they do. They are proud of the product they put out and will make sure you are happy. All of this at a price of ~$11 a sub, it's such an amazing value and we're lucky to have them here!

This guy just made me the best Royale sub I've ever had. Recommend the sharp provolone, and LTO on it. Coming from Buffalo I never thought a Rochester place could do the Royal sub justice. But here they definitely do. I wish I knew your name, sub-master. You're excited to make your food and it shows in the end result. You even cut off an end piece so you could see me enjoy your work on a to go order. That's a step above. Thank you, from the bottom of my heartburn. Brava.

Best pasta salad I've ever had! So far I've only tried the Dominator sub and LOVED IT! I'm extremely excited to try the rest soon.

So many delicious sounding options! I wanted to buy one of everything when I got to the store to pickup my online order. Their sandwiches are fantastic (and built well!!) so I fully intend on coming back. Hopefully next time I can get some bakery goodies or something!

Guy working the counter was kind of rude and unwelcoming, but then again it’s New York and I made him repeat himself, I probably had it coming. Meatball sub was good, just not great. Place was empty but clean and nice vibe. Somewhere between 4 and 5 stars probably closer to 4 but I’m gonna round up like my teachers did

Been looking for a legit NY sub around here and this checked every box. Soft roll, love the Italian cold cut choices. Not a fan of Dibellas and Wegmans. The hard roll and skewed ratios are not appetizing. Calabresellas does a sub right. Perfect ratios. Soft roll. Perfectly dressed. So glad I found this place.

Had a few questions on the menu and the staff was great! Got the shaved steak sammy and it was amazing! Roll was the same! Didn’t disappoint. Other order was an Italian sammy “custom” and he loved it.

We stopped in on a Sunday to get some lunch. The chef came out personally to deliver the food to our table. I got the shredded steak sub, and my fiancé had a custom veggie sub. Hands down best sub experience I've had in Rochester. Dibellas, Subway, Jersey Mikes dont even come close to the quality and price you get here. The bread was perfect, and the chef piled so much steak on the sub, I needed to eat the second half later for dinner. Plus, they have pastries and cake available too.

Haven’t been here in years because I moved to Florida. Walked in and was helped immediately. Very great conversation, colon kicker was on point, (just like how I remember) and the cannolis are always delicious.

Got some subs. First time there but have wanted to go for years. Will (owner?) was awesome at making subs along with his staff. He gave me a challenge of ordering the Roast beef with extra extra meat next time. I'm going to do it! He said he'd name the sandwich after me. Haha. I'm already thinking of names... Great place, highly recommend. Great subs and atmosphere.

I was visiting Rochester again on business and was in the mood for a great sandwich or hoagie (Philly boy talking here) so I stopped in for my first time. I asked the guy behind the counter what he recommended and he said their Steak Sandwiches were very popular and good. Told him I was from Philly and was very picky when it comes to a cheesesteak because you have to have the Conshohocken roll or else it's not really a cheesesteak. He and the owner who was also working behind the counter snickered and pointed out the daily specials on the black board. I chose the large Pastrami Reuben. The owner made the sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! The owner and the other guy behind the counter were awesome as is this fantastic Deli. What a great experience. The food is good, the helpings are enormous and the coffee is not weak. Best of all the service is terrific. They listen, they chat and they have a great sense of humor. And yes, it's clean everywhere. Lastly, instead of using plastic for your take home they provide tin foil.

Haven't even finished my meal and I'm writing this. Tommy Gun hot sub - so delicious. Cheesey Eddy cookie sandwich (Jane doe-light) is so good and I'm not one who generally gravitates towards sweets.

Decided to try them yesterday for the first time because I NEEDED a sub and Rubino's was closed at 2pm. Placed a takeout order 30 minutes before they closed (usually restaurants hate this). The owner personally prepared both of our subs as if he were making them for his best friends--jam packed and weighing in at a few pounds each. He took the time to talk with myself and other customers, again as if we were his best friends. The whole time, making sure we knew how appreciative and happy he was to have our business. Subs were excellent and we'll be going back soon.

Usually my go to sub shop, but we decided to try breakfast this time and it was great! Hearty portions and still excellent service and selection!

Love this place ... fell in love with the original on Buffalo Rd. 13 years ago when my job brought me to Gates ... love having an amazing sub closer to home now that I work on the East side ... the service and staff couldn't be nicer ... and the Subs are epic ... the bread is unreal, my favorite is to build my own Prosciutto sub ... the meat and toppings are fresh, and the variety of offerings is stellar .. if you LOVE an amazing deli fresh sub ... you have to try Calabresella's! Oh, and a side note, they have on-site/off-street parking ... rarely found on Park Ave!

We have been here 2x. Both times were a hit. Majorly good stuff. (My wife also said to let the world know they have some of the best fried bologna ever!) Everything is made fresh and to order. The guys behind the counter are great and helpful if you have questions. They have breakfast sandwiches and subs. You will not find a better deal on Park Ave.

Amazing! Found this place by happenstance. Stopped by for a sandwich and a refreshing beverage and was not disappointed. I got the Small Turkey Sub with a side of pasta salad and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Definitely will come back again!

Starting with the basics...The store/restaurant is bright and clean, with plenty of indoor seating, and some outdoor tables as well. The parking lot is large, has plenty of spaces, and is easily accessible from both Park ave, and Goodman street. There is a wide variety on the sandwich and salad menus to choose from, as well as sides, numerous desserts, jarred sauces, chips, bottled sodas, loaves of fresh bread, and some frozen items too. My go to is the meatball sub. Great meatballs, good red sauce that is not a salt bomb, and melted cheese on toasted fresh roll. I'm a pretty big guy and the large sub is easily two meals. They don't skimp on the meatballs! The french fries are cooked in a deep pan on the stove top burner, which means better temperature control, and oil that has not been sitting unchanged in a fryer for weeks like some other places I've tried. The staff are always friendly, accommodating, and Iv'e seen the same people working there for many years, which usually means they are treated well. It's a real positive to see the same faces behind the counter and in the kitchen who remember you, and greet you with appreciation. Those who have been there already know Calabresella's quality, but if you haven't tried them yet, you won't be disappointed.

I just moved to Roc and tried Calabresella's for the first time this afternoon. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch. To say I'm impressed is an understatement! It was the perfect temperature, filled to the brim, with just the right ratio of cheese/ranch so it was moist enough, and the bread was perfectly toasted. This sub exceeded my expectations and it may just be the best CBR I've ever had. I will definitely be returning!

This is my favorite sub place hands down. I have been here many times. I’ve had turkey, roast beef, and Rueben among others. First the staff are a bunch of good hard working people it just pours out of them. The subs are great they have much more meat than you’d get from other places who weigh out each sub. The rolls are soft and yeasty which I love. Today my wife and I came and we split a large sub. I have finished a large by myself but splitting it is plenty. Today we got the roast beef special and they split it to two plates and even adjusted the toppings we wanted on each half for us. My wife doesn’t like pickles or banana peppers in her subs and I do! As always it was awesome. This place just covers everything you want in a sub place. It’s #1 in Rochester for us.

After a morning of hiking when my husband and I were visiting our friend, she brought us here for sandwiches and they hit the spot. My favorite was the Italian we got. My husband and I got two sandwiches expecting to split them for lunch, but they are huge. It was plenty of food for the the entire day.

Went walking with my wife and found this great little place. I had the Italian stallion sandwich, it has meatballs and Italian sausage, the food was excellent and the service was superb, the staff there talked to me like we were old friends. My only small gripe was that there wasn't any AC or fans on this very hot day . But overall this was a fantastic expirence!

Pastrami Reuben is excellent! The large will fill you up for the entire day as it’s huge. My only regret is that I didn’t ask for my roll to be toasted - my bad.

Knowledgeable staff who made sure to understand what you ordered is what you want. Great food for the price

This was the perfect spot to stop and get some lunch before doing some shopping on Park Ave. They have a large selection of sandwiches. The staff was warm and friendly. Would recommend getting bottled water in the cooler as the sugary drinks are not great for folks who are trying to avoid sugar. The sandwich was good. I think they meant to toast the bread but they ended up burning it and it smelled and tasted burnt which is just a flavor we don't like. Would just suggest toasting the bread lightly and try not to burn it 🙂 other than that it was fabulous.

Went today (Saturday) at around 5pm. After placing our orders, a mini turkey sub and a hot pastrami sandwich, we waited for about 15-20 minutes for our sandwiches to be brought out. It wasn't necessarily the quickest turnaround for an order but the food was delicious! My partner said his hot pastrami sandwich was more like a test of willpower than a meal 😆

My first sandwich was called the Royale (8inch) which they said was small but idk how 8 inches is small. 🫣🤣 However, it was delicious. This place is definitely one of my new favorite “sandwich” spot in Rochester. Glad took a chance on my curiosity.

The sub bread was thick and bready which made it feel more like a homemade sandwich than a sub shop sandwich. Quality of the meat was good and service was friendly. Would try other menu items and come back.

First time here today. Such a long wait for two subs and over priced for a basic cold sub. It was super hot inside because of all the windows and sun shining right in, they unfortunately messed up my order but were prompt about fixing it. My boyfriend really enjoyed the meatball sub. Props to them for starting a sub shop with dibellas right down the road.

Messed up order and, while manager was friendly/apologetic, the first employee I spoke with was surly and rude. Additionally, they use iceberg lettuce and their pasta salad contains fake-looking yellow cheese 🤮🤮 Not up to Park Avenue standards.

This is definitely not the family owned original off of buffalo road we have all known and grown to love. Pastrami was excessively dry and the bread was not very fresh for being the beginning of the day. The staff aren't the most pleasant and not anywhere near as inviting as they are at their original shop. I happen to drive by this location.Thought I would get the same type of sandwich and service as I've known.This just was not the case today. Ill stick to their original location

First time checking this spot out. Decided to try something out of my ordinary for lunch. Ordered a small turkey club sub with the fixings. Sub alone cost about $16 and change. Ordered the sub to go, and waited maybe 15 minutes or so for the sub to be made. The sandwich itself was pretty good and flavorful. The bread to me looked really good and also had good flavor but was a bit chewy for my liking. Overall because the flavor was there I will try again.

Food is good, the guys working the counter though are the reason to not come back. Much more interested in talking to each other and their friends than making a sandwich. 30 minutes for two sandwiches when there was literally no one in the store was a bit much. I've just learned that I will avoid this location and actually make the entire drive out to the other location because it means that I will actually get my food in a reasonable period of time like those two little at home rather than having to wait almost 40 minutes and still have my sandwiches be wrong

Got the chopped grilled Italian assorted, ended up being extremely greasy and vinegary. Don’t get this one, $20 for a large and a bag of chips and I regret spending that money. The other subs are probably good but I won’t be returning

Very disappointing and not like it used to be. We waited 25 minutes for a large steak sub with cheese and onions. The cost was $22.17. The wait time and the price would not have mattered if the sub was good but it wasn't. Got home and unveiled a lukewarm sub that was haphazardly thrown together. The roll was hard and not fresh tasting and the cheese was not even melted. The amount of steak on the sub did not match up with the price or subs we have gotten in the past. Will not return.

Let me start off by saying that I have been the customer of calabresella original location in Gates for a while now. The customer service has always been great there. I had a horrible experience with the guy who works here who is supposedly the manager! Right off the bat he was extremely rude when I asked about the menu. I bought this small sub which was 13$ for which a transaction fee was charged. I asked him about it as it is not common to charge a transaction fee at any other place. Him: Arrogantly responds YES they do You do know about it! And walks away after charging my card! I asked him for a receipt. Him: The transaction is done I can't give you the receipt. I asked for the manager. Him: I am the manager I don't give receipts! And starts talking to someone on the phone ignoring me. I asked if there is a list of veggies toppings that I could add to Sub. Him: We don't maintain lists here. What do want to add? At this point I was very agitated by the service I requested for a refund. Him: I can't give you a refund the card is already charged. I asked him to call the owner and check on the same. Him: owner is not responding. The owner does not know how to print the receipt or give the refund either! At this point I decided to get the sub and walk away and decided not to go back. It is very surprising that restaurant staff/ manager is 1. Not trained on how to print receipts 2. Don't know how to void the transaction or give a refund 3. And is Disrespectful the customer and is extremely rude. This is such a disappointment for a person who has been regular customer at the other location!

Guy asks what I want on the sub. I ask what he has. He tells me everything, just tell him what I want. Same with sauces, "we've got like 50 different sauces" great. So helpful. I'll go somewhere else.

Opens at 10 but don't expect to get food. Guy stumbled in at 1010. Wanted a sub but no bread made.

Website has a bunch of subs and wraps, when you call to order they do not have anything on their website, They expect you to list every ingredient over the phone 😂
