Recensioni di SJ Garcia's Lake George
Food is great. Staff is very friendly and the food comes out quick. The back deck has a view of the deck as well. I will be back.
Jeg Kan godt lide maden. Meaning for I Like the food in Danish Good Food, Good Service, Even the quality. It is worth going to Lake George's SJ Garcia's.
The place next door that they own has the best smoothies I've ever had. Not too sure about the Mexican part though.
No longer a Mexican restaurant. Casual American dining. Good food good drinks, good service, reasonable prices.
Look no further than this Mexican restaurant in lake George!! This staff is attentive. The beer is cold and the food is awesome. Not to mention the atmosphere is inviting and the AC was just right.
Blackened chicken sandwich tasted as I had hoped, I really am partial to that kind of seasoning. It was a calm enough experience and I was just grateful that the kitchen was still open at 10pm
Great atmosphere both at the bar and tables, get there early for a window seat. and fantastic specials. We have had many great times here over the years and and always look forward to returning.
We had a blast in this place. We sang, we danced and we enjoyed the cocktails. Thanks for putting up with our jukebox karaoke. We will see you again.
I am rating this a 5 star, because i was the only one who liked the food. And the rest of my family didnt Like the food. Whoever is in the kitchen should learn more about mexican food. If the food would be good then many other people can come for the burgers tacos and meats. I enjoyed the food.
I absolutely LOVE this place. The food is amazing the prices are not too bad but your right in the village and getting good food so it's worth it. Staff is always great and attentive. They have a patio if you want to eat outside.
I absolutely loved my meal here! I'm so happy I didn't listen to any negative reviews on this restaurant cuz they were all wrong! The homemade chips were phenomenal! My chimichanga was delicious in the view of the lake was fantastic! My husband's dinner was delicious as well, he got the beef chimichanga. The salsa was all homemade as well and it was very delicious as well. The only negative I have to give is that the fried ice cream had a Frosted Flake coating on it and it was a little chewy. I wish that they had used a batter instead but it was still delicious! I will definitely come here again! they also had a lot of great tap beers and which were also Mexican which was great to get! You don't always get Mexican beers on tap!
We almost did not go to Garcia's due to the poor reviews, but we are so glad we did go. The food was very good, we had enchaladas and burritos with Mexican rice 4 meals were awesome. We had Alex as our waiter and he was very attentive. Goes to show don't totally rely on reviews.
As the husband and I sit here finishing our meal, full to the brim and alcohol infused. We've been coming to LG for years and are now locals to the area. Why we haven't eaten here before has us scratching our heads. The service was awesome, the alcohol drinks delicious, and the food amazing. I can't even believe I ate as much as I did. The tater kegs, steak & cheese crunch rolls, Oscar's smoked cheese and sausage platter, and the fish fry are amazing!!! If you haven't eaten here, you must. I promise you won't be disappointed! Can't wait to be back for more
This place is being slept on. Got the GOAT Chicken Sandwich and by far the best Chicken Sandwich on the strip. Service was friendly and attentive. We had a party of 10 and everyone loved their food. Highly recommend. Cheers.
We were pretty hungry and the more popular restaurants nearby had hour + waits. We walked into Jack Barry's and it was empty. After we ordered, I glanced at the reviews and said oh no. However, everything was fine! my salad was very fresh, the fries were great, my husband and sons liked their food - loaded nachos, cheeseburger and for my picky son they made a custom item not on the menu- chicken and cheese quesadilla- he said it was better than taco bell. service was friendly. I say give this place a try.
Had a great lunch and drinks. Sorry Brett wasn't there the day we went. Next time in the village will definitely be back.
We are here because we were tired of the crowded and overpriced popular restaurants in Lake George and this place did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly, the drinks were great, and prices were reasonable.
Went here for eats with friends on July 4, 2016. We were lucky because they were understaffed and planning to not accept large parties, but one of our friends was definitely a smooth talker. ;) We were a party of five, and we were seated in the middle section between the bar and the street entrance, near to the cash register/restrooms. The chips and salsa were homemade and delicious! Our smooth talker got us another round on the house! (They charge for extra). We later asked if we could be moved to the outdoor seating area when it becomes available, because we found out that we could watch the fireworks from there. We ended up paying our tab and leaving to grab a better spot on the beach a few yards away, but it was really nice of them to accommodate us with all that we sought out for. The service was amazing and we all had an enjoyable dinner inside and on deck. The bathrooms = 1 toilet and sink behind the door. The girls'-room handle got stuck on me and I was temporarily locked in. They should definitely get that fixed! Claustrophobes, beware! There wasn't any soap when I went, so luckily I carry a small bottle of anti-bac on me, for these just in case scenarios! If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I would definitely go back. Happy eats!
Stopped in on a random night. Used to to go alot when I lived in town. Hoping to see Brett. Must have missed him that evening. Everything was great. Best tequila in the village
Good Mexican American Restaurant and bar. Great location in downtown Lake George! The back deck was full, so we ate out on the front patio and people watched as we dined. The service was great and the food was very good. Found a coupon for a free draft beer with any entree and used it! Nice place to eat.
Visited with a family of 5. Menu had a lot of choices for the 3 kids and 2 adults. Prices were slightly higher the. I would expect but your a tourist so it wasn’t unreasonable. Chips and salsa appetizer was great, chicken fingers for 3 were delicious and plenty of food, fries for the wife and enchilada for me. We found the food to be great, service was stretched for 2 people working but on top of what we asked for. $75 bill with tip and mixed drinks.
Decent food, and service. Average for a Mexican restaurant. Nothing stood out for it to rise above the rest, but it's worth going to.
I went here when I was in town a couple of weeks ago. We ate on the patio. My lunch companions had nice meals. I had a burger, but it was cooked well done. I asked for medium, so it was a little disappointing. It still tasted good, I was really hungry, but I wished I had it cooked the way I wanted.
Did takeout. Forever for the wait person to take our order, incredibly long to get 3 items, when asked for hotsauce all they deemed to spare were 2 packets...missing sauce for one app. Food was good despite all that.
Lake George is packed but we got a table here. Service was friendly and efficient. All good on that score. Sadly, food was disappointing....my grilled chicken fajita sandwich unfortunately was very bland, other dishes my family had were similarly undistinguished (fish tacos and quesadillas). So on positive side, we had a dinner when we weren't sure we'd find a table available in town; on the down side, even Chipotle brings more zest to the meal.
Good service. I lived that they had gluten free options designated on the menu! I liked the tacos and the rice was great. My mom got the fajitas and the steak was rubbery and overcooked. They replaced it with chicken and that was much better.
Food was fair. Restaurant was relatively clean. Staff tried to be helpful. Definitely overpriced for quality of food but really is typical for touristy restaurant... as areall these restaurants in Lake George.
reviews are accurate. service here is AWFUL. queso was very oily, and the salsa was sweet not spicy. two stars instead of one because the chips were decent
They are not real tacos, so many things to do better. Also the beer changes prices depending on the day, one day it's 7$ the corona and others is 13$... They have to check themselves.
Food was mediocre. The food is not traditional Mexican. For a "Mexican" restaurant they were playing all kinds of music including reggae which didn't fit the ambiance. Their credit card machine didn't work. The only positive things was that the staff was nice and the drinks were good.
I hate to write this, but my last experience here (June 2020) was a disappointment. My complaint is that for a chicken fajita wrap (served with choice of fries) I was charged $21+ for mediocre quality food -- up from $13.99 (which I paid in late May). During both visits, I only ordered a chicken fajita wrap (that comes with a side) and nothing else. The waitress informed me that prices increased due to summer and Covid-19. Ok. So, why are they not advertising that increase in prices? Also I would not be too annoyed, but my fajita was bland tasting and loaded with cheese. Cheese is cheap and when you are puts lots of it on food that is a telltale sign of covering up lower quality meats. Yeah, I’m not coming back here.
By all means, try this place for yourself. Two vegetarians and 3 kids, it's often difficult to find a place that accommodates all of us. This menu appeared to do just that. We got veggie chimichangas, a burger, nachos, and chicken fingers. The chicken fingers were fine, the burger was really good but my 8 year old didn't care for the poblano pepper they stuffed into it and the nachos were less than desirable. Our veggie chimichangas might have been good had they put veggies in them rather then more of the black beans and rice that came on the side. It was a bit redundant. Vegetarians should probably pass on this place, the burger was good. 5 of us were over $100 out the door.
Very poor excuse for a Mexican restaurant. Would rather eat at Taco Bell. The only good thing was the salsa, but it had absolutely no spice to it, so we asked if they had any different salsa that might be a little more spicy and they said no, but we could add hot sauce to it if we wanted. The chips were all broken and looked like they came from the bottom of everyone else's basket who didn't eat them. Then I did not see a combo enchilada/taco on the menu (which is a standard combo), so I asked if I get could a taco and an enchilada. They said sorry - they couldn't do that. So I ordered an enchilada and a bean burrito combo. I thought all combos came with rice and beans, but not this one. The burrito was just okay, but the enchilada was the worst I've ever had and it was a simple cheese enchilada. Sorry to say that I would definitely not go here again. My husband said the chorizo quesadilla was okay.
The best part about this place is the atmosphere like the vibrant colors for that Mexican theme. Everything on the menu was very expensive, especially for the proportions. It cost me $13 for an appetizer size chicken quesadilla (which was actually the meal size) and $12 for two soft tacos and rice. The rice was not good or cooked consistently, it was both chewy and hard and very bland. If they had bigger portions and better tasting food we would be back, but for that cost, we certainly won't make any priority to go back.
Largely ignored. Had to point to the drink menu to order. Probably 12 patrons including the 4 of us at around 9pm last night, but plenty of wait staff to stand around. As soon as we took our last sip, bottles were whisked away without a word, not even offering another. Not a good look for a Saturday night out on a summer weekend, in a tourist town. Not impressed.
I have to say the restaurant itself gave good vibes the wait staff was good the food on the other hand was not even close to what authentic Mexican food is like I would have even gave them props if the food was at least as good as taco bell or chipotle to say the least but otherwise u better off avoiding this place altogether and the price was not cheap I wouldn't have mind paying for good food but overall a missed opportunity
Sadly, I feel the 2 stars I'm giving is generous. But, I'm giving the 2 stars because our waiter was super nice. He was very attentive, helpful and quick. He even switched out our chips for just corn instead of the mix chips when we asked. But, unfortunately, I'm sorry to say the food was not good, in my opinion. We were incredibly hungry so we ate most of it anyway, but it was bland, and the rice was dry.
Tortilla chips and service were good which is the only reason for a very generous 2 star rating. Food was not good in comparison to other Mexican restaurants. Queso dip was not very good at all. The drinks were weak which was surprising because we ordered their own specialty Margaritas. The food was also pricey for what we were served. Overall not impressed.
I would never step foot in that dump again. The worst food ever and service was bad. When I confronted the person In charge, he was rude and told me to leave. I am writing this so someone might save their money
So disappointed, so disappointed. It took over 30 mins to get some kind of service. the place wasn't even busy and what really bothered me the most is that the persons that was setting right next to us got served before us and they got to the place like 30ish min after us. Come on you guys.....!!! Dont wast your time an money. I would give them -10 but i can't.
I agree with all the previous reviews. Food was not good, nor the prices, but worse of all was the poor managerial skills. Very unprofessional, loud , and rude to the customers, will not be returning.
Gross. The "fresh guac" I think comes out of a squeeze tube. Gross. The Baja fish tacos tastes like old bay seasoned chunk tuna. Warm chunk tuna. Not white albacore.....chunk. Gross.
The worker (who I think is named Chad) proceeded to call a crying kid the r word and scream at customers for no apparent reason. Then about 10 customers walked out because of his behavior. Absolutely disgusting.
The place was okay. We waited for an hour to sit and another to get our food. The only thing good was our waiter, he was very attentive.
Taco shells were stale, meat was under cooked, margaritas was all mixer and no tequila. I would not recommend this place at all.
One star is too many. The food was awful. Service was not much better. $125 for food we couldn’t even bring ourselves to eat. Don’t waste your money.
Is it possible to give 0 stars? Please don’t take your family here, you’re better than that. I had the fish tacos which were served practically raw. This place is not cheap either. For undercooked, microwaved “mexican”, give this place a try!
First the service. Waited 25 minuets with empty cups and didn't order. Then the food. Girlfriend got taco salad and it used canned chicken, and bagged cheese and the juice from the chicken was still in it. $13 for that? I hope it closes. That was horrible.
Is this an American grill or Mexican? I can't quite tell. The reviews all talk of Mexican food, picture of Mexican food, name thats misleading? Have you changed your name to prevent further negative reviews? Were you bought out?
Worst Mexican food I've ever tasted. Disgusting food period. Overpriced, and ridiculously small servings.. rice from a box, beans from a can, cheap rip off of even Tex Mex Food. Disappointed
Great drinks, tasteless food. Must say the staff is great, and the food needs lot of improvement! Come on its Mexican food it needs spices , cilantro, cumin, lime to elevate the flavors.
Wish I read the reviews before eating there tonight. Although staff was kind the tacos and taco bowl we ordered was inedible. The “carne asada” was grey, rubbery and simply inedible.
Food mediocre at best. Margaritas were sugary and expensive. Service subpar. Sent wrong dish and never corrected. Great spot, but not worth the money.
Worst guacamole ever... served with cold pita chips for NINE dollars. Overpriced food and ZERO ambiance. People standing in line all around you breathing on you while you eat. Asked for a refund...they refused.
Wow the worst service ever way over priced margaritas 21 bucks for pre made trash. The bartender some old dude made it the worst possible experience ever and Mexican food do you self a favor go to Taco Bell it's more authentic then the slop the serve I would not let my dog eat there
Wish we had read the other reviews before we went. Some of the worst food I've ever been served. The service was not great, but the food was downright inedible. It pained me to pay the bill with plates full of food left on the table. Don't go to this place.
I wish I can give zero stars ! Worst Mexican restaurant ! Bad food bad service, my food was cold, my soda tasted like metal, I saw a cook take someone left overs and put it back on the grill. I never got my wings and was charged. Everything was just bad I wouldn’t recommend no one to this restaurant.
Do not waste your time! 1. Overpriced food 2. Horrible service 3. $2.50 for sour cream 😭 4. They charged me an extra $5 for nothing on top of the already overpriced plate & when I called to find out why they told me to deal with the card company.
The bartender was rude, we sent our drinks back 3 times because he had no idea what he was doing. The food was dry, the queso was weird. Not a fan. Joder ese lugar.
Awful experience. Honestly people the reviews are spot on. Rice was dry, the steak was stringy and the service was horrendous. Don't waste your time or money on this dump.
This place was good for drinks. It's a tex mex place. The food made me sick up until the next day I felt disgusted. It was definitely overpriced. And was the worst place we ate at in that location
I will never return to this place. Do not waste your time at this restaurant. The food at Taco Bell is better. The menu is extremely over priced for the food you are served. Sorry the food is so bad!!
Food was plastic but hostess Kaitlyn was great. Atmosphere was a green screen. Walls were falling apart. Kyle was chill bro.
Sorry, the food wasn't good... it was greasy and the beef had a weird taste in the tacos and taco salad. The chicken tacos were watery and just generally made us feel sick. The waitresses were kind and helpful but the quality of food is not up to par, sorry to say
Definitely skip for a Taco Bell run... The thing they liked to call the outside patio was more like the back garbage alley. I ordered something like a sampler and the burritos were soggy and sad definitely not worth the 2 hour wait. Went home and 2 hours later was projectile vomiting up whatever I ate. Slow service, the waitress altered my dads order because she "didn't want to confuse the internationals" (that's verbatim btw). I'll give it to them with the Christmas lights though.
The food was truly terrible. This restaurant was such a let down. You can save your money, buy some meat at Stop and Shop and make better tacos at home. The waiters were nice though but the food was disappointing. For food that was this bad, it was also extremely overpriced.
I arrived around 4 so not real busy. Staff is friendly, but when I was trying to get my server....he had to finish his conversation with another worker about non related work issues before he would come over. I ordered a frozen Margarita...what I got was a pretty class literally full of crushed ice with tequila. No Margarita mix at all. ( thus why I needed the server) He looked down...was mortified and offered to make another. I decided to just switch to the corona. I ended up having 2...which I never would have done had I known they were 6 bucks a piece. smh The basket if chips and salsa they gave...was comprised of almost entirely small broken stale chips. yuck I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The portion was a good size. However there was very little sauce, lacked any flavor and there was a fine layer of what seemed to be water along the bottom of the plate causing it it get soggy fast. This plate was 16.99....Prices WAY to high. The disabled woman I was with ordered the childrens plate of chicken strips with fries. For 9.99 she received three little pieces of chicken that was hard to chew and some fries. The fries however were actually good but not for 9.99. In short...they stay in business because if the high prices in a tourist town of unsuspecting customers....definitly not because of the food. Go some place else is my suggestion
Literally the worst Mexican food I've ever tasted in my life - and I've been to many mexican restaurants!! The food was so cheap and awful, especially for what you were paying. I thought it would be great bc of the location and the price! Never going back. The servers were very nice, I do have to say. But most definitely will not be back as I feel I have been robbed of my money.
Enchiladas were just a couple tacos with some sauce , the insides where not melted at all! Hope I don't get sick ,not really a Mexican restaurant. Dont waste your time or money, staff was really nice and friendly tho.
We went thinking it would be great Mexican Food. It was horrible. Ordered a Jalapeno Bacon Burger and there was no Jalepeno in it. Ask waitress and she said Oh no the Jalepeno is in the Bacon. My wife ordered rice and beans. The rice was uncooked, beans were horrible probably out of a can. Chips were so burnt. Our friends that came with us had the same experience. Never again.
Went there last weekend food was terrible, the service was slow took us 15 minutes to get orders and drinks and the restaurant was not packed at all, the food was not the best and that’s being considerate, I ordered 2 chimichangas and a kids taco and we all only ate half of it, Ordered 3 things and it came up to 64 dollars ridiculous and the manager only took off two drinks, I’m starting to think of never going there again! Oh not to mention I had to ask the manager for the check after waiting 20 minutes after our food was taken away from us, the whole restaurant needs to do better, Too many complaints
The food was terrible. Ordered the "house specialty", Dos Amigos. Bland beef burrito & bland chicken enchilada. Both were swimming in what tasted like plain can tomato sauce and grocery store mexi-cheese. My 10 year old daughter had enchilada rancheros and said her meal tasted like her 73 year old Italian grandmother cooked it. If that tells you anything.....
Its sad I dont have the choice of NO stars. The food was disappointing flavorless and the portions were like for a child. The margaritas were the only good part. The staff was pleasant and helpful. This restaurant has no idea what Mexican food is.
Worst food ever. Yuck ew gross 🤮 can't believe how bad everything was!!! Seriously I know management will read This. Get it together guys you need to season your food simple salt and pepper would go a long way . It's ridiculous to think you're proud of the product you're serving to your customers.
Terrible food... avoid at all costs. They use pita chips instead of tortilla chips, the "seafood" quesadilla is a mushy mess and has only a little bit of fish and no scallops or shrimp as advertised. The "carne asada" tacos contained more fat than meat and the tortillas were cold. The mexican flag combo was a bad version of school cafeteria sloppy Joe's with a lot less flavor. Most of the ingredients, including the salsa, looked store bought. They were not fresh. This is by far the worst meal I've had. It wasn't Mexican. It wasn't American. It barely qualified as food.
Do NOT eat there if you are a Celiac! I ordered a gluten free meal (as indicated on the menu), and told the waitress I had to have gluten free everything. I have never been so violently ill as I was that day. They clearly do not educate their staff about the dangers of gluten injestion.
"Mediocre" and "one-star" are generous ratings for this culinary affront to Mexican cuisine. How does an establishment get Mexican food so wrong? Go to S.J. Garcia's to find out. Technically speaking, the queso dip was cheese, but that melted block of cheddar hardened after a short time. The black beans seem to be freshly dumped from a can to your plate. The rice was hard, dry, and flavorless. Prepare to be horribly overcharged for what is sure to be one of the most disappointing meals of your life. Yellow jackets, however, seem to be complimentary!
Over priced, mediocre food. Chicken tenders tasted like frozen breaded chicken and the jerk chicken had no flavor. The waiter overcharged my account giving her self an extra tip!!
Horrible - don't waste money - enchilada was dry, rice hard and dry. Service was terrible - never was offered the Sala and chips. Waitress disappear had to go looking for her. Disgusted by whole experience.
Absolutely terrible service! I have never experienced service like that before! Margarita was mediocre, but after seeing first hand how they were made, it was no surprise! Group of 6, seated at the bar, Saturday August 18, approximately 2 p.m. Bartender was atrocious, more interested in her phone ! We just wanted a drink and to split anything appetizer, and she was definitely put out by that . Will NEVER go back! Oh and P.S. in case she's reading this, we have a bartender in the family, so we definitely would have over tipped , knowing we we're splitting an appetizer.
Literally, one of the worst Mexican resturants I have EVER Been to!! My husband and I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The chicken was extremely bland, the food, for some reason, was “watery” 🤷🏻♀️. The salsa they give you with the free chips was bland and flavorless. The Valentina they had on the table tasted and looked old. Stay away & Save your money. I’m sad I had to give them even 1 star... one is wayyyy generous.
Do yourself a favor and eat literally anywhere else but here. The service was abhorrent (on a busy night in Lake George, we were rightly skeptical when we immediately got a table). Our party waited 30 minutes for a waiter to bring waters, and he acted like he had done us some kind of enormous favor. After he finally got around to taking our order, we waited an unusual amount of time for our food considering the place was empty. When the food came, the real problem began, as several of our meals were unidentifiable and virtually inedible. I asked the waiter to remind me what was in the dish I ordered, as it didn't look quite right. I was met with a perplexed look as he slowly backed away. The entire time we dined in, not another customer entered the establishment. They should change their name to Jack Barfys.
If you’ve ever had Mexican, don’t eat here. If you’ve Never had Mexican, don’t eat here - it’ll ruin Mexican food for you. The rice was dry, the chicken was dry, and so were the beans. That’s hard to do. Seems like the beans were laying out for days. In addition, the sangria is watered down. Just don’t waste your time or money. Place is overpriced - Taco Bell makes better tacos and you can get better sangria at a liquor store. Owners: I’m glad you pay attention to the Google reviews, but maybe rebrand and find out what your chefs cook best...because it’s definitely not Mexican!!!
All the earlier reviews were pretty spot on. As part of a family trip we were in the area and went there with a group of over 30 people. They were completely overwhelmed even though the restaurant was relatively empty. After a long wait we finally got the food but the quality was Ok. In the end when we asked for the bill to be split and asked whether a tip was included, they said it was not but then when we asked for an itemized bill it was clear that a tip had already been included. Makes you question their intent.
The worst Mexican Restaurant I’ve ever been too! Margaritas sucked! The nachos were terrible! The bartender was more interested in her phone than her customers. Watched the bartender make the margaritas. She did not have enough to fill a customers glass, so she topped the glass off with margarita mix. We visited the restaurant on 8/18/18 and after the poor service and food we’ll never visit the establishment again.
My rating has 1 too many stars. Service was awful but the food was worse. My family couldn’t bring ourselves to eat the food. I’m very disappointed with quality of the food. The queso was not real queso it was orange and stretchy. Also it had big tomato chunks in it. I have been to many Mexican restaurants and this is the worst. Lastly the food is very overpriced. Don’t eat here save your money.
This was a terrible experience. I got the Macha Burrito...the black beans were obviously canned and tasted very bland. They were so watery that my burrito and plate was full of the black liquid. There was also so much cheese that’s almost all I could taste. kinda glad I couldn’t taste the sauce and meat cause it wasn’t very good either. I had a huge piece of meat the size of a meatball in my burrito too. My mom ordered the enchiladas rancheros and that wasn’t good either. The ranchero sauce tasted bad and the chicken was so dry that it was brown. Hers was also smothered in way too much cheese. Not to mention the nasty chips they served with the salsa. I realize that it’s Mexican American, but I found that almost everyone there including the guys in the kitchen all spoke French. There was no Mexican influence at all. It is the worst “Mexican” food I’ve had. I absolutely do not recommend this place. It’s our last night here in lake George and our last meal was terrible.
I very rarely post bad reviews, however, this place definitely deserves just that!! Do not waste your hard earned money here. There were absolutely no culinary skills involved in throwing together the nonsense that they considered as food!?!? I also happened to notice that they have on their menu an item called Kraft macaroni and cheese. !!!???? It's probably exactly what it says it is, straight out of a box! 😝
If I could give it no stars I would. Definitely skip this place. Here in town for Bike Week. Every joint in the strip was packed except this one. Should've been the first clue. Large bar and table area. Only 2-3 people in there. Seemed to be locals. Waitress was too busy standing talking to the locals to worry about taking our order. After 20 minutes of being ignored we went up the street to the Monte Cristo and dropped $110.00 on drinks after getting service within 5 minutes despite it being busy in there. Advice: get rid of the 2 mouthy old men sitting at the bar and get your teenage waitress in line with serving not talking to the locals.
The worse food I’ve had in a long time. Soda was flat, my mother and I ordered the chicken fajita wraps they both looked different and the chicken was like a sponge. I send mine back because there was no cheese and I got it back with the same brown sauce on it. Neither of us ate it. The waitress did not know what queso is and they did not serve it. No manager on staff to complain to or to make an adjustment to my bill.
The service wasn't that great, I was left choking with nothing to drink. The food barely had any flavor, my rice and beans were hard. My soft tacos barely had any meat and the little bit of meat it had was awful. I ordered a fish bowl and when I began to drink I noticed a dead ant inside my drink. This place is just disgusting! Don't waste your time nor money.
This restaurant is not only disgusting but the staff is unfriendly and rude! The chicken taco I had was canned chicken, cold and soggy! Absolutely disgusting all the way around. My brothers nacho platter’s ground beef was under cooked and pink, we asked for the manager and the “waitress” lied and said she was at another property and when I challenged that information the manager walked up LOL how embarrassing! It’s safe to say I’ll never ever go back, and I strongly suggest anyone thinking about going immediately find another place. Unsafe unclean and gross.
My wife and I were at Million dollar beach and decided to try SJ Garcia's. The quality of the food was sub standard and that is being kind. We ordered chips and salsa , tacos and burrito for 45 dollars. The tortilla chips were stale and was mixed with a unidentifiable cracker. The tacos and burrito had very little beef and was not very flavorful at all. If I were you looking for some decent grub don't even consider this establishment you will be disappointed if you do.. To top it all off they didn't even place any utensils with the takeout order.
I wouldn't recommend this place. Though the staff was friendly and the balcony has a decent view of the lake through the alley, the food lacked flavor. I don't know who's in the kitchen, but they need to learn how to cook Mexican food. None of the great taste and all of the grease. Overpriced and mediocre at best. Reading through all the reviews of people who had the same experience as me, you'd think they'd take some action to improve. I guess b/c of the location they'll always have customers despite terrible "top tier" quality.
The worst over priced take advantage of unsuspecting tourists Restaurant I've ever been to. Asked for a frozen margarita and literally got a glass full of crushed ice with a shot of tequila. It went back and exchanged for a $6 dollar corona ....smh. yes 6 dollars. Our food took forever to get, and the place wasn't even busy at 330pm. My chicken enchiladas plate had a fine layer of water on it causing everything to get soggy. For 16.99 I expected great food. Chicken nuggets ordered were hard and non chewable. The fries were good but plate was not worth 9.99 Save yourself the time and money...taco bell is better.
