Always great service, their portions are huge and they have a ton of different options for different palettes. Bubble Gum Flavor Burst Soft Serve is my recommendation!

Beartown is a family run local produce and green house with a little delight on the side. Their Ice cream parlor is hands down some of the best soft serve in the whole state. They have great employee base who offers wonderful smiles and alot of love for all customers.

One of the best places around to grab a quick ice cream and enjoy the nice summer weather. They have a nice seating area under a pavilion next to the shop too. The ice cream is of excellent quality and they have an impressive selection of flavors to choose from including soft serve and frosty milk shakes. If you order ice cream in a cone I would recommend getting a small or a baby and whatever you do NEVER ORDER A LARGE because the portions are much larger than you might expect and it quickly shifts away from enjoyment to annoyance as you try and keep your ice cream out of your lap.

This is the best value for an ice cream scoop I've ever gotten. So many flavors to choose from and the ice cream is good. Very good! They know how to set you up for success. If you get a cone with 3 or more scoops on a really hot day they still give you a cup to manage it all.

This place is so great! I don't have any pictures to post because we're always having too much fun to think of it. The prices can't be beat (3 adults ordered for 12.50), the quality and selection is incomparable, and the staff is always the nicest and sweetest. Update: ownership has changed but it remains the same awesome place to go. Prices and selection just can't be beat! And the staff are the best! Not pictured are the flavors of the day. Everyday has a new dole whip flavor and other specials.

Great spot for ice cream. Fun for tourists since it's close to the highway, but this is definity a local favorite. Take a picture with the giant wooden bear up front. Reasonable prices and generous portions on 30+ flavors. The only downside is no bathrooms, only a single porta potty.

Evening Treat at Beartown Peaches & Cream – A Soft Serve Sampler in Painted Post, NY Stopped by Beartown Peaches & Cream in Painted Post, NY, for a quick ice cream fix. The place has that nostalgic roadside charm, with a big, bold sign and a casual walk-up window that makes it feel like summer even on cooler evenings. I decided to try their soft serve chocolate and espresso coffee swirl, served in a cup with a fun upside-down cone stuck on top—definitely a playful presentation that made for a great photo-op. As for the flavor, it was okay but didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The chocolate was smooth but very mild, and the espresso flavor was quite faint—almost unnoticeable. I was hoping for a stronger coffee punch, especially since espresso usually has a bold profile. The texture of the soft serve was creamy and pleasant, but the overall taste didn’t wow me. That said, I have a feeling their hard ice cream options might be stronger in flavor and worth coming back for. This visit felt more like a casual stop than a standout ice cream experience, but the setting is friendly and inviting. If you’re passing through and want something sweet, it’s still worth checking out—just maybe skip the soft serve and try the scoops instead!

The food First thing I must admit is I am not a huge fan of soft ice cream. I feel no matter where you go it is out of a machine and pretty similar. That being said the portion sizes are HUUUUUGEE!! I almost get a baby or a child because they are so generous with their portion sizes. Specialties items such as Sundays, Milk shakes ect are good but nothing special. If you are a lover of hard ice cream like me don't go here. It is all Perry's or Hershey's products. Especially when right down the road on Market St you have a amazing homemade place called Dippity Do Duh! The place They have an amazing spot with a nice parking lot and many tables for you to enjoy whatever you get. Be warned if you come in the Summer at night expect to wait!! This place gets really crowded!! The location is 2 minutes off the highway. So it has easy access and had a Market attached where you can buy plants, fruits and vegetables. The verdict All in all this is a great place if you want to grab some ice cream especially soft serve. They offer great value. However you love hard ice cream like me. Go to Walmart and buy it or go down the road to Dippity's and get the good stuff!

$5 minimum on a card purchase, which was fine, but there was only a few things to choose from that cost $5. I chose a banana split, which was actually really great. However my buddy got a Brownie Sunday, which cost $5 and change. This place advertises large ice creams as "5 scoops" and larges cost $5. What I got for my money and what my buddy got for the same amount was totally unequal. I could barely finish my banana split. His brownie sundae literally came.out in a HALF sized Styrofoam coffee cup. It had a chunk of brownie, 1 dang scoop of ice cream and the usual Sunday fixings. Point being, he ate his in 4 bites. It was pretty disappointing.

Yummy ice cream! But, the line is usually very long. It took 45 mins to order during softball season. We don't go often anymore since there are quicker places around town, unfortunately. (But, we still stop by when the line is short!) I love that it's local, but it needs more employees to keep up with demand. The employees there are super nice, though.

The new owner makes the atmosphere creepy. He and his wife just wander around staring at the customers and pointlessly, "checking" things. The guy literally looks the way old, wet cigarette butts smell. He and his wife should make themselves useful and scoop some ice cream to help the kids they employ rather than stalk paying customers.

It was not anything exceptional as I have been told. We had milk shakes. I had Snickers and it had huge hunks of candy in the bottom. I asked by that it be made with chocolate ice cream but it barely tasted like chocolate. My wife had cherry shake and was underwhelmed. She said the cherries were dried up in the bottom. Service was not good. Girl was rude and unfriendly. The chocolate custard cones that my kids had were just mediocre in taste. However, my son who had a cookie dough shake said his was good.

Normally a great place for a treat, but today the server, a woman with glasses on, kept wiping her nose with her bare hands. I threw mine out it made me sick to my stomach. I should of refused it. No gloves, no tissue no hand sanitizer. I think I will stick with ice cream at home ! That's nasty, right in front of me at the window. I really expected better than that from there. 👎🙁
