I've been here several times over the years. Their crab cakes are really really good. I love the open air environment & outside peaceful seating. Great to chill with family, friends and even by yourself for a quiet moment or to clear your mind. I love it.

The best bacon, egg and cheese sandwich ever! I sour bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Fresh! The bacon was cooked perfectly crispy for the eggs. The ladies were very nice! I know it difficult to stop with the homeless issue happening right there, but the sandwich and service is worth it!

I love any spot that has FRESH SEAFOOD. This place has real crab in their crab salad sandwich and real shrimp in the shrimp pasta salad. It’s also a convenience store on top of a deli so you can get canned sodas/water/beer/seltzers and snacks. I always go with the crab salad sandwich with a side of shrimp salad and a Pacifico .

A perfect spot for a snack or quick bite on the Bayshore. Not at all fancy, just a few picnic tables and a little market. but they're got fresh fish, burgers and sandwiches, coffee and smoothies. It's faster if you bring cash. Service is very friendly, just remember, it's a convenience store, not a restaurant.

Always hits the spot. Been coming here for years. Quick, fresh seafood baskets. I had the Cod sandwich as I always do and it was just glorious. The coleslaw is so good. Fried shrimp is delicious and crispy. A Berkeley hidden gem.

Great sandwiches, great burgers, great staff. These days, I often ride my bike from SF and head down the Bay Trail when I get to the East Bay and love that they're right along this path, when I definitely need a meal after 40 ish miles. Though I have been going since the late 2000s when I was in college.

One of my absolute favorite spots in Berkeley. I thoroughly regret passing this bike path Oasis by for 2 years before stopping in. Great outdoor seating, staff are good natured, and the menu will hit the spot whether you want a healthy smoothie to fuel your ride, a modello tallboy, or a burger and fries to reward your efforts. There's plenty of parking for those on 4 wheels looking for a bite/beverage on their way to/from Caesar Chavez Park, Berkeley Marina, Cal Sailing club, the Marriot or the great toddler playground nearby the marina. You won't regret stopping by.

Fried Catfish Sandwich was very good! I would order it again. The bread was Dutch Crunch but they take out some of the white part so it's a good bread to sandwich ratio, nice touch! Seating outside, nice for a sunny day. Drinks, beer, chips and candy available for purchase too. Enjoy!

Does someone who has been in Berkeley for a long time this is one of like the places I feel is a spot that if you've been in the area this will be a place you're probably going to visit. But ultimately this is a spot where me and my family for like to come for some smoothies or small snack. My mom would rather go here then to a place like Jamba Juice because of just how good it is also the location is great it feels Homey the people are very personable. Especially if they remember you because if they remember you they'll know exactly what you want every time when they see you. And ultimately the reason why I'm finally leaving a review is quite simply we came to their place right when they were about to start closing just wanting some smoothies and they were able to make us some and they got my mom's order just a little wrong because she didn't want something in her smoothie they went out of their way at their closing time to not only make her one smoothie because she said she wouldn't even be able to completely finish the customary one they're working but another just because she talked about possibly splitting it with my little sister. The people that work there deserve this good review and I hope that they keep thriving. This picture is just one of the smoothies I got

Ok so full transparency. We did not know what to order. So we ordered just about everything! All items were absolutely fresh out the fryer. The batter was light and crisp to a perfection. Prawns were my favorite! We were literally driving by and decided, this place looks amazing! Do we stopped and we were not disappointed! If we are ever in the area this place will be a spot we show others. The good food came out rather quickly. The vibe was just perfect here!!

Made a quick stop because I was curious about what they sold here. They have a many menu items from sandwiches to fried food accompanied with cold slaw and fries. Lots of options for candies, drinks and snacks to take on the go which looked pretty tempting. I purchased a carrot cake for the road and will have to come back to try out the food. I appreciated the background music and it seems like a nice spot to sit, eat and decompress.

Loved this spot! It's a walk up deli with fresh fish tacos and shrimp sandwiches. The sauce was like none other. I liked the sitting area outside a d looking at the view of the bay, people watching. The staff was really nice and the food was packed with awesome flavor. It was a nice stop in a long scenic walk. It doesn't look like much from the outside but there is flavor talent in there.

The food and beverages here are great and the team is excellent. The seating is picnic tables and bar stools at various counters and tables. Plenty of free parking including an adjacent semi truck parking lot. Easy access to freeways and major streets. I walked from the Bay marina nearby. The food is made right and quickly. Lots of salad, sandwich, and seafood basket options. There's a group of display fridges for juices, energy drinks, sodas, and bottled water. The cappuccino machine is handled by the cashier with élan and skill. The cook has all the skills. The bathroom is clean and suited to wheelchair access. The dining area is clean and open air. Lots of snack foods for take away including baked goods from the kitchen here.

Had an opportunity to revisit Seabreeze in Berkeley on a beautiful day after a 20 year absence. Ordered the prawn basket (4 large ones) which came with fries and coleslaw. The prawns require 3-4 bites each and they were so delicious and filling, I was only able to eat 2...saving the other 2 for my snack🦐🍟🥤

A local treat! Chowder is made fresh and Available every day, bread bowls only Fri Sat Sun. Very good, lots of clams. The real treat is the catfish! Got it as a lettice wrap. Fresh cooked, hot and well seasoned. Just fantastic! Homeless have been relocated 2 weeks ago, none to be seen.

My first time visiting. The crab cakes were ok, not made with lump crab meat. All of my order was hot and made to order.

I think everything tastes better when eating at a picnic table! When is comes to fried oysters... this is my go to place. They are huge and done just right! You just need to know to (1) order first at food window (2) get in line to pay (3) grab a seat at picnic table and then go check back on your order, which will be ready quick. You can also get amazing smoothies here too!

The food at Seabreeze is amazing and definitely worth a try if you are avoiding traffic heading south from Berkeley. They also have a wide range of home baked goods including poppy seed bread, and cream cheese based pumpkin muffins. Definitely check it out!

Absolutely the worst Prawns/Shrimp I have ever had the displeasure to try to eat. 1st off my order went through Doordash. But no self respecting cook or chef would ever release the totally burnt prawns like I got from their kitcken. The Prawns were actually black and fry burnt. I will give Seabreeze another try though. I am a hopeful optimist.

If you’re enjoying a day at the Berkeley Marina or cruising by on the frontage road, definitely stop by this wayside snack shop. They offer good old American seaside (in this case bayside) classics like burgers, fish and chips, fried clams, shrimp Louie, and corn dogs plus deli sandwiches like good old tuna, roast beef and turkey. Order at the deli case then take a seat outside to wait for your number to be called. I just love this place.

The New England clam chowder is very good. The reuben sandwich is not a reuben at all because they use mustard instead of thousand islands dressing. But still a solid sandwich

It's been a while since I've been there, and the prices have definitely changed. My shrimp tasted burnt, and I asked from double fries instead of coleslaw. I still received coleslaw. The customer service was on point, and the atmosphere is always amazing.

This is a hole-in-the wall place. It's just outside the state park. I had a hamburger and fries. I enjoyed it. The seating leaves something to be desired. Seating was older picnic tables on gravel with no covering. That aside. I enjoyed the burger and fries.

I wanted a mountain dew, while they had many in their fridge, they were ALL expired. I ordered the bbq pork sandwich, which was good, I wish they put more meat on it though. They don't skimp with the sauces if you ask for them on the side, they don't charge extra for them either so that was nice. I also got the crab cakes meal with fries and Cole slaw... crab cakes nothing terribly special about them, fries were good. Cole slaw was ok, nothing terribly special. Overall it was all edible, just not memorable, which is fine, if you're hungry it'll get the job done. The prices I don't feel were terribly ridiculous for being so close to the marina. So overall good, not great. Just wish I was able to get my Mt dew not expired.

Extremely delicious sandwich. I give the sandwich 5 stars and the customer service a 5 as well! The 4 star rating is honestly based on the location and surroundings. The spot is not great. Not really close to anything else at all and they would be in much better condition if they relocate. The Restaurant is surrounded by TONS of homeless camps and so many animals. I almost felt like I was in Tijuana.

Fried calamari was delicious. The hamburgers are 5 star lot of French fries. Reasonable pricing at the Marina location. Berkeley only thing around. Still good 😋

If this place gets busy, service can be a little bit lacking. However nice people work here and they have a good selection of different items. Little known fact, if you have a boat in the marina or just need ice, they will bag it up for you for like a buck and a half for about a 10 pound bag. Best deal on Ice cubicles

The Catfish And Coleslaw Was Off The Hook!! The Prawns Needed More Flavor To Them, And They Were Fried Just A Little To Hard. But Overall, Fantastic Experience.

I was staying nearby at the double tree for work and we needed to grab a quick bite for lunch, so we stopped by to check it out.. I ordered the reuben sandwich. While the fixings were good the bread was barely warm, definitely not toasted and made the whole sandwich a rather chewy experience. Could have been good if the rye was toasted on the griddle with some fresh butter! Overall seems like a cozy place it's a bit pricy but what isn't in California...

I had the prawns with fries. They only give like 3 or 4 prawns, I wish they gave more for the price. So I feel the portion is small. My husband had the prawn sandwich. Needed a little more of their tartar sauce & Cole slaw. Overall plenty of parking, seats to eat & chill atmosphere. And you can go for a walk around the Berkeley Marina.

One of Berkeley's longstanding delis for good sandwiches. This was my first time here after many years of driving by this spot. I had the crab sandwich, which had plenty of meat and it would've been perfect, if I didn't ask for mayo(rookie mistake). Either way, I'll be back soon.

Food is good but overpriced ofc. Good views and everyone was nice. Better to bike walk run swim etc here than drive. This place is on the corner of legitimately one of the crazier 4 way stop intersections in the area

It was OK, the sandwich was overpriced & extremely thin on meat but location, I guess. Berkeley has a lot of places & I'll probably try something different next time I'm around.

This place used to be a treasure, but lately its like 3/4 of it vannished. Its definitely not the same and the horendous site of all the homeless peoples stockpiled junk is really appalling. Ya thknk the owners would complain but who knows. Not stopping by there again

I thought the sandwiches were respectable but not anything to write home about. The service was pretty quick and the server was honest to say that it was not really a sandwich place but more of a seafood place so I appreciate that.

Only place by the waterfront from Richmond to Emeryville for a stop when biking, walking or running to fill your tummy or to get a drink. Don't expect super delicious food but it's decent. Service is good.

Nice people here. The food always smells so good. I'm working across the street so this restaurant is in a great location for Joggers, bike riders, and people enjoying a beautiful breath taking and serene veiws with an atmosphere of feeling blessed. My co worker eats here everyday. He loves the hamburgers. Plz stop by and come in and take this wonderful experience back home with you. 👍

I went here yesterday and I ordered 2 fried 🍤 and 2 🥣 of clam chowder. The 🍤 were fried so had that the roof of my mouth is hurting. The clam chowder was watery. I normally like the this place but I won't be back for a while disappointed ☹😤

I thought this place would be cool. All I wanted to do was eat seafood while enjoying the ocean breeze and summer sun. Other than the chilled cocktail shrimp, your only seafood options are deep fried which is a huge bummer. While nothing fried sounded good to me, I figured that the calamari would be the safest option. It was all rings, none of the flavorful tentacles, and they came from the freezer which I find to be unacceptable. It's called the Seabreeze market and you're serving frozen, fried seafood. Shame on you. The location is awesome and it has the potential to be a great restaurant, but it falls short. Sauté some shrimp in a little bit of beer, butter, and garlic or grill up a little bit of fish and I'll be back every weekend. Until then, I may come back for a beer, but I'm staying away from the food.

Food was fair, the menu is mostly fried food. We had a large group and it took 45 minutes to get the first order.

I have been going to Seabreeze Cafe since the 90s it used to be a great little place to grab a cup of clam chowder of a nice turkey sandwich, but lately it has gone down hill. The store looks empty the shelves are empty and traffic to the store looks like 10% of what it used to be. The whole store looks lifeless. There used to be nice plants and flowers now it looks desolate.

Such a stellar location. I wish they did more with it… the time I went it had even less than an average gas station might have

Every item ordered by three of us could have come out of a five gallon container. Not really bad, but far from “good”. Service was good and cheerful and watching the traffic at the intersection of University Avenue and the frontage road was interesting. Some of the Bay Area’s premier aggressive drivers put on a show of speed and impatience that was sobering.

I'm so disappointed. $14.50 for a turkey sandwhich sandwich, plus another $1.50 cheese. My partner and I each got a sandwich, he got a canned A&W rootbeer and the total was over $30, after tax and tip the final bill was $42. Yes. I know everything is expensive. But for reals, there were 3 slices of deli meat and 1 slice of cheese. It was more bread than anything else. Ike's is also a $15 sandwich but at least you can see that the price equals ingredients between the bread. Seabreeze has always been an expensive sandwich, but it used to be quality and now it's not.

Extremely dirty and even more so overly priced. Not worth it. $7.89 for two Diet Cokes and two bananas?!!! I'll never stop at the flop hut again. Avoid it. Also, watch your belongings. Lot's of Riff Raff individuals waiting to steal something out of your car hanging out in the parking lot.

Filthy, disgusting. What on Earth has happened to this place. It used to be a great place to stop. They sell coffee, but they have no milk. To buy a cup of coffee I had to withdraw money from there $3.50 ATM. They have an $8 minimum 4 debit cards. The shop is third world looking inside now. It used to be a fun, open air Market. The most disgusting thing is there porta potty. They have no bathroom but they've got a honey bucket, as it's labeled, that looks like it has not been cleaned in a year. There is human excrement all over the floor. If this is where the staff is using the bathroom, I would be very concerned about getting any prepared food here. It's impossible to walk near that Porta-Potty without getting pure feces on your shoes. This used to be one of my favorite little places to stop for lunch or for coffee. I will never be back here again, and I recommend you consider the same.

Today 05-02-2021 @ around 1pm it was my first time trying seabreez I came here with my sun, when my sun stepped out the car he was like I don’t wont to try it but anyway continuing on, I wanted to try it out well let’s just say I wished I had listened to my sun. I go in and I order the so-called crab sandwich and a side of frys, the order was waaaayyyy over priced and the food is very cheap! My order came out to be $22.00 for a small bland so-called crab sandwich (which) was made with imitation so-called crab what ever that is and a side of fries let’s be clear the fries these people serve here are 99 cent bag fries you buy out of the grocery store yes literally. 1. Over Priced for cheap food 2. Sandwich was bland no taste no special sauce or anything imitation so-called crab 3. Not worth the price. 4. As much as they are over charging people I hope that they are going to one day pay to have their parking lot fixed up so folks want be running over a bunch of rocks and glass 5. I thought this was going to be a good little diner dive in and drives spot but nope so not worth it. Me and my sun go out to eat like almost every day and we try out different restaurants, from there after we try them out judging on customer service, looks, appearance, quality, quantity, and most of all taste we make our judgement and immediately write the reviews based on that particular restaurant at that moment. This one here is most definitely a no go for me and my sun, we most definitely will not be returning back. Wished I’d never ever came here and wasted my energy and funds trying this tasteless place out. Forgot to mention it doesn’t even come with a drink imagine that.

I am so sad that customer service has become robotic. The staff use to be friendly and as a customer you felt good. I 've been an excellent customer going at least two times a month for about 15 yrs. I order the same tuna and bacon every time. I 've always paid with my ATM debit card with no issues. Recently,an female owner has been working. So I understand if there are business issues that she is addressing to make it more profitable ..yeah! But somewhere in this change As a customer Id felt hurried,anumber,picked on and filled with a lot of negative tension. The owner's voice is loud and demanding.She has a way of looking at you with a smile but she doesn't seem to see or acknowledge you. For example, a lady who had just paid 46. dollars for crab was asking for more butter..even though the owner grab the butter container..in her sharp voice she was directing another person across the shop. My turn she never did acknowlege my order..just said the crew knew my order after I said it. She is business (good)but no customer service.Just get them in and move them out. At the register, it was the same way. The debit option was gone...I was asked for an ID which I thought was joke. I said I 've been a customer for twenty years and you want a Id Quicklty,the clerk pointed to a sign ..then said 5000 dollars was just lost on a stolen credit card we took(not my business..too much info..an excuse for bad service) This as a good customer was not my fault so now I have to pay. I then asked if this policy was for everyone because at that moment I d felt as if profiling was going on. In a matter of seconds this clerk's whole body language and attitude change negatively. She just gave me a look that made me very uncomfotable.I said ,you are not the owner .. you are only dong your job.This is when she pointed to the female with the loud robotic non customer service oriented Demeanor! I felt she was not doing a good job. This is not an April Fools joke! Luckly,this business has the right location and the food (made by employees that have been there for years with people skills who don't raise their heads anymore) is great! Right now ,the customer service sucks starting at the top. I will not be back as a customer for awhile and especially when the owner works I am going back to make sure the ID policy includes everyone! If there was a negative star Today, that would be my ratimg!

Got the prawn poboy and a funky monkey smoothy.... $27.00. The sandwich was small. The breaded prawns seemed like they came out of the Safeway seafood freezer and microwaved. The smoothy was supposed be chocolate & banana. Was just chocolate & no banana at all. I would have been way happier with a Safeway deli sandwich. We also goy the fried clam strips. They looked like the little fried batter bits from the bottom of a deep fryer, and the fries looked like those skinny frozen French fries. Also, the ketchup tasted like dirt. I really had high hopes. Will NEVER go back there. I will add that I think this place used to be really good but has since changed hands, and the new people have totally screwed it up. If you look at the good reviews, they are fairly old, and the bad reviews are pretty recent.
