Dumplings and Steamed buns were very very delicious! Try the pork or shrimp!
Absolutely loved our experience at Dumpling House! The service was incredibly attentive from the moment we walked in—friendly, prompt, and welcoming. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The dumplings were especially tasty—some of the best I’ve had! Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious food and great service.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an incredible Christmas Day meal at Dumpling House in Frisco, and it was phenomenal on all levels! The sesame chicken was perfectly cooked—crispy, flavorful, and not overly sweet—while the pork buns were some of the best we’ve ever had. Each bite was packed with flavor and freshness. The service was quick and efficient, and even on a busy holiday, the staff was warm and welcoming. The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere made it a perfect spot for a festive meal. Dumpling House is definitely a new favorite for us, and we can’t wait to return to try more of their amazing dishes!
Great place to try some dumplings. My best option is frozen ones, you can bring them home and keep in the freezer. This option is provided with ice, so you can safely transport. One time I ordered takeout but better option was to dine-in as that was faster. Modern ordering system with touchscreen is good benefit. Calm place, no loud music.
What a great restaurant! Dumpling House is in a good location with plenty of parking nearby. We visited on a Friday evening and were immediately greeted and seated. The restaurant is nice and clean. Our server took our orders promptly. We ordered the House steamed buns and the Soup Dumplings. Both were brought out very fast and both were fantastic!! The Soup Dumplings were our favorite. They had the perfect amount of soup and meat inside. They had great flavor and were the perfect size. The steamed buns were very good. The were large with a good amount of filling inside. They were cooked perfectly, fluffy yet moist with great flavor. I would definitely order both again. Customer service was great!
Tried the dumpling house as it’s been on my need to eat list for awhile. The soup dumplings and the spicy garlic chicken were delicious so that got the restaurant high ratings alone. The only thing I would comment on is the speed of service. There’s not much sense of urgency and although she was super nice, our server never came back to check on us which sucked bc we needed water refills for more than 25 minutes with the spice level of our food. Then, when paying with card, a different male server stood right over our shoulder the whole time when inputting our tip in. Other than that, will be back for the authentic food but probably will grab the food to-go.
This location of dumpling house is better than the others. The ambiance is more welcoming and service was good enough to get you fed and consistent with water refills. The dumplings tasted fresh and plump with the filling. Their dumplings will satisfy your dumplings cravings. The two orders I will order again is the cucumber salad that tasted like a seaweed salad but refreshing and the other is orange beef, which was cut to bite size to make it easier to devour! We will back anytime we visit in town!
We were craving dumplings and decided to try this place—it’s amazing! The ambiance is really nice, and the see-through kitchen builds trust that the place is clean. As vegetarians, we were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to order. They have a few vegetarian dishes, and we tried the hot and sour soup and vegetable dumplings—both were great! We would definitely be visiting this place again
The food here wasn't bad. The buns are probably what I'd recommend trying but hopefully they cook all of them right since one of our buns wasn't cooked fully. The raw dough did disappoint a little but not enough to where we'd give them a mediocre rating. I'll give them a second chance at that. The beef pancakes had pretty good flavor and the noodles, in my opinion, were blah. At least try for yourself though.
I wanted to try dumpling house for some time now. We came here once before and they were closing up mid day for a break before dinner time. We came again on a Wednesday night at 8pm and had to wait 10 minutes for a table, which we thought was odd. But sitting down, you can see there’s no tables for 2, only for quads or big family tables. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, general tso’s chicken and white rice, and the house special fried buns. The food came out pretty quick, the presentation looks very nice but as someone who’s had Asian food/ soup dumplings since toddler age, something was missing in the taste for all the items we ordered. They tasted good, but something was off, it might need more salt or MSG. The pork soup dumplings lacked that pork flavor, and there wasn’t too much soup inside. The fried pork buns were good, very big in size, but i wish it had more meat to bun ratio. The general tso’s was okay, I rather get sesame chicken next time. Overall, it’s not pricey, it’s pretty decent but I don’t think I would come again because the taste and flavor is lacking. It would be perfect for someone who’s never had soup dumplings or eat much Chinese food.
The food was good. We ordered the soup with tendon and beef and there’s a different floral taste, not something we’ll get again. The soup dumplings were delicious. We also tried the King Pao Chicken dish and the cucumber salad. The cucumber salad is so refreshing. The service was good. The restaurant is extremely clean.
We enjoyed the food here. Most dishes were good. The pork dumpling soup was by far the most flavourful. And the Shredded Cold Chicken noodles are completely avoidable. We also felt that the Pork and Chives Steamed Buns were a bit under cooked. But it still had the flavours. Combine that with the Spicy Chilly oil and you have a treat in your mouth. The ambience was decent and the staff could have been a bit more Warm. Would have definitely helped them get the additional 0.5 star.
I’ve been to this location many times, while I love the food, my biggest issue is always the service. Last time I visited with my family it took almost 20 minutes for us to even get a glass of water while the restaurant was virtually empty. Our food came out at different times instead of all together (this happens every single time), drink refills take too long, and trying to get someone to bring a Togo box took so long despite us being probably the only table at the time. It’s not the first time it happens and is the reason why I stopped eating here so regularly, despite how much me and my boyfriend like the food. Also we tried using the bathroom and barely got past the door, the smell was nauseating. And they were very very dirty.
I think they changed ownership/staff because I don’t remember services being this bad and I always come here to eat when I am visiting. We even had my mom’s birthday party last year here. The staff were awful this time and it was not even busy for a Friday night! I came in first to get a table. Two waiters walked by and didn’t even acknowledge I was standing there waiting to be seated. Finally one lady came up and just looked at me no smile nothing like i was bothering her. Food took forever to come out and they forgot one of our dishes. Had to ask twice for it. Finally bought it out but didn’t give rice that came with it. Gave us a hard time whenever asked for the rice saying they already gave us rice with previous entrees we ordered. They did not apologize and did not want to give us rice. Come on now…rice is cheap! Just give us the rice to the dish you forgot to bring out! We had finished eating the other dishes already along with the rice they gave us. We didn’t know we had to save some of that rice for the dish they forgot to bring out. Also please look at your receipt because they will automatically charged you 18% for tip even if you don’t have a party of 6. When questioned her about the tip being automatically added, she argued and said you said party of 6 but clearly she can count that there was only 5 of us that were there. So I won’t be coming back here again when I am in town.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not go here!! Wait time was terrible! They were lying to people saying 20-30 minutes for a table and even for takeout. It ended up being over an HOUR. We only stayed because we placed a togo order and prepaid. We saw numerous tables waiting on their meal. Any time I would ask for an update it was “it will be a few more minutes” which turned into over an hour. It was not just us but the entire restaurant. I am not sure if they were short staffed or what but the least you can do is be honest about the wait time. We finally get our food and part of it isn’t even hot. We will NEVER return and I would say don’t try your luck. Ambiance was decent. Weird sewer smell inside if I am being honest.
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. We waited two full hours for our food. After one hour, they finally brought out the sesame chicken, which was dry, and honestly worse than Panda Express. We then waited another hour for the rest of our order. When I pointed out that customers who arrived after us were already eating, the staff said our food would be ready in “one minute” and brought out another dish—but the dumplings never arrived. At that point, we said we didn’t want to wait any longer and asked to just pay for the sesame chicken. Despite this, they still tried to charge us for the dumplings that were never served, clearly showing they had messed up the order. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the excessive wait, and no respect for our time. The service was rude and dismissive, and the food we did receive was awful. Save yourself the frustration — do not waste your time or money here.
I wasn’t aware of dumplings not supposed to taste burnt. Thank you google for letting me know. Also the chicken taste like they cooked it this morning and then reserved with the sauce to try hiding it. Disgusting dumplings at best and do not recommend. Wish places would have some pride in what they serve but oh well.
