I recently dined at Japan House in Irving and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The quality of the food far exceeded that of typical all-you-can-eat or buffet-style establishments, particularly the sushi, which was fresh and expertly prepared. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant and inviting, and the service was prompt and courteous. I highly recommend Japan House for those looking for a superior Japanese dining experience.

Omg so good. The owner is so kind and is always greeting and speaking to guests and he truly seems passionate about his work. The price has stayed the same for a couple years which is what keeps me coming back, because the food is just amazing and I would be so sad if it became unaffordable. Haha I would die for their short ribs and dumplings 😍

The service here is top notch! We loved our waitress! I have been to both locations and am so glad they opened one closer to my area. My favorite dish was the yellow tail. Everything was fresh, delicious… and the best part, AYCE. Thank you for a fun and delicious dinner.

Came here with a friend. They were very, very busy. Considering this place is all you can eat, with lots of sushi and related options, I wasn't surprised. I took advantage of that and mostly filled up on Sashimi. The pieces were very big and high quality. The sake I got was also reasonably priced. There were a lot of families present, so there's something for everyone.

Great atmosphere and service. The food is exceptional, and nothing disappoints. I highly recommend the seared salmon belly and the Japanese short ribs. Zach and Jason were not only attentive but also made great recommendations.

Amazing Place! We were seated as soon as we entered, and the sushi was ✨️sushing✨️ I recommend the salmon sashimi and the crazy salmon roll. Both are amazing! 😝 It's $34 per adult for the all-you-can-eat. Trust me, you get your money's worth. 👌 come after 4:30 so you get access to all the dinner. Anyways... our server was SO nice and friendly. He waited patiently when someone was thinking of what to get. Thumbs up for him! 👍 P.S. Get the ice cream at the end. Strawberry is good. Recommendations for the food: I think it would be even better if y'all made the spicy items 🔥more spicy🔥 They were fire, but it wasn't giving the kick of flavor. LOVED the place ✌️

Just ate lunch here...Was a little skeptical on an all you can eat sushi place, but my friend who is a foodie said it is great bang for the buck. It was really good. Service was a little slow due to a private party of 100 next to us, but everything was very good. I will bring my family back.

One of the best AYCE restaurants ive visited in a while. and The prices are very reasonable. You better come hungry the menu has so many options. The small portions give you a chance to try so many different flavors. Ive yet to taste the whole menu but I've made it my goal. The Food is high quality and their booths make it feel like its your own personal tasting.

We were recommended this place by a friend. Very nicely decorated and great service. Food was amazing, especially the cooked rolls! Loved the little robot! My only complaint was I wish there was a dedicated gluten-free menu. Will be back.

Rock & Roll roll! Love that they have a riceless roll option! The Teriyaki (any meat) was so good!

Great service, nice atmosphere, we all enjoyed the food we ordered. I personally liked the flavored sake. I'd definitely like to come back.

I used to come regularly, but because of life circumstances, I haven't been able to come till today. The manager greeted me and told me it's been a while and I was shocked because I'm a single person, and always come alone for lunch. Both him and my waiter remembered that I order ice cream at the end . I always have the best waiters and waitresses when I come in . It's always a great experience. Thank you for remembering me

The food was delicious. I am allergic to most of it, but still found great delicious options. Came here to celebrate a friend and I was nervous about what I would be able to enjoy. The prices were reasonable. The ice cream was delicious and brought out by a robot. My friends also enjoyed all the food and the ambiance.

Awesome place! My family and I love coming here for our gatherings. We’ve also had our company Christmas Parties here a couple of times! Highly recommended!

Fantastic value. Huge selection of items for dinner. At least 150 items with tiny portions(I intentional and a good thing) for you to enjoy. I recommend not ordering the max each round. Pace yourself, 😜 you have unlimited rounds but will still have to pay extra for uneaten items.

My husband and I were going out for an early date night. We saw this restaurant and the advertisement of all you can eat. We were quite interested. When we walked in the ambiance was really inviting. They were very busy around 5 pm. As I walked to the restroom I looked at everyone's table to see what the food looked like. I was getting excited. We decided not to do the all- you- can eat because it was $30. My husband prefers hibachi so I suggested we order one to split and try a few things out. He agreed. We started with a California roll, only $5 and was a little skinny but good. We also got a crunchy salad that consisted of cucumber, seaweed, shedded crab sticks and a homemade mayo based dressing and a crunchy top, it looked like panko flakes, $6. It was light and refreshing for a hot summers day. We also ordered the calamari that was only $7 which I thought was an awesome price until I got it. It was a very small maybe 4" plate with what looked like onion petals which I had not ever seen in this shape before. They were over cooked but still edible, just chewy. I should have sent them back but just didn't want to waste food. I did tell the manager when she came around to ask how our experience was though. The hibachi steak we got came with half a plate of plain fried rice and fat chucks of lightly sauced steak and broccoli and zucchini, it was so good! The steak was so tender! All in all it was a good experience. Our bill came to $37+. We will come back when we have a special occasion to celebrate and want to spend $30 a person to try all the higher end sushi rolls.

Love this place. Dinner is so worth it with sashimi being available. Everything tasted fresh and had no fishy smell. Food came out fast and Wendy, our server, was quick to make sure we ordered more food before we ran out.

Came for lunch all you can eat. Definitely did not disappoint! There are so many options to choose from salads, soups, sushi and other items. Great variety and comes quickly. The best part was the ice cream dessert at the end which came to the table via the robot waiter. Great touch and entertaining! Worth the money and we will be back!

We had a party of about 13 people and the put us in a large room for a little bit of privacy. It's all-you-can-eat, so we tried several appetizers, rolls, salads, Miso soup, and some entrees. We all ate well and full. The staff kept coming and taking our orders. Nice place, great food, excellent staff.

The food was great and the atmosphere was fancy. Everything tasted fresh as I ordered raw sushi and liked everything that I ordered. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had our waters full and everything was great. Would go back again.

Highest Recommendation! I Absolutely Loved the Many Varieties of Sushi and Sashimi, along with Their Salads. A Great Place for Special Occasions and Birthday Celebrations! (My Birthday Included!) I Cannot Wait to Come Back Again!! Best Buffet Ever!! **NOTE** NOT an Open Buffet. Each item from the menu is made AFTER your order is placed and then brought to your table by the Attentive Waite Staff.

AYCE Japanese place. Serving sushi, sashimi, some hibachi and Ramen. We came for the sushi and sashimi. Weekends are dinner prices. $33.99 for adults. Not unreasonable at all. Everything cover to cover is included except the drinks.

PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE THANKS TO JASON!!! I’ve dined in several times here now, and the service is always amazing! They get orders out quick, and the staff is so kind. However, my most recent dinner with our server Jason blew me away! Jason made great recommendations based on our preferences, and he also made suggestions from what we ordered before! He made sure we always had everything we need and that everything was good! Zack the manager is also very accommodating and kind. Food here is always fresh and delicious! I love the nigiri and hand rolls here. Great selection for AYCE! Definitely a fave spot of ours! Parking is ample as well!

I've driven by this place numerous times over the years and had always told myself I would try it, but never did. I'm glad I finally did. The selection of food is very vast and it feels like everything I ordered was amazing Theres also a lot of seating so there was almost no wait The servers are very friendly, though I did feel like it was a bit slow. Otherwise, I would go back

Food was delicious! Highly recommend Salmon Belly, Avocado Bomb, Salmon Sashimi, Short Ribs, and strawberry ice cream! The ramen and steak hibachi was okay. On weekends, the price is 33.99 (dinner price) which includes the sashimi - great deal! Small portions like tapas! Order anything, 5 items per person at a time, which is great! Service: staff and server were friendly! The robot did not serve us :( Atmosphere is great! Large place, plenty of seating, booths are semi private! Beautiful clean place! Will definitely come back!

The food is awesome. I love the all-you-eat feature which is the main reason I come here. The staff have been professional and friendly. There are times that the orders are delayed, or never come out; which isn't uncommon at all-you-can-eat establishments, especially when they're busy. I do hope they can come up with some kind of process to help patrons identify what is being brought the table, as the people delivering the food are not easy to understand and they rush away before any patrons are given clarification on what item is what.

This was our first time at the new location and our second time visiting Japan House for a special occasion! Our waitress TIFFANY did an AMAZING job accommodating and taking care of 7 of us. Our water was always refilled, dirty dishes always taken up and she always checked on us if we wanted to order more. This new location is very clean and spacious, we love it! They have 3 tatami mat rooms and another private room which is great for parties. The sushi was excellent and FRESH! Our orders came very quickly and without any error. We will be visiting again! Thank you Japan House, keep it up!

We had a large group and our server logan was great 😊 weekday specials for dinner are nice, got a bunch of stuff on there and felt like the $34 ayce price was worth it for that. favorites were scallop, salmon belly, and yellowtail. not sure id go again if not for the specials. They brought out all the nigiri on one plate so it’s sometimes hard to tell what is what

G

Easily the best AYCE value for quality in the DFW area and it’s not even close. Area is always clean. Polite and prompt service. Food is presented quickly with effort in presentation. They need a location in flower mound and or Denton.

Just as good as the other location but much closer to my house. Less driving for me! This place is seriously fun with delicious fresh food, a delivery robot cat that makes an appearance while playing music. Went back again for Valentine's Day. The service was incredibly fast, exact, delicious, and impressive! We will be back again, soon. A++ The staff is plentiful and busy trying to keep the food coming. I love that the portions are small so you can try many different things and the risk of over ordering is much lower. They carry gluten free soy sauce and were happy to make accommodations for my gluten, egg, and dairy allergies. A++ I highly recommend and will be back. Update: went back again. Delicious and super nice staff.

Loved everything about this restaurant. I’ve always wanted to try new sushi and thanks to this place I was able to! Portion sizes come smaller so you are able to venture out and try new things. The service was great! Everyone here was so nice and welcoming. I definitely recommend to all sushi lovers. Had my first Onigiri here and it was just as good as everyone says it is.

Wow, wow, wow!! Y’all this place was a FANTASTIC find! We were so impressed with the atmosphere. The service, and especially the food. Let start with the concept and restaurant. You can order all you can eat for $34 (dinner/weekends) $22 (M-F lunch) or order a la carte and the menu prices are unbelievably reasonable for this crazy time. Most of our party doesn’t eat much so we ordered Al a carte and 2 ordered all you can eat. The restaurant was very nice and very clean. They take reservations but we didn’t have one and got seated very quickly with a party of 8. When you order all you can eat you can order 5 dishes at a time, unlimited number of times, and they’re a bit smaller than normal servings but PERFECT for trying multiple items. The service was probably the best we have ever had at a sushi restaurant. Our server (Long, C) was incredible. He was polite, attentive, helpful, made amazing suggestions, treated my girls (who we were celebrating their birthday) so amazing. The robot, Emma, was adorable and even sang Happy Birthday to my girls. Everyone was friendly and service was quick and the food was prepared amazingly well. Food was SPOT ON! Being all you can eat I was worried it would not all be fresh, maybe even like buffet almost but I was totally wrong. Everything we ordered was from the kitchen was hot and definitely fresh. The sushi was cold and perfectly prepared. I couldn’t say enough good things about our entire experience. We will definitely recommend to everyone we can and will definitely be back!

Japan Buffet House is an amazing place to dine! The customer service is excellent, and the restaurant is always clean with a welcoming atmosphere. The food is fresh, delicious, and such a great experience every time we visit. Our waiter, Hong, was outstanding – very attentive, informative, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and service!

We all had an amazing time here. The food was excellent and the staff was great. Service took a while at some parts but we were there on a Saturday night so they were super busy. We understood and took the extra time to talk and have fun with our friends. Zach the bartender was fantastic and so much fun! Great service from him. There are so many options to choose from. I loved the fish tacos, pepper tuna, Crunchy salad, all the sashimi especially, but I didn't really have a bad dish. I definitely ate too much but it was worth it. The price is $34 for dinner which is an insane value for a sashimi-included AYCE. Definitely ask for the specials because the salmon belly was fantastic. I do wish they had ika (squid) or scallop sushi as those are my favorites, but I definitely walked away happy and satisfied.

If you like a variety of fresh and great tasting seafood, then I can recommend Japan House. We had the buffet that is really table service of five dishes you select from the menu. You can order another five and repeat until you're full. Just don't over order, or you'll be asked to pay extra for any dish you can't finish. A robot delivers your first round of food, which is fun. The wait staff is very friendly. Our server, Julie, was very sweet and efficient. We fully enjoyed the experience. My favorite was the shrimp dumpling appetizer called Fried Shumai.

We have been to this establishment multiple times. The food and service are always exceptional. The food is always appetizing on the stomach and the eyes. I was craving AYCE sushi one night and I was glad I found this place. The restaurant was bright inside, clean and the staff (Ariana) was very welcoming! The AYCE is $33.99 for dinner and the menu was very expansive. The food was fresh and tasted great! My favorite was definitely the salmon belly (photos included) which was on their special menu and not on the physical menu. Best part is that dessert was included with the price I was paying unlike some other place I know of in Carrollton. Definitely should give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!

I love this place!!! The quality of food is great and worth the money. Service is depended on the day and time. Someday was excellent but someday was quite slow and server might forget to check in on you and fill the water. Overall, I’m loving the food here and always coming here almost every month.

My husband and I went to Japan House to celebrate his new job and we had such a great time. The customer service was amazing and one of their newest waiters, Ryan, who is only two weeks on the job, took exceptional care of us! Definitely ask for Ryan if you’re there, he had amazing food recommendations. We got: Two clear soups Fish taco Pepper white tuna Yakitori (chicken) Muscle dynamite Japanese Short ribs Fried calamari 911 roll Mega shrimp Volcano role baked Dallas rolls California role Crazy salmon Rattlesnake Highly recommend the green tea ice cream! 😍

Very customer-oriented place! This is one of my HAPPY places. If you love unlimited sashimi, this is the place to be. We held most of our family birthday celebrations here. Whenever we have family and friends visiting, we always bring them to this place. The manager, Ming, and all the staff are very friendly and professional in their dealings with us. They are also able to host big birthday parties here. Last April, we had around 90 guests and in August around 50 guests, and they were all satisfied and happy.

A great place to take the family or have a business meeting. All you can eat sushi up to 5 selections, brought to your table, one after another for one price. Best quality I have had in a long while! The owner, Zach, takes great care & pride in selecting fish or other items from local vendors. The Best & freshest salmon I’ve tasted (I don’t eat raw salmon but I absolutely LOVED it here). Don’t forget to try their ice cream delivered to your table by an adorable robot! We will be sure to stop by here every time we are in town. If you’re in the area, you’ve gotta stop in, You won’t be disappointed!

Japan House is an all-you-can-eat sushi gem—love this place! The salmon belly sashimi special was the absolute highlight: fresh, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Don’t skip the matcha and chocolate ice cream duo either—it’s a surprisingly great combo. Bonus points for the cute little robot that delivers desserts to your table! It’s perfect for lunch too, with better pricing than dinner. Great spot if you’re craving a sushi feast.

First time going and I LOVED IT! Make sure to go with an empty stomach to be able to taste all the food options. You can have multiple rounds with 5 choices per round. When you order your dessert ice cream, a robot brings it to you.

Japan House is always a welcoming experience. The food is unlimited but made fresh to order, with a large varying menu. This place is great for someone wanting to try new food as well as sushi lovers. The pork buns and the I- 20 rolls are my go-to. We visit at least once a month, if not more!

R

This buffet is like no other! All you can eat but the food comes to you by servers always fresh from the kitchen. Our maitradie Wendy was always avaliable to take our orders on a tablet. The order goes straight to the kitchen and shortly is delivered by the staff. Wendy presented our cake to our birthday son with candles lit. She was so sweet. We were impressed with the establishment, however, they could improve when the staff come out with the food that it would be helpful if they knew exactly who ordered it and placed it at the proper seat. As it is they come and call out what dish they have brought and the patrons have figure out who it belongs to. It can be confusing if several people order the same thing. It'd more difficult for large groups. Still worth every dollar! We will be back!

I had a bodybuilding competition on December 13th, and we spent days trying to find the right meal for after the show, the first normal meal I get after months of prep, so it had to be good. When we discovered this place we decided it was the right place to try, and it was AYCE. As soon as we walked it, we were greeted by the owner, Zach, at the bar. We were seated and the owner came right over to talk with us again. He was funny, joked in the right ways, he was extremely nice and we could tell he truly cared about the restaurant, he built the place with his hands, told us how he did it and why he did what he did. He was very great to talk with and all his suggestions for things to try only got better and better. There was not one thing I tried that wasn't absolutely phenomenal. The service, the food, the atmosphere, the food presence, the everything was perfect. The owner truly cares, he's there, he's present, he's working along side his employees and I respect that. I entered hungry and I left full and happy. If I ever return to Dallas, I will go here 100%.

The service was incredible! I've never had sushi prepared so fast. Our server Tiffany T was extremely helpful and knowledgeable which was surprising because she could look at the roll and know exactly which one it was. The atmosphere was nice with the decorations that make you feel you're somewhere else. I would definitely come again. The only recommendation for management would be to tidy up that men's restroom because it needed help. Overall a good experience

I love the atmosphere and freshness of the food. We got all you can eat and each food we ordered was delicious, Authentic and fresh. Best Japanese food in town and I would love to eat there every time.I can give them more than 5 stars. The hosts are really friendly and professional with a smile.

Great AYCE sushi, sashimi, nigiri in DFW area. Dinner AYCE is more expensive than lunch AYCE. Large groups will have gratuity already charged. We usually order for the whole table and just do family style. Recommended items: spicy crabmeat inari (inari - tofu skin pocket with rice), eel inari, rattlesnake roll, yellowtail roll, flying fish roe sashimi, snapper sashimi, salmon sashimi, salmon belly, edamame.

Very very happy with my visit here (first-time). We came during dinner hours and there was no wait to be seated; even with how packed it looked. The food came out quick and was delicious. Overall, the staff was great. Our server, Maya, was great. I highly recommend the Lychee Blast.

Jesus is an amazing server! Went above and beyond for us. This was our first time dining, and it won't be our last. 5/5 Food. 5/5 service. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It's so much to be said about this spot!! My sister and I just stumbled upon this spot while driving and decided to try it out. If you are reading this, I'm telling you, GO!!! When we entered, we were greeted immediately. Because this was our first time, I asked the bartender how everything worked. He was great and our reason for staying. We didn't have to wait. We were seated immediately. Brian was our server. He gave us excellent service. There were so many questions, and he answered them all with patience. The buffet is $33 for dinner. It is an all you can eat concept but not a buffet. Overall, I believe it's worth it. We even ordered dessert at the end . We left happy and fulfilled. We will be back.

Our go-to spot for celebrating! The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. Everything was freshly prepared to order, with plenty of options for everyone. Ever since we went to Japan House the first time, we have gone 3 more times in 4 weeks. The price is SO good for what you can order. The sashimi is so fresh and the orders come out very quick. I ordered the Japanese short ribs (kalbi) and seared salmon belly more times than I can count. I didn't have to wait but I did show up around 4:30-5:30 each time. I live over an hour away but if I didn't, I could see myself here every weekend.

What a great restaurant! We got the all you can eat, and man was it delicious. Portions were great and the quality of the sushi was excellent. One of the best and authentic sushi places in DFW! The food was great and their sushi selection is superb!!! They have sashimi options for dinner, which I barely see in any AYCE restaurant. Also, let’s talk about the service…omg! Blown away! We didn’t have to wait for more than 5 min for our food. Everyone that was working was full on helping one another bring the food out or bust the tables. Bryan took care of us and he made sure that we got everything that we needed! Amazing. The portion was great so it’s not too overwhelming. But yeah, everything was great especially for the price. 🩷

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. When we pulled into the parking lot, we noticed it was PACKED so we knew it would be good but didn’t realize just how good it would be. The service was incredible, and the food was even better. The owner walked around talking to the tables and sincerely asking them for opinions for improvement of the restaurant. The atmosphere was so nice as well. The food came out quick, was fresh, hot, and tasted absolutely amazing. When going to an all you can eat, you may think the quality of the food may lack a bit. But no, it was so so so good. Will definitely be returning and telling all my friends!!!

My group of 24 ate here last night for Christmas dinner. Victoria was our waitress. At first we were concerned we only had one waitress for our big group. As we all had long lists for our first order each, the food down the table started to come out. It was insanely fast!! The food was fresh and delicious. The place was clean. And most importantly, Victoria always had a smile on her face and her service as well as her food runners were very efficient. Will DEFINITELY recommend this place and will be back!

During our visit to Texas for a bodybuilding competition, my husband, I, and our friend discovered this fantastic place, and we're so glad we did. The food was absolutely phenomenal every dish we tried exceeded our expectations. My personal favorites were the 911 roll and the fried oysters. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a perfect setting to enjoy a delicious meal. The service was exceptional; the owner Zach went above and beyond to enhance our experience with thoughtful recommendations and his warm personality. I highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a try you won't regret it!

Always leave this place happy and full. The people here are friendly and they get your food to you quick!! We always do the AYCE option and it’s always a super good value. Our favorite AYCE sushi place in the DFW area!

This buffet offers a truly unique dining experience. Instead of serving yourself, dishes are brought fresh from the kitchen straight to your table. Ordering is simple and efficient with their tablet system they use. Wendy, our waitress, was outstanding very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious, the service exceptional, and the atmosphere welcoming. We will definitely be back as once we are in Irving again, this place caught us by surprise for sure!

I heard about this restaurant on Facebook and it was everything I heard. We had gone for my celebration because I love Asian food, the decor was much like being transformed into a dinning experience in China, it was beautiful and the seating was packed. We had to wait 30 min for a table. I don't think that they anticipated all the dinners they would have. Now im not sure if their food is cooked the Gordon Ramsey way but it pleased my palate. So we ate the All You Can Eat menu because I wanted to taste everything 😋. The manager came and asked if we were enjoying ourselves which was very nice because most managers do not show interest in customers and he told us that they have three kitchens that served fried food, one served soup and the other served the rolls or something like that. But you will enjoy soup, seafood, sushi rolls 58ll your belly is full. I enjoyed it and will be back.

Alright, folks, listen up. I've found a place in Irving that's not just a sushi restaurant, it's a full-on culinary adventure with a robotic co-star. Japan House is a sushi lover's paradise, offering an all-you-can-eat experience so vast you'll need a game plan. The menu is a tome of deliciousness, with so many options that even the pickiest eater will find their new favorite roll. The ambiance is top-notch. The private seating and authentic Japanese decor made us feel like we'd been transported across the Pacific, a welcome escape from the usual hustle and bustle. But the real star of the show wasn't a dish, or even a chef. It was Bella. Bella, for those not yet in the know, is a dessert-delivering robot, and she is an absolute icon. She glided to our table with a tray full of ice cream, and the entire family was mesmerized. It was a perfect, whimsical end to a fantastic meal. The sushi was fresh, the service was impeccable, and the dessert was delivered by Bella the robot. What more could you possibly ask for? In short, if you're looking for an all-you-can-eat sushi feast with a side of futuristic fun, Japan House is your spot. Just be prepared to fall in love with a Bella the robot.

I can’t express enough how fantastic this restaurant is. The food is the freshest I have ever been served. The sushi is fresher than what I’ve had at a Michelin 2 star restaurant. The staff are incredible. Ask for Victoria every time. The Owner Zach is wonderful person and so hospitable. I would recommend this restaurant until the day I die.

I enjoyed an amazing sushi buffet lunch for just $22! The food was incredibly tasty and fresh, with a wide variety of options that left me completely satisfied. The service was outstanding—fast, friendly, and attentive, making the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for a delicious meal and top-notch service!

Fantastic Food, Warm Atmosphere, and Outstanding Service at Japan House in Irving I recently visited Japan House in Irving, Texas, and had an excellent dining experience from start to finish. The buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, flavorful Japanese cuisine, with a standout being the incredible smoked salmon prepared by Zach, the manager. It was perfectly seasoned, tender, and absolutely delicious—easily one of the highlights of the meal. Zach has clearly created a warm, welcoming environment in the restaurant. You can feel the pride he takes in the food and the atmosphere, and it reflects in both the presentation and the overall vibe of the place. To top it off, our server Jason went above and beyond. He was professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. It’s rare to get this level of service at a AYCE-style restaurant, but Jason made it feel like a high-end experience. While a few items on the menu were temporarily unavailable, everything else was exceptional, and we left full and happy. Highly recommend Japan House for anyone looking for amazing Japanese food, a cozy environment, and five-star service.

I absolutely love this place! The food is top-notch, especially for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Our server, Hugo, was fantastic. He was super patient with us and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our meal. He even made some great suggestions when we needed them. We’ll definitely be back for the food, the atmosphere, and the vibe. It’s a great spot!

Came here for Friday dinner & was pleased to find that the restaurant had a nice and welcoming ambiance. Our server, Michael, provided us with excellent service throughout our meal. Food was quite good, with a few exceptions. Unfortunately, some of the dishes were over-fried, & miso soup is bland which were a disappointment. However, there were a few standout items that really impressed us. The Hibachi Salmon & Short rib had a delicious flavor and was cooked to perfection. The Steak Rice was also a hit, with its tender meat and flavorful rice. Lastly, the Las Vegas Roll was a delightful combination of flavors that left us wanting more. I would definitely consider returning in the future to try more of their dishes

I went here for lunch on a holiday expecting the lunch price and ONLY the lunch menu. When I got my bill, it was the dinner price. 1. Japan House had nothing on their website nor did the waiter mentioned anything about the dinner price. I feel that this was deceptive on their part. I would have stayed regardless. 2. I ordered from the lunch menu when I could have been ordering from the dinner menu!! Japan House should do better to train your staff so they can inform your customers. I’ll still come back after I try out the sushi place in Lewisville.

I've been searching for great Japanese food in the area. Although still new to the area, I've been checking out other Japanese food joints only to be disappointed. This place does "tempura" 🍤 correctly while others use panko and call it tempura 😢 I went on a Monday around 12/noon and service was spectacular. It is order as you go, 5 dishes at a time. I have to say that they need to work on their karaage and katsu recipe... I felt it didn't seem authentic and Americanized instead. I enjoyed the takoyaki and lava sushi. I'd definitely come back, and with a bigger appetite to try more items 😅

Food is amazing, I recommend coming during lunch time because it’s cheaper. The Manager/Owner sometimes comes up and talks to you and can make you feel kinda uncomfortable.

Some of the food was good, some was just ok... it is all you can eat sushi... the robot server is a nice touch... very affordable sushi, lots of options and decent appetizers

I go here once in a while during lunch because it's close to work so Ive been here a few times a year over the past 2-3 yrs. The pictures attached to this review were from 2023. Update Review 2026: Might have been an off day but the quality seems to have gone down a bit. Still a good value to stuff your face with cheap sushi. Original Review 2023: The quality of this AYCE is actually pretty good for being an AYCE. It's not buffet style, so food isn't sitting around at a counter, but that does mean you have to order with the server. Weekends are dinner prices and you get access to the dinner menu. Food wise, everything we had was great. Good quality was high, tastes good, portions weren't large but not skimping. You can always order more anyway. The nigiri did have a larger portion of rice to fish ratio but I'm not going to knock stars off for that especially since Dinner prices gives you access to sashimi. The fish wasnt fishy smelling, was actually soft, and did good taste. We tried their mackerel, tuna, salmon, white tuna, yellowtail, albacore, snapper, lots to choose from. We had some random rolls that are manageable half roll size and not full giant rolls like you get elsewhere. This allows you to try more rolls without getting stuffed trying to finish a giant roll that you might not like. Had some hot appetizers like the shumai, calamari, and Japanese short ribs, though the short ribs were a bit fattier but tasted good. Everything was pretty good and can't say I had a bad dish. Service will always depend on the person you get but for our visit, our server was on point, came often and was attentive without being too much. We didn't feel like we sitting around too long and waiting to order more. Hope future visits give the same level of service. I'm not expecting much, just be available to submit orders :) Overall, definitely a higher tier AYCE.

It was my first time here. They do all day dinner on the weekend, so at the price $33.99 for unlimited appetizers, sashimi, sushi, etc… this place is a steal. The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated. Loved the ambience. They also have robot bringing icecream out to us. The strawberry icecream is a must try. In term of sashimi quality, I think it was decent. Sushi/nigiri had quite a lot of rice. Service was attentive and friendly. Our waiter kept checking on us to take more orders and we didn’t have to wait long for our order to come, except some fried items. Overall, good experience.

Loved the fact that its all you can eat..but they bring it to your table. The place is beautiful. They have a robot server. If you want. The place looks fancy. About $40 a person. If you go with someone who doesn't like sushi, they also offer entrees alone.

Experience was overall great. There's another AYCE not too far from this location but both are different. Japan House was a new experience for us and was our 1st time. There was a pretty large selection. They don't use a lot of cream cheese compared to some other places. They are very transparent about ingredients in their rolls so ANY allergies should be safe here. - would hurt to tell them ahead of time as well for cross contamination purposes. And for $30/pp, you really can't beat that. Our let down was that our server wasn't so attentive to us ..especially knowing that it was our 1st time . There wasn't much check in's or intros to some of their special seasonal items. - was told that the little robot is only for ice cream delivery. Parking and location is pretty easy to get to.

Me along with my husband visited this eatery for a late Sunday lunch. Its a all day dinner in weekends here, which means dinner menu will be available throughout the day on Saturday n Sunday. Its a all you can eat buffet restaurant but the food is brought to your table & made fresh as per order at $33.99 per person. The decor and lighting is a typical japanese style, very soothing to the eye with beautiful wooden structures all over. The service is awesome here. May be the best thing about this place. The empty plates are continuously removed, drinks refilled without even asking & definitely great recommendations. Coming to the food you have a huge option and also if you are a first timer and skeptical about trying raw fish/meat. The cooked food section is huge. The food was indeed delectable. Loved the rolls, had so many of them that we lost count. The only raw option we tried was Yellowtail Jalapeno which was delicious. We were so full by the time we reach at the middle of the menu, couldn't try so many. May be there is always a next time.

The food was probably a 7.5 out of 10. The sushi wasn’t anything special and I expected more. I really thought the sushi would be phenomenal and I was really excited to try it. Our waitress only came by when she asked us to order. The atmosphere was 10/10. Good vibes. The spicy edamame was good. The tuna poke bowl was weird. It came with chicken salad. I did not like that.

All you can eat sushi, hibachi and tempura was good. The good thing about their sushi roll orders is that the rolls are not big allowing you to finish a roll and thus taste a variety of type of rolls. The wait staff is attentive. The hibachi cooking, tempura and soups were good. The atmosphere is mild noise

Pretty solid spot overall, especially if you are in the mood for a lot of sushi without totally sacrificing quality. It is not perfect, but if you know what to order and what to skip you will leave pretty happy. First off if you are planning on drinking definitely get the sake bomb special instead of ordering sake and a beer separately. it ends up being like 40 percent cheaper that way and you are getting the same thing in the end. Food wise this place does a solid job for an AYCE spot. The fish quality is actually really good which is usually the biggest gamble with all you can eat sushi. The cuts were fresh and didn’t taste fishy at all and the rolls came out consistent every round. That alone makes it worth coming back. The beef ribs were the one letdown for me. They were a little too fatty and heavy so after a couple bites I was kind of over them. Not terrible just not something I would keep reordering when there are better options on the menu. Service is where things could improve. It was not bad but it definitely was not very attentive. There were a few times we were waiting longer than we should have to order another round or get someone’s attention. You are not ignored but you do feel like you have to work a bit for it which is not ideal when you are trying to enjoy yourself. One cool and unexpected touch was seeing the little robots rolling food out to certain tables. It does not replace the service issues but it was still fun to watch and kind of added to the experience in a weird way. Overall Japan House AYCE is a good option if you are craving sushi and want decent quality without breaking the bank. Stick to the fish skip the beef ribs order the sake bomb and you will have a much better time.

Japan House was delicious. We loved that it's all you can eat, and I appreciate that the portions are smaller so you can try a variety of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, hibachi, udon, ramen, and more! There are so many different options and everything was very good. Some of the dishes took quite awhile to come out at first, but then things started to adjust and they would come out more quickly. Zach, the manager, came over and asked us about our experience and if there was anything they could improve. He's very personable and loved hearing feedback.

My wife loves sushi. I do not. Nonetheless, I thought I'd give this place a try. I tried most of the rolls my wife got, and got a couple of my own. My favorites were the caterpillar roll and cowboy roll, but I learned I'm still not a fan of sushi 😅 Even still, there are quite a few non-sushi options! The tempura shrimp was excellent, and the pork buns and ribs were good too. The fried rice was subpar, but tasted better after I mixed in a teriyaki dish. The service was good. They made sure we were always satisfied. The price is reasonable for the type of food. I'd probably go again (for my wife 😁)

It’s a beautiful restaurant, to be expected since it’s only five days old. The service was exemplary, in fact, he came by too often. It’s “all you can eat” not a “Buffet”. You order off the menu, and of course, the portions are smaller because you can have as many as you want. However, the quality of the food is just not there. I guess my expectations were too high as I go to a fair number of upscale, Asian restaurants. Truthfully, I would’ve rather have paid more For better quality food.. I’ll go so far to say that it’s pretty expensive for the quality of the food. I ordered a “crab stick“ nigiri, and it was most definitely imitation. Unless you’re very well-versed in the different kinds of sushi etc, you’re kind of ordering blind. Also, the wasabi was not hot at all. I doubt I will eat here again.

It was an alright evening. After a short wait, my wife and I were seated but we were ignored by the wait staff for about 10 minutes before we had our drink orders taken. After our order was placed, we waited for about a half hour before our food began to show up. The first dishes were surprisingly cold despite being hot items. The food was alright but one of our orders was wrong. Edit: Not sure what I ate but I ended up running to the bathroom for most of the night. One of our items may have been undercooked.

K

First off, place was mostly empty so why was i seated right by the restrooms? things went downhill. Had to wait 10 mins between rounds and orders kept getting mixed up. So the third time, I asked the server to repeat my order and it still came out wrong. The fish dishes was what you get for a buffet. that fish salad however was pretty bad, I had to force myself to finish it otherwise I might get charged. the dressing was tasteless and the fish had an unpleasant texture esp the white fish. The hot appetizer items were mostly good and that sorta saved the day esp the korean ribs. Tried to place an order for it four times but only got two. But two is still good. very tasty

The food was okay but not particularly memorable. Some of the dishes felt a bit bland and could have used more flavor. The presentation was fine, but nothing really stood out. Service timing was also a little slow, and some items took longer than expected to arrive. It wasn’t a bad experience by any means, but it didn’t quite live up to what I was hoping for. With a bit more seasoning and faster service, it could definitely be much better.

The staff was really nice and attentive! My waiter was fantastic! Food was okay, they use a lot of mayonnaise and the plating could be nicer but not bad for the price!

I hate writing not so good reviews. I hate being hyped up by stellar reviews and try out a place to be so disappointed throughout a meal and then have to write sitting on the toilet in their restroom not even done with our meal. Why is this place rated so high? It had us fooled and I am slightly upset lol I would give it a 1 star which I never did before but I bumped up to a 2 because of the nicest hostess and waitress lol she is so kind so sweet which made me feel bad because the quality of the food is not her fault. I don’t think she even knows or maybe she does. I don’t think so. Upon entering I smelled an odor already. I discounted that. We sat down and was excited to order lunch items. We ordered quite a few but it took a LONG time to come. Like 15mins :/ as we watch the clock tick away because they close 2:30 and it’s already 1 and we haven’t gotten our food. So many things are wrong idk where to begin. Too much rice for one. Ahi tower is all rice. Nigiri is all rice. Tuna wasn’t fresh. Mackerel is cardboard. Salmon was ok. Surf clam and octopus was edible. All other fish is chewy n fishy. The fried stuff is ok. We ordered calamari twice. The rolls were horrid I am sorry. I’ve never had rolls this bad. It fell apart, nothing rolled inside and was all wrong. Idk if you can tell from the pics but it’s wrong. A child must have rolled it. I went to the restroom to look at who rolled it too. I feel so bad but I am in shock what a bad experience this place was. I wanted to like it so bad because we were hungry, the reviews were good and even a friend said it was ok and her parents came a lot so I did not expect this. The ice cream was good and I ate more calamari but even the udon and ramen tasted like it came from a package. Not authentic at all. The taoyaki was raw. The karate was from a box. The katsu was ok. Edamame was ok. The cat robot was cute and the place was pretty but again what happened to the food? It’s probably the worse sushi I’ve had. Even worse than this place I had in Austin which I wouldn’t go back. It wasn’t fresh and the quality was so bad :( I hope they read this review and make some changes because $21 for lunch should be better than this. Sushi Masa in Plano is better than this. There are so many other ayce sushi places in town. They must be fresher than this? Lesson learned… Yes we are disappointed but again willing to pay our share bc our hostess waitress Julie was so nice. Have to commend her for being so sweet amidst the horrible food

If there's anything I've learned about Sushi restaurant reviews on Google, it's that most people in the States don't know anything about sushi. Ordered a ton of nigiri, none of the fish had any flavor, like zero flavor, the blandest fish I've ever had in my life. The salmon was chewy, the rice had zero flavor, not seasoned at all. The nigiri had way too much rice, like double what it should normally have, and there's a disclaimer that you have to finish all the rice. The avocado in the sushi roll we got was more like avocado cream, way past ripe. The gyoza was fried but for some reason was stale at the same time and also no flavor. The spicy mayo was beige instead if that orangy pink color. The hibachi steak had a weird texture and it came with rice that just was not it. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice but would not recommend.

I really wanted to like Japan House, but this was disappointing. For nearly $18, the “shrimp fried rice” wasn’t actually fried — it was plain rice with vegetables and shrimp placed on top. The veggies and shrimp seemed undercooked, and the whole dish lacked flavor and seasoning. When you advertise fried rice, it should be cooked together, not look like steamed rice with toppings. Presentation matters, but taste does too. Unfortunately, this just didn’t feel worth the price.

I believe this place is better suited for people who enjoy buffets rather than à la carte dining. Unfortunately, I didn’t find anything that tasted fresh. Also, the caramel portion was very small compared to its price.

So, I've been to a bunch of all-you-can-eat sushi spots around DFW, and honestly, japan house just didn't measure up. I was really looking forward to it, but it fell short compared to places like Sushi Masa, Takara, Umiya and Takumi. The nigiri was kind of a joke—the rice was huge and the fish was tiny, like something you'd see at the grocery store (and I think grocery stores have lower rice to fish ratio). Their selection was also pretty limited. Other places have awesome stuff like scallop and sweet shrimp, but here it was just the basics. Also I am questioning professionalism on waiters, it wasn't even busy on a Sunday, but they took forever to clear our dirty plates. Also ocassionally waiters sent wrong orders to our table. It was pretty surprising, especially since I'd seen all the high ratings in google review. I'm honestly not sure what everyone else is seeing, because this spot just isn't on the same level compare to other AYCE places.

K
Kaison Thepbouri

Service was very slow, host sounded like he hated his life, and it was extremely hot in there. To top it off, the food was not fresh and poor quality. Even Chinese buffets serve better sushi!
