Ever since we went to Japan House the first time, we have gone 3 more times in 4 weeks. The price is SO good for what you can order. The sashimi is so fresh and the orders come out very quick. I ordered the Japanese short ribs (kalbi) and seared salmon belly more times than I can count. I didn't have to wait but I did show up around 4:30-5:30 each time. I live over an hour away but if I didn't, I could see myself here every weekend.
What a great restaurant! We got the all you can eat, and man was it delicious. Portions were great and the quality of the sushi was excellent. Our server was Ashlen, and she was very kind and got us our food very quickly. The owner, Zach, is absolutely amazing and knows how to run a successful restaurant. Definitely worth the visit !
One of the best and authentic sushi places in DFW! The food was great and their sushi selection is superb!!! They have sashimi options for dinner, which I barely see in any AYCE restaurant. Also, let’s talk about the service…omg! Blown away! We didn’t have to wait for more than 5 min for our food. Everyone that was working was full on helping one another bring the food out or bust the tables. Bryan took care of us and he made sure that we got everything that we needed! Amazing. The portion was great so it’s not too overwhelming. But yeah, everything was great especially for the price. 🩷
I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. When we pulled into the parking lot, we noticed it was PACKED so we knew it would be good but didn’t realize just how good it would be. The service was incredible, and the food was even better. The owner walked around talking to the tables and sincerely asking them for opinions for improvement of the restaurant. The atmosphere was so nice as well. The food came out quick, was fresh, hot, and tasted absolutely amazing. When going to an all you can eat, you may think the quality of the food may lack a bit. But no, it was so so so good. Will definitely be returning and telling all my friends!!!
My group of 24 ate here last night for Christmas dinner. Victoria was our waitress. At first we were concerned we only had one waitress for our big group. As we all had long lists for our first order each, the food down the table started to come out. It was insanely fast!! The food was fresh and delicious. The place was clean. And most importantly, Victoria always had a smile on her face and her service as well as her food runners were very efficient. Will DEFINITELY recommend this place and will be back!
During our visit to Texas for a bodybuilding competition, my husband, I, and our friend discovered this fantastic place, and we're so glad we did. The food was absolutely phenomenal every dish we tried exceeded our expectations. My personal favorites were the 911 roll and the fried oysters. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a perfect setting to enjoy a delicious meal. The service was exceptional; the owner Zach went above and beyond to enhance our experience with thoughtful recommendations and his warm personality. I highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a try you won't regret it!
This buffet offers a truly unique dining experience. Instead of serving yourself, dishes are brought fresh from the kitchen straight to your table. Ordering is simple and efficient with their tablet system they use. Wendy, our waitress, was outstanding very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious, the service exceptional, and the atmosphere welcoming. We will definitely be back as once we are in Irving again, this place caught us by surprise for sure!
I heard about this restaurant on Facebook and it was everything I heard. We had gone for my celebration because I love Asian food, the decor was much like being transformed into a dinning experience in China, it was beautiful and the seating was packed. We had to wait 30 min for a table. I don't think that they anticipated all the dinners they would have. Now im not sure if their food is cooked the Gordon Ramsey way but it pleased my palate. So we ate the All You Can Eat menu because I wanted to taste everything 😋. The manager came and asked if we were enjoying ourselves which was very nice because most managers do not show interest in customers and he told us that they have three kitchens that served fried food, one served soup and the other served the rolls or something like that. But you will enjoy soup, seafood, sushi rolls 58ll your belly is full. I enjoyed it and will be back.
Alright, folks, listen up. I've found a place in Irving that's not just a sushi restaurant, it's a full-on culinary adventure with a robotic co-star. Japan House is a sushi lover's paradise, offering an all-you-can-eat experience so vast you'll need a game plan. The menu is a tome of deliciousness, with so many options that even the pickiest eater will find their new favorite roll. The ambiance is top-notch. The private seating and authentic Japanese decor made us feel like we'd been transported across the Pacific, a welcome escape from the usual hustle and bustle. But the real star of the show wasn't a dish, or even a chef. It was Bella. Bella, for those not yet in the know, is a dessert-delivering robot, and she is an absolute icon. She glided to our table with a tray full of ice cream, and the entire family was mesmerized. It was a perfect, whimsical end to a fantastic meal. The sushi was fresh, the service was impeccable, and the dessert was delivered by Bella the robot. What more could you possibly ask for? In short, if you're looking for an all-you-can-eat sushi feast with a side of futuristic fun, Japan House is your spot. Just be prepared to fall in love with a Bella the robot.
I can’t express enough how fantastic this restaurant is. The food is the freshest I have ever been served. The sushi is fresher than what I’ve had at a Michelin 2 star restaurant. The staff are incredible. Ask for Victoria every time. The Owner Zach is wonderful person and so hospitable. I would recommend this restaurant until the day I die.
I enjoyed an amazing sushi buffet lunch for just $22! The food was incredibly tasty and fresh, with a wide variety of options that left me completely satisfied. The service was outstanding—fast, friendly, and attentive, making the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for a delicious meal and top-notch service!
Fantastic Food, Warm Atmosphere, and Outstanding Service at Japan House in Irving I recently visited Japan House in Irving, Texas, and had an excellent dining experience from start to finish. The buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, flavorful Japanese cuisine, with a standout being the incredible smoked salmon prepared by Zach, the manager. It was perfectly seasoned, tender, and absolutely delicious—easily one of the highlights of the meal. Zach has clearly created a warm, welcoming environment in the restaurant. You can feel the pride he takes in the food and the atmosphere, and it reflects in both the presentation and the overall vibe of the place. To top it off, our server Jason went above and beyond. He was professional, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. It’s rare to get this level of service at a AYCE-style restaurant, but Jason made it feel like a high-end experience. While a few items on the menu were temporarily unavailable, everything else was exceptional, and we left full and happy. Highly recommend Japan House for anyone looking for amazing Japanese food, a cozy environment, and five-star service.
I absolutely love this place! The food is top-notch, especially for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Our server, Hugo, was fantastic. He was super patient with us and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our meal. He even made some great suggestions when we needed them. We’ll definitely be back for the food, the atmosphere, and the vibe. It’s a great spot!
Pretty solid spot overall, especially if you are in the mood for a lot of sushi without totally sacrificing quality. It is not perfect, but if you know what to order and what to skip you will leave pretty happy. First off if you are planning on drinking definitely get the sake bomb special instead of ordering sake and a beer separately. it ends up being like 40 percent cheaper that way and you are getting the same thing in the end. Food wise this place does a solid job for an AYCE spot. The fish quality is actually really good which is usually the biggest gamble with all you can eat sushi. The cuts were fresh and didn’t taste fishy at all and the rolls came out consistent every round. That alone makes it worth coming back. The beef ribs were the one letdown for me. They were a little too fatty and heavy so after a couple bites I was kind of over them. Not terrible just not something I would keep reordering when there are better options on the menu. Service is where things could improve. It was not bad but it definitely was not very attentive. There were a few times we were waiting longer than we should have to order another round or get someone’s attention. You are not ignored but you do feel like you have to work a bit for it which is not ideal when you are trying to enjoy yourself. One cool and unexpected touch was seeing the little robots rolling food out to certain tables. It does not replace the service issues but it was still fun to watch and kind of added to the experience in a weird way. Overall Japan House AYCE is a good option if you are craving sushi and want decent quality without breaking the bank. Stick to the fish skip the beef ribs order the sake bomb and you will have a much better time.
Japan House was delicious. We loved that it's all you can eat, and I appreciate that the portions are smaller so you can try a variety of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, hibachi, udon, ramen, and more! There are so many different options and everything was very good. Some of the dishes took quite awhile to come out at first, but then things started to adjust and they would come out more quickly. Zach, the manager, came over and asked us about our experience and if there was anything they could improve. He's very personable and loved hearing feedback.
My wife loves sushi. I do not. Nonetheless, I thought I'd give this place a try. I tried most of the rolls my wife got, and got a couple of my own. My favorites were the caterpillar roll and cowboy roll, but I learned I'm still not a fan of sushi 😅 Even still, there are quite a few non-sushi options! The tempura shrimp was excellent, and the pork buns and ribs were good too. The fried rice was subpar, but tasted better after I mixed in a teriyaki dish. The service was good. They made sure we were always satisfied. The price is reasonable for the type of food. I'd probably go again (for my wife 😁)
So, I've been to a bunch of all-you-can-eat sushi spots around DFW, and honestly, japan house just didn't measure up. I was really looking forward to it, but it fell short compared to places like Sushi Masa, Takara, Umiya and Takumi. The nigiri was kind of a joke—the rice was huge and the fish was tiny, like something you'd see at the grocery store (and I think grocery stores have lower rice to fish ratio). Their selection was also pretty limited. Other places have awesome stuff like scallop and sweet shrimp, but here it was just the basics. Also I am questioning professionalism on waiters, it wasn't even busy on a Sunday, but they took forever to clear our dirty plates. Also ocassionally waiters sent wrong orders to our table. It was pretty surprising, especially since I'd seen all the high ratings in google review. I'm honestly not sure what everyone else is seeing, because this spot just isn't on the same level compare to other AYCE places.
