My server dewaylon was the best server I've ever seen in the fast food industry, he was so bright so energetic and so kind, he gave me everything I asked for, the food tasted so good and I'm really happy with my experience and would definitely go again if he's there, dude definitely deserves a raise or some sort of praise
I am not a regular customer but I have been eating here since I was 10 years old.47 years and the food and the building haven’t changed.Great food and my advice is to take it home.
Absolutely the most amazing LJS I have eaten in a very long time. We used the drive thru because of the pandemic and the staff was very friendly and the speed was service was hands down the best. We had the 12 family meal and they made sure we had plenty of napkins, plates,and utensils. We will definitely be coming back often even though we live over an hour away. We can't wait until they open again to try the weekend buffet.
Sadly there's only a few of these left in my area. I live over off of hulen so of the McCart location is the closest location to my home. That location is probably the reason you see less and less of these. I always go over to the jacksboro highway location because of how great their staff is. The food is consistent. It's great quality but more important than that. The people treat everyone who walks in the door like family. Great experience every single time. There's not enough Bells to ring in that place for how great of a job they do.
Food was super fresh and Vi, the cashier, was very patient as we tried to figure it what to order for our group of 5 people. They made sure the tables were (almost) all clean and the restroom was surprisingly clean as well. We will definitely be bck to this location.
5 stars all around at 3:30 pm on a Thursday. Short staffed with only 2 people while dealing with drive thru , waiting the counter and cooking the food. 2 people ordered 2 piece fish combo, Cole slaw and hush puppies.....cooked fresh..excellent..crispy crust and perfectly done...not overcooked. Love their Cole slaw. Staff members were pleasant and helpful. They deserve the 5 stars. Thank you from someone from out of town. Our restaurants, big and small are facing rising costs and staff shortages. Please treat them with courtesy and patience.
The entire staff was great. It was refreshing to everyone smile and greet you as you walked in. Cordell J. Listened to my order and then repeated it back to me. And then asked if I wanted to add anything else. When my order came up, she showed each item that I had ordered and bagged them up. Once again, she asked me if there was anything else that I needed. When I got home, my food was still hot and tasted great. Going into the restaurant verses going to the drive-thru was a great experience. Meeting good people and getting great food is a winning combination. The LJS brand was represented extremely well by the staff, the service, and the food.

Haven't had this in over 15 years! I'm glad it still tastes the same. Everything was cooked fresh and hot with crisp to perfection. I had the 2 chickens with fries and hush puppies. So nostalgic to me!
Tahitia H. who worked the drive through window, was very professional, cordial and just so sweet ans kind. When someone asks how your day is going so far...she took an extra few minutes to chat with a customer. Excellent customer service. Thank you. Sometimes, people just need a kind face and caring conversation.
Food is good and less expensive for those on a budget. The location is refurbished and brand new.
Update-October 2025. They demolished the old and rebuilt all new. New staff too. Great experience now. Nice drive thru staff, all different people. Clean and nice. The inside was crowded with customers enjoying their experience. PREVIOUS I am fond of this place despite the very bad issues. It is so old and the staff plays around. I once saw kids in the kitchen-like two 6 to 9 year old kids. A family of around 8 in a van were in the back lot at the kitchen door cleaning the van out at night. I am serious! I called the manager the next day, but he did not seem to care, so I doubt it will improve. I don't trust it for cleanliness but I still get one item here.
Food is always fresh, customer Service is wonderful, we go here every other Friday and it's worth the drive!!! Never disappoints!! Just would love them to go back to the original fries instead of waffle fries!

The employees were friendly and welcoming. The place was quiet and we went shortly after they opened. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Parking is limited and not close to front entrance. Drive thru was steady busy. Wonderful time eating there.

Way to go on the new Long John’s! My family was in there about an hour ago getting a large togo order and the service was STELLAR! She was kind, helpful, informed and extremely polite even though they were busy. The food was great! I believe the receipt said her name was Dami but every employee we encountered was wonderful as well. We will be back and she was amazing.

The manager at this LJS's (Jemer) has an outgoing, caring attitude and a wonderful staff. Together, they offer consistently great, friendly service in a clean environment both inside and and out. Their food is always fresh, hot and delicious. As a senior couple, my wife and I really enjoy the LJS experience. We have several choices of restaurants in our area, but we find ourselves returning time and time again to LJS and we often recommend them to friends. Warmest regards, Ray & Betty
I’ve been craving JLS food for a while now. I happened to get off of work early enough today (12/18/25) to stop by. Even though it was 10 mins before close, the staff was friendly and my food was amazing! Thank you for making my day!
Fresh. Brand new - everything! Incredible. It brought back so many memories of my youth and our LJS at home. I know I’m not crazy because my companion was feeling the same way! The theme is there. Yummy LJ flavor. Went for the salmon tacos. Perfect! We also ordered the combo plate w coleslaw- the best!!! And corn which was also delicious. The atmosphere was charming. People were definitely ringing the bell as they left which created a lovely environment as well. We plans to head back - especially when we have a hankering for some cheesecake (from the Cheesecake Factory!)
I have been dining here since I was seven years old and I am now forty-one. I truly appreciate the brand-new location. My mother and I visited during the reopening week, and the manager kindly held the door open for us from the moment we stepped out of the car. The restaurant was spotless and the food was excellent. They provided plenty of crunchies without my even having to ask for extra. The six-dollar basket deal remains a fantastic value and keeps me coming back. I have been a loyal customer for many years, and I appreciate the continued investment in your restaurants and guest experience. However, I would like to share feedback regarding the tartar sauce currently being served. The texture appears oily, the color is noticeably off-white, and the aroma is unpleasant. These characteristics significantly diminish the quality of an otherwise enjoyable meal. Please consider reviewing or improving the tartar sauce recipe. Updating it to a fresher, creamier, and more traditional formulation would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.
Since the remodel, this place has been wonderful! The quality had dipped so we quit going way back. Even before CoVid, we'd stopped trying this place. But, with the remodel they have also brought back quality. I mean, it's still greasy fish, but delicious greasy fish. We've been coming in about once per week and it's been good every time. High recommendation!
Wow! This rebuild is awesome. The place is beautiful and omg the food is amazing. Don't sleep on this. The fish and chicken is the truth! Golden, perfect crispy, and the hushpuppies are the best I've had. Service was fast and very friendly, place was well kept. Check it out.

3/7. Had a good PM crew working today with superb customer service. Team communicates well together. Food tasted great as always! Front of house could use more attention. 👍
We used the drive through, the food was good, as was the service. The problem we had was with the remote ordering system due to the highway noise. We ended up ordering at the window instead. If you have never had the food at a Long John Silvers before, you should know most of their traditional menu is battered and fried. They now have grilled options which are pretty good. My wife likes the chicken there, which I would call batter fried chicken strips. The store is old and has not been updated much, probably since it was new. But I'm fine with that. It is clean, and that is what matters. Give it a coat of paint, replace worn out stuff, and keep it running.
The actual place could use a good cleaning, but that said the building is old. The service is slow. It took about 15-20 minutes to get our food. I must say it was very hot and fresh. It was delicious. The same flavor you're used to having at LJS.

This LJS has been here since we moved to the area in 2002. When we first began going, it was a great restaurant with quick, delicious food and dependable service. Over the last few years the quality of service has gone down quite a bit, and their food is dependable, if they have it. You always have to check your order in the drive through before you leave the store (there's been an inordinate amount of times we were missing sides or sauces we requested), the sodas have been either flat or the syrup calibration was way off. We do hope they can bring this LJS back up to the quality restaurant we have experienced in the past. It's the only one for miles around.
The wait is a bit long, but the food is fresh for the most part. Its pretty good too. The employees are a bit forgetful you gotta remind them a couple times if you ask for extras (which i did not receive). Love the hushpuppies haha. Try their rice bowls also without slaw way better!
The food is actually good, and the flavor hasn't changed at all since day one. I did see that they added more items to their menu, but I stuck with the traditional fried fish, fries, delicious hush puppies, and coleslaw, which is surprisingly very flavorful without being mayonnaisey. I think I just don't like the price, but everything is a little overpriced now days.
New restaurant to my area. Food and service was great. My grandsons first time having Long John Silver’s. They gave it thumbs up!!

We wasn't greeted by the front person. She was nice and soft spoken as we got to the register. Which was different from the last time we went where she just left us when we ordered something she didn't know how to order she walked away. So improvements are good. The manager on duty helped a stranger with food. Very impressive!! Thank you!! Now the food. Just Luke warm on my chicken, which is fine, the flavor really comes through, but I dislike when two are fresh and two are on the verge of over time freshness. You can taste it in the batter. The waffle fries cold. This isn't the first time this happened but right in a row of visits. They put crums/crunches under the main entrée that's Awesome!! You can tell the restaurant is on the verge of looking real bad repair. There was cob webs in the big window. I wonder if the appliances are not warming well?
Food was fresh and very good service was fast order was correct people were friendly only thing I didn't care for was ordered online and went through drive through to pick it up. This was not allowed had to park and wait in line inside to get order.
I have deleted my old review. This LJS has been rebuilt, its news super clean, well lit and the overall experience is a positive. The food quality is definitely light years above what it used to be its fresh, hot and actually delicious. The staff is friendly and efficient, I ordered and my food was out in less than 3 minutes didn't even have time to get a drink. The only down side is the lobby space its limited seating as more people are coming but overall better experience than what it used to be. This is my 3rd visit this week and I will say im am definitely impressed overall. I hope they dont lose the magic.
This is one of Ft Worth's oldest LJS stores. The crew was great. They were friendly and the service was fast. It has been 10 years since I last had Long John Silver fish, it was just the way I remember it was great. I wish they could remodel the dining area. It is old and tired. The parking is kind of weird. The restrooms need attention and a refresh.
The food was good but very very greasy. The bathroom was horrible because I believe they have a sewer problem. Dining room floor definitely needed needed to be mopped entirely. Not exactly what I expected for spending close to $40 for two people.
I've only been here once, so I don't know if this is common here. But they skimped me on my sides. I got green beans and corn as my sides and they gave me like three bites worth. They also forgot my hush puppies and I had to drive back to get them. They didn't put the little crunchy things that the fish and chicken is supposed to go on in the box either.

I don't go to Long John Silvers as much as I used to. My wife and I went almost begrudgingly, however wanted something different. The food was fast and probably because it was a little cold. People were standing around in the kitchen eating in plain sight. I truly hope the restaurant manager or owner reads this. Your restaurant could be so much better.
The way the drive-through is set up at this location, once you're in, you can't get out. Concrete poles block you from leaving the drive-through before the cashier's window.. A guy in an SUV in front of me took a long time to order $35 worth of food, then it took ten minutes for him to receive it. Food was fine. Just don't expect anything to happen fast.
Tried to use their app, it kept crashing. Finally got the order in, arrived at drive thru to pick up only to be told I had to come in to pick up the prepaid order. Once you’re in their drive thru there’s no way out except thru. There’s another car in front of me and it’s taking them 5 to 10 minutes to get their order. Turned off my car, got out and went in only to have rude employee finally give me my food.
I first went to this LJS location back in 1976, since then the in dining experience has declined, the restaurant needs a fresh makeover. I went to pick up my online order and was told I couldn't pick it up at the drive thru window, I found that really inconvenient. Food was good though and I will go back again but this time I will order at the drive thru.

Lovely young lady in the Drive-Thru today very polite attentive got home with the food I'm 10 minutes away fries stale not fresh fish always tasting like it's overcooked therefore dry I truly do miss the old Long John silver's but as for the crew they're very polite

We always loved the Sampler Platter at Long John Silver's and were glad when our local one reopened. However, we were really disappointed in the quality and flavor of the food this time. The batter was soggy, not crisp. The Chicken was tough and tasteless. And my fave, those little crumbles were soft and not crisp at all. A BIG disappointment.
The food was great. The service wasn't We stood at the front counter for 10 minutes. Still no one came to attend us. I had to walk to the back to get someone to come to the front.
The girl in the window was very nice and the food came out fast but one piece of fish was extremely overcooked and dried out, the other was never really confirmed to be chicken or fish??
A little upsetting. Drive thru board was missing parts of whole right side. Cashier was nice and polite, she rang me up then clocked out. I watched as she left while I still waited for my food. Got my food a couple minutes later with a very quick "Have a nice day." It was almost 5 o'clock in the evening. Can we say customer service could use some work?
Our order was fairly simple, 8 pc family fish , hush puppies, coleslaw and waffle fries, and a child’s chicken strip meal, with lots of tartar sauce and vinegar. We sat at window over 20 minutes and had to ask for the tartar sauce and vinegar again. We pulled out since there were cars behind us but only to discover BOTH of our sides were missing and the child’s chicken was instead a piece of fish. We drove back around and waited another 15 minutes for coleslaw, fries and 1 piece of chicken. Food was not its best quality either and we LOVE LJS so that’s hard to say!
Went through the drive through for our order. There was one car ahead of us waiting on their food as we pulled up to order. We waited at least 10 minutes for the car ahead of us and 15 minutes for our own order. We only got two meals. You would also think that if you waited that long then the food must be freshly cooked but you would be wrong. It was all cold somehow. At least we have an air fryer at home to heat the food back up.
The workers were very friendly, it was the food and the service at this location that wasn't very good. Long John Silver is one of my favorite spots to eat, but this location did not pay attention to details, we had a long wait, which was OK, but they undercooked the chicken, and it was hard, and they also forgot to add the coleslaw side that came with the order. You guys can do better! I was very disappointed because I lived so far from this location and I couldn't return for correction because of the distance...
Let's start with ,the hush puppies ,there not corn meal, like they used to be ,second I got my food all that was in the bad was mine and my kids food nothing else, I had to ask for napkins and sauces which should have already been in the bag ,I've worked fast food and my wife is asst mngr of a fast food right by there, so I'm very familiar with the way it should he when the customer gets there food ,employees are not very well trained on proper procedures, only good thing about this location is the new building
We had 3 issues 1. Me and my 3 girlfriends went to the Lake Worth LJS. Kimberly waited on us. Every question we asked she responded with a snarky answer and a disgruntled expression. She needs a job that does not deal with people. She said there was only 2 of them working that day. However, the other young girl, Madison was a delight. She had a smile that would light up the room. She was very, very sweet. She was very accommodating. You need more employees like her. We would never go back to that location as long as Kimberly was there. We had a terrible experience. 2. Another issue was the wraps, when my friend received hers, the wrap was cold. 3. And last, the pepsi was only carbonated water. We first asked Kimberly, she said she'd fix it, 15 minutes no change. We finally mentioned it to Madison and she got right on it. She is such a gem. You're lucky to have such an employee.
Service has been horrible in the past. Today, we couldn't order there because the register wasn't working, so the store was closed (for several hours). Tried to speak to an employee there to ask a couple of questions. He barely answered one question because he said he worked in the back of the store. He definitely could have been more helpful. Had to explain to my toddler daughter why she couldn't get lunch at that location. Store could use a major aesthetic overhaul. Still hoping for a better future visit. Fingers crossed.
The staff is friendly but the food took forever and it was sitting on the counter for 20min so i got it cold eating there. The bathroom is all destroyed like someone trying to jailbreak. I remember when the old ladies were working there before the pandemic. They were sweet and caring . It felt like a mom and pops type of restaraunt. Bring that back. My order was missing 1 fish but i didnt complain cause i was so down by this restaraunt, i didnt have the energy to even complain.
I ordered delivery, had the chicken, fries, hushpuppies and coleslaw. I don't know if it's because its a Friday but everything was very greasy, and overly salted, everything tasted the same..it isn't a good meal at all. I'd recommend a different place. However, the coleslaw is about the only edible thing.
UPDATE: 17 Sept. 2022 - must be different manager? They actually gave me REFRIED FRENCH FRIES!!! They were brown & tasted burnt..they did replace with perfect ones but still... I decided to become a patron of Captain D's instead. OLD REVIEW: The ladies there were fast & efficient... Friendly too. Food was very good.
Waffle fries were so hard that you couldn't bite them. Chicken was the size of your finger. Had more crisps then clams. I tried calling but couldn't get an answer. Was a real let down
If I could I would give this place negative stars. I’ve watched this place have a line of cars and figured I’d try this food. Today I purchased 2 tacos and a salmon platter. Both of which had shrimp in them. I drive all the way home to attempt to enjoy my meal. Long story short my shrimp were half way cooked on both the taco and the platter. Now I am sick to my stomach and do not know what to do. I’ve never had this happen to me before. I was advised by friends to take the food back and request a refund. This is ridiculous. The manager gave me a refund and apologized. Thank you for understanding.
Well, I can't say I got to eat anything. Waited in line 40 min.with 5 cars ahead of me before, I got to try n order. That took 6 min.for someone to say, I'll be right with you. Another 10 min.later no one came to take my order. Finally, a few cars pulled up 1 left. No escape at LJS. They have blockage to keep you from leaving. You have to stay till you get to the window. My truck was 1/4 tank less by the time I left there. Finally, I made it to the window about an hour into this ungodly process. Was going to tell the girl the issue, but she was too busy with her back to the window 8 ft.from the window talking to a guy. Sat there another 5 min.decided she's not gonna stop talking, so I left. To make things worse, I have no ac in my truck. Fun times !
First walked up to the front doors. Both were locked. As we were proceeding to go somewhere else as we should of, a lady starts to unlock the front door. As soon as my feet hit the floor it sticky. The whole restaurant was sticky and absolutely unsanitary. The who I'm assuming was a manager screamed at the young lady to come up front to take our order. Mind you I had my blind mother in law with me so things are already a challenge when we get to do things like this "eat out". As we proceed to order the young lady was doing the best she could but I could barely hear her. There was so much goofing off in the back that's all you could hear as we placed the order. I proceed to sit my mother in law down, so u could gather are condiments and lids for our drinks. The floor just got even more sticky as you walked further in the restaurant to the soda station, which was absolutely disgusting, pored our drinks thinking just get your money back and leave, but I know the restaurants can have there challenges these days keeping staff. So I was trying to be understanding also didn't want to have to go through the trouble of asking for a refund etc. I went to get the lids and condiments and just by this point I'm blown away at how disgusting that was. The tarter sauce was wrapped with cling wrap and left there overnight. I felt of the metal pan. Looked like someone didn't put all away and again disgusting. I had to ask for packets of sauce because it was bad. Food came and one bite of slaw on my plate which was fine because it legit tasted really bad. The rest of the food was so greasy. Always loved going here. To bad its gone down hill tremendously
I was craving long John's and I walked in and it smelt like sewer in there. The floors and walls were disgusting as well as all the tables. There was ceiling tiles missing. The place is rundown! The bathroom is just as nasty. I will not be eating from this location.
The location is close to our house so we don't want to see it closed down. We love the taste of the food. We would love to see 3. improvements but Please, please, please fix the horrible sewer smell. You smell it the minute you walk in the door. My husband injured his back so car rides are painful. So, We decided to eat in, to give him a break from the car. I needed to eat fish today for health reasons, So LJS was an obvious choice. The taste of your fish can't be beat. The food tasted great and portion size was generous and restuarant was clean But 3 main issues. 1. The sewer smell by the front door almost made me vomit. If you could put Some kind of odor remover plus lemon room deodorizer that sprays ever little bit to cover the odor till it gets fixed would be superb. We sat farther away from the front door by the tartur sauce, shrimp sauce, catsup and napkin shelf and it wasn't very noticeable there. 2. it is very hard to tell if the resturant is open from Jacksboro Hwy 199. It really looks closed so we drove through drive thru to make sure it was open, and when he welcomed us to LJS I explained we just wanted to make sure they were open. Then we parked and went in. Maybe a lit up "open" sign you can see from the road would be helpful. 3. Worker had to leave cash register and go to kitchen to work so we had to yell into kitchen to ask for a to- go box and bag as I couldn't finish my 2 piece . Worker was very nice and stayed calm the entire time.
This place used to be awesome. I went there recently ordered chicken planks and hush iuppues with fries. I got oily fish no batter was disgusting. So I drove through again replaced the what I ordered drive home opened the box was 🤮. Chicken had no batter was a greasy mess only things edible was the hush puppies. I put a complaint on LJS website not a reply. NOTHING Won’t be going there again.
Look I don’t like to dope on people we are working to make ends meet but the owner of this place needs to be visited by public health services. The smell when you enter turns your stomach. I’ve used the drive thru in the past but the line was long so I tried to out smart everyone and walk in. I’m glad I did because I’ll NEVER order food from Thai place again and recommend you walk in for yourself before ordering from here again. There’s no way in hell they’re passing the health inspection with the smell in the look of this place j
The food (once we got it) was good. But.. The place is Very old and run down, it sucks when you walk in. We were the only people there. When our food was ready and sitting in the window for 5 mins, I watched the only 2 guys working there in the back making the drive thru order WITH NO GLOVES ON and kept telling me they would be right with me. Now there is another Woman here while we eat. Then a younger guy comes out of the back of the place and looks like he has been sleeping. He has on pull up shorts, a white t shirt, slider shoes, hair is a mess and yawning.
It was Terrible they messed up my order first,Then the food was Greasy and Bland tried calling the Store the Manager was Rude and Argued that the food couldn't be that way they made it fresh even the vegetables were even bad, they would not offer a refund unless I went all the way back and they inspected the food and then they would decide if they could refund my money. If you are thinking of going JUST DON'T SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TASTE BUDS.
Arguably the best thing to come out of this location in over 20 years is them finally leveling the building. Once upon a time, I really enjoyed their food, team, and the fun atmosphere. Sadly, those days have long passed. A new building might look better, but unless something changes behind the counter; better food quality, improved service, and stronger management, it’ll be the same disappointment, just dressed up in a shiny new shell. My expectations are low, but I guess we’ll see. Time will tell if this reset is more than just cosmetic.
Waited over 20 minutes to get our food . (Dine in) then they gave us our food, we asked the guy why did they give us a little bit of rice , he said “ we were running low on rice”. He could of told us that when we ordered. It’s ridiculous to pay 10 dollars for a small portion of rice. We asked for a refund. We’ve been to other locations and they look nothing like that!!! The lobby is dirty, flies everywhere. The person who took our order looked very tired and sweaty 🥵…
When entering restaurant first thing you smell is sewer smell is nasty..food is also nasty tasteless greasy
Food was terrible. It was hard like it had sat under a heat lamp for too long.
I just left to place and the food tasted horrible. Worst experience ever. Should have left it the way it was.
I love Long John Silvers but this location is really lacking 🙁 Service was not friendly at all, the cashier didn’t seem to know what she was doing (maybe she was new?), took a bit longer than usual to get my food, the inside was dirty. I was trying to use a coupon and the cashier didn’t know how and it took way too long to get my order completed. As I walked away to a table I could hear the cashier and next customer making rude comments about how long it took to get my order rang up. As if I have nothing better to do than stand around all day trying to use a coupon to order some chicken! Ugh. The floor was super sticky and I can’t stand the feeling of my shoes sticking with every step. The food was not bad, but not as enjoyable because of the overall experience. The supervisor who was working in the back, with super long acrylic nails, was just as rude. I would not recommend this location.
Where do I even start. Walk in the door and the sewer smell was overwhelming. I would have left but my Hubby had forgot his wallet and ran home to get it. I had filled out a survey and was rewarded with a free fish and fries if I purchased a large soda. I was using my mobile app because no cash on me. I could not find the fish and fries on menu and the man had no idea how to do it either. I asked him if I just added the large coke if he could give me the free items he said yes. I did and paid online. He then said I owed him for the soda. I said no I paid for it like we agreed. He said no you have to get a refund. I then asked for a corporate number , he said they don't have one. After back and forth he finally gave me the prepared food. Walked over to fill drink and get tartar sauce and it was very dirty and a big dead roach too. The vent in the ceiling was falling and very yucky. This restaurant needs some serious work and employees that aren't so messed up they can comprehend. The food was good even though it was no longer hot. We usually just use drive through and after seeing the inside I think this will be are last visit.
First off the kiosk was out of order and no sign on it, allowed me to place an order but wouldn’t allow me to pay. So had to wait for an employee to cash me out, then I Waited 25-30 mins for my 3 piece chicken meal and a side of cheese bits. The group I was with ordered my food at the same time, they were done eating by the time I got my food. Workers were joking around in the back. When I asked how long on my food (15 mins after ordering) they said (we just got the chicken down) what the hell were you doing the 15 minutes prior? Waste of time and def wouldn’t recommend coming here!
For one yo expensive waited in drive through 15-20 minutes before line moved. I get home missing shrimp I called and they wanted me to drive all the way back for 3 pieces of shrimp seems like I was telling her how to run her crew. Taking orders and filling them is like copy and paste it’s not rocket science they need to improve in that area to make sure the customer have what that paid for
