I get the Managers Special half Ruben sandwich on swirled Rye and a cup of seafood gumbo. The Ruben is piled high with lean corned beef and sauerkraut - best Ruben ever! The gumbo is well, rich and robust New Orleans style. The best gumbo this side of the Mississippi. All fresh quality ingredients served hot. Absolutely delicious. Best part is, it's consistent, always the same good rich flavors every time. Yum!

This is the best Jason’s Deli in Austin. I eat here every Sunday with my church friends. The service, food and atmosphere, compared to other stores, is unparalleled.

Wow what a great experience that I never thought I would have at a Jason's deli. Kirwen and Tara were moving back and forth through the kitchen helping customers dine in and drive thru. Giving them along with myself a great experience! Food came out perfect and just as I ordered with little delay. The crew on shift was busting their tail I could see they were busy but that didn't detour them from executing their job to perfection. Kirwen and Tara are the leaders you want and are hard to come by these days. I will definitely make this a regular lunch spot!

Still the best restaurant to get a salad. Most variety. Only missing the angel cake from decades ago. The single worst decision in company history.

I haven’t been in a Jasons Deli in a long time - well - my mistake. Having food allergies is no fun - but the folks at Jasons just take it in stride and are extremely helpful! We asked how they bake their potato- what they put on it before baking etc (makes a big difference to me) and with A LOT of pride they tell us how they do it 😁 - Okay - so I can have a baked potato here ... It’s not under cooked- super creamy center - love it! Just seconds after we sat down - one of their staff came over and offered to get me something else - anything they could get from their refrigerator and they would make sure there would be no cross contamination- I about cried 😁... My husband orders the Reuben Sandwich - the thing is HUGE! It could have its own zip code. Hubby says it was delicious - meat was great - they don’t skimp on meat or sauerkraut- nicely toasted bread ... some chips ... plan on taking half with you 😂... I will definitely be returning to Jasons Deli - what a great overall experience.

Amazing food and service! One of the best experiences I’ve had while dining. I got the salad bar and a cup of their seasonal Beef stew (which was delicious! please keep it all year round!!) and my husband got a beefeater which is his new favorite and gets it every other day now! We visited Jason Deli in Lakeway and was blown away by the exceptional service from start to finish. From the friendly cashier to the attentive food runner, every member of the staff was kind, helpful, and competent. Even the guy in the back who offered seat boosters and the lady who cleaned the tables were some of the nicest and most helpful people I've encountered in any business since 2020. It's refreshing to see a beautiful joint like this maintain such a high standard of service, especially in these difficult times where many businesses are struggling to keep a good team. I must also add that the ice cream was the perfect finishing touch to an already amazing experience. Kudos to the moral and hardworking people at Jason Deli - we are lucky to have them in our neighborhood!

Love this place, so glad we have one out here now!!! The manager is lovely, she walks the floor making sure everything is all good for you. No other deli has ever provided that service. The food is always on point, even late at night, like 10 minutes before closing received the same service and fresh food. It's my favorite go to place to eat since they opened. Oh and GLUTEN free breads that actually taste very good. Great job guys! ⭐

Great chili, NO beans (as it should be). While sandwiches are pricey, the fillings are generous. Love the salad bar. If you fill up the to go container, you can squeeze out at least 2 meals. Love their cranberry oatmeal walnut cookie!

One of my favorite places for lunch & dinner. Huge selection of food to pick from -- Fresh sandwiches, soups, pastas, a salad bar... Oh and don't forget the free ice cream! The restaurant is kept clean and it's always a pleasant experience between the service and the food. I highly recommend the California Club!

I was so happy they have dine in eating. Also the salad bar it's open once again. You get what you want in one trip to the salad bar. I loved it. The best deal to buy your salad is when you buy the manager special with salad bar. You get a half sandwich, chips, and salad bar for less than $9. If you just want the salad bar, it's about $9. with taxes. Better deal is with manager special.

So glad to have Jason’s in Lakeway. We love their Southwest Breakfast Wraps which are not on the regular menu. We preferred the old egg pucks but they switched to fresh eggs which is wonderful, but the egg comes fried. Today we asked the assistant manager if we could have our scrambled and she made them herself. Best ones we ever had. And she made them with a smile. This will become one of our favorites places because of the fresh delicious food and great service. And of course the free ice cream!

Everything was great, including the ice cream lol. Roast beef was substituted to Pastrami, but good either way. Will definitely return.

Great food, super clean and excellent service. I left my invisalign on the table while getting my free ice cream cone and the table was bussed when I got back. I panicked and went up to the counter where one of the kids told me he found them and put them aside knowing somebody would come looking for them. Call me happy.

Jason's Deli is always amazing. The only thing they need to work on is their app when it comes to selecting an address for delivery. That part is kind of a pain and I had to call the store to let them know exactly where they needed to deliver. Other than that, their food and their services amazing. Definitely recommend. As a matter of fact I don't think they've ever gotten an order wrong.

We had a large knife throwing group in town and we ended up at Jason's for dinner. It was great! The stage staff was fast and accurate with our many orders. The food was amazing with large portions for a good deal. And the salad bar puts all other salad bars I've been to to shame!

This is my first time visiting Jason’s Deli. It was recommended to me by a coworker. I was having a rough day so I headed over here before work and the staff were super friendly. Dude with the long hair and beard, I never caught your name but thank you! I ordered the bigger better BLT, and I gotta say this sandwich was huge. I should’ve taken a picture of it. It was loaded with bacon and it had a fried egg and avocado spread and the bread was multigrain. I didn’t know I needed a BLT with a fried egg. Perfect for me since I do a physically demanding job. The service was quick. Took me longer to eat that monster of a sandwich than it did for them to make it. Also the hibiscus tea is really nice too. as of the time I wrote this review we’re experiencing pretty high prices on food and the sandwich was worth every penny, not nearly as expensive as someplace like Subway or Jimmy John’s. I appreciate you guys and I will be coming back for more of those BLTs.

Jason's manager special has always been a good value, but even more so in current times I think. We are regulars at this location because we believe it's a solid value.

Staff is nice. I would change where take out and ordering station are. The majority of the time, take out is on a rush and disregard others that are ordering. I have been interrupted several times while ordering. I like dining there but it won't be my first choice because of it. I try to avoid stressing out. Thus, I avoid places where I can potentially be stressing.

I had their carrot cake with cream cheese icing, very good. I usually get the manager's special, which is a cup of soup and a half sandwich. Very consistent in food quality plus you can get free ice cream. Yum

We visited Jason’s for lunch today. When we were last in about a month ago, the ice cream maker had stopped working. It was still not working today. We always get a trip to the salad bar. Today there was no yummy fruit salad, no little dishes for extra items and we had to eat with a plastic fork. Whoever supervises this store should have a heart to heart with the manager.

I was so happy when they built a Jason’s Deli in Lakeway. It expanded the limited “quick pickup” locations and brought a place where a family can sit down to eat. Since its opening, I’ve had several very good experiences using the app to place and order and the drive thru to grab the order, on the go. The weekend before last I decided to bring the family, while on an outing in the area. I wish I would have stuck to the drive thru. The inside of the location had three other families, so we got in line and placed an order for dining in. My wife ordered the salad bar so we took our number and proceeded to the table. We passed several dirty tables, which I understand if the location is busy, but we were literally the fourth customers in the entire location. We waited for our order, and the salad bar for about 10 minutes when we walked up to the counter to inquire about a plate for the salad bar. We were told that the plate would come out with the order. After 10 more minutes of waiting, my order was brought to the table, but no salad bar plate. We returned to the counter and finally were given a plate. Now, I get it...if it’s busy the tables will get dirty and food may take longer. However, a salad bar plate taking over 20 minutes? All I ordered was a sandwich and I felt it was quite extensive to wait that long as well. I’m guessing Saturday staff is not the A list team. All in all, I like the food and MAY continue to go to the drive thru, but I seriously doubt I would return to dine in.

The food is always good. The Lakeway venue is a bit dark as there aren’t enough windows compared to other stores. Something about the lighting is just a bit dim. The water in the ladies restroom is a bit too warm.. Moms: watch out for the water. Getting ice? Be very careful not to get soda and water too! Too close to other spouts.

This used to be a very good experience for me here, but it seems like if you make an order with the app you are not a priority and the time of when your order will be ready is almost never at the promise time. Constantly I have to wait , at minimum, 20 to 30 plus minutes past quoted time of ready. It's basically making an order that they will not start until you show up for it. I don't understand the reason if the app if my wait time is the same and at times even more than if I just showed up and made the order then. Very dissatisfied!

They want you to tip at a cafeteria style restaurant before you get your food. My potato came out undercooked and the person behind the counter was a tad rude about it.

So my family and I have eaten here a total of 5 times after moving here just 3 months ago. Out of those 5 times our order has been wrong twice. Last time waited 20 mins in the drive thru for 2 sandwich’s. Both of them made wrong. Receipt was correct. After I had to ask for a receipt.

Went through the drive thru for the 3rd time. The person taking the order was the best part of the experience. The guy @ the window was not professional, was short answered and very vague in directions. After being told to pull around it still took 18 minutes to bring out my food. I walked inside and the drive thru manager is joking with his guys, they are horse playing in the kitchen. The line to order is 6 deep and then to top it off when they bring the food the water bottles with the order are on top of sandwiches making them cold & squishing them. A overall bad experience and every time has been worse than before.

We ordered on line, they added in delivery fee, I guess not free any longer for over $25, and gave a good tip. Order was missing an item- they said I can come pick it up, they do not bring it back. We are less than 10 minutes from location. They wanted to give me .99 cents for the chips. I will not order from them again.

Honestly? Just dont waste your time. Everyone working there seemed to have no idea what was going on, the food was mediocre and the place was not clean. And at the risk of sounding like a hippie there was just a weird vibe.

Got a brisket potato it was so saturated in BBQ sauce it ruined the potato. The chicken and wild rice soup was good though.

My daughter has a peanut allergy. We have been going to Jason’s for years without a problem. On Mother’s Day, we went to the new store in Lakeway. As usual, we inform the cashier of our daughters allergy and they make sure the food prep is handled correctly by cleaning the surface and using clean knives. Long story short, they must have used a dirty knife because her lips blew up like a balloon. We got to spend the next 2 hours in the Emergency Room doing her with Benadryl and observing her in case she went into anafalactic shock. We told the cashier and the “traveling trainer” who both gave us a stupid smile and tried to tell us that by laying down a layer of parchment between actually making a PB&J and my daughters sandwich was Jason’s protocol for handling food allergies. They didn’t even call the manager in duty to alert him/her of a potentially deadly situation. Thanks for the awesome Mother’s Day memories Jason’s!

Getting food seems to be their second job. Poor management as he seem to direct nothing. It took them forever to prepare my food. When I complained the manger asked me not to come back. If he had a have a brain he would learn from the criticism.

I ordered a club Royale, as I walked away someone returned a club Royale, I watched the staff give me the same club Royale after someone had it at their table. I confronted the staff about the situation and they denied it. I could not stomach eating someone else’s sandwich. So I threw away the sandwich and and left the building. No refunds or anything. This will be my last experience with Jason’s Deli

Kim the supervisor on duty hung up on me when she couldn’t resolve the money Jason’s Deli have of mine. She can’t refund or get the food I paid for to me as they don’t have it even though their app shows as available food to buy. Meatball sandwich did not have marinara sauce as it was supposed too. Dry meatballs with some cheese. It was not eatable. Plain Jane potato didn’t have butter or sour cream. Food was cold. Worse yet, delivered food was missing 2 items plus tax and delivery cost. They didn’t tell the dasher, closed out the ticket as their equipment is broken and so they can’t let anyone know they can’t provide the prepaid food. They kept the money and made no effort to notify door dash they did not provide the food. No customer service recovery and my loss of 2 items worth of money and $36 of uneatable food that will have to be purchased somewhere else. No manager on duty although I was told Kim was the manager only to have her say she is just a supervisor and not a manager so she can’t do anything. Terrible experience and they just kept the money. Should be negative stars. Pass on this disaster of a restaurant.

3/2024 update: Just don't use the restroom, and you'll be ok - you may not get what you ordered, but you'll at least have your olfactory senses intact to enjoy whatever they brought you!!! The restroom now smells like vanilla-scented raw sewage! I tried to hold my breath for my time in there tonight (to no avail), but I literally went back out to get another breath before I returned to wash my hands. Something's seriously wrong with their septic/waste water system, and no one is apparently going to do anything about it except to cover it up with a deodorizer. Health department needs to be called, seriously. And AGAIN, our order was wrong, and it was wrong the time before last week's (FYI: last week it was correct - nearly a first for the 2024 year - just saying). And yes, we've gone here fairly regularly because my mom wants the ice cream, and no, I haven't updated this in quite a few trips. If my mom didn't request going here, I'd absolutely never ever EVER eat here! And add a zillion more never ever 's about using the restroom. Seriously, this is a Health Department issue that's being ignored! 1/2024 update: Yay, restroom smell improved (thank you, mgmt, for responding!) - added a star! My elderly mom continues with her request to visit Jason's, as she loves the soup and ice cream! I feel torn every visit: either an order is incorrect, or I frown because of the higher cost vs another place when we alternate visits, or we get crumbs of chips (as though from the bottom of the bag), or the booths mom would want aren't cleared, etc. It's hard to admit, but there "always" seems to be something "negative" when we visit Jason's (and that saddens me - I wish it wasn't this way). I *must* say, a consistent POSITIVE is this one worker there - I need to learn her name: She primarily speaks Spanish, she refills the salad bar, she delivers food to tables, etc. She's literally my favorite aspect of all visits to this Jason's Deli! If I could direct my tip to my favorite employee, it would be to her, just saying. Additional info - Mom & I both got cups of lobster bisque this visit: We collected the lobster bits from both of our cups and didn't even fill 1 soup spoon! Maybe there was a piece or 2 more, because I suggested we do this after a few spoonfuls as she commented on how much potato and corn was in it ("where's the lobster?"). 11/2023 update: been only 1x this month. Must say, I'm happier with the other place we now go more often, but we went to Jason's for a change of pace. Tonight, Trey saved the day (thanks Trey!), correcting 1 of our orders. Getting our order wrong has become consistent - I think we're at 3 consecutive visits. I'm attaching a pic of Amy's Turkey-O. I was really surprised (disappointed) at it's size for the cost. Lobster chowder: good flavor; a good order if you enjoy corn and potatoes. Yay for the ice cream machine to be working! The most horrific part of our visit was the restroom! I would choose an overfilled port-a-potty in direct sun in the heat of a Texas summer before using this restroom again...no joke! 10/2023 update: Didn't want to update the time before because of one bad experience (thinking it was a fluke). However, I am updating this time because of negative experiences in the past 4-5 weeks. Previous time, our food sat so long that hot sandwiches were cold; it wasn't busy. Ice cream machine wasn't working (things happen, we understand). This time: ordered something different, but hold/no tomatoes (I'm allergic). Not only did it come with tomatoes, but first they just pulled them off. Hello, I would've done that myself; an allergy is an allergy! Seriously SMH at the retaliation... potato chips crumbs! Geez, it was almost like saying "we don't care about your allergy, you should've picked them off yourself. Because you complained, here, have the crumbs!' Mom's order came out cold, but we didn't dare say anything. Conversation was hard with a lot of cackling and loud voices from the kitchen area. At least she got her ice cream. If my mom didn't like this place so much, I wouldn't return.

Food great as usual, atmosphere not so friendly, female manager at 11am exhibits attitude of I'm watching you. Accusing me of taking to much at one visit salad bar, from now on I'll satisfy my Jason's craving at all of the other locations, and lots of choices in Lakeway. Update to last review, ALL OTHER JASON'S THE BEST, last time at Lakeway location, don't need the aggravation.

I writing this review as I am still sitting in my vehicle after having waited over 45 minutes. I've seen dine-in and drive-thru customers come and go. I understand hardships of staffing and demand, but this is poor management of prioritizing orders. Most times this place is fine. Today, Huge fail.... **update, I entered at 7:30 pm to find the dining room empty and all staff, including the manager, working the drive-thru. My order was still not ready, so I canceled and left after the manager was very curt and expected me to wait longer. I won't be returning. Schlotzsky's is just down the road and is very fast, clean, and friendly.
