Great food and fair prices! The only negative thing I could say is they were out of the two beers we wanted, but the view from the rooftop more than made up for it.

This place is the hole in the wall that you want to step thru! It’s a combination of the dive bars that I frequented in my late teens and early twenties from an atmosphere point of view and a 4 star restaurant. The food is outstanding and the staff very friendly. If I lived in Saranac Lake, I would go there 2-3x a week. EXCELLENT gluten free options to boot!

M
Maria Bellavia

I was really impreessed with theor memu and the quality of the food. Even the side salad that came with our fried pickle appetizer was delicious. The only dosh weren't big on was the chipotle-bbq pizza (we felt the bbq flavor was a bit too overpowering), everything else was well done. They also offer gluten and vegan alternatives for nearly every dish on the menu

J
Julian Corpus

Bitter & Bones has an extremely helpful and attentive staff and excellent food. The menu boasts several gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan alternatives. The BBQ Flatbread on a gluten free crust was transcendant; the bitters burger came with a toasted bun, the BBQ sauce and toppings added delightful texture, and was delicious. The accompanying fries were well seasoned and delightful. The staff provided refills without prompt and were extremely courteous.

I forgot what exactly I had, some steak with beans thing. It was probably the best meal I've had in the Adirondacks. Absolutely fantastic. I can't say enough. We'll be back.

From entry a superb, authentic atmosphere. It shows a lot of a care has been put into the place, including the food, which was consistently delicious, fresh and thoughtfully curated. The service was super friendly and adaptable. A lovely stop on our visit upstate from NYC. Thanks!

Friendly bar and wait staff. Smoked Buffalo wings, fried pickles, fish tacos and burger were all awesome. Plus they had the state park service bear cam going above the bar.

Good eats, service on point. We dig variety of wings and fish tacos.

Burgers are excellent, homemade chips are a must and the beer on tap was cold and hoppy. The bar area was packed and they were still able to get my wife and I seated in around 10mins. Service was fast and attentive. Would recommend stopping here while in the Saranac Lake area.

We found this place online and thought it sounded okay, but it far exceeded our expectations. We shared a Bitters Burger with the 39 Bravo upgrade. It has all the juicy, beefy goodness a burger should have and they are generous with the French fries, which are perfection. We split a small order of the Brussels sprouts. They were cooked to perfection and were accented with lemon, walnut, pecorino Romano and a balsamic reduction. Delicious. My husband had the Irish stew which was hearty and flavorful. He followed it up with smoked buffalo wings which were very good but he loves wings, so he thinks they’re all the best he ever had, which was his assessment of these. Husband also enjoyed several of the house beers (much pickier about beer than wings). He was impressed with each of the beers he tried.

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of checking this place out while in Saranac Lake for an appointment. The food and service was top notch! I had some wings for an appetizer and they were cooked to perfection! Nice and crispy! I ordered a Buffalo Burger with fries and I was in heaven after one bite of that burger! It was phenomenal. The fries were fresh cut and cooked perfectly as well, another home run. I have nothing but praises, and can't wait to go back!

We were a little taken aback at the ambience when we arrived. It looked more like a bar than a place that served decent food. However, we're really glad we stayed. All our party (four) enjoyed their entrees immensely. Well done!

J

Rustic atmosphere with great staff. They have a great selection of beef & cocktails and some of the best food I have eaten. I could recommend Bitters & Bones enough.

I’ll admit I we were genuinely surprised by Bitters and Bones — everyone who worked there was friendly, they offered to seat us at the couches upstairs until a table was ready and helped a 90 year old member of our party up the steps! The fish tacos, flatbread and fish and chips were great, especially the sauces. Vibes on the rooftop were good, and the live music out back was really solid. Local staple spot now, I’d highly recommend.

It was around 15.00h, we had no problem here to have lunch. We didn’t expect the quality, the deliciousness and the quantity. I ordered a Brie sandwich and my partner a hamburger. We only have good words for these fantastic ones. The Mediterranean salad was exquisite. I would come back without any doubt. Congratulations to the chefs!! Very reasonable prices in my opinion, the whole meal including one beer was $43 :)

This restaurant truly hits all the right notes for a fantastic meal out. From the moment we walked in, the service was great – attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely friendly. The atmosphere is a highlight itself. It strikes a perfect balance, feeling both cozy and hip simultaneously. Whether you're looking for an intimate dinner or a lively gathering, the vibe adapts beautifully. And of course, the food! The dishes are clearly designed to be people-pleasing, offering something for everyone. Everything we tried was not just delicious but also beautifully presented. You can tell they put a lot of care into their menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a restaurant that delivers on service, ambiance, and truly great food!

I was in the neighborhood and wanted something good. They did not disappoint. I ordered the fried pickles and the Hawaiian burger. The pickels had the perfect crunch coupled with the spicy dipping sause. The burger had the pineapple grilled. Just perfection. 🤤 I'd drive 5 hours to come here again

Place had great music and cool decor. The beer was really good and the food outstanding. Our server Siaba (hope I spelled it correctly in Galeic lol) was amazing and provided us with great service. Will definitely be back. Highly reccomend.

Amazing Steak Frites. Temperature was cooked perfectly, the fries were nice and crispy and the arugula salad was tasty. Beer and liquor were great prices as well. Staff at the bar was friendly, and it was decently crowded on a Friday night

I've had lunch at Bitters and Bones several times since moving to the area, and each time our service and food was excellent. I love the rooftop seating with a view of Broadway. This is a great place to take out of town guests for a nice introduction to SL.

I will definitely stop here again when in town. A group of us walked in late after the kitchen had closed already, the owner was sitting at the bar and overheard me asked if the kitchen was open. He jumped up and said it was closed but he would go back and make us whatever we wanted! That is top-notch service unmatched! The burgers and beer were excellent and i will come back here whenever I am in town!

Truly special and delicious rooftop dinner tonight at Bitters and Bones. Live music, Bartenders were excellent, food was eclectic and very good, holy cow the fries... Will go again!

S
Sondra

Absolutely surprisingly exquisite food (Mediterranean salad with proper olives, roasted brussel sprouts like caramelized bliss) in an old-west setting of country music on the juke box and the bartender welcoming in each weathered local by name. We came for a round of drinks (beer+whiskey shot special had us feelin' fine), were coaxed into having food because of the vegan Quorn on the menu, and left fat, happy, and wishing we could stay in town.

In on Tuesday July 5th for lunch. We had a chaotic group who arrived in 3 or 4 waves(our poor waitress). Staff didn't miss a beat. Brought food out in waves. Food was excellent. Service excellent. Very accommodating.

We stopped here for dinner after hiking and it did not disappoint! Our Moscow mules were amazing. We got the Chicken flatbread to start which was to die for. Finished with a burger and my boyfriend got the fish tacos! Great atmosphere, highly recommend!

Fun atmosphere, and you could tell the other patrons were having a good time. The food was...OK. I wouldn't recommend the Po boy. It was a log of duck bread, a few shrimp, barely any sauce and some field greens with a PILE of homemade potato chips, which were very tasty. For $14 I expected more shrimp and sauce. I didn't eat the roll and tried to scrape some of the sauce from the bread but there was barely any on it. So, it was a lot of money for bread and chips. The fries and gravy with cheese was fabulously rich and def great for comfort food. I would probably just get that again with some chicken. A friend had some steak flat bread, which looked like it needed a lot more steak and she said it was kind of bland. If they decide to put more meat or seafood on and in the items it would be a stellar place, if they don't they def need to lower their prices; it's not worth it. I wasn't sure about 3 stars, they didn't have 2.5 offered. I would, however, try it again. The waitress was super nice and did a great job. Update: went for breakfast, several yrs later. The meal was delish and reasonably priced. The home fries were super crisp, not soggy and bland. Loved it all. Staff could smile more. Never really got one out of the server, even though we were friendly and upbeat. That needs looking into. Other than that, def will go back for more breakfast. Also had dinner there with another friend. The food is def yummy, and the evening girl was very sweet and friendly. January 2026 update. Stellar! The food is fabo, flavor explosion! Ate their twice this week with different friends. Tried the NY Gyro. Holy nomz, batman! The flavors and the freshness of the veggies. The sauce, the fries. Nomzy! A buddy got the PBJ burger. It was weirdly delish, I mean, PBJ burger!? It works! So good! The servers, Maddy and Brandy, we're terrific. Friendly, kind and smiley. Was a major pleasure eating there. Will def be going back more often...for take away, too! Please, KEEP THE GYRO! IT'S DELISH, and you're the only one in the area I know of who makes one...esp this good!🥳🩷 Great place!

I highly recommend Bitters and Bones. Our group arrived right as the kitchen was closing, but the owner gladly accepted our dinner order, offering a full menu. The Bitters Burger was exceptional and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Thank you very much for an outstanding experience!

The chef is incredible, he NEVER disappoints!!! And if you haven't tried the Brussel Sprouts, what the heck are you waiting for!? Even if you think you don't like Brussel Sprouts, you probably just haven't ever had them cooked right so try them anyway! We always have to order more than one plate, and my kids just DEVOUR them! The atmosphere is just amazing here. Probably my favorite spots in SL!

The crispy Brussels sprouts and the birria are the stars of the menu. Coming from Colorado, the Tex-Mex was an excellent surprise in the New York mountains. The mixed drinks and beer hit the spot as well.

Close to the rail trail or easy off street or street parking.Great bar and seating options. Rustic, comfortable decor. Solid bar and home brewed beer selections. Stopped for breakfast, scratch blueberry pancakes, and looking forward to returning for lunch and dinner.

We were in Saranac for the Eclipse, service was great considering how busy it was, food & drink hit the spot, the music was all themed around the Eclipse. This is a great bar, the locals are very lucky!

Well to my surprise Bitters & Bones isn’t just a restaurant, it’s also brewery (I’ll admit I’m a beer nerd and seek out breweries wherever we go - so this was a bonus find). They have only been brewing there for about a year I was told and are still working out the kinks and settling on their standard beers. I had the amber ale and my wife had the blonde - both were well made. I had the fish and chips which were great. It was thinly battered and nice and crispy. The fry’s and slaw were also really good. My wife had naked wings with the Thai Maple sauce on the side - also really good. They are in an old building with several floors and two decks (don’t get lost!). They had a good crowd and were packed on a Wednesday night - all good signs. Worth the visit if you are in Saranac Lake.

M
Michael DeMarchi

Had an excellent time at this place. Very friendly staff. Loooved the Beer & Bourbon special menu, a beer and a shot for one low price. And the burger named after the place was great! Also had lamb kofta and BBQ chicken flatbread. Worth every penny.

We stopped by on our way to a hockey game and this place did not disappoint. Our server was friendly and answered questions. Our food was phenomenal. My husband ordered the bitters burger and I had the gyro. We highly recommend both. The gyro was fresh and so flavorful. Thank you for this little gem!

Fun brew pub/restaurant in downtown Saranac Lake. Plenty of parking at the restaurant and across the street (check out the cool wall murals!) Warm inviting space with a decent sized bar and plenty of seating both upstairs and downstairs. Great cocktail list with seasonal offerings and a beer list with some on site brewed beers (red ale and IPA were tasty). Friendly bartenders and a good sized menu with some cool sandwiches (try the Banh mi!). Poutine was huge and filling, perfect for a cold winter day! Must stop if you find yourself in Saranac Lake

We are visiting from Montreal, and the food here was delicious, the portions were perfect and after a long day of camping this definitely served us right! Fries were perfectly crispy & seasoned. We absolutely LOVED OUR DINNER HERE❣️We made last minute reservations and were accommodated. The ambiance, decor and lighting led to a lovely setting. The staff and other patrons were friendly. This place is so fun... We found this local Gem on a recent trip to the Lake Placid area. The Chips 'N Guac was outstanding and the selection of Craft Beers made onsite were amazing. We visited in the fall so we didn't get to the rooftop patio... We will do that next time.

Experience here was seamless and food was amazing. We tried the tamarind pad Thai with chicken, fish tacos, Hawaii Hawaii wrap, and pad Thai with tofu. All turned out to be delicious. You need to place an order over the phone and pick up food. Overall worth it.

A

Don't let the exterior fool you. Inside is a nice little bar/grill. Homemade French fries are great. Homemade barbecue sauces are all great. Pulled pork Sammy was delicious. Falafel wrap was large and filling, I opted for the add on of chicken in the wrap. All in all a very nice place to eat if what's on the menu is what you're looking for.

J

Went in for a quick bite at 5 pm on a Monday. Food, PERFECT. Portions, PERFECT. The food was very clearly fresh. I asked for medium and received medium. The bun was dense showing me they use better quality ingredients as well. They have a great selection of beer. I chose a local IPA which hit the spot. The staff was friendly and the whole place was clean . The atmosphere was inviting and I WILL be back. Too bad I live five hours away or I'd be there weekly. I've researched a lot about this place and I can see why the community loves it here. A MUST visit.

Amazing food and super friendly staff. Prices were good too. The only weird thing was a bunch of customers bringing in like dozens of children. Are there deep discounts on the kid's menu? Other than that, real good! Will check it out again.

We traveled in from out of town and looking for a lunch place. The reviews seemed promising. Well, we were blown away. The vibe was inviting and the food was surprisingly elevated, , fresh and DELICIOUS. Our waitress was super kind and a pleasure. If we didn’t live 4.5 hours away, we would be here weekly.

D
Dave Donahue

We enjoyed our time here while in the area for this weekend’s Ironman Lake Placid. Certainly not gourmet food, but everything met or exceeded our expectations for a casual brewpub. Prices were reasonable for food and drinks. The chimichurri steak was good and fair for the price. The fried fish tacos were very good. Beers are house made and certainly not top tier craft beer quality, but worth trying for sure. Cocktails were good as well, as was the service. It’s also a fantastic location and vibe outside on the back deck!

Excellent casual dining in Saranac Lake!! It was our first visit but were very impressed with the hustle and professionalism of the young staff. They got slammed with a large group right before our arrival but took care of everyone extremely well! We started our meal with the Fried Pickles which were prepared almost like French fries instead of the more common chip-style. They were very good and accompanied by a spicy aioli. I also ordered a Pink Mist from the seasonal cocktail menu, was a sort of bitter mezcal margarita. It was huge and pretty delicious. For my main, I chose the Bitters Burger. It comes with crispy fried onions, fresh jalapenos, bacon, cheddar, and Bitters BBQ sauce. It was a very good burger! My partner chose the Bahn Mi, she was very happy with it as well. My second round was the Snake Juice, basically a coconut margarita. It was also huge and quite creamy and coconutty. Lastly, we shared the Red Velvet cake for dessert. Not too shabby for a sweet treat. All in all, a great tasting casual meal with super service. Staff were kinda 'underwater' and still remained friendly and helpful!!

Highlight: Chicken wings. Crispy, fresh made wings with a choice of buttermilk or ranch dipping sauce and side of celery Bitters Burger: Charred beef patty, rare on the inside. Waitress didn’t ask us how we wanted our burger done, but the outside was so charred, no one would expect such a rare middle. Toppings: fresh green leaf lettuce, a slice of tomato and fried crisp onions. Delicious. Fries: extra browned with the skins left on. Salmon bowl: Salmon on white rice with sides of charred brussel sprout and kimchi. Recommendation: Try the wings and burgers.

The service was so fast and attentive! The fried pickles were so good, the fish and chips were ok - the batter needed more seasoning. The tartar sauce helped. The fries and coleslaw were good too. My partner had the chicken sandwich which he really liked as well!

Visiting from out of town and love checking out local breweries (specifically to add to my sticker collection). I asked the bartender if they had stickers and she said they normally don’t but one of the other workers sometimes makes his own and will sell them. There weren’t any available that night, but the bartender was kind enough to ask her partner to bring me one of hers from her house! She was so sweet! Thank you taking great care of me! And the beers and wings were amazing!

We just had lunch at Bitters and Bones. It was absolutely delicious. I had the falafel gyro and my husband had the tacos. One of the best lunches I’ve had out in a long time. The staff was super friendly. They also brew all their own beer. We will definitely be taking the short ride from Lake Placid again soon! Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Had a wonderful evening at bitters and bones! The downstairs area has a great vibe. The service/staff was excellent and friendly. We lucked out to some nice live music on a Monday night. Menu is labeled well, lots of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options! Food was fine, but the service and atmosphere made this place stand out. Very glad we stopped in!

1. Food: Whole table loved what they got and their Cheese Steak is amazing. They also had several GF options or ways to make items GF, which was great! 2. People: The waitress was personable and even talked to us about cold plunges after seeing one of our hoodies. Everyone was attentive, polite and checked in to make sure we had what we needed. 3. Timing: The food didn’t take long and we didn’t have to wait for anything. I’ll note we went for Monday dinner and even then the place wasn’t empty. With food and service this good I’ll bet this is a busy place during prime dinning times. 4. Price: 5 of us ate for about $100 and that included trying two of their homemade beers which I’ll recommend for something fun and different. 5. Facility: Yes, it’s a bar style restaurant and has “Bones” in its name, but it has great dinning style seating. The atmosphere was great with Olympic decor in a rustic setting and their table lights were great for reading the menu.

We both had the American burger and it was fantastic! I'm not a huge eater but finished mine off! Cade our server was friendly and attentive. Can't beat the food and service. Environment: well, it's basically a bar downstairs and upstairs is pretty basic with tables and games. However, I'd definitely eat there again for the food & service!

Amazing food and amazing service. My gf and I are some of the biggest fans of fried pickles and this place has got to be in the top 3. Delicious dipping sauce and arugula and onions… OMG they were perfect. The rest of the food was amazing as well but the pickles were the star of the show. If I ever come back to the area we will make sure to come in!

I’ve never had the chance to enjoy breakfast at Bitters until today. What a wonderful experience! The menu is full of breakfast go-to’s but everything is amped up! We went with the French toast which comes with eggs and a TON of crispy home fries! Then we ordered the bacon & egg wrap that was also filled with delicious potato. The portions are generous and we cannot wait to return to try the other options. Also, definitely order the mimosa! Thank you to Josh for the recommendation AND the history on the new breakfast menu. Highly recommend!

My family stopped in for dinner and had a wonderful meal! I drank the Snake Bite while my husband got the kodiac, which we both recommend, and for our meals we had; Tokyo burger, chicken sandwich, quesadilla, blueberry flatbread as well as the wings and pickles. A wonderful dinner for the family, we definitely recommend it!

Our party of four all enjoyed our meal & beverages. The wildflower martini was a treat! We started with the roasted Brussels Sprouts, cooked perfectly and delicious. My meal was the Sweet Onion Chicken Sammy which tasted wonderful. Hubby had the fish and chips which he loved. Another diner in our group had the maple wings and salt and vinegar wings; he said they were some of the best wings he's ever had. Food came out quickly, service was excellent, and we loved the rooftop dining area! We'll be back!!

What a nice find in Saranac Lake. There is plenty of seating inside which was a pub style atmosphere. We chose to sit on the rooftop patio which was a great experience. On the front rooftop they have a bar and bathrooms which was really convenient. You are able to order food on the rooftop as well. We had 6 Thai maple wings, Tokyo chicken sandwich and Moroccan style flat bread. Food was phenomenal, great flavours and portions We had all the local IPA brews from Bitters and Bones. They were all really good and surpassed expectations.

Awesome place to eat & stop for beer. We had tacos with fish and fish and chips and everything was very tasty, good sized portions. Salad that went with tacos could have been more fresh and we were disappointed our doggy didn’t get a bowl of water like in other places. Overall- i will definitely return when I’m back in Adirondacks. Ahh - would forget- service was first class. Nice young gentlemen that was serving us was super nice and professional.

Great local place. Rotating beer selection brewed in-house. Regular-ass bar food, with a couple inclusions (I dig those brussels). Staff is super friendly, and it's quite likely that the owners will recognize you on your next visit. I do wish they had actual bitters on tap, though....

Staying here in this area, after searching online went there for dinner. Place is little tight, they have patio, again vrry limited seating avaible. So staying indoor and ordered food. Harris chicken wings were tasty and chils with guacamole were also good. Then ordered chicken Sammy and chicken tacos. Chicken Sammy was good it came with fries. But chicken tacos were totally Disappointed. Tacos were very greasey, they deep fried the shells and oil literally dripping. They have to fix this . Server and service was good.

Super fun, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly, efficient service and an eclectic menu that looks like it shouldn’t work but definitely does. We had the crispy tofu and poutine to start. Completely different flavor profiles but both made deliciously. The Surf n Turf was perfect - the polenta cake was enough to make us want to order a second plate. The steak was perfectly cooked. The bar is well stocked if you want a beer or whiskey but their cocktails were a bit rough.

We recently had a third visit for food and drinks. Everything was good. Service, drinks, and service were great. If you're interested and hungry for a nice night of being taken care of, and not at home cooking, well... this would be a choice. Enjoy, give yourself a break, and put a smile on your face. We just had lunch with our friends today and everything was great. Thanks again to the staff 😀 Had another meal recently and it was great. Tge food choices are broad and the service is top notch.

The "street tacos" were incredible. Nixtamalized corn tortillas were so soft and tasty, and the carnitas were perfectly tender and supremely flavorful. Even the rice and beans were delicious, with an unexpected sweetness The Brussel sprouts were too charred, but still OK. Service was friendly and on point. There's also drink "combo" offerings that provide good value for the customer. The smoked brown ale was smooth and satisfying. The only major complaint was the black flies in the bar room, but being late August (especially in a country town), it's almost impossible to avoid. Overall a great experience! Seriously considering altering our camping plans so we can attend Taco Tuesday, for all-you-can-eat street tacos for $2!

We opted for a healthy clean meal so we ordered the crispy fried tofu on our ceaser salad and in my crispy fried tofu with peanut sauce wrap. They were seriously lacking in the crispiness and had zero flavor. Cook the tofu and add some flavor please. I admit tofu needs help to be satisfying.

We picked this place because the reviews looked decent. Our waiter was fine but our food was very mediocre. French fries had triple the salt that they needed. Our chicken sandwiches were tough like hockey pucks from the 1980 Olympics. Was the chicken cooked in a microwave? Buffalo sandwich had celery greens on it that were brown. The bacon on the buffalo sandwich seemed like it was bacon bits out of a can. Not impressed. Wishing we stayed home & cooked ourselves.

My chum and I stopped by here for a post-hike meal after summiting nearby Scarface Mountain. She had been here before; I wouldn't classify this as a recommendation per se, but it was mentioned as a perfectly fine option based on one prior visit, and I was intrigued by the edgy name and menu. We came in around 2ish, and the place was pretty empty beyond a small handful of customers. We decided to go with a high-top table on the side of the room opposite the bar and made ourselves comfortable. I wasn't able to locate a drink menu on the website (certainly wouldn't hurt to add that to the three or four menu sections featured there already; otherwise it's a pretty snazzy site) so I could be off on the name, but I decided to get a cocktail that I think was called a bourbon or cranberry smash. It definitely had my spirit animal (bourbon) included, and some kind of fruity, sweet addition to complement same. I'm very pro enhancing the sweetness of bourbon. This was the highlight of our experience here by far, and I ordered a second one to enhance the rosy hue on my cheeks. Since many calories needed to be replenished, I opted for the Pulled Pork Plate ($23), which featured pulled pork, bbq sauce, a jalapeno-cheddar corn cake and two sides. I went with the fries and mac and cheese for my aforementioned sides; admittedly, the fries just weren't my jam - I'm more into crispy, thicker fries, so I let my chum munch on those. That's not a knock on the establishment though, just personal preference. The mac and cheese was okay - nothing mind-blowing, but it did the job. The pulled pork was also average. The biggest issue for me was that it looked and tasted like it had been pre-made. It came out super fast (which is usually a positive), but it was obviously because it wasn't made to order. It just didn't taste very fresh, which brought down the whole dish. It was hard to distinguish the corn cake because it was literally under all of the pork/BBQ, but I did think it added some good texture to the proceedings. My chum got a poke bowl and requested tofu instead of fish on the top. When the waiter brought the poke bowl out, it prominently featured, you guessed it, fish. He was apologetic and rectified the problem, but it was literally the only special request she made and based on his reaction, it just wasn't written down and/or remembered when the order was initially taken. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. The price point was pretty competitive, though I think the prices in this region overall are pretty amazing (likely PTSD from routinely making purchases in the NYC metro area), and everyone was very personable and welcoming. I'd have no issue returning but I'd probably stick with the drinks.

Got a Tokyo burger, flavours were very good but the patty was a bit burnt and bun was cold. Salad was also tasty. Very friendly service.

This place is meh. The food, beer and service aren’t great. The friends fries are over cooked. The steak isn’t too tasty. The Mexican bowl was too watery. The Brussels are delicious. It’s a mediocre meal but it’s impossible to find good food in the Adirondacks, so you take what you can get. I went with 7 people and no one was too crazy about the food. The burger is probably your safest bet.

Sadly we didn't get to eat here. I gave it a five on food based on reviews and pictures because we really wanted to come here, but no one would serve us. We came in at lunch time and it was obviously busy. My family and our friend's family waited by the door for several minutes and no one even acknowledged us. The serving staff avoided eye contact. Maybe we would go away if we did that? Well, it's what we eventually did. One of the customers finally told us it was a 45 minute wait for food and that there were more tables upstairs. Thanks customer, you had better service than the location. He even said that this place was 'like this' and you just have to find a seat. Thanks, not traveler friendly. Got it. Okay, other reviews were good and food looked amazing. Let's go see. Well, ignored by another waiter who ran right past and a bartender when I tried to talk to them. We went upstairs and more full tables. That's okay, it happens. However, another server literally pushed past us without a word as we were clearly lost. I mean I get being busy, but it's customer service. You kind of have to serve them? Maybe we'll try again sometime when we are back in Saranac, but this was a pretty poor experience. Eventually we just walked out the side door and went to somewhere better.

Food was very good, service was terrible. The bartender was rude from the beginning, and then resorted to completely ignoring us. He started by acting like us being there was a problem, very short and condescending tone. Just a very negative and rude attitude, then after receiving our food did not speak to us. My order was incorrect but could not even get him to look our way to get it fixed. It did get a little busy while we were waiting for our check, but we figured we would get it eventually. After watching him stand around for some time we tried to get his attention, he looked over at someone I assume is a regular and did not bat an eyelash at us. We waited nearly 30 minutes to get our check, and he continued to just not to speak at us even when we asked for our check and he set it down. Not sure if he just wanted us to walk out with a free meal or what. Would not recommend sitting at the bar, perhaps a table would have been a better option, but I will not to back to find out.

Extremely disappointed. Stopped here after a morning of fishing with the family. We were all very hungry. Restaurant wasn’t very busy and we were seated right away, but then we waited a decent amount of time for our drinks, after which three separate staff approach us for our drink order, there seemed to be a lack of communication early on. After we waited about 10 minutes for our drinks, our waitress took our food order. We ordered tacos, a burger, and a flatbread. It took at least 45 minutes for our food to come, with no communication from our waitress or the manager as to why it was taking so long. We asked our waitress about 20 minutes in and she just said “soon” which obviously wasn’t true. She also seemed oblivious to our table and we had to flag her down to get drink refills, which she seemed bothered by. This is a small area we were sitting in and she walked by our table and just chose to ignore us. When the food did come, it was cold and underwhelming. You would think for the price of the food that the portions and quality would be better. The street tacos which I ordered were extremely small and the rice and beans served with it were cold. My soda also had some grime floating on top of it, and they charge for refills. It seems like a cute place and we were looking forward to it based on the reviews but left upset and with 100 dollars less in our pockets.

Stopped in on the way to see the ice castles and were told that they didnt have space but we could order takeout. This seemed like a great option since I have celiac and they have many gluten free options. Our food took an hour and a half to come out when we were told roughly 30-45 mins. The rest of my family went down to the ice castles to wait for fireworks and my husband waited on the food so that the kids didnt miss fireworks. When he arrived with the food I found a blue plastic bread tie cooked into my supposedly gluten free quesadilla. My food as well as two others were missing sides ( sour cream and salsa) that were supposed to come with them. I spent the night getting sick so there was minimally cross contamination. I called and the restaurant offered a 50% refund. Wait staff was friendly but that is the only positive to this experience. My family will not be back and future patrons would be wise not to trust the kitchen to handle allergens or to not cook garbage into your food.

I ordered a well done burger and we all know “eww hockey puck” but that burger I got was straight up disrespectful. Chard and about 3” thick with a CRUST. As a line cook myself I know how it can be to cook well done meat in a selective time slot but to put my food in the grill and not flip. To set and forget someone’s lunch is sad.

Do not eat breakfast here. There was hair in a coffee mug 3 separate times. They didn’t cook the omelet, it was liquid inside. The home fries were French fries. The “fruit” was 4-6 blueberries. Remarkably bad. The server comped our meal but didn’t do much to apologize.
