I enjoyed dining here with my family. The food was great, the staff was friendly and very professional, and most of all, I really enjoyed the setting. The Millhouse Inn sits next to a lake (at least I think it's a lake), and it adds charm to the place 😀. Seriously, go there with your family, or your significant other, and treat yourself to a very good meal. 👍.

Sat at the bar for the first time and it was pleasant. Enjoyed the teriyaki wings done crispy like we asked. After golf had a cold beer and chicken sandwich with a side of potatoe salad, which was first class.

Great service, excellent food! Place was crowded but 1. Highly recommended, the German dishes were delicious as well as the fried seafood platter. We all left with half our lunches, plenty of food!

This was a last minute pick and they were able to accommodate our party of 10. The food servings were very generous and everyone enjoyed their meal. Lauren was our server and she was very pleasant and attentive.

I recently dined at Millerhouse Inn Restaurant and was delighted by the exceptional flavors of their steak and lemon salmon. The perfectly cooked steak melted in my mouth, and the zesty freshness of the lemon salmon was a delightful contrast. The atmosphere was inviting, complemented by a very friendly waitress who added to the overall positive experience. Ample parking spaces further enhanced the convenience. We just had our son’s 1st birthday and had all the food catered from Mill house. The food was not only wonderful and the portions were excellent! We had plenty for everyone and a good about of left overs! All our guest commented on how delicious everything was. We had Turkey wraps, Mill house hero, tossed salad (mixed greens, avocado, egg) I wasn't expecting such a beautiful salad, penna vodka -and chicken fingers with fries. Also the hero came with potato salad ( made with red potatoes) and fresh ( perfect about of mayo) cole slaw. They delivered it for me and they were on time! My husband was also very pleased with the cost for the value. I would use them again and recommend them for sure!!

Great place for a quick beverage or a down home family meal. Live entertainment various times of the year. And it's kid friendly! After you've been kayaking at the beautiful lake and or fishing around the beautifully appointed spaces, you'll definitely want to stop in and share your fishing adventure.

I've been going here either with my wife or alone after fly fishing (oh did I mention the beautiful lake?) for well over 15 years. Never have we been disappointed with either the service or the food. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner or just c'mon in for your favorite beverages and chat awhile.

Went to the Millhouse Inn for lunch after my mother's funeral. We had friends and family with us, a party of about 25. We chose this restaurant based on its location and some online reviews. We very very happy with Millhouse. Everyone said the food was great. The location was very nice with a lake view. Dining room was also pretty. Servers were attentive and pleasant. We plan to stop by again when we are in the area.

Went with a friend for Dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Nicely appointed dining room, friendly waitress. Delicious bread and crackers were brought to the table with a dish containing butter, olive oil and a very good tomato relish. I enjoyed a creamy crab soup - rich and well seasoned and not too heavy. The Sauerbraten was tender and flavorful according to my friend. I had a combination of crabmeat stuffed mushrooms, clams and flounder, with a side of sauteed spinach. Everything was excellent and the portions are very generous. Try the apple strudel for dessert! Having only recently moved to this area from Western Suffolk I was glad I found this homey and comfortable spot, and will be back soon.

The location, on a lake is terrific. But the food....yummmm. We just had two salads for lunch, mine had scallops done to perfection. This was the fifth time we came here in the past 6 years and it never failed to impress me. I recommend highly.

Went for my Birthday dinner as I have been wanting to try this place for a few yrs. Food was very good! Large proportions too. We sat in the nice dinning room. Would definitly go back. They do need another waitress as it got pretty busy and she was runing around and it was a bit slow service at 1st but she was very nice and did check in with us several times. Not her fault there was no other watriess. We were very happy we went.

A wonderful place to spend New Year's Eve!!

7 of us made a reservation and met there for dinner. Awesome steak tips as an app.....at least three of us said we'd order those as an entree in the future. The nachos and scallop apps were also great. I can't say enough about how good the meatloaf was. The service was amazing. Definitely our go-to place from now on.

Great bar/restaurant .. went for a family get together and the ladies serving us were awesome, the bar had a good vibe and the food was spot on. I would definitely go back for the apps and beers for sure. Really good entrees as well.

I recommend the Bleu cheese crusted rib eye and divers scallops for a first time. Personal favs. French onion soup is on point too.

Bartenders always the best! I stop here after golf, as do a bunch of others, mixed group of people but nice spot. Burgers are great, gopd selection of beers, nice atmosphere.

My family and I have been coming here for a long time. my husband had my surprise 50th birthday outside and it was right at the tail end of Covid and they couldn’t have been happier to accommodate us and work with my husband….We love The live music and sitting outside. whether it’s the dining room or the bar area, kids are always welcome. Looking forward to going there now with my grandchildren as well as my children.!Every meal is better than the last .everybody who works there is super friendly. It’s nice to go to a place that’s right in the neighborhood and you know them and they know you ! What a Great atmosphere!

Delish. Went for dinner with the family and it was perfect. We had some Phillies, a flounder platter and panini sandwich. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. Reasonable prices for all. Beer was cold, glasses were frozen and service was great. Will def return.

What a lovely restaurant/cafe. Food was excellent. I had the big clams which I loved, and the seafood fra diavolo! Everybody else got different things and they all loved what they got I would say go to this place. It's not fancy but sometimes not being fancy get you the best food and plenty of it. Would go there again. The staff was friendly and excellent. I did not go to the bar and everybody was having fun. So maybe one day I'll stop by the bar cuz it looks like it's a hit!

Our first time eating dinner here after living literally 5 min away and passing it all the time. Always a super packed parking lot so we took a chance on a weekday. Drinks were great, and our server Jen awesome. The young guy who helped her was so helpful with seating and extra service. Food was delish, we had chicken parm and chix milanese and apps. All really good. Nice local place and will definitely be back.

Everything was amazing. Kids had the Mac & cheese, chicken tenders and fries, those fries were so addictive. I had the shrimp wraps, make sure you get extra mango salsa, it really balances the Cajun seasoning on the shrimp 👌🏽 Hubby's burger was cooked to perfection. Portions were just right. I love that the kids meals come with dessert, we brought it back to our hotel but they destroyed the brownies al a mode. The waitress who served us was a star, I believe her name was Emily (sorry if that's wrong), she was super attentive even though she was serving the whole restaurant alone, my kids loved her and so did my husband and I. Will definitely be coming back

We had a delicious dinner with starting appetizers of the clam soup and famous baked clams along with two of the best Martinis. It was all so good. Our entrees were the German mixed plate with the best Sauerbraten I have ever had. My husband really enjoyed the Long Island platter - fish variety with vegetables. We are in town from Sunset Beach NC (former LI residents) and we always try to seek out these restaurant gems when we travel.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile from Lauren, a pleasant and lovely server. The Mill House Salad has every one of the my favorite things in one salad. Avocado, seared tuna, candied walnuts, mangos, cranberries, no goat cheese unfortunately but I can’t complain when everything else was there! Lauren suggested other cheese options! She laid out extra napkins without me having to ask. Nice view of the lake.

Ordered two german meat dishes. Absolutely delicious. Friendly service. Very clean dining room with modern decor. Beautiful view of the lake. Very reasonably priced for the portion size, which was generous. 3 recommendations that don’t impact the rating: the bread brought to the table was fresh and delicious, so I wanted 2, but had to ask for more. Also, there is a duplication of descriptions on the dessert menu, so our waitress made up a description on the spot, which was incredible. Lastly - put the potato ball and pancakes on the menu as sides! 5/5, would recommend and come again.

We have a power plant in this area and a few of my co-workers went here for lunch. The place has an old-school charm about it. The servers were charming and friendly, and the fare was tasty. I would not hesitate to go back.

The food and atmosphere was good. The service could've been quicker, but i think there were only 2 waitresses for the whole place at the time so it wasn't their fault.

Good food friendly staff. Went to see live music which was advertised for that day but got there and the band was rescheduled for the following day without notice. Most disappointed. I understand sometimes things are out of people's control crazy times we live in. I would recommend the place. Give it a try.

The food is really good. It’s an old building with a local crowd. Service was good. I would have given it 5 Stars, but the crowd was rough. I went here on a Friday night and it was obviously a pick up joint. My husband has stopped here for a quick beer after work and he says at that time it’s a sausage fest, with mostly blue color guys grabbing a beer before heading home.

The Sauerbrauten was superb. Probably the best I've had since the Bavarian Inn closed Wide menu selection with fairly decent prices in today's market

I've been back with a number of fond friends and now, finally with my wife- who wanted something salmon where she hadn't been before. A beautiful day, a pleasant drive, parking beside the lake, and ahead of the Sunday dinner crowd. Happy families in the dining room really enjoying conversations. Warm and inviting layout. The patio tables were tempting, but we stayed inside to avoid being temptations for August mosquitoes. The staff might have been down a server, but they stayed cool and friendly. Genuinely a relaxing and scenic main room. Portions are large, food was quite good. We like comparing calamari between places- Millhouse did well, properly done, non-greasy, tasty crust. Marinara, sweet thai, and very good creamy wasabi dip. Curiousity bought the overstuffed seafood potato skins- ambitiously unusual. Well prepared scallops and shrimp in what seemed like a cheese-free a la vodka sauce, but with a melty cheese on top. Really a flavorful and fun potato! Crab-crusted salmon was very tasty and well-prepared. Millhouse salad with salmon was great- the assortment of greens, candied walnuts, blue cheese and a tangy but not overpowering dressing was a great combination. Prices at so many other places have caught up lately, so what used to be a bit pricey is now a good value. Real people really enjoying a real-food restaurant night out in a comfortable pretty spot on a beautiful evening was a relaxing treat. Thanks, Millhouse!

The Millhouse is a quaint restaurant/pub that is located on the lake. The staff is very friendly and I like the ambience of the restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of options that will satisfy a plethora of appetites. Our server was very quick to replenish drinks and to check on any needs we had. I tried the Penne Alla Vodka with Shellfish special that was offered that evening, it was delicious. If you are in Yaphank, give this place a try and you will not regret it.

The teriyaki chicken bite appetizer was very good. The steak app was a bit over cooked. My entree crab cake sandwich was great. Our waitress Lauren was excellent and had a beautiful smile on her face every time she came over.

Had a great lunch here with a coworker. Views were great and the food was very good. The Thai chili wings and the cob salad, I can attest, are spot on. The only thing keeping this place from five stars with me is the dining room is a bit cramped. Nevertheless, I'll be back with the wife. She'll enjoy it too I'm sure.

Delicious food. Service always good. But the outside of the restaurant needs some TLC, looks run down and unkept. No landscaping. Inside of the restaurant is better.

Great place to go for a lunch or night out. Services was fast and food was fresh and tasty. We ordered steaks sandwiches, burgers and a salad and no one had any complaints.

The tables are crowded together and the silverware that I got looked like it had never seen a dishwasher. I told the waitress and she never brought a replacement set I had to get it from someone else from another table. Not impressed for the prices they charge

Our last night on Long Island we met our friends at Millhouse Inn for dinner. My wife and I had the French Onion Soup. It was very good with lots of gooey cheese. We ordered 2 appetizers for our main dish. I had the coconut shrimp and she had the crab cakes, which arrived as 1 big crab cake.

I’ve dined at Millhouse Inn a few times. The parking lot will always be a challenge as it’s dirt and not so friendly on certain luxury cars. For some reason whenever I go there, it seems they’re a bit short staffed but overall it’s great service. The food portions are very generous and the menu has many selections, my mixed drink was a bit bland but I always enjoy going as the space itself is nice. I did not visit the restroom but I would recommend trying it at least once! The area itself just needs a little love.

Hardly anyone in the dining room but the bar was very crowded. Buffalo wings were dry and overcooked. Our entrées were good and the share dessert was delicious. Our server was very sweet and the beer was cold. We've been here a few times and I would go back again.

We tried Millhouse Inn because we're were given a gift card. We'd never been before. We enjoyed it very much. Had a chance to try some German dishes we hadn't had in ages, which were very good. The portions were large, and the service was friendly. When you enter, there's a foyer that separates the bar from the dining room. Even though the bar was busy, we didn't have to listen to it while enjoying our meal.

Went to this American/German restaurant by the water with my wife for lunch. The ambience and service is amazing. Plenty of parking too. Had the German sampler and the only thing I liked about it was the bratwurst and the potato ball. The homemade ginger sauce was too sweet for my liking. My wife had the chicken ALA Rachel and that was quite good. Didn't get anything to drink since we were driving.

The blue cheese crusted chicken was delicious ! The fried seafood platter which consisted of shrimp , scallops , and flounder was over cooked and dried out , the drink prices were expensive to say the least. Sitting out by the lake was beautiful ! Because of the high drink prices and the over cooked food I'm giving it 3 stars .

Very nice dining room, friendly, helpful staff. Ribeye was cooked to my liking and the steak tips appetizer was delicious! Glad we went and will be back!

Mac and cheese was the worst I ever experienced...minimal overcooked elbow pasta swimming in a bath of milky cheese... tasteless.....steak tidbits were also the worst I've experienced... chunks of extremely tough and fatty beef that went well with the mac and cheese .....the two burgers my 2 boys had were good .. 2 out of 3 meals were edible and ok....sorry for the terrible review.

My wife and I both enjoyed the calamari with its 3 sauces but not the reuben which had dried out meat, watery sauce and almost no cheese on braed that didn't look toasted at all. The steak tip sandwich had alot of fat which made it less enjoyable.

If you like country music and local folk, this is the place. Food was good, service was good. Bartender was very nice. They have QuickDraw. Nice setting by the water.

I visited the Millhouse on a beautiful evening recently to have dinner. We were seated right away and our waitress was awesome, unfortunately the wait for our apps and dinner was redidcouls. The apps took about 40 mins to come out and our 2 simple entrees that don't take a long time to prep (fish and chicken) took over an hour and a half....it was totally unacceptable, our waitress was extremely apologetic and a sweetheart, the way they run the kitchen is ubsurd, they need an expiditer for sure. There were people that came in after us and they were served steak, meanwhile we were waiting and waiting....it also seems very clickish, meaning regulars seem to get their food and drinks much faster than us and other labels too. So fo all of those reasons we will not be going back.

I saw a sign for karaoke on their billboard a while ago, messaged the bar asking if they were still having it the day of and what time, and got a response saying yes, showed up and waited for 30 mins and had to ask someone what was happening and they said they cancelled it. It wasn’t posted on the website and the person never told me. What a waste of time. I tried giving it another chance and coming out tonight again tonight for trivia. Sat down to eat in the “trivia” room. Waited another 45 minutes after it was supposed to start and again had to ask someone, who told me it was cancelled. So I guess i won’t be returning. Someone needs to work on the event planning, I’m glad i didn’t have all my friends come out just to waste their time. The table we sat at had a paper topper and was under the AC and had (what looked to be mold) on it. And we looked up and that ac unit hasn’t been cleaned in god knows how long. Super disappointed. Hope you can improve on these things for your guests in the future. The food tasted good, a bit pricey for what you get but was still good, and the burger cooked correctly

Was probably the worst meal, let alone mother's day meal, I ever had. Should be posted on the website that holidays have price fix menus. Went for German food, ended up with a completely misleading appitizer- Thai chicken is vastly different than buffalo chicken which is what I was served- small salad, and a bowl.of pasta floating in a half inch of oil with extra mushrooms, I guess because I asked for none. That was the only non-seafood selection on the only menu available except the prime rib, and as I'm allergic to fish and didn't want a steak, that's what I had to go with. Coffee and dessert was not included for the $60 per person. So for almost $600, not including tip, 8 adults and 1 child ate horrible food, my daughter's mac and cheese was char broiled, and had slow service. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Can't wait until next mother's day when we head to Giorgios for the buffet and have a complimentary bloody Mary or mimosa for $34!

Just so loud. Dunno if the old men regulars are just over served or what but I moved to the outside patio and it was still too loud. That and clam chowder and chicken fingers took 45 minutes. No drink menu ever given. Had to ask for the food to go eventually...rough all around. It’s a bar, not a restaurant.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Didn't even eat the food. The service was horrible. The restaurant wasn't even busy. Took the waitress forever to even give us menus. I ordered water and saw the waitress wandering from table to table filling glasses then completely ignored my table and went back to the kitchen! My husband and i went to have sauerbraten at this restaurant. We've been there 2x before never any problems. When the waitress brought us our lunch we thought it looked different. Omg the taste was overpowering of vinegar for the sauerbraten, and there cabbage was just as worse, not to mention the potato ball was super salty. Never again will I eat at that restaurant.$70.00 for 2 dinners was crazy.

My friend and I just went there, no hostess/host to seat people in the dining area. Asked a waitress for a table and she was too busy to seat us and serve us anyway because she was alone.(she was an older lady too) there were 2 bartenders in a packed out bar and tables weren't getting cleared in the bar area either. We sat at a table for about 15 minutes with out being acknowledged at a dirty table waiting with nothing being done. After that we left and went somewhere else. They are far to busy for the amount of staffing. I would love to try their food and drinks because I've heard some many good things, and if I have a chance to go back with a better experience I would change the review.

I should give this place 0 stars. Went there for dinner tonite with my very pregnant daughter. Ordered our meals at 6 30. At 7:15 we still did not get our meals. Called the waiter over asked him if he could check on our meals and he informed us that it was very busy tonight and it would probably take another 15 minutes. We told him my daughter was hyper glicemic and she needed to eat. He said sorry and walked away. Tables that ordered 15 minutes after us were getting their meals. 20 minutes later he came back and said. He was sorry he did not think we would get our meals for another 30 minutes. At this point I asked to speak to a manager. Manager never came out to speak with me instead the hostess said she could speak to me! Do you know not one single person in that place apologized. They just did not care. Do NOT go here unreal how bad the customer service was! And we were really patient with them we didn’t complain until well over an hour went by!! Horrible service.

Walked in for a table of 3. There were many open tables. Waited 15 minutes, and the server did not come to get us. This place is not that fancy, nor was it anywhere close to busy, to be treating people this way.

Came here with my wife, infant and some friends. They had a issue with us having our stroller asking if we could put the baby somewhere else and the atmosphere when we walked was very unpleasant and customers were bad mouthing for having our infant and our friend of color. Do not recommend for people who bring their infants to dine and people of color.

It had definitely a funky taste it was horrible & oh and raw scallops ! Stay Away ! Not a very friendly bartender either save yourself the headache stay away ! Unless you want to sick 🤮

Normally very good. However I won't go back. I went out with my wife for a nice evening. It was very bad. Ordered a beer with dinner took twenty minutes to get my beer. Had to ask for bread when it came it was frozen inside. Got my salad, I was supposed to have Blue cheese salad dressing. They sent balsamic vinaigrette. When I asked the girl said oh we're out of blue cheese salad dressing. Will I have to make some more? I ate it with balsamic. Ordered sauerbraten with potato dumpling potato dumpling was cold inside. Don't think I'm ever going back. Kind of sad because it was a nice little place that typically had good food. But I'm not going back because I pay for service that I didn't get. Food was cold.
