Recently I visited family members in Frisco and I was highly recommended to this family own restaurant for my craving of MENUDO. I was not disappointed with the results. the only subpar was the salsa which was more of a tabasco liquid and the Aguas Fresca (juices) were good, but a bit excessively sweet in flavor.
I was looking for a place that had pozole and menudo to go when I found this gem. They let you add hominy to the menudo 10/10! The spice sauce they give you for it is also so good. The tortillas?! Game changer. Definitely coming back. Staff were super friendly too!
The food is authentic. The staff were so polite and very attentive! Bonito gente! I loved everything about this restaurant. They have outdoor seating and good aguas frescas. My husband and I have been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant and this one does not cut any corners. The salsa is hot and delicious and the service meets expectations. The workers noticeably work hard and they have a smile when doing so. We went during a very busy night and the servers were in good spirits making other tables laugh even with the pressure of customers flooding in. I will be coming here again and recommend this restaurant to anyone who might be thinking of a place to eat.Much appreciation to the owner and manager of this place as you can tell you care about your business.
This is my go to restaurant when I'm craving traditional Mexican food. They have the absolute best sopes I've ever had! Always served hot and fresh. The meats are all tasty too. The chips are on the thicker side and made in house. Salsas are wonderful too. This time I ordered 2 sopes with barbacoa and pastor. Both were outstanding. The masa for the sopes have nopales mixed in too. And you always have to try thatmagic green salsa and the fire red salsa too. What a great and filling lunch for less than $10 menu price.
Food & service were great. Guacamole is fabulous. Queso is for real served in a hot little skillet. Chiles Rellenos are best we ever had. Margaritas were really nice. Walked all around town mid-afternoon and this was the only place packed. Really glad we stopped in. They were hoppin’. People were friendly and food was awesome.
The best chilaquiles.. they use their tortillas de nopal. This is with verde sauce and just huevos. There is rice underneath the eggs and ask for some salsa roja. Adding on because I love their nopales (a la mexicana). I always order them as a gordita and eat with their salsa verde. They make tortillas de nopales, it’s so special! My food was so hot and fresh.
Fantastic service on a week night for dinner. Unassuming, simple restaurant with outdoor area impressed us with great customer service, calm and pretty outdoor space and good food with a good price to go along. I would recommend the chile rellano. They stuffed it full of delicious cheese and chicken. Their homemade tortilla chips are delicious and pair well with their salsa. They also brought out two salsas in bottle, green and red. Delicious and you can tell it’s homemade, not from a bucket. Así tried beef fajitas but sadly the beef was very tough- would not order this again. But the service and ambience made up for it and we are eager to return to try other menu items.
Wonderful little place for authentic as it can get Mexican food in the vicinity. A small restaurant with limited capacity but on summers there is an outdoor patio. The salsas were flavorful and there was a spicy one too. Loved the salsa Verde , very close to homemade. We tried the beef burrito and taco al pastor , both were rich in flavors and the al pastor was spicy n good. The service was with love and with a smile. The food is very affordable, unfortunately they ran out of their guacamole which I wanted to taste.very clean place and there is live music on Fridays at the outdoor patio. Surely a 'will visit again' place.
First time here and the experience is amazing. I is Nopal tacos with chicken and beans platter and it is just so delicious. Service is at its best… we went out as a group and no one has got any a bad comment to say…. We all went in darn hungry and came out darn satisfied. Generous portions and we all loved it…. Definitely going there again and again!
Ordered to go! A pound of barbacoa de res, pozole and menudo. The barbacoa is a big portion, with home made green tortillas de maíz, a big cup of consome w/cilantro, onion and limes & don’t forget the salsa. The pozole come with the rábanos, lime, tostadas. Menudo same. The barbacoa tacos with the red salsa were FIREEEEE. If you are looking for mild salsa try the green salsa. I’ve had the caldo de res and that what made me order from here. Customer service was great. They are going to start selling tamales and the lady was really trying to sell them. Can’t wait to try them!!
We had a great waitress who was very pleasant and friendly. All the food was great. Their salsa is really good with a kick, and then she brought me some even spicier salsa that lit me up, in a good way. I started with the queso fundido, which was about as good as I've had. Then I had chorizo tacos, which were also on the money. I can't wait to go back.
PROs: Excellent authentic Mexican food. Indoor seatings with plenty of outdoor seatings. Clean and organized. Sweet lady was our server, friendly and attentive to us, she also addressed regular customers by their names. CONs: Parking is hit or miss. We visited after lunch hours on Monday there were a few front parking spots available. Under $23(with tip) we ordered 1-Tostada del Mar and taco plate.
Jalisco Restaurante serves delicious authentic Mexican food in the heart of Lewisville. Their queso, while thick and hard to dip, is absolutely delicious. Their taco plate, featuring beef, pollo, and barbacoa meats, is seasoned with onions and limes, and served on corn or flour tortillas, a combination that is simple yet delicious. Plus, they have a beautiful patio for eating outside on a nice day.
Went there Saturday... First time going and I must say it won't be the last. The food was Delicious. The service from the moment we walked in to when we left was awesome!! We went when they were busy and that didn't stop them from coming by to make sure all was ok! I give them a Huge 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s Go in and give them a try (if you haven't already). You won't regret it! 🙂🌻
We were driving in Old Town Lewisville and saw one parking spot in front of Jalisco’s and decided to try something new! So glad we stopped! I took our servers suggestion and ordered the empanadas con a pastor and my husband ordered the cubano torta. It was all very good! They have signs posted that they have live mariachi on Friday nights! They have Medudo, Pozole and Borrego on the weekends so we might have to come back and try it! Cute patio area to boot with reasonable drink prices!
Great food and very friendly staff, parking seems very limited as they are located on a one-way street and no parking lot
Service is kind and joyful but laking in comprehension. Meal was tasty. Chips and salsa sub par but of course ate them all. I witnessed an unfortunate event while I was there. A gentleman was in a super hurry, and she said, did you want anything to eat? He was like, do you have anything ready to go? That's already cooked and ready? She said oh yes, and then so he ordered tacos that took him 10 minutes to get. When he was on the phone with somebody telling them that he would be there straight away. I was in my car and watched the guy run down the road to get to his appointment That's what i'm talking about lack of comprehension and when I asked a couple questions.
Food was alright. The queso was tight Although it was less like queso and more like fondue The margaritas could use some help too. They were sweet which is great, But if you like alcohol, you might be irate. I almost walked out when I saw the Fox News, But we decided to stay in search of new foodz So if you come here, you will surely eat, My husband has hobbit feet.
