This place was great for a quick and inexpensive lunch! Fresh ingredients that were COLD on a cold turkey sub as it should be. The rolls were fantastic and the staff super friendly and polite! Place was clean-even the restrooms! Loved it!

The best restaurant in a decent chain. Jrecks subs are all pretty good but this one is great, everyone from the owner to the person making your food is polite and the food is great. Not to mention there is an authentic taco place in the same building.

Love this place!!! Always clean and the food is excellent! I especially love their Mexican food selection, such as the quesadillas, burritos, and the homemade pico de galla. Definitely recommend as one of the best places in the Bay! It can be a little pricey for some items but it’s well worth it.

Alexandria Bay - Must see town! Also, must have sub here at JRECK SUBS - Steak sub. Perhaps, one of the best steak subs I've had in a very long time. Must stop-by restaurant!

I haven't been in a few years but we got married at Boldt Castle in 2006 and having a tight budget this is were we went often for meals that weekend & still love it!! We are from Utica area so we dont have Jrecks and now we live in NC so we surely dont & my husband will joke ready for Jrecks.

I come to this place all of the time and it is always clean and the food is always good. The server's are good and polite and go out of their way to be respectful. This is a first choice here in Alexandria Bay! Come try it out!!

They have a great menu choice. We ordered subs and they were delicious. We will definitely go back when we are in the area.

I've been coming to Jrecks for as long as I can remember. Highly recommend the Regular on white w/ all the shakers.

Just had my first chicken quesadilla at Alex Bay Jrecks--- the best I've ever had by far-- I ordered it with bacon and extra cheese...freakin' phenomenal!

Great meal but need to go back to original rolls. New rolls fall apart

Good sandwich at a fair price even in a tourist area. Save some money by eating here.

Similar to Subway. Roll was super soft & the hamburger covered the entire roll. Looked @ several pizza shops in Alexandria Bay & most do not sell subs. Biggest negative and nothing to do with the restaurant, is the lack of parking downtown.

Great place to stop for a sandwich here. Service was good and the place was clean. We enjoyed the food. I recommend stopping here for a sandwich and a soda or tea.

If you want a good quality sub with no frills then this is the place. Good roast beef, lean fresh and tasty. Fair prices and very pleasant service.

This was once a great chain of sandwich shops, a local favorite. I even worked at one once. What used to be great good at a great price is neither now. Very disappointed with the food quality, and prices. When I complained that they had split my roll in half, they said " yeah sorry that hapoens sometimes" A huge disappointment.

Hated that they put Mayo on the meat instead of on the sub roll which caused everything to squish out. The manager came in and interrupted the sub maker while we were giving our order with no apology or acknowledgement. Then she had to stop our order to work on whatever the manager had told her to do. Overall, was not impressed.

I give it 1 star my friend gives it a 4 or 5. He enjoyed his fish sub. Me on the other hand the tuna sub was revolting. You use way, way too much mayo. Seriously take out half of the mayo.

Really good cold subs, doesn't have real Mexican food , it's more American food ... prices are good for this are. They have variety of things.

Subs were good however at checkout I was charged $18 for 2 half subs. I didn't realize it at the time as was chatting with another customer. When I got home and noticed the error -I also didn't have a receipt so I took the hit. My suggestion is to be alert as to what you are charged for what you actually ordered.

Do yourself a favor and go to subway, BK, TH’s, hell a GAS STATION and you’ll get better quality food and value then this rip-off joint. For probably 60% of the cost of this olace you can get the same food with better quality. One of the worst meals Ive had in years!

Going up to the Thousand islands is a childhood memory for me. Always remember stopping at Jrecks for a sub was a must do. I'm not sure why we still do it. Over priced for a mediocre sub, which I hate to say but is true. They were out of salami which is what I really wanted. Second choice was tuna but unfortunately the kid could not tell me when it was made. I am a manager at a local restaurant back home and everything in my kitchen has a label and date on it, state regulations.. So ham and turkey it is(which I can make at my house).

Your sub shop has a huge problem. No toaster? You serve hot subs, on soggy, untoasted, cold bread. What kind of sub shop doesnt have a toaster? This is a deal breaker for me. Should be a sign on the door.

Was ok. some items shouldn't be on menu. Grilled chicken sandwich was hot chicken over fresh lettuce and tomato. The result was a soggy gross mess. The rest of the food was ok.

I’ve never had a thinner more depressing sub in my entire life. Even the hot sub which is usually thicker than the cold was sad. Go someplace else. Nice “Toy” in the kids meals also.. We LOVE false advertising.

This place takes entirely to long to make a sub i was 3rd in line when i walked in and have been here for 25 min and still havent recived my sub get anouther employee here damn by far the slowest service ever at a jrecks ill go elsewhere for lunch from now on

this place was not what i expected Awful food and expensive and tasteless. The manager did not want to help and did not even apologise. I expected much better from a plsce like this

By far the most disappointing food on our trip to Alexandria Bay. Staff was not rude, but by no means helpful or pleasant. Bread was almost stale. Major disappointment.
