Just pumped into this cozy, whimsical and small cafe. Coffee is good. Staff is friendly. A nice place for study and work and may be just chill.
Really nice place to sit and work. The vibe is hippy and homey. I got the breakfast burrito - the American style and it was very filling and came with a fruit cup. I enjoyed the chai latte and my friend enjoyed the eggnog latte (4/5).
Love love love the ambience! People are friendly and fun to talk with. This feels more like a neighborhood coffee shop. Just had an espresso, no food so can’t comment. But left with an impression that I want to be back if I am in the neighborhood again. Gorgeous cafe!
It was a chill place with a lot of beverage and food options. The fresh juices were so good with the option to mix and match your favorite fruits. The coffees , croissants were good and they thoroughly check vaccination proof to be seated inside.
A true neighborhood gem that has stood the test of time for over a decade. The consistently friendly and welcoming service makes every visit a pleasure. In the afternoons, it’s a popular spot for those looking to work in a relaxed atmosphere. My go-to favorites include the customized, freshly-made juices (the Dynamo with added beets is a must-try), the Greek wrap, bagels with cream cheese topped with sprouts, cucumbers, and sun-dried tomatoes, and the tuna sandwich with side-salad. The inviting vibes and warm hospitality have kept me coming back.
Whereas other patrons want a place to park themselves and use WiFi for free, I want to be able to get a seat, eat, relax with a beverage, read or people watch. Here at Blue Danube people are engaged in reading a real book (!), having a meal or snack while conversing with their friends, and being present in the experience. Blue Danube is charming! It’s not a cookie cutter chain coffee shop. It’s a local, one-and-only place. You feel like you’re in Berkeley, the Latin Quarter of Paris or a eclectic Vienna when you sit at these miss-matched tables. Generations have penned books, written in their journals and sketched art at Blue Danube. It’s an eclectic décor that is colorful - love it! The food is tasty and hot drinks are Hot(!) which you need in the chilly Richmond neighborhood. This café employed their regular & student staff during the pandemic - which is meaningful to me. As a family owned business, it supports its neighborhood so we need to support it.

A cozy cafe in san francisco. Has a menu with many options for a sweet tooth with desserts as simple as a bite sized supermarket cookie.
Feel like extension to my living room ,seems like workers are family owned and very polite folks Feels like no one judges you when I am here compare to other businesses where workers stare at you the whole time 🤣, Just positive atmosphere Positive attitude great cup of coffee ☕ Thank you guys I don't know your names but I know your faces .
If you’re gluten free, you understand the portion-size struggle when you get a sandwich on tiny GF bread. This cafe gives you 2 GF sandwiches, which is the equivalent to 1 normal sandwich!
A coffee shop with a lot of personality. We liked its original, local atmosphere. The server had a very relaxed and welcoming energy, giving us time to decide. We had coffee and juice, both delicious.

Staff and atmosphere was nice. It was so cold on Friday that I was craving a Mexican hot chocolate so I came here. $7 is a little crazy tho.
The gentleman behind the counter was super kind. My coffee was delicious and took only a couple minutes to make. Cute atmosphere.
Nice little coffee shop. The good is very very good, but the coffee is a little lack luster. I had the hummus plate and my husband had the yogurt with granola and fruit, both of which were tasty. Comfortable environment though. I didn't use the WiFi but you do have to pay for it if you didn't so be aware before you camp out here for awhile.
It's nice place. cozy. it was pretty Packed when I walked in 1:40 p.m. Prices are OK for a large coffee which is medium in most places was 2. 50. The line was not. The guy at the counter was cheerful and what one would hope to expect from a coffee shop. Oh and also coffee is hella good :) They also have papers straws for all of you plastic straw haters. ... And they have honey in a bottle not those retarded stupid packets . Thank you!
With an artsy flare and an eclectic mix of patrons, the Blue Danube Coffee House is right at home in the Inner Richmond District. I haven't spent time much time in SF lately, but I had a business trip to the Bay Area and had time before dinner to decompress over a cup of coffee. There are a number of coffee shops available, but the quirkiness of Blue Danube pulled me in. They offered a variety of brewed and non-brewed beverages, with an equally abundant selection of pastries and food options. If you want a taste of the offbeat, drop by and get your people-watch on while enjoying a cup of coffee.
Parking is street parking, meter or residential. It is one of the local shops, where you can find coffee drinks, wine, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, and small eats. Prices are reasonable. Coffee drinks are ok, not bad to sit down and take a break.

This is my second visit to Blue Danube Coffee House. Good coffee, good atmosphere. A new go-to spot for a quick meal or coffee. Plus, it’s on Clement Street which I find endlessly interesting. February 2024 update: A friend and I have a regular date to meet at the Blue Danube for breakfast on Sunday morning then go to the Farmers Market. Great place, good bagels and delicious coffee.
Jan 13, 2026 Second time here and this time I sat for a toasted Bagel w/cream cheese and a coffee - $8.50 Place is always hopping, at least in the morning hours. Mostly small deuce (2 seater tables) w/outside seating as well. Very kind and efficient service. Great strong coffee. The best toasted bagel w/butter and cream cheese I have had in this town. Big and fresh Asiago Bagel, toasted perfectly. Really appreciated the "whipped" cream cheese. All the food looks great, but will for sure be back for breakfast. All the breakfast sandwiches also sound really good. If you are in the area and can find parking, give them a try, I don't believe you will be disappointed.
This is my second time eating at Blue Danube. First time here, I got the breakfast bagel which has scrambled eggs, tomatoes, cheddar, and bacon. All of the components were nicely done, although it is a tad pricey at $13.50, given that the bagel isn't too loaded with filling. The second time here I came with my uncle and partner. My partner got the granola with yogurt, which came topped with blueberries. She really enjoyed the granola and yogurt, which was reasonably priced. My uncle got the tuna sandwich, which he really enjoyed. He particularly thought the bread and homemade tuna salad tasted fresh and tasty. I got the rosemary chicken sandwich, which was also very good. I really liked the soft roll, which was soft but held its integrity, as well as the cayenne mayo which gave the sandwich a slight kick. The chicken was grilled nicely as well. My only negative was that I wished the sandwich were bigger, as I was left a bit hungry. Overall a good place for a solid, reliable meal.

Coffee is honestly kinda mediocre and they charge $2 an hour for wifi which feels a bit scammy. The vibes are cozy though so it has potential
i live nearby so i’ve eaten and chilled here at least 10 times in the past year, over half of those times i get almost immediate gastrointestinal upset. since it’s nearby and i tend to forget i end up going back. or i somehow convince myself it was just a fluke. but it happened again yesterday and i honestly can’t pretend like its not because of the food (or drink) here, it was my first meal of the day. i had to literally run home … 😬 otherwise this is such a cute place and i really wanna love it and it’s very likely i’ll succumb again but i just needed to say my piece since i tried contacting them directly to no avail.

Subpar experience. The cafe was very busy and the reviews looked good so I decided to check it out. My oat milk latte tasted like straight up milk which was disappointing. I ordered the chicken sandwich. Sandwich was fine. It came with a side salad that had no dressing on it. There’s a ton of other casual cafes in sf that are far better, I would skip this one

Coffee was kinda mid. Unfortunately they charge for wifi. The male employee did not have good attitudes when I asked for bathroom. Cute atmosphere but rude service really ruined it. I will probably never visit again

I never write reviews. But this place wasn’t good. They burnt my bagel. The smoothie I got was kind of mid. The place is cute but the service was also subpar. The two employees I encountered did not have good attitudes. I wish I had a good experience but I did not.
