Tri tip snd ribs are so good and tender! My mom likes the macaroni salad and I like the potato salad and the mild sauce is good unless you like it hot then go to medium or hot. Its not a formal restaurant so order pick it up and go get it delivered, I've done both.

Great food for on the run BBQ cravings. Trip tip sandwich was a banger. Ask for Medium sauce! Amazing portions!

They always have a lot customers it's always crowded because the food is so delicious but even then you still get good speedy service ¹ The owner is amazing and the little lady behind the counter that always does the she's hella cool and patient cuz every single time I ask her what's the size option and every single time she explains them to me. I love this place. I would give it six stars. I recommend it to any and everybody. The food options are crazy delicious also, the butcher has fresh meat. It's a One-Stop shop. Anything you want is there I bought some meat from the butcher area and for some reason they weren't taking cards. Today my order came to 22 and I only had 18. He still gave it to me and is trusting me to bring the money back now. That's what I call customer service. That's amazing! Champion and smokehouse is the best

They basa combo is good as well as their ribs and bbq bacon burgers. I also love their buttermilk and pecan pies . I can't find those pies anywhere else 😫

I did ask for my barbecue to be on my meat because it was very good dark, But they put it on the side instead. You have the choice of getting lunch or dinner. The dinner is gonna cost you a little bit more but it’s a lot of meat.The sauce was rich and seasoned just right I got the beans and the mac & cheese. I was told that the potato salad is actually very good. Traffic is swift , on the outside, looking in, you would never know that they have really good barbecue inside but the most part I’m pleased

Food is great every time. SERVICE great but seem they need help more help, ATMOSPHERE is buzzing cause it's busy. One thing I can say call I'm your order and your in and out or be patient to wait 20 mins

The barbecue is a little bit overpriced when it comes to tri-tip and links, but it was good But not the best. Could you A thicker sauce I think that will make a difference and for 1 tray shouldn't be $40. I've also tried their fish Basa, and it was seasoned. Well but it Be softly cooked. I think I need to ask him to fry it a little bit longer for the thicker pieces.

Been eating here for more than 20yrs.. I hate that they change their beans all the time but they are hell extremely good.. management has changed and I don’t care for that but I love this place!

Sides are awful. Dont ever use cinnamon in your potato salad, these are NOT YAMS. Coleslaw is more mayo than cabbage, cut that down. Main meats are dry with NO bark (Why did you do that?) Flavors for main meat are good and textures ARE soft. THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME WANT TO MAKE MY OWN FOOD INSTEAD OF GOING OUT TO EAT. Take some notes please, when you cook your food go 80% to make sure its not dry, store it in a cool place before reheating it so that you keep your Bark. Was not Worth $35.27

⭐ 1 Star – Very Disappointing Experience Order placed from Champion Smokehouse, 679 98th Ave, Oakland, CA and delivered via DoorDash on February 26, 2026 at approximately 5:00 PM. The catfish was the one highlight — perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. That part was done well. However, I ordered turkey tails and received rib tips instead. When you’re specifically craving turkey tails and open the container to something completely different, it’s frustrating. The rib tips were smoky and had decent flavor, but that’s not what I ordered. My meal was also supposed to come with potato salad — and there was none. When you’re looking forward to that classic BBQ combo and the potato salad is missing, it really throws everything off. No substitution, no explanation. Just missing. Very disappointing. 😕 The BBQ sauce was labeled “medium,” but there was absolutely no heat — it tasted mild at best. If it’s advertised as medium, it should at least have some kick. 🌶️ I can’t talk about the ambience of the restaurant because I had to order delivered as I said earlier, my DoorDash. To add to the frustration, the delivery driver did not follow the clearly provided apartment instructions and went to the community rental office instead. Accuracy matters. When multiple items are wrong or missing, it overshadows the few things that were done right. I expected much better.

I purchased a slab of ribs through my caregiver and it was terrible over cooked old dry out so bad the rib bone was dried and brittle along with the meat was dry out like fry fried rib meat with burnt ends I called to let them know that it was terrible I showed receipts from my caregiver and that was not good enough being disabled and senior citizen the customer service was terrible and ungrateful and very rude I will reach out to the BBB and inform customer not to do business at this store call bbq that is not good for anyone that knows BBQ and fresh food not food that's left out and sold for the next day beware of this store and fresh meat check for dried links and tri tip and pork ribs placed under heat lamps and the food is not fresh cooked over cooked food

EXTREMELY salty breading had hard pebble-like ingredients.Potato wedges were old & mucky inside with wrinkled skin on outside…all of them were inedible. And the delivery bag was wet inside.Total waste of money!
