We love the food and homely service. Love sitting next to window in the restaurant :) They even make dish if u want in certain way. We asked for eggplant chicken,they made it for us!! Luv it !!

I have not been to Imperial Delight since the most recent stay-at-home order issued by tge Contra Costa county health department. However, previous to that recent order, the Imperial Delight was doing an excellent job of keeping customers satisfied with takeout only and safely separated from the back half of the front of the restaurant. Hand sanitizer was also easily available for customers. Interestingly, I believe the quality and flavors of the food at Imperial Delight has increased tremendously in the last several months and it was very delicious even before that. My family particularly likes the Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Imperial Triple Crown, Prawns with Garlic Sauce, and the Dry Scallop w/ Egg White Fried Rice.

Good food and good service with a very very reasonable price.

I think this is one of the nest Chinese restaurants in the east bay. The food is fresh, calm and clean environment. I highly recommend!

Delicious, authentic Chinese food. Reminds me of Oakland Chinatown joints. We had the beef chow fun and that was cooked perfectly. You can taste the wok hei. Mongolian combo was really good too, just spicy enough. Salt and pepper calamari had a nice crunchy batter. So glad i found this place.

I don't know how useful this review is, being the last time I ate there was 11 years ago and I always got the same things. I used to come here once a week or at least once a month. That sesame chicken is incomparable. I still crave this place even though I live far away now. I'll have to plan a trip just to hit this place up several times!

Went for the first time and the service was great, the food was very good and my mom even finished her pork chop which is rare. The crab meat puff is my favorite app there and i had the chicken corn soup which has a good consistency and not too powerful of a flavor which i like about it.

Excellent tofu dish. It is the most delicious item on the menu. Parking is easy n service is good.

This place is awesome!!! Even when I've lived my entire life up to 5yrs ago on Long Island, NY, the food is excellent, the portions are generous, my ONLY gripe is not having duck sauce... 4 that I took off 1 star, but the people are nice, speak good enough English to not have to repeat yourself 10x. All around great choice!!!

The restaurant is pretty small, but we called in advance and reserved 2 big tables, party of 20!!! They did their best to fit and wait on us. Food was ok, not the best or worst Chinese food I've ever had. Lets just say, if the plate setting doesn't have chopsticks on the table...that is a pretty strong tell of how authentic the food will be. None of the dishes really stood out in anyway.

A small restaurant but with very good Chinese food, I like the Mongolian beef and salt and pepper pork chop.

My go to place for Chinese food. Triple delight three kind of see food is really good. Hot and sour soup is very good.

My wife and I were craving authentic Chinese food, not Panda Express Ana we wanted to experience the Chinese American food as we grew up with. To our pleasant surprise the service and food were excellent. Obviously the quality of food can be elevated but given the Special Dinner menu of $19.99 per person we hand more food than we can eat. The soup, appetizers, Teo main dishes and chicken chow mien were all for $40 plus tax. I loved the experience. Great spot for large groups to share variety of dishes. I’m hoping that they will continue to operate as the future development gets built and they will be there for ever. I can’t wait to take a large group of family and friends there soon.

3 sea food combo with rice and soup. Food is good and nice small businesses. they are open 3-5 and not close during that time like other food places. Service was very good and nice atmosphere. Server was nice to give me a soup on the house. Will come back.

The food was excellent, and thank you to the very fine young who did damage control after the very poor continued service provided by this young man. His bad attitude and poor manners earned one star for the service, and the appropriate damage control they earned back the stars. Vegetarian Spring rolls and onion cakes were excellent! Mongolian chicken and Kung Pao prawns were so delicious too! Great location and plenty of parking. Will visit again.

I ordered the Mongolian beef (lunch version) and sautéed string beans. Both were delicious and flavorful; the string beans were in like a garlic/chili oil sauce. The only thing I didn't care for was the disproportionate amount of rice provided with the Mongolian beef. There was definitely more rice than anything else, and more rice than any one person could eat for sure. Maybe some people like this but it seemed wasteful to me. It wouldn't be so bad if there was more of the Mongolian beef to balance it out, but there was less of it. I wish their menus were more descriptive so you know exactly what you're getting when you order things online and what's in the food. But with this place you kinda just need to either be super familiar with Chinese food dishes or just trust that it's good I guess. (Thank goodness for Google photos)

As a field technician l visit a lot of Chinese food restaurant’s I’m the Bay Area. And I found this little spot today. I ordered a chicken broccoli lunch special which was relatively good and the soup that came with the lunch specials was delicious. And the lunch specials was $13. Plus my drink. Even though the food was not the best, the price is good and the food is still good enough. I would give it a 4 1/2 if I could. Definitely a good small Chinese restaurant.

The food is really bad. The two things I ordered, Mongolian beef and iced tea never made it to the table. Ate from the plates of others' and nothing was good. It was almost impossible to get some water. Wow. Never again.

I live in San Ramon and tonight, Valentines night our family were thinking on where to have dinner. We were debating if we were going to Japanese or Chinese restaurant. My girls decided to have Chinese and since Imperial Delight is very close to where we live , we decided to have our dinner at the said place. I have tried their food before and it is fine. In the middle of our dinner, the waiter who was an elderly Chinese man gave us the bill with the look in his place that he is implying that payment is needed, I took my card and put it in the tray. He returned the tray with the receipt and I signed giving him not a very generous tip. To our surprise he went back to our table and ask us if his service is not good because we gave him a small tip. He asked us why our tip was so small, I was so embarrased because I have only 5 dollar cash in my pocket. I asked him to give me the receipt back so I could change it. Wouldn't you consider that to be very rude. Tip is a voluntary act from the customer and it is not mandatory to give a specific amount. His act was very inappropiate because after I gave a big tip they all spoke in their language and started to look at us with that kind of smile that you know that they are talking about. you.I will not recommend that place to anyone. There are a lot Chinese restaurant around with good food and good service.

Be careful if you look at their menu online. Their prices have changed and they will not honor the website prices. I was informed that prices are subject to change but it doesn't state that on their website. Ordered the sauteed triple mushroom w/ beef. More vegetables and rice then meat. Picture looks better than what was served. No flavor to the food. probably because all I could taste was rice. Not going back there again.....

I ate here last month and got food poisoning so bad that I had to go to the ER at 3:30 in the morning! I even threw up in the parking lot of the ER, which was about the 5th time that morning! I'm sure I wasn't the only person who got sick from eating here this day since I ate there on a Saturday night and there were other people dining there and picking up orders. Something with their food prep or food storage is way off. It's now five weeks later and my stomach still isn't right. All I can say is, diner beware! These places are notorious for having unsanitary conditions.

Bad experience with take out. I ordered prawns chow mien but it contains some chicken pieces, very bad as I can't eat chicken
