We have ordered from here on numerous occasions. I decided to wait to post a review, figuring at some point something would go wrong. Aegea does not disappoint. The falafel is delicious, as is the souvlaki. The greek salad is my absolute favorite, the dressing is outstanding. Somehow during the busy lunch hour, we wait less than 30 minutes for our food to be delivered and the pita arrives warm. So glad they deliver in Great Neck.

Absolutely love this place. Prices are solid food is top tier quality and service is friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place

My doctor's office is across the street from the restaurant so every time I have an appointment I make sure I stop in for a gyro. There is never a wait, the place is always clean, and their gyro's are to die for.

Recently added the Impossible Burger to the menu...Delighted that they recognize and respect the need to offer vegan/vegetarian options.

Take my kids here all the time and they are amazing! They get pizza which is delicious and I eat the Gyros which are out of this world!

The hospitality and the service is there the atmosphere it's amazing the food is great .And they actually know my name when I do come by to pick up my order.

I had their Aegea Burger, very good made with Angus beef, I’ve tired the gyro and it was delicious as well... the salads looked and sounded on the menu appetizing. Just had a DELICIOUS Angus cheeseburger deluxe and my husband had one with bacon. It was cooked to perfection (along with crispy French Fries and a fresh salad). It was delivered quickly. I had to post because my experience was on point.👌

I have never had a meal that wasn’t top notch. Amazing menu and don’t be afraid to venture out from what you usually get! I order the impossible burger, falafel sandwich, spaghetti, salads etc it is all super good. On top of that Leo and the rest of the team are prompt and friendly. I literally don’t need to eat anywhere else in this area.

Great balance of sauce, cheese and delicious crust. Not too thin, not too doughy. Crust doesn’t get soggy like some others do. The photo is leftover pizza warmed up and it’s still very good! I decided to grab a Groupon this spot was offering... $22 for 2 Greek sandwiches (Kabob/Gyro), Mediterranean salad, Hummus and some pita... 1st the bag was so heavy! The amount of food they gave us was 🤯 2nd I absolutely need you to go try their food. Obviously their Gyro was slapping but I gotta talk about the Hummus... It's fresh it's served really nicely on some lettuce and they throw in a few olives to make you feel special 😁 but it is the taste... not everyone makes good Hummus and since it's a restaurant you'd think it'd might be processed or they tried to stretch it... They make that ish with love! 3rd I'm not sure who the young woman was at the register but she was friendly and fast... Overall I have to give this place a 4.5/5 Go get you some Gyro! Oh and I have leftovers I'm about to buss today... Yeaaaaa I told you it was alot

The quality of pizza definitely comes from the idea that the one making it knows what they want, it doesn't feel like a generic, doughy recipe. I haven't had the pleasure of trying any of their Greek dishes but at the very least if you're in the area and want a quick bite especially pizza give them a try! Their regular and sicilian are both a solid A!

I have been a customer since Aegea opened and every meal has been stellar! I especially love the gyro salad, pizza, grilled shrimp, and lamb chops, as well as all of the sides. Their fries are the best anywhere. The owner is the hardest worker I’ve ever seen. He remembers people and recalls my preferences. All of the counter/waitstaff are super friendly too.

Make sure to really give it a shot and check out the specifics. They have some great stuff.

Crazy good little Greek and Pizza place.

Greek food was excellent. I had the gyro platter and the lemon chicken and rice soup was the best. My wife had the veal Parmigiano which I thought was only ok. The portions were huge.

Tried the Greek salad with grilled chicken, which came with pita bread with tzitiki sauce, then garlic knots which had melted mozerella. Everything was fresh and excellent. The guys working were friendly and courteous. After I return and try a gyro I can give five stars but I can't give 5 stars for salad.

People were nice pickup of food was smooth. Pizza was very good.

Be careful when you order online. There are products that aren't listed on the online menu you may mistake for something that's listed on the menu in the restaurant. The food is alright though.

Had the pesto chicken sandwich for lunch and it was great. The pita bread was fresh and the chicken was juicy, I'll be visiting here again for lunch.

Pizza was pretty good and I particularly liked the sauce they used. However the owner was yelling over the phone and the workers in there looked like they were scared for their lives. Would go back for the pizza only suggestion is to act more professional in front of customers and not take personal calls in front of customers.

Take out. Came fast. Ordered here the falafel Sandwich, it was alright. Good quality and quantity. I've definitely had better though. The tzakki is alright as well, very plain for my palate.

The banner claiming best pizza had me try them out. Ordered online, food was ready on time, but the pizza was extremely bland. The sauce, the cheese, bland. I was really looking forward to it too, on my cheat day, so it should have tasted better than usual. Not the case.

The only complain I have from this restaurant is regarding their safety measures. None of the staff neither wearing mask nor gloves. I hope they start working on that specially now more than anytime that we need to take care of each other and our community. The food is delicious though. Thank you

It is fine. Not bad not great. Had a combo platter of gyro, souvlaki and chicken with rice, friend calamari, spinach pie and a plate of garlic sauteed spinach. They used jarred tzatziki sauce which I saw on the counter and seemingly frozen spinach. Spinach pie had artichoke hearts added which was a nice touch. The food was ok but I wouldn't eat here again since there are many more good Greek options 5-10 minutes from here.

The quality of the food is low

The food is ok. Their tzatziki is terrible, all watery. Not high quality and not real Greek tzatziki. Management should get better quality Greek food.

I tried two slices of regular pizza. It was dry and dull. I rather prefer any other pizza places in Douglaston.

I have been ordering here since I live in the neighborhood, over 4 years they have decent food and the ease of ordering from an app, my last few orders have been missing items when called all three times I get i am sorry it will be there shortly Over a half hour for my missing items And the managers response this last time, if you remind me next time I’ll throw you a dessert or something. Customer service is just as important as the food. Take care Aegea, I will be finding a new place.

When we first went in, my friends and I were excited about the range of food that the menu had to offer, the food looked and tasted really good, but that is the only reason why this rating got as high as 2 stars. Not even 5 mins into sitting and waiting for our food, when this guy (Who seemed to be the owner) starts yelling, verbally abusing his cooks and waitress, RIGHT IN FRONT OF US, and throwing around plates and cutlery. We were extremely uncomfortable after that, rushed to eat our food and left agreeing to never go back and support such a place. I don't care how good the food is, it is never ok to be abusive to those you employ, especially in front of customers. There are better and friendlier places to get good Mediterranean dishes.

Update 11/25/17: This is the third time in a row that Iorder delivery from this place and my cheeseburger gets delivered soggy from "throwing it" in the same container as the salad with dressing on it, causing it to get absorbed by the bun. They also "stuff" the french fries in with the burger and salad, ehich actually don't fit, and everything gets squashed (see photos). The fries end up soggy also because of the salad dressing. They never care about packing the food correctly and how it actually reaches the customer. Downgrading them from 4 stars to 2 stars of my original review. Amazing Fresh Angus Burger Deluxe Plate. Juicy burger, comes with FF and a very nice salad. Friendly staff. Only drawbacks are 1) finding parking outside and 2) The fact that they close early.

I ordered a chicken souvlaki yesterday and i had to use a fork to eat only the inside, because it wasn't rapped, they just had the pita under and threw tzatziki and the rest of the stuff on it, it was discussing. Like, if u are trying to keep a greek restaurant going the you have to bring people the know how to wrap a proper souvlaki.I would highly NOT RECOMMEND you to go eat there!!!!!

Owner cancelled my order because my tip was too small...then yelled at me and said my address was too far when I'm only 2 miles away.

Very disappointed as a first time customer. The customer service is what has turned me away. They need to learn how to deal with complaints professionally. Not how you run your business. Cursing at customers is unacceptable no matter the circumstances.

I have been a customer of Aegea since they opened. Only problem I had was after the fire when they first reopened. After tonight I will no longer be ordering from them. They won't take orders over the phone, forcing you to use their online site. Fine. I can handle that. I ordered a bacon cheese burger deluxe. Never had any issues. I bit into this burger and it just tasted wrong. I look at the meat and the inside of the burger is completely rare and the bacon is barely cooked. I call the place to let them know they sent me an uncooked burger and the girl who answered told me that that is how it comes and then proceeds to put on the chef. He asked what the problem was and I told him that the burger isn't cooked, he told me it's medium, when you don't specify they cook it medium. This burger is not medium and there is nowhere online to actually specify. He jokingly said "so that's why your pissed", so I said yeah when I order food I expect it to be cooked. The "bro" said well don't order here again and hung up on me. I don't understand what type of people they have working here, these people have zero customer service. I just had to cook the food I paid for. It's absolutely disgusting.

Christina took my order over the phone and I literally flew over there from wood haven queens I usually like this pizza that’s because they make it fresh on the spot when you go there but I didn’t want to wait long so the cooks thought it best to give me a stale pizza am very disappointed this was once one of my favorite pizzas after this bad experience I won’t be having pizzeria pizza anymore and will be sticking to Domino’s Pizza Hut and papa John’s with 2 exceptions danis pizza there sauce is amazing and spumoni garden as I never had from them.. the one plus I must note the garlic bread is delish but I was sold stale pizza on 11-27-20 around 1:20 pm 1-27-21 Very disappointed the owner did not try to make things right or credit me back very sad I will not be coming back there.
