Amazing staff! They’re super attentive, which I appreciate considering a lot of other places lack that. The drip system they use though not exactly sure on all the science behind it all, what I can say it just brings out an amazing aromatic taste & smell from the beans they source. The quality of the coffee beans plus the advance system they use to extract just is absolutely amazing, not saying I’m a coffee expert but you know when something is above the norm… which this is by ten-fold. Can’t wait to see all the seasonal drinks that’s to come from this place!
Came here all the way from the Bronx for a business meeting and it was the best unexpected experience! Firstly, Trey greeted my business partner and I immediately and helped us navigate the menu to find what was best for us he even made sure our order met our satisfaction and made my day with his amazing energy. We ended up spending hours as the place was peaceful even though it had an influx of customers going in and out we weren’t disturbed. We will def be back!
Yazan and Mo are great people! The coffee is amazing and food is a 10/10. The dessert are delicious!
SO cute on the inside I can absolutely see myself doing work here on days off. Wasn’t crowded which was really nice, only complaint is that the music was a little loud for my taste but that’s no big deal. I did manage to snag one of the viral pistachio chocolate bars ($9 with card) and the guy at the counter, Tariq, was so sweet by putting it in an ice cup to make sure it didn’t melt since I was taking it to go! Cold brew was good (imo nothing life-changing but a good size for the price and that’s rare in a city full of $6 cold brews in 8oz cups), and service was great. I definitely want to come back and try their sandwiches and pastries at some point. Just an FYI they do have a cash discount so I highly suggest cash!
Ordered a few drinks with my friends and they all tasted great. Raza was such a great host. Served us with a smile and welcoming attitude.
Nestled in the heart of the city, MOKAFE is more than just a coffee shop — it’s a cozy retreat where tradition meets modern flair. I always pass by this place and decided to try it for the first time! Trey was really great and helped me choose my beverage because they had so many great selections. I ended up getting a matcha americano. It’s AMAZING! I highly recommend!! The ambiance is also beautiful. Thanks a lot Trey!
I recently visited Mokafe and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was inviting, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, and the quality of the coffee was exceptional. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone in search of a great coffee experience. Well done, Mokafe!
Love this spot! It’s clean, comfortable, and has cute local neighborhood cafe vibes. There’s nice seating and free wifi, and the staff is so friendly. Special shoutout to Trey, who’s super cool and made sure to make things right when we noticed an issue with our order. I’ve been here twice and so far have tried the honeycomb, cinnamon roll, lavender latte, and hazelnut mocha latte - all delicious!
tons of seating + delicious drinks and pastries + very kind owners — what more could you ask for :-) i recommend getting their shai adaeni — a yemeni milk tea. but their cinnamon and honey latte was super good too! i typically dislike lattes sweetened by syrups so this was enjoyable. :-) they even warmed our croissant and offered to warm our honeycomb bread which i highly recommend getting!
Mokafé is easily one of the best coffee shops in Astoria, if not the best! My husband and I are here literally every other day for good reason. Coffee (both iced and hot) are winners everytime, and the pastries are so fresh! The staff are incredibly kind and it’s such a positive vibe as soon as you walk in. Shoutout to Ellie for always making my mornings better with her coffee creations.
The ambience in the cafe is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for working, catching up with friends, or just enjoying a peaceful moment alone. Mokafe offers an impressive selection of specialty coffees— this spot is definitely worth a visit.
All of the pastries look amazing. Can’t wait to try some. The coffee was yummy. I had the cinnamon honey latte…over all a great drink (though I did find it a little sweet) and the barista was happy to add another shot to level it out for me!
Mokafe in Astoria is a delightful discovery for anyone seeking a cozy atmosphere and outstanding beverages. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The menu offers an impressive variety of drinks, each crafted with care and quality ingredients. Their coffee is robust and flavorful, and their specialty drinks, like the matcha latte and the signature Mokafe iced tea, are nothing short of spectacular. Every sip is a testament to their dedication to excellence. Overall, Mokafe is a true gem in Astoria, offering a delightful experience that keeps you coming back for more. I highly recommend!
Second time visiting. This place is very clean and ambience is very cozy and gorgeous. Staff are all super pleasant and accommodating. I had a relaxing and enjoyable breakfast consisting of the turkey and cheddar sandwich which was immaculate. It had arugula and had the perfect hint of sweetness. I could only finish half- great for the price although I hope they never raise it. I give it a 10 out of 10. Protein and greens for the win. Who could ask for more? Me because I needed something to wash it down. I sipped on the adeni tea which gave me exactly the comfort I needed. 9 out of 10 just because I grade teas harshly. I took the Yemeni sabaya home which was amazing. That got a 10 out of 10. Also the food preaentation was so cute. 10 out of 10. Thanks to the entire Mokafe team for the hospitality and scrumptious breakfast!
Beautiful new shop! The staff is kind, the drinks are great and affordable. There is plenty of seating and they have free wifi. I love that they are open late. There is not many shops that are open late anymore in the area so this is much needed. You can see that when you visit, because even at 10pm the place can be busy. I haven’t had an issue finding somewhere to sit even when it is busy. I have tried the drip coffee and I have had the honey cinnamon latte. Both were wonderful and I would get them again. Highly suggest checking this coffee shop out if you are in the area.
Stopped by while heading to the gym as it had the Grand Opening sign. The Avocado Toast was fantastic, as well as the plain Croissant. Tried the Yemeni Espresso, and it's unique; if you're into Medium to Dark Roast, definitely worth the try. The facility looked great, definitely coming back with my laptop.
The dubai dream cake was very creamy, best Oreo shooter & dubai dream cake! I’d definitely come back here again and try it! also love the customer service
UPDATE: I’m back again for another review for the viral chocolate bar! And omg sooo good! I had a great conversation with kind staff! And I really enjoyed my experience yet again. I wish Google allowed more than one review because it’s just that good. I also got the lovely pistachio croissant and the beans! So happy with everything and loveeee this spot! So happy they are opening more locations in Times Square!! Everything is made fresh and is so good. They were so nice and informative about how things were made and the coffee origins. My husband loves pour over coffee so glad they had it as it’s surprisingly hard to find places that do around here. We also got some of their beans. I highly recommend the pistachio croissant and loved the Yemeni chai. Everything was delicious!!
No offence to qahwah house but this place is amazing! I got an ice caramel latte with whole milk and a honeycomb pastry. The customer service is amazing the way they make the drinks they actually care and take time and effort even the effort to say if anything else needs to be added they will add like if it’s not strong with caramel their willing to fix your drink. That shows a lot for customer service. Also wifi is decently fast got this review done while stuffing my face. The pastry is so fluffy and sweet with honey and filled with cream cheese which puts it all together and is warmed up which makes it taste amazing. The latte you taste the espresso and the caramel and the ice chunks make it a real ice latte. This is the best Yemeni cafe so far 5/5 also did I mention it’s halal? 6/5 most definitely gonna become a regular customer once again best Yemeni Cafe ever!
Stumbled upon this cafe while walking down Astoria and it was so pretty. The green interior drew us in and compelled us to sit inside. The service was amazing and the staff was very, very nice. We ordered a regular coffee with cream, iced caramel latte, a butter croissant and a m&m cookie. The coffees were amazing and the croissant was so flaky and buttery, very tasty! The cookie unfortunately was to hard even though it was warmed, it was really hard to break apart and didn’t seem so fresh but overall we were happy with our experience and would go back!
Thrilled with this cafe! The staff were incredibly friendly, the aesthetics are top notch, and the coffee was delicious. We also got a sandwich and honeycomb pastry and everything tasted really fresh. I’ll come back here for dates and with my laptop to work. Truly a gem. It’s fancy enough to feel like a luxury experience but operates with a very local neighborhood vibe. I hope to be a regular!
I absolutely love the ice lattes they make here espresso taste very high quality. Barista is very kind when taking my coffee order. Dubai chocolate bar is really delicious!
Esthetically pleasing coffee spot. Loved everything about the interior. We ordered cappuccino latte, iced latte, and honey comb. Honey comb bread is served hot, stuffed with cheese, and topped with honey. It's a very balanced combination. It's surely a good spot to go on a coffee date. Of course, it's a plus point that it's halal. We will surely go back to explore their menu. One thing, their service was a bit slow. We ordered only 3 things, and they served everything with at least around 10 minutes' gap. Getting everything together would have made the experience more enjoyable. Regardless, I would recommend giving them a try.
Absolutely delighted with my visit to Mokafè! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness from the staff. Their kindness created a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that made my and my kids experience truly special. SALMA is such a sweetheart. My daughter loves getting zaatar cream cheese toast from there which they were out of (obviously I went later in the day) Salma saw my daughter upset so she came to give her a hug and offered pastery on the house. The food was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a light lunch, or a decadent dessert, this cafe has something to satisfy every craving. Overall, Mokafè exceeded my expectations with their exceptional service and delicious food. It's a gem that I will definitely be visiting again. If you're looking for a place with friendly faces and fantastic fare, look no further!
Hidden gem in the heart of Astoria Blvd., the vibe was awesome, squeaky clean restroom, very nice seating and overall ambiance. The staff were very very friendly, Salma who took the order, Orcun and Sherif who prepped our drinks were all amazing and accommodating and patient as we had a tall order and changed a few things after placing it. Everything was on spot. They even waited for us to finish eating almost 30 minutes past their closing time with smiles on their faces still as we were leaving which is a rare sight in itself in NY.
Yemeni coffee and tea shops are popping nowadays! Mokafé coffee house had great vibe as well. We had 🍫 Biscoff Iced Latte 🦃 Turkey and Cheddar Sandwich 🥖 Hummus Toast 🫖 Shai Adeni Pot 🍰 Pistachio Tres Leche Cake 🍯 Honey Comb Bread 🍊 Orange Lavender Oat Latte Trey and Ortun’s customer service was on point! they made every customer feel welcomed and knew their usual customer’s orders by heart. Very impressive! Trey also made his infamous orange lavender oat latte with my food blog logo on it! Definitely a must try cafe!
Tried this cafe for the first time, and I am very pleased. Ordered a turkey cheddar sandwich, when a gentleman Raza had helped me with this order and he made it to perfection that I had to get one to go for home. Mokafe has good spacing and service as there is more seating in the quiet room. Pedro had made me one of the best latte's I had ever had which was caramel iced latte. Very good service, highly recommend and will definetly try again
Finally, we have a WFH/study-friendly cafe in Astoria! I came right at opening and it was peaceful, I was able to use my work laptop to log on for my shift. The WiFi was fast and reliable. I ordered an Adeni Chai and honeycomb cake. Both tasted good and hit the spot. The honeycomb cake is the right amount of savory and sweet, and is a softer rather than crispy texture. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Overall it was really calm. It’s super for studying or working because they have a good amount of outlets. I usually have trouble with that at other study cafes. Overall, really liked it and am gonna make it a point to return. The prices are average as far as NYC cafes go.
Absolutely obsessed with this little café! Not only is the space cozy and aesthetically perfect, but the energy is just unmatched. Nan and Ellie are the heart of the place—so kind, welcoming, and always full of good vibes. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience. The drinks are heavenly and the treats are just as good. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. 10/10, already planning my next visit!
First Trey and Fernanda are wonderful. Trey makes a strong iced coffee drink and Fernanda is warm and elegant. The drinks vary and are satisfying like the croissant with the Pistachio cream. I find it to be a perfect accompaniment to any drink. I took my iced pistachio drink to go but have dined here before and it's laid back and a welcoming atmosphere.
Great wifi. Incredible coffee and espresso drinks, pastries, AND sandwiches! I got a pastrami sandwich this time and a black coffee, but their avocado toast is also great, and they make great cappuccinos. Lots of seating and plugs for laptops, and they have an entire quiet section in the back if you want no noise to work. Staff is also always friendly and helpful. I love this café!
Mokafe is a fantastic spot! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The cafe is always clean and has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Their bakery selection is super fresh and absolutely delicious—you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. But the highlight for me is their tea—hands down the best I’ve had! Whether you’re stopping by for a quick snack or a relaxing cup of tea, Mokafe is the place to go. Highly recommend!
This coffee spot is a unique blend of a traditional coffee bar with a middle eastern twist. They have a good selection of coffees and teas, along with a wide variety of pastries options. They have sandwiches as well with unique combinations of ingredients. The sandwiches are okay, probably not their strong suit. The decor is modern and cool. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The honeycomb pastry is very delicious!! Highly recommend!! It's sweet but also soft and savory!!
MokaFe on Steinway St. is a gem! Their pastries are absolutely yummy—fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a quick treat or a cozy morning. The staff, especially Raza, is incredibly helpful and warm, making every visit feel welcoming and special. Highly recommend stopping by for a delicious experience and top-notch service!
Highly recommend the biscoff latte, cinnamon honey latte. Flat biscoff croissant pastry & pistachio one as well. Super clean cafe. Ramzy & Raza are so friendly and welcoming, amazing customer service. Great music and good vibes all around. 10/10 def will come back!
Tried this cafe for the first time, and I am very pleased. Ordered a turkey cheddar sandwich, when a gentleman Raza had helped me with this order and he made it to perfection that I had to get one to go for home. Very good service, highly recommend and will definetly try again
I absolutely love this cafe!! The ambience is so cute and welcoming, with perfect seating options. The cookies and desserts are so delicious with reasonable prices as well. This is my go-to spot for chilling with friends or studying. The staff, especially Nan and Ellie are so welcoming and kind to customers! They always make our cafe visits enjoyable. 100% recommend!!
Stopped by this cute café in Astoria and loved it! The oat latte was really good, and the pistachio croissant was so fresh and flavorful. The interior is also very nice - cozy, stylish, and perfect for catching up or getting some work done. Definitely coming back!
I wanted to thank Ramzy and Khaled for their hospitality. Went here after dinner with 2 people and had a great time. I had the Baklava and chamomile tea. Will be coming again soon.
I don’t normally go out of my way to give reviews but these days I’ve been exploring different cafes in queens for studying, all I’m going to say is I studied for hours. They have outlets everywhere, it’s warm and cozy, the staff is very well trained, professional, and quick. it gets busy later in the night though. I just wished their salted caramel latte was a bit more.. SALTED caramel lol but I’ll definitely be coming here often
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Coffee 🌟🌟🌟 The space is very comfortable and thoughtfully laid out—great for both working on a laptop or catching up with friends. There’s a wide selection of delicious pastries to choose from, which pair nicely with their coffee. A cozy and versatile café that balances social and solo vibes well.
open late, perfect for late night study/ work. such friendly baristas that will make you the best coffee/ tea. delicious pastries and sandwiches. comfortable seating and music is not too loud either. 🌟✨positive vibes 💖🌟✨ I found myself looking forward to going to the cafe and finishing my work!!
Cute, clean, and contemporary coffee shop with free wifi, a great co-working area, and nooks for catching up. There's a hightop table with outlets as well as little booths throughout the cafe. Ramzy and Faza are pretty nice, patient and friendly. They granted me time to figure out my order, and tended to other guests while I examined the display cases. Ramzy explained the different options to me and helped me avoid pistachios (hard to do when they're in half the pastries!). Let them know of any allergies and they'll take good care of you. I loved the pesto sandwich: mozz cheese, pesto, and heirloom tomatoes on a flaky croissant, toasted. It's delicious, and a little oily from the pesto so keep some napkins handy.
Hands-down. The best avocado toast I’ve ever had in a very long time. SABAYA Was beyond this world, get it with honey. Olive bagel with cream cheese with something to live for. Honey, cinnamon latte, brown sugar, shaken, espresso, and even regular coffee was phenomenal delicious and proud to have been a customer here. Melak, Sebastian were 100% friendly, helpful and kind.
I come here all the way from the other side of queens to do my remote class. There’s a quiet area on the opposite side of the outdoor seating and wifi is available. My go-to is the buffalo chicken sandwich which is so flavorful and filling. I’ve had their pistachio latte and honey latte, yum! Very sweet. The staff are also super flexible and friendly. I’ll be bringing friends from out of town whenever I can.
I started coming here after school to study, and it’s become my go-to place for both focus and comfort. The staff are not only super kind and welcoming, but also outspokenly pro-Palestinian, which makes the space feel even more aligned with my values—it’s rare to find a café that cares about justice and community as much as good coffee. Their refreshers are amazing perfect pick-me-up when I don’t want caffeine + the weather is hot and the bakery section never disappoints—everything tastes fresh and homemade. Whether you’re looking for a cozy study spot, a quick drink, or a place that actually stands for something, this café delivers all of it.
must try!pet friendly. Great pistachio croissant, the Yemeni milk tea is really special. My picky coffee drinker husband loves the cardamon latte, really rare. The environment is amazing too. The front space food for chatting, the outdoor area and the quiet zone for study or work. Would come back!
MoKafe is an absolute gem in Astoria! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place had something special. The cozy yet modern decor, warm lighting, and laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect spot to grab a coffee, get some work done, or just relax with friends. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. Now, let’s talk about the cookies! I tried the Oreo & Cream cookie, and it was hands down one of the best cookies I’ve ever had. It was the perfect balance of crispy on the edges and soft and gooey in the center, with rich Oreo chunks and a creamy filling that made every bite absolutely delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put real care into their baked goods. On top of that, their coffee was smooth and well-made, complementing the sweetness of the cookie perfectly. Whether you're stopping by for a quick treat or planning to stay for a while, MoKafe is a must-visit. Great vibes, amazing cookies, and top-notch service—I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Woman behind the counter was amazing and deserves a raise. She was incredibly friendly and obviously loves the place and so wanted to share all her knowledge and love. I forgot to order a non dairy drink and they were happy to remake it even though we offered to pay. This was my first time trying a pistachio latte & it was delicious. I tasted two items one sweet and one savory but didn’t like either of them enough to purchase when I return. The space is really gorgeous; lots of light with beautifully designed (comfortable)chairs and seating area. Lots of outlets, WiFi and another separate building in the back yard for more space/privacy. Perfect spot for meetings dates of work. I’m not a fan of the huge logo on the back wall. It’s tacky and takes away from an otherwise really lovely modern cafe design.
Went here with family, food is ok it’s not bad but it’s nothing that I would come back for however they do stop serving sandwiches after 5pm which I wish was shown somewhere on the google info. The service on the other hand is great very communicative and helpful the prices are ok could be better but definitely not that good for the quality and taste of the food, the best item that I tried would be the cookie shown in the image it was good might come back for it but overall decent food atmosphere is ok,service is great! 4/5
Got the knafeh croissant and hazelnut mocha. The croissant had a great filling and chocolate shell, chilled so that the chocolate stayed solid. The mocha was okay, didn't taste much hazelnut (and it cost $8). The interior was decorated very nicely and the bathroom was clean, but the floors were sticky. Overall, an aesthetic experience but quite pricey for the quality.
As you'd note in my recent reviews, I'm in this huge Pistachio Latte phase so basically checking off places that serve it. Have had my eye on this place as it seemed very promising. First off, the place is pretty with their all green theme with nice tables, seats, bar seating with charging station. The staff is warm and friendly, shout out to Ellie. She was super nice. Probably the reason why this is a 4-star. The Pistachio latte though was just a latte. No hint of pistachio for me, not sure if they have Pistachio milk, cream, or syrup. It tasted just like a regular latte. I would know, I have a subscription to Pistachio milk and make my own pistachio latte every day. So I hope they really improve on this as I wouldn't mind coming back. Toilet was also kinda dirty and not kept well, so much so that I just left without using it. Hope they take note and work on these as it seems they have a lot of potential.
October 5,2025. Great place, even greater coffees and food. I'm reviewing just to let the owner know that I walked in the store at 1:30am and asked for a cuppacino and they said they cleaned the machine so can't make me one.If you're open upto 2am why would they clean it so early? They were done cleaning at 1:30am,who knows what time they started and putting down all the coffee items.
9/20/25 Went in on Sat night with friends. Overall quality not that bad but I wish they used less sugar or gave an option for reduced sugar options like they do at Prince Tea House where you can choose the level of sugar percentage you want. Overall decor was nice and the place was clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating to customizations. With some better tweaks they can do much better. Wish them luck!
2️⃣visit: Their quality dropped somehow. The croissant I got was dried, and the cappuccino was not creamy. Unfriendly staff treating guests without patience. Didn’t get my order correct, and responded nothing. I had a good experience when visiting their BK location and the vibe was warm, lovely, better than here which was also the reason why I visited here this time. It was disappointing since they do have good teas and pastries.
After my 2nd visit here I have determined Professionalism and food preparation at this location is unfortunately not equally comparable to that of their Melville location. Beverages served extremely sweet by default with no deviation for customer’s preference and sandwiches not prepared as good (same ingredients but rushed). Also 2/14 I arrived at 8am and store remained closed even as it passed beyond 9am. Aside from these factors, the decor and cleanliness is excellent. But consistency of quality and timeliness is just as important!
I ordered a Nutella croissant and Dubai brownie, mainly for the brownie because it looked so good. I open it, and go to try it, and it was literally a rock. I’ve never seen something so stale. I kept hitting it with the fork and after a few tries some bits and pieces cracked off. Like brownie brittle, but with the taste of staleness and fridge. Very disappointing. I’ve received stale items before from stores, but never THIS stale. As if it’s been sitting there I don’t even know how long.
I used to go to Mokafe every day but something happened in the last few weeks. The quality has gone down so much that I don't know if I'll ever go back there again! Today both of the desserts I usually have were terrible!!! I always have the Nutella croissant but today, don't get me wrong, the design looks like poop and the brownie was uneven in size, how am I supposed to buy that for $10? You honestly lost a customer.
