Opinions de Yayoi Ramen Albans
The food is delicious! The atmosphere is relaxed with bright warm wood tones. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The perfect 'go to' place for flavorful, well prepared, and healthy meal.
Came to this place today for the first time. The food was delicious, the staff was great. The place was very nice and clean. Good to come in a group or by yourself. It was not a long wait to get your food. I order the crispy chicken bun and the chashu pork bun. The chicken was the crispiest I had even had. Both so good. I had a shrimp tempora room. Very, very delicious. My favorite. I also ordered the Gyoza (fried dumplings) and the stir-fried ramen noodles. For drink I had the iced Jasmine Green Tea. Everything I ordered was delicious. I didn't get to try the soups but definitely will next time. I recommend this place.
I had an amazing experience at this Japanese noodle house! The broth was rich and full of flavor without being too salty, and the noodles were perfectly cooked with great texture. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick, even during the busy dinner rush. The restaurant was clean and had a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic place for anyone craving high-quality Japanese noodles. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it! I would like to give this store 10 stars
Yayoi Ramen has quickly become a contender for top ramen in the area, and for good reason! Their pork buns are truly exceptional – the perfect balance of fluffy bun and savory, tender pork. Seriously, don't miss out on these. The tonkotsu ramen was another highlight. The broth was rich and creamy, coating the perfectly cooked noodles. It's a deeply satisfying and flavorful bowl that hits all the right notes. While most of our experience was fantastic, the stir-fry ramen was a bit of a letdown. Unfortunately, the noodles seemed overcooked, resulting in a somewhat mushy texture, and it was also noticeably greasy. This was the only dish that didn't quite live up to the high standards set by the rest of the meal. Despite this one misstep, the service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant itself boasts a clean and pleasant atmosphere, making for a comfortable dining experience. Overall, Yayoi Ramen offers a lot to love, especially their incredible pork buns and delicious tonkotsu ramen. While the stir-fry ramen needs some attention, the excellent service and inviting atmosphere ensure that I will definitely be coming back to explore more of their menu.
This place is located in a small shopping center near Roosevelt Field Mall. We went here at 11am on a Friday. The decor was Japanese with industrial thrown in. There was a cute mural on one wall. We ordered the Niku-Yaki Ramen and the Tonkotsu Ramen. The ramen noodles were chewy and bouncy. The pork belly was very tender. The broth by itself was a little salty but flavorful. I don't usually drink the broth but I did finish it. We also tried the Breezy Harbor and Pineapple Island drinks. They were on the sweet side. They came in the plastic takeout cups boba tea places use. Didn't mind too much since I took it with me when we left. They also didn't use regular menus. They used the takeout menu. I guess it saves costs on printing fancier menus. My only complaints are the food served does not look like the photos. I.E. my Niku-Yaki Ramen. The pork belly had a dark sauce in the picture. It made the ramen look richer. Service was fine. They weren't rude but they also weren't friendly. They asked for your order and then served your food and drink in silence. No, enjoy your food or do you need anything else. Overall great ramen and I will go back.
I've been to many ramen shops in Nassau County, this is the largest, most authentic menu by far. I am a big fan of japanese curry and it is hard to come by, and Im an even bigger fan of Curry Udon. The udon is delicious, the Curry is rich and savory, and they are very generous with thr Curry sauce. The tonkatsu ramen is excellent, and you can tell the difference between in house made broth and other places that buy their broth. And the chef spicy sauce is an excellent side for your ramen to spice it up while enjoying your meal. I cant recommend this place enough.
Went for a late lunch today with my boys who love Japanese ramen. They rate it a good 8/10 for their tonkatau ramen and loved the thick pork pieces. I had the crunchy chicken bun and it was crispy and yummy. I like that its like a Japanese fast dining experience. It's great for families. The prices are great for trying a lot of little things with an entree and for experiencing something new in the area. My family will be back in the summer for lunches for sure. The atmosphere is clean and service is great. The menu is pretty Japanese with the curry and donburi additions. Would like to try different things next time for sure! My Thai boba drink was good too. They customized it and made it less sweet and less boba for me. Love the free parking. Perfect!
We had an incredible experience at this ramen restaurant! From start to finish, the service was outstanding - the staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered kimchi ramen and it was some of the best I've ever had. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced. We also loved the chashu pork buns. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making for a great dining experience. I can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to come back!
Amazing! This spot is very cute! It’s our second time here and it didn’t disappoint. The staff here is super friendly and very attention their customers. We had the ramen of course and the broth was delicious! Drinks wise, we did a pot of tea which was great. Must have the desert!! Overall, great ramen spot! Will be back!
We recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was a delightful experience. Having been to many Asian establishments, we were eager to try this location, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant has plenty of parking spaces conveniently located at the front, making it easily accessible. We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, and the atmosphere was quiet, comfortable, and welcoming. The service was very good. The staff was attentive, particularly the gentleman refilling our water glasses. He never left them empty, ensuring we were always well taken care of. Our food arrived quickly, which added to the overall positive experience. However, the customer service could be a little better. When we walked in, nobody greeted us at the door; instead, they waved us over from a distance. Similarly, when we were leaving, nobody said goodbye or invited us to return. Considering the restaurant was not busy during our visit, the staff could have been more focused on each table, which would have made the experience even better. While we love ramen and noticed they had a great option to build your own ramen, we decided to try something different this time. We ordered the salmon teriyaki bento box, seaweed salad with beef short ribs, and chicken karaage donburi with fried rice. Each dish was delicious, perfectly prepared, and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. The menu included a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a good selection of teas. The prices were affordable and very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and experience. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 4.5 out of 5 stars. This is a great spot for a relaxed lunch with colleagues or a casual meet-up with friends. The friendly service, great food, inviting atmosphere, and reasonable pricing make it a place I recommend if you like Japanese cuisine. With a little improvement in customer service, it could easily become a five-star experience.
Almost everything I ate at YAYOI RAMEN was amazing. I got the spicy chashu park bun, which was amazing for $3.50. The kuro ramen was good but I’ll prob wouldn’t get it again. But the Chicken Karaage Donburi with fried rice was amazing. The soft shell crabs was alright. The Eel donburi was really tasty as well. The mango boba was refreshing. Overall it was a positive experience and I’ll for sure come back. 8/10
Came to this place when they just opened for the day, and were the first customers. Had brunch with bro. This ramen place was just okay. The chicken karage were too big and hard to eat, was expecting to be smaller like popcorn chicken but different places serve their dish differently. The hot tea was by the pot for $3. the staff was very attentive.
First time eating at Ikedo Ramen. Atmosphere was clean, well-lit and we were immediately greeted and seated upon arrival. We ordered the takoyaki, spicy chicken bun, miso ramen, tonkatsu ramen, curry crispy chicken over white rice. They are currently running a promo of a free order of gyoza or chicken karage with an order of over $20. Everything came out fairly quickly and piping hot. The chicken karage had 4 gwroua sizes pieces and the sauce was delicious! Broth for the two ramen dishes were flavorful. Curry was delicious as well. Would definitely come back again. Love that there is a new ramen spot not too far from home!
This is a great place and I come here a lot, but on my last visit with friends, the waiter came with his airpods in and we had to repeat ourselves when ordering (maybe he would've heard us better if he just took his airpods out!) then when came time to pay we left a 10% tip, which is considered low nowadays, but tipping culture is overrated and this guy (who might've been new cause I am there often and have never seen him before) came back to our table and asked for a higher tip. If he was a better server he definitely would've gotten one, but beware. If you come here you may receive poor service and a demand for a large tip after.
