Opinions de Café Patoro Albee Square
Really enjoyed their waffles and PDQ sandwiches. The iced tea is very delicious and I would recommend it. Seating is limited but everything can be taken to go and enjoyed on the pier. The brigadeiro cookie sandwich is also really good, the cookies are soft enough that they don't crumble but sturdy enough to eat single handed.
Casual/cozy Brazilian coffee shop in Seaport. I stopped in for a late breakfast on a Saturday afternoon. It was a very chilly winter day so there weren’t too many patrons. I ordered a cappuccino and pesto chicken sandwich. The cappuccino was good, but I was really blown away by the sandwich. I love how they used pão de queijo as a bun! I just got back from Rio and can honestly say that the pão de queijo here was just as good if not better than the ones I ate in Brazil! Friendly service and the coffee/food came out quickly!
Me and a dear friend had breakfast here and the coffee walnut with oatmeal latte was devine! Also to mention the brazillian cheese puff was warm and delicious! Staff was amazing and service excellent. Felt such a local in New York City. Will deffinitely come back and stop over again when back in NYC. Must try? Everything ! all was made fresh daily and price was just right! Would recommend the all toping cheese puffs with the sesame seeds devine!!
The staff are fantastic - love Rafael and Eric especially but they're all lovely!!! Very nice drinks although I think they have changed their coffee supplier recently and the coffee is not as nice. Still good but the other type was delicious. Great baked goods! They have gluten-free goodies for those who need them. It's warm, inviting and comfortable. I go every single week without fail and have done for the last few years ☺️
If you're looking for high quality coffee and breakfast in the seaport/financial district area, Patoro hits the spot. The cappuccino is strong and tasty to kickstart the day. I love the bacon, egg & cheese sandwich with the noticeably delectable bacon. I'd honestly pay $20 (menu price is $15) for a few more strips in the sandwich. All the ingredients are top notch & you get what you pay for. The different varieties of pão de queijo were also a pleasant surprise with the "everything" (like a bagel), a personal fave. All are soft, warm, chewy. Staff is really friendly, and the Brazilian vibes is a nice change of pace from other generic cafes in the area and city.
It was not easy finding a solid cafe in the Seaport area. Thankfully a shopworker in the area recommended Cafe Patoro. It was an inspired suggestion. Service was friendly & polite. Lighting is bright. Tables & chairs are modest. Families were enjoying a snack. They have a vast selection of baked goods & savoury plates. They know how to make a very flavourful flat white & latte.
A small and cute cafe near Seaport. I usually walk my pup around the neighborhood and like to stop by this cafe from time to time (my pup also drags me to that cafe so she can pick up some crumbs on the ground). I always pick up a bag of Pao de Queijo. And this time, brought some to work to share with my coworkers which they really enjoyed. My fave is the original but they do have other options like everything bagel seasoning and bacon with cheese. They also have other Brazilian pastries and sandwiches which I have yet to try. Will be back to try their coffee and other pastries. But if you enjoy Brazilian cheese bread, definitely a must try.
A lovely Brazilian café with fantastic pastries. The Pão de Queijo is a standout, especially with unique twists like the everything and jalapeño flavors, which add a fun spin to the traditional flavor. Their sweets are also very yum - the almond croissant is buttery without being overly sweet, the cornbread is rich in corn flavor, and the caramelized banana bread is wonderfully moist and soft. Every pastry is a winner here!
Tiny little Cafe in this lovely area. Speciality is their little cheese breads which sold at 5 ball pieces for$6-. I can say they are quite delicious and came in traditional cheese, kalmata olive, and gluten free versions. The Bacon and Egg toastie was also delicious. The cafe is small.. seating a max of 15 people along a line of 5 small square tables but it seems to work fine with a large number of customers popping in for takeaway orders. The staff are super helpful, friendly and even though you bus your own table, there is a jovial, familial feel to the cafe that serves it well. Highly recommend pit stop if you're in the area.
Very nice little Brazilian coffee shop. The refresher drinks are great! Fruity and just what you need for the summer. The cheese breads are great too. The service was super nice - they explained everything, very calm, friendly, patient! Totally recommended for a quick drink and a few dessert/cheese bread snacks.
We stopped during a beautiful day for some Brazilian Cheese Bread, my wife is Brazilian and my girlfriend half Japanese and Brazilian so we all trotted day one fine Sunday. Needless to say, it did not disappoint; cheesy is an understatement. Soft and fresh, a bodacious savory snack while exploring the Seaport area. The second is Brigadeiro cake, chocolate is and understatement again!! I know now I love Brazilian women, they tasteful and magical people - one cannot go wrong with the food or culture.
Amazing coffee shop! The Brazilian cheese puffs are not to be missed. The pastries and sandwiches are all made fresh in house and of high quality. They have oat, soy, and almond milk for alternatives and whole and 2% for dairy options. The place is a bit small inside but full of charm and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend checking this place out on your walk around the seaport district.
Legitimately the best pão de queijo I've had in my life. If you come between 3-4 PM on weekdays, you can get 1 dozen for $8, rather than the $1/each price that they are usually. Beverages are fantastic and feel affordable, unlike so many spots in NYC. I'm so glad that we found it because after my husband and I went in to our hotel with my au lait and my husband's drip coffee, the staff at the front desk said it was the best coffee shop in the area!
Loved the pan de quejio. I can’t say I’ve had an authentic one so I don’t have a good baseline, but on the relative scale of a good breakfast snack- this is up there. They’re fresh and they heat them up for you, and they’re perfectly chewy and savory. The pictures don’t do them justice, just try! Coffee was just OK!
This was a very neat cafe that focused on Brazilian flavors. I will say I thought the food may have over shadowed the beverages but I also don't drink coffee so don't hang on my word there. I got a matcha latte I've had better but obviously I don't think that's what this place specializes in so I think it can be forgiven. I had the a croissant sandwich and my lady had these prosciutto sandwiches (sorry I don't know the exact names) they we're both outstanding albiet maybe on the pricey side but you're in the seaport district so it's to be expected.
Breakfast was great! No flavored lattes, but the coffee was good! The croissant sanwhich is their “breakfast sandwich.” This sandwich has their house sauce, which has horseradish in it. Very good! The egg muffin sandwich is their “bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich.” The bread bites are a Brazilian specialty and have assorted flavors. Get there early, because the bread bites sell out! Indoor seating is limited.
Just ordered a cappuccino and they gave me warm milk and water because there was literally NO coffee in. I paid $11 plus tip for that and a pastry. This has got to be a joke to advertise cappuccino and not put coffee in it. When I got back to work and poured the drink out, it was only milk and cinnamon. I'm so mad and will never visit this place again.
