Had a great experience at City Island Lobster House. The seafood was fresh and delicious! I had the broiled lobster with shrimp stuffing. Can't wait to visit again.
The best seafood on the strip! Our server Dianna (or Daine) was so sweet and attentive! This is my second time visiting this restaurant and I’ll be back!
Our waiterwas Moises, he was very good and attentive. The food was fresh and fulfilling. I ordered the margarita and it was the best I ever had. I don’t know what they doing back there but the whole team here was definitely on point. This will definitely be my primary choice. Next time I come to city Island.
This place is awesome. We sat on the porch overlooking the water. That garlic bread is everything people claim. Just amazing. I knocked off one star because the lobster was overcooked. But I'll still be back. Beware, this place is not cheap. Steve was just phenomenal! 💸💸
I have been to City Island all my life, and I have never been at this location. Once you cross the bridge, you make a left. They were we welcoming and have valet parking. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Their menu have a wide selection of things to choose from. Not crowded at all, and you can select to eat indoors or outdoors. We will definitely return.
Love this place, my waiter was great he was very knowledgeable about menu and he gave me great recommendation. He knew the size of the orders so we would not over order. They serve a lot 1 order was good for 3 and we had leftover. Great place to take a date aswell. Nicely lit not to bright and not to dark. Very cozy. Definitely going back.
First, I want to thank our waiter, Steve; he was terrific! From the moment we arrived, Steve was attentive and professional, explaining the dinner plates on the menu. My wife and I tried the steak, lobster course, and lobster clam bake special! It's a great recommendation. It's a great place with a wonderful view. My wife and I really enjoyed the food and the service!
Lobster house is always great. Service is excellent. Very attentive, friendly and quick. Food is excellent especially the crab legs oreganata style and the shrimp parmigiana. The complimentary garlic bread and salad are also great.
We were greeted so kindly by Victor amd then our waiter Roberto was amazing!!! The whole staff was so kind and attentive, will definitely be coming back and recommending as well! Thank you so much for the amazing service!
Went to a company dinner and can’t rave enough. From the incredible staff to the incredibly portioned meals. Lobster, Prime Rib, Tilapia…. there was no bad choice. Each was delicious and not a complaint was heard,( which is impressive in groups of 50 or more). Would definitely recommend to anyone hosting an event.
One of the best places to eat at in City Island! Lobster house is my go-to restaurant in City Island. They start you off with a GRAND antipasto, salad and bread. They feast yourselves with the extravagant menu options they offer. Seafood, steaks, BBQ, pasta - you name it, they have it. They also have a great selection of drink specialties that is uniquely City Island. But for me, the best thing about City Island Lobster house is their customer service. Each time I visit the place and encounter a different wait staff, their customer service is top notch. They will give you the best one you will ever have. Come for the food and experience great customer service.
Please bring your coins. Beware Friday night is busy but with patience, you shall be rewarded. The food was expensive but worth the dollar. Each meal comes with bread, antipasto, and a choice of baked potato, mashed potato or rice. I had Maryland crab cakes and rice. I enjoyed it. I loved the jumbo shrimp that my husband ordered and garlic bread given with the appetizers. I was also presented a birthday ice cream which was decent. Service was nice and our waiter personable. I would definitely go back and get the crab legs.
This place was phenomenal. I've never been here before and for the first time I have to say I was seriously impressed. Our waitress Danielle was amazing. When she said she was bring out the salad I didn't expect garlic bread with a side of fresh marinara, blueberry cornbread and an antipasto bowl. I introduced my bestfriend and his brother to Fried Ravioli and they fell in love with it. For my drink I had the Frankenstein Monster, when I tell that drink hits!!!! It hits (all imma say is 5 Rums) I had the Alaskan King Crab Legs with Garlic Pasta on the side. My friends had the Jumbo Shrimp Meal and The Ribeye w/ Shrimp Combo. I got a slice of Delicious Moist Carrot Cake w/ whipped cream for dessert and we finsided off the meal with a chilled glass of Amaretto. Everything was delicious. I like that they didn't rush you to order. They let you enjoy all the appetizers before asking if your ready for the main course. I can diffently see myself coming back here. Maybe next time with my mom and sister.
Love this place! The food was delicious, the service was amaizing and the place was cozy and family friendly. The first time we went, Oscar Navarro was our waiter and he made sure we had a great experience. We did so, and we went back the next day. They all remembered us, even the owner and they pampered us in every detail. They treated us like princesses! Thank you, guys, for making our evening one that we will never forget. See you next time!
Loved it!!! Let me start off by saying make a reservation before you go but not if your going to sit outside by the water. The service was excellent no complaints, especially with them being so busy. It was starting to get busy after 4 pm. The drinks are on point the staff was amazing! We had the lobster rolls I have to say it was one of the best places for fresh sea food . I also loved the courtesy armaretto shot at the end of the meal 😀. This place is worth the money and worth the wait ! The atmosphere is laid back and romantic. I will definitely go there again.
The food was Amazing, services was excellent.. Roberto did a great job recommendation... he definitely went above and beyond. I really liked the Calamari and also the Pasta I order.. I really recommend this place... Food was great and very tasty... I will definitely comeback soon.
I love this place. The food is great and the service is great. The portions are very large and the food is flavorful. They give you garlic bread, salad, olives, assorted cheese, and blueberry cake once you are seated. The garlic bread is so good. Seafood is pricey so it is typical pricing, similar to the surrounding area. Drinks are very good as well. Lots of outdoor seating and it is located by the water so you get a bit of a view while you eat.
Food was EXCELLENT!!! My family and I were seated right away. Employees were courteous, efficient, attentive and super friendly. The pictures show Jumbo shrimps (comes with rice) with broccoli in garlic oil (photo of 🥦 wasn't in the shot). Second order of Jumbo shrimps with Linguini and whole Lobster. 😋🤤No complaints 👍
Lobster house is the best restaurant in city island. I go there so much I get treated like family. The food is amazing. I especially enjoy going during the summer to sit in the back outdoor area that faces the water. It makes you feel like you are completely somewhere else out of the Bronx having a wonderful dinner. Antonio is the best. He provides the best customer service. He is always attentive and very pleasent. Overall everyone there is wonderful. I highly recommend the Loster House. I have tried almost everything in the menu. In these pictures is the prime rib and the chicken parm.
Impeccable service 👩🍳🤌🏻 my Daughter took her Husband and myself for our birthday we had a goid time the everything was so nice the service was the best I ever had food was amazing the drinks 10 🌟 🤩 price sid not matter the food the service wad worth every penny plus a generous tip worth it there Pina Colada drink whew so good I had shrimp house salad baked potato the garlic bread and salad they bring before your meal the house dressing 😋😋😋I do not eat olives but I ate them at Lobster House thats how good there food try it im ready to go back
I had the most pleasant experience today at the Lobster House today. Owner Joe came over and introduced himself. Great guy. Staff is excellent all over this business. Food is top notch. This is my go to spot from now on.
Food: starts you off with free garlic bread and salad, which were both high quality and did not feel like just pass off items. We ordered the BBQ feast for 2. Be advised that this meal can feed 4-5 persons with leftovers for a doggie bag. Especially if you already ate the garlic bread, salad and an app. Seafood was fresh! The jumbo shrimp was massive. Crab and lobster did not disappoint and the ribs and chicken were tender and tasty. Drinks were just right and priced well. 5 stars ⭐️ Service: firstly, there is valet parking and they didn’t even expect a tip 💯. Food service was one of the best I’ve received at a restaurant. Note: it’s not a buttoned up fancy dining, so the waiters are relaxed, friendly, inviting, they’re pretty much easy going beach dudes who will chat you up while you booze up. Shout out to Billy, our server who was the chillest dude ever! 5 stars ⭐️ Atmosphere: The chairs and tables are basic, nothing fancy about the furniture and I think that’s intentional to match the vibe. Sit on the outside for the sunset view. Take in the yachts and the swan families while you dine. When you’re finished dining, take a walk on the dock and snap some pics with your date or your family to remember the vibe. 5 stars ⭐️ I will highly recommend this spot for city folk from the other boroughs who want to get out of the hustle and enjoy something different: fresh seafood, a chill vibe, nice ambiance.
Very happy we stumbled upon this little gem. Loved the lobster roll. Service was INCREDIBLE. Big shout out to Billy and rest of the crew. Made our day!
Seafood lovers? Lobster House in the Bronx is where your seafood dreams come true—and your napkin supply gets obliterated! This charming, family-run spot serves up broiled lobster and king crab so delicious, you'll swear you hear them calling your name from the plate. Throw in some jumbo shrimp, and you've got a feast fit for a seafood king. And the portions? Let’s just say we ordered for two and got enough to feed a small village. The staff welcomed us like long-lost relatives, complete with big smiles and a readiness to ensure we left in a happy seafood coma. Before the main course, we were treated to garlic bread and salad, which were just the right teasers for the oceanic bounty ahead. Pro tip: if you're a lobster lover, leave your manners and maybe even your dignity at the door. Things are about to get deliciously messy, and you don't want anything holding you back. House Lobsters is the place for a casual, laugh-filled, seafood extravaganza. 😃
Good food. I ate lobster. My son ate the steak with lobster. Every plate was delicious. Service was excellent. Prices are reasonable. I rather pay more money for better service than pay expensive prices for terrible service. The area we sat in felt a little cold. I was okay with that however it should be warmer for seniors. My family and I will be returning. Thank you Lobster House. Happy new year!
I haven't been here for years, and it hasn't changed, a little outdated except for the outdoor dining, I don't think it was there last time I was here. Welcomed addition to the location, the food and the service were great, a little pricey but worth it. Eating outdoors was great , the view of the marina made this a great experience. When you arrive they serve you a house salad and garlic bread courtesy of the house, we shared the mussels on a red sauce, it was excellent, my wife ordered shrimp Parmigian, it looked delicious and she really enjoyed it, I had the lobster clambake, very reasonably priced, although it was served with only a couple of clams and mussels and let's not forget the corn on the cob, this course started with a delicious New England clam showder . Definitely worth it
We visited on a Sunday afternoon and this place was packed - and for good reason! Although the ambiance wasn't the best (we were seated in an outdoor tent in the parking lot), this place has delicious food and strong drinks. The service was also great and it is family-friendly! The prices are high, sure, but the seafood is fresh and seasoned to perfection. Looking forward to my next visit - and hoping for a marina view!
Lovely family restaurant. Went fora late lunch on a Monday, its Amazing, how quickly this restaurant gets filled. However, the quality of the attention received on behalf of all the staff and the quality of the food is exceptional. Fresh, flavorful, great portion and presentation, it's a hidden gem. Place is ample, good music, clean. Valet parking service available. If you too city island this should be one of your destination, It's a must go 100%
One of the best restaurant of City Island! Really good seafood and their garlic bread is the bomb! Location: It is located in City Island. There is a lot of seating inside and outside. I prefer the outside because it is by the water. There is huge parking lot. Service: the staff were nice, they are very attentive and give us recommendations. Food: The food is always good! Twice I have been here and it was always good. FREE GARLIC BREAD: omg this was the best garlic bread I had! It was so tasty and you can ask for more. BBQ FEAST: this feast is the dinner for two, but for real it can be until 4 people. Bbq back ribs and chicken was cooked well. Fried shrimp was my favorite, very huge shrimp. The lobster is big and lots of meat inside. LOBSTER HOUSE and LOBSTER FEAST: this is the second option for the feast dinner for two. 2 big lobsters, rice, shrimp, crab and corn. Personally my favorite than the bbq feast! SHRIMP and LOBSTER ALFREDO over linguine: you have to get this! The linguine was cooked al dente. The shrimp and lobster are huge! The sauce is tasty and creamy. TARTUFO: it is just an ice cream covered with chocolate Price rating: 7/10. To be honest the price is not bad for seafood and Italian pasta. I will definitely come back here if I am craving for seafood and Italian pasta.
This place is a family favorite of mines. Not only is the customer service always great but the food never fails to make me ask for a to-go box. For 5 people we paid $360+ with a tip. I would say this is the best location for seafood in all of city island. There is a reason this place is separated from all other restaurants in CI. Families, couples, even children love coming here. One night, they sang 3 birthday songs in a row. This place is serious business and I wish them well in the future. GEMS OF THE BRONX!
Okay i tried this spot again. What a difference the food was excellent I had the fried snapper fillet. Impeccable service. Nice scenic view from the water. Steven the waiter was wonderful and kind and very attentive. Happy eating. Came back the next day to eat some more and was greeted by a nasty valet male who was real adamant about parking my car. I went to park my own car and then when he spotted me he told me I would have to leave back out and wait for him to park my car. I left out alright and went to Sammy’s down the street. I’ve been going to this restaurant for years. I got turned away and asked to leave because I did not allow this fake valet man inside of my car to park it. The nerve
Amazing place to have dinner. Not cheap AT ALL! I spent $190 for 2 entrees and 4 drinks with tip. The staff was awesome and very personable. However, the food made up for it. Nothing was overcooked and all of it was fresh. I had the Broiled Platter and my girlfriend had the Fried Platter. It was AMAZING! There is parking on site with a pay-what-you-want valet service. I gave the Valet attendant $10. It's best to park on site as there is little to no parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
Just returned from celebrating my daughters associates degree at this great establishment. We were served by Londell, but all the staff was amazing and attentive. There was no wait for seating, as this is a huge restaurant. The staff was respectful, professional, friendly, and accommodating. I believe John was the maitre d' or manager and he was very involved in making sure the guests were happy. The drinks were great but the food was out of this world. The portions were huge and the seafood was fresh and tasty. Already planning a return trip! It's not a bougie place with white tablecloths, but this unpretentious establishment is worth the visit!
Hands down, Wish I could give them 10 🌟 review. I am visiting from South Florida .For the first time, I agree that food in New York tastes better . At City Island. No one playing games !!!! FOOD WAS AMAZING! 😋 the waiters Oscar and Jorge were incredible 👏🙌, no time to ask for anything, they got it under control. Until the end. Just take a look at the pictures, and you will agree with me, The desert was to die for, the cheesecake unbelievably delicious. Forgot to take pictures until I was almost finished. I was sooooo excited 😊 . You will see the leftovers. One good detail I have never seen in Florida is I was very surprised, They provided us with some warm towels to clean our hands . Thank you for this great experience, and we chose this great restaurant to celebrate our lovely cousin Eileen's birthday 🎂 and had the best quality time with our family. Love this place !!! We will return to this amazing place !!!
Top Tier restaurant, service and food. I had a Huge lobster tail, with Boston clam chowder corn and salad. Everything was well cooked fresh and delicious. Price, Quality and price was Top Tier. I highly recommend this place as one of the better places in City Island and NYC. You won't be disappointed.
First time visiting and it did not disappoint! The food is excellent and the portions are huge! You will leave stuffed! The garlic bread is awesome! I had the jumbo shrimp Parmesan and it was delicious! When they say jumbo, they mean gigantic! My friend had the special with the lobster tail and it was also delicious! And to top it off, the service was great! Our sever was Oscar and he took care of us! This is definitely a place to try!
We recently visited City Island Lobster House to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was outstanding — flavorful, well-prepared, and served in shareable portions that made dining together even more enjoyable. Our server, Anthony, was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. He ensured our table was well taken care of throughout the evening, and our drinks were consistently perfect. Jojo, the owner, was friendly and approachable, which added a personal touch to our visit. Overall, the atmosphere was vibrant and comfortable, making us feel genuinely appreciated as guests. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to City Island Lobster House.
Exceeded my expectations due to the late time of my order. About an hour before closing. Food was soooo delicious and flavorful! Very fresh and tasty. I got mussels in red sauce which was so delicious, the sauce had lots of fresh garlic and onion it definitely tasted homemade. Also I got oysters rockefeller which I loved because it wasn’t salty, had the perfect amount of FRESH spinach and the cheese was phenomenal—10/10. Will dine here again.
Was visitng in the area and stopped by to eat. The last few times we visited City Island, the experience wasn't so great. The good restaurants are long gone and the ones left are commercialized. We decided to stop and grab a bite. It has been a super long time I've dined here. The food was great! Fresh and good portions! Service was great! Danielle was our waitress. She was super friendly and attentive! The white sangria was delicious! It is great to know that there is still a family owned establishment that values great service and even greater food. On our way out we stopped to chat quickly with Joe the owner! Kudos to you and your team! I highly recommend this restaurant! When back in the area, we'll definitely visit again!!
We have been coming here for at least 25 years to get a 3 pound lobster and steamers. The outdoors restaurant is facing the bay and it’s always so beautiful to sit enjoy the view and eat the most spectacular seafood ever. Today, a Tuesday in May at noon time , all was quiet , the outdoor space closed but we were welcomed by Billy. Our server for the day who he made our lunch outing a PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE. He told us the $50 special was a great price and everything was fresh. Clams, mussels a 1 1/25 pound lobster. Soup. Bread and salad and dessert. We said let’s do it. Will come back for the 3 pounder another time . Well. Phenomenal. Out of this world. Everything was so FRESH AND DELICIOUS. Billy was right!! Will never go back to anything else other than this special. French fries were great too. Billy even gave us an amaretto shot at the end. Best waiter ever. Thank you Billy. See you soon.
First guest of the day and my waitress Arlette was great. She recommended the margarita on the rocks. That drink was strong (I loved it) yet smooth. She was also very sweet and attentive, despite having other customers. Make sure you tip her well! The food was really good. I’m going back.

Loved the pasta with seafood and the bread was to die for. You can't go wrong with this restaurant everything is so good.

Overall a good experience. We took advantage of the outdoor dining and it was an actual deck not just the parking lot which lots of city island restaurants have resorted to in the last year. The food was very good, well seasoned, with generous portions. They had a blueberry cornbread concoction and it was awesome and even fragrant. The garlic bread was on point too. We got snow crab legs, steamed lobster, mussels in garlic sauce and fried calamari. All of it was delicious and our server was super sweet and funny. The only thing not worth the price was the side stuffing of crab that you can get with the lobster it was flimsy and overcooked. Otherwise it was great experience all round and even though it is pricey for the generous servings the main dishes were not over priced.
Nice place, excellent, excellent wait staff. Our waitress was so nice, she had my passion fruit margarita drink made exactly as I like it, even the gentleman who came out with our food was nice and had a great voice. However my food was bland and the shrimp was too rubbery I was only able to eat 1 shrimp and the clams oregano were too chewy. The bread was delicious
First time ever I made a left while entering City Island. Heard about it but never been. The plates are BIG. Drinks are normal sized. A whole loaf of garlic bread plus salad and olives and cheeses. You will leave STUFFED!! Service was great and owner hung out with us a couple of minutes. More expensive than other restaurants on the island. I RECOMMEND and will be visiting again Monday
The food was great. When you come in you initially get a garlic loaf, a piece of cornbread and marinated veggies and cheese. The food came out really quickly and was hot. Different runners asked if we were okay. They left napkins and a pitcher of water on the table so you didn't have to ask. We also got a complimentary salad, dessert, and after dinner aperitif. It was definitely amaretto. The only downside was it took forever to get our check. Literally forever. Plenty of food, great deal for the price.
So I’ve been coming here several years. There service is good and food is pretty good as well. They always start you off with a salad, garlic bread (delicious BTW), corn bread and a small cheese and olive platter. One of my favorite dish to order there there is the grilled seafood platter. It’s a little of everything (shrimp, fish, clam, mussels, scallops and lobster tail) and I always have enough to bring home for lunch the following day. But I came here yesterday for my bday and the lobster tail I got was sad looking. It was the size of my lip balm. 🤣 I guess shrinkflation had hit.
Have gone two times in 2024 and enjoyed the time spent there. The food is really great quantity of the portions, will definitely take home some leftovers. I have a great liking to seafood but I have also tried their steak meal during the special deals they have going on during certain times of the year. It was tender and a huge portion of a steak served, not tough to eat at all. Had a basket of raspberry biscuits for the table if I remember correctly. I had yellow rice and veggies with my steak. I enjoyed some dessert and a Sangria that was part of the deal. Can't speak for everyone that I had a lunch and dinner with because its different food items that others ordered and they said they really liked their food. So yes they enjoyed the food also. Good place to go to and eat. 2nd time @ Lobster house I had ordered seafood salad and it was huge, I shared some with the table and still ate plenty and took home leftovers of it too. Seafood salad medley was amazing with shrimp, calamari, clams and mussels and a delish cocktail sauce for the shrimp.

2nd time eating here. Overall a good and fun experience. Persons in the group enjoyed the atmosphere (sat outside with view of the Marina). All of the staff we encountered were very friendly. Love the antipasto, salad and garlic bread service that comes with the meal. We all pretty much ordered lobster and some also had shrimp. Had the calamari as appetizer. Food portions were good. Everyone had leftovers to take home. Would go back
Warning ⚠️ Do not go here on the weekend‼️ the line goes outside the restaurant. The manager (or whoever this guy was) stays by the door and yells at everyone including kids. The way this place organized the heavy clientele was ridiculous. Wait time was extensive!! The food itself was good but due to the high amount of people the waiters were rushing all over the place when I got a dirty beer glass. 😰😰 makes me question how clean the place is...
We wanted some good seafood and thought to drive out City Island. This place was one of the first places when you cross the bridge to City Island. The place looked a little slow around 4pm with plenty of seating. The service is attentive and food and drinks are brought out quickly. We tried the calamari for appetizer and it was fresh and tasty. We got a few dishes with lobster tails and some tasted fresh and one just tasted like it was sitting out of in the hot weather spoiled. We told our waiter and he said he will replace it for us. We had to wait additional 20 mins for the lobster tail to come out and just packed it to go. Service is good but food is hit or miss and I guess we missed.
Food is good, but starting to lose quality & quantity while the prices are constantly going up. The servers are not very attentive until it's time to pay your bill. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but can I get the usual amount of good food & service for the higher price?! Not less food with mediocre service for more money!
You come here to be able to sit outside by the water. Otherwise not a great deal. Food is good but should be better considering the prices. I had the Shrimp Scampi (over rice). It was plentiful but I like mine a little more wet - gimme that Scampi sauce!! My companion had the lobster roll and she enjoyed it. Bonus is the garlic bread they provide free of charge. Best to go on a beautiful evening to enjoy the outdoor seating
Came here for the first time and it was an okay experience. Was here on a Sunday afternoon and even though there was a long line we were seated pretty quickly. They have outdoor seating with different sections and table set ups to accommodate patrons. Servers all have masks on and are trying their best. Our server was very nice but since it was busy, they didn't check on us as often as I would have liked and the service was slow throughout our visit. The drinks were okay, kind of watered down, full of ice, and overpriced. The appetizers were tasty, the bread and olive medley were delicious. The entrees were good, they did provide a lot of food but I wish the batter that everything was fried in had more seasoning. The dipping sauce for the calamari platter was amazing and made everything taste much better. While the lobster tail was tasty, it was a small piece compared to the big price paid for it. They did offer free Amaretto shots upon our departure which was appreciated and a cute gesture. Not sure if I will be back but it wasn't a bad experience for the first time. On a side note, while they offer bathrooms, the ladies room was not cleaned and I saw a roach in the sink.
I visited City Island Lobster House after hearing amazing things about it, and I was really looking forward to it. My date had been there before and enjoyed it, so my expectations were pretty high. The food was tasty and the service was okay, but honestly, I left feeling a bit disappointed. I wanted to sit by the edge to enjoy the ocean view, but we were told those tables were only for large groups, so my partner and I (just the two of us) weren’t allowed to sit there. What really confused me was that a group of three came in shortly after. They could have easily sat at one of the smaller tables, but the staff brought out a table and let them sit right by the edge — exactly where we had asked to sit. So while the food was good, the experience didn’t meet my expectations, especially after all the great things I had heard. I just expected a little more.
Frankly, a bit of a disappointment. ambience is great, view unbeatable, however my steamed lobster was not top drawer. Had a 2# female steamed and the roe was a bit undercooked. The rest of everyon…

I ordered take out for thanksgiving. This isn’t the first. I ordered the BBQ feast for 2. I added on a few other items. This place is really expensive & the quality of the food wasn’t good. The seafood was over baked and everything was soggy. I spent $250. Wish I cooked. This year has been a disappointment.
I wanted to love this place. Came here for Easter dinner very excited to try! My wife’s brother (whose taste in restaurants is good) has been talking this place up to me for years so expectations were high…. And not met! It was super crowded and the restaurant seemed to clearly be unable to handle the volume of Easter service. I say this for a few reasons. 1. The menu was drastically reduced, basically pushing you to get lobster tails or crab. 2. The wait staff were clearly overwhelmed and (at least our server) dealt with this by being inattentive and incredibly rude. 3. (Related to 1) all the seafood tasted like it had been cooked in big batches and then microwaved to reheat. I ordered shrimp and scallop broiled combo which came with a lobster tail (even though I didn’t order it). The lobster tail meat was so hard you couldn’t even cut it with a steak knife. The scallops were good though they were soggy from sitting in a bath of butter dumped everywhere (see picture). The shrimp were rubbery. The only truly good thing was the calamari

they had mice all on the floors and in the heating closet they sat us next to and the manager totally ignored it and us the most disgusting out of body experience ever
horrible version of new england sea fare. lobster roll was all mayo. nice service. its really an italian restaurant serving seafood
The service was wonderful, but the food is terrible and way overpriced. How can some of the fish have no flavor? Half the table’s food was cold and add that to lack of flavor. This was the 2nd time…
Everything is terrible, starting from hostess/waitress with smoky voice that had a nasty attitude on the phone taking a pick up order, and didn't want to explain what's exactly including in the meal, and finishing with lobster tail that taste like a burned peace of bread. Unfortunately was the worst lobster tail I've had in my life. And ofcourse they forgot to put my baked potato in the container. No seasoning at all in every meal that we ordered. Bad thing 1 star is existing, because I would give them -1.
I went on October 5th. The food as always was delicious. The service was good. The atmosphere, not good, because there was a loud party completely inconsiderate of others with non stop loud talking and cackling laughter. (Not the restaurants fault). When we left, the valet brought my car, a 2023 Genesis. I immediately noticed that a plastic piece was hanging from the bumper cover. I then saw that the bumper drape on the passenger front was indented, there was a cut in the bumper and the bottom passenger side headlight lens was cracked. The valet attendant denied responsibility, and didn't make eye contact. I spoke to the owner. He immediately defended his valet parking attendants like an overprotective parent would defend his child. This was without even asking the attendants or viewing the damage. He was very defensive telling me the damage was preexisting. It almost seemed like he already was aware this happened. He made several stupid comments including claiming that it couldn't have happened in his lot because the valets back the cars in. Moronic. I said another car could have easily clipped my bumper while the attendant was backing in. He did not want to hear it, claimed his valets are perfect and that they would have immediately informed him had if they were responsible.(maybe they did). He denied having cameras and walked away. I took the car to a collision place. The estimate is between $5000-$6000. I would never go back. The owner is rude, takes no responsibility, and who knows what else he'll say couldn't happen in his restaurant as evidenced by other 0ne star reviews.
I was here many years ago, and wasn't impressed then. Some friends wanted to meet up for dinner last night, so my wife and I went to meet them. At 6:30, it wasn't busy, but there was a snowstorm the night before. We'd ordered The Seafood broil and a side of New England Clam Chowder. Yes, they brought out a (very generic) salad for the table, garlic bread (good - best part of what was served, honestly), and a (mediocre) 'antipasto'. The Clam Chowder comes, its tepid and so thick that the spoon is standing up in the bowl. Tasted it ("Has this been sitting since yesterday?"), and hard pass. Sent it back. They apologized, came back in 7 minutes with replacement bowls "we made it fresh". In seven minutes? It was warmer and thinner, but the damage was done to my palate and phyche. "No thank you" *not even for free Of course, the plates come as that soup arrives - there's no room on the table, anyway. The main course was as disappointing as everything else: If you like alot of seasoning, a ton of breadcrumbs and grease - by all means, order that seafood broil! The two and a half inch lobster tail was the highlight, the shrimp wasn't bad - but the scallops, clams and all the rest were absolutely smothered in breadcrumbs, old bay and grease. We were looking for a replacement for the now closed Artie's. This ain't it. I'll spend the time and money to drive to Jordan's Lobster Farm in Island Park when I want quality seafood, I guess. I wish I'd taken photos to accompany this review, but I kept trying to salvage the evening and enjoy the company of friends I hadn't seen in awhile. Overrated diner with valet parking. Do better.
The prices are too expensive , the service is very slow and the older host is too pushy . For example : order of chicken fingers cost $32.95 . Are you crazy ? One lobster roll cost $ 35.00 . Fresh seafood comes from the pier at city island and these prices do not make any sense at all. Each time this restaurant get a new menu , the food prices increase. I understand that prices continue to rise , but to this extent , it does not make any sense . We used to be valued customers for over 20 years. However , due to these outrageous prices , we are definitely through with this restaurant establishment . Thsnk - you very much for nothing .
This information goes to the owner of the restaurant and partner of the restaurant, not to the manager because the manager of the afternoon does not solve anything, and the information is for the customers also be very careful to leave valuables in their cars when going to this restaurant today I arrived they parked my car I entered the restaurant after 10 minutes I received a notification that said that they charged something on my card there in New York and I am from Norwalk and I remember that I had my wallet in my car I went to see and in my wallet I had 1600 dollars and when I checked that I was missing 100 dollars and in my car they left a key to another vehicle I told the manager he did not want to help me he sent me with the parking manager according to the one who was going to park the car they asked everyone who parked my car and everyone said that no one went and they started to get angry they didn't know anything they didn't solve anything they solved anything neither the 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
