Opinions de Kelly's At The Village Allen
Kelly's was awesome. I had lunch meeting there with a BNI networking group and it is a great atmosphere. 👍 We were in a private room in the back and the room fit all 45 of us. The servers were professional and on the ball. I've never been to Kelly's but I'll definitely go again. 👍
It was our first time, And we Loved all the food selections and really good BBQ, it was super tender and good flavor, lots of good choices for appetizers and sides different than just the regular sides you see other places, we will definitely be back
Went to Kelly’s at the Village and had a decent experience. The food was good and the place has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Service was fine and everything came out as expected. A solid neighborhood spot.
I have never had Chicken Fried Steak that tender. It melts in your mouth. The coleslaw was perfect-not dripping in dressing. The lunch portion was generous.
Kelly at The Village has been absolutely amazing to work with! From the first tour to move-in day, she’s been professional, kind, and incredibly responsive. She goes out of her way to make sure everything runs smoothly and that residents feel at home. It’s rare to find someone so genuine and attentive — Kelly truly cares about the people she helps. If you’re considering moving to The Village, ask for Kelly — she’ll make the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable!
Very chill atmosphere they play a mix of songs. Brandy served me today and the day before Christmas at the bar and her customer service is top notch. The food and drinks are very good. Hibiscus martini was delightful and is my absolute favorite from here. The painkiller wasn't bad either! The ooey gooey cake, flautas and fried pickles are just sooooooooo good. I like this place and intend to be a regular
We discovered this place by accident after our intended eatery didn't work out and wow are we happy that we did! For a little background, we have a special needs rescue English Bulldog that goes with us everywhere and patio restaurants that allow dogs are very important to us, particularly those that are somewhat air conditioned and sheltered from the extreme heat or cold. Not only does Kelly's offer this kind of space, the staff were exceptionally welcoming of us and our dog. All of them were sincerely kind and made us feel right at home. Not only was the service great, but the food was outstanding. We were expecting standard bar food and were blown away at how delicious our meals were. Each of our dishes was freshly made and really good. Even the other patrons in the restaurant were great! If you are looking for a place for a great meal and good atmosphere, look no further. Thank you to the staff at Kelly's for being so great. We will definitely be back.
Tonight was the first time we’ve ever been to this restaurant. We are traveling and decided to stop there and we’re so glad we did. I would give the service a hands-down five 5️⃣! Our waiter, Mason, was great! He was very attentive and pleasant. Also, our hostesses, both in arrival and departure, were very personable and made us feel very welcome. My husband had a meatloaf sandwich and said he would give it a five 5️⃣. He liked the whole combination and said it had a good flavor profile. I had the brisket quesadillas, and I wasn’t that crazy about them. Actually, they were great in size, very well cooked, I just wasn’t crazy about the flavor profile. I also had a dinner salad and it was so fresh and I loved the garlic croutons on it, plus the ranch dressing was really good. I would actually give the dinner salad 🥗 a five 5️⃣ and was glad I got it. I would have liked if they would’ve had a different salsa option. I am a salsa lover, but did not really like that one at all, but since I ordered quesadillas, I tried to eat with was provided salsa-wise. Outside of that, I’m glad we went and would definitely go there again! Because of the service we received, we had a great experience and will probably go back!
Amazing food, service, and vibe. Came here for a girls' lunch while out shopping. Our server was really attentive and helpful. Drinks never ran dry. We've had friends recommend this place and finally got to try it. Definitely see why. The food was so good. I was not a huge fan of the cornbread. It was a bit chewy and dry, but everything else was great. Ribs fell apart. Meatloaf was good. Ceaser Salad was excellent. The place was small and had a cozy, intimate vibe like a neighborhood pub kind of feeling.
Wanted to go somewhere with a good beer selection and food. Decided to try Kelly's out, on a Sunday for a late lunch. When we arrived were able to be seated immediately. Our waitress was awesome and she took great care of us and was very attentive, I didn't have a chance to get her name, would have liked to credit her here. I liked the selection of beers that they had as some of the beers I have not seen at other places. For food we ordered fried mushrooms, the brisket stuffed jalapenos, chili, grilled chicken club and brisket hash. Everything we ordered tasted great. I liked the brisket jalapenos, it had a good amount of heat! The brisket hash was HUGE! It was a mound of potatoes with brisket topped with 2 eggs. I'll definitely be back when looking for somewhere with a good beer selection and good food and excellent service.
7/9/22: Blake was our host and he was great. We seated ourselves, and there was a nice bar area and a nice patio area. We had the brisket potato chips and a chicken club. The draft beer was cold, and she had a couple of GIT L.I.T. Blake was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He made our first visit here very pleasant. We would certainly come back.

Had lunch with a friend midweek. It wasn’t very busy. We were seated immediately and our waitress who had to cover a lot of tables was very good. They have restaurant seating as well as a nice bar that has outside and inside seating. I ordered the Fried Pork Tenderloin Sandwich with a Caesar salad as the side. My friend had the Chicken Fried Steak. My sandwich was excellent. Pork was thick, but wasn’t dried out. It just comes with pickles and bam bam sauce and that’s all it needed. Salad was also very good. My friend enjoyed the chicken fried steak. Not the largest portion ever, but taste was on point. As mentioned our waitress did a great job. I will be back for sure. They also have private dining rooms for parties and such.
I was out shopping in Allen and decided to walk over to this place and grab something to eat. My goal is to try new places I haven't been to yet as much as possible. I had never been here before even though I don't live that far away. It was pretty much what I expected. There's indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar. It wasn't very busy at all and there was nobody at the front when I walked in. There were maybe 2 or 3 tables occupied inside and maybe 5 or 6 people sitting at the bar watching the A&M game. I sat at the bar and ordered the sliders on the appetizer menu and a bottled beer. It was $21 and change total. I added the tip and rounded up so it was $27. You get 3 sliders with cheese and on top of each is a small onion ring and a pickle. It comes with a small ramekin of ketchup. The sliders were good, what you would expect for bar food. The onion rings were so bland, no flavor or seasoning at all. Overall the experience was just ok. Not sure if I would go out of my way to go back again with the multitude of other options in the area.
St. Paddy's day escape! I've passed by this spot countless times, yet for some reason, I hadn't given it a shot until now. Well, I finally did, and boy was I in for a pleasant surprise! It exudes a BBQ atmosphere with a touch of country charm. We snagged a seat outside on the bench-style seating, and the food did not disappoint. The smoked wings were a delicious way to kick things off. Overall, everything lived up to expectations.
I had high expectations since it’s always packed and has raving reviews, but to be honest it fell short. Most the times we’ve gone it has always been too crowded where it was a 2 plus hour wait. Today we got a table and it wasn’t that bad, there were many open tables. It took about 15 minutes before anyone came to us for drinks and throughout the night it was hard to find our waitress. She seemed busy and overwhelmed but that shouldn’t be an issue to us. The hamburger sliders were maybe a 5/10 and tasted mushy inside. The brisket fries/chips were really good and the fried pickles were mediocre. So for my first experience here overall it fell short and was subpar. I don’t know if I’d be back as nothing was great and there’s other places in the area that are far better to me.
The food was ok. The wings for what I had was the best. However the fried ribs for me was a no go. They did not have much flavor apart from the plastic that was still holding the ribs together. However our waitress was awesome. She made fun of it and took care of the issues supper fast. She made sure that the manager came over to make sure all was taken care of. And when the tick came She was still making fun of the plastic. The drinks However were very good. I have been back since and will go again, moreso for the drinks!!!

This is one of my in-laws fav places to eat. We tend to go to the one in Frisco a lot, but we wanted somewhere close to home as we definitely wanted to eat out side as it was such a nice day, and it was my first time eating at this location. The food was really wonderful, I got the chicken fried steak (was so hungry forgot to take a pic), but it was delicious. My wife really enjoyed the burger she got! My daughter has allergies and we were happy to know this is one of the few places that doesn't use peanut oil for the fries, so she was able to eat the fries, kudos for the waitress for checking and not getting irritated when we asked. We did try some of the cocktails and I am not a fan. I tried the Pain Killer and it tasted super water down, didn't even taste anything other than OJ. Mother in law got the Trash Can Punch, and it tasted just like water down Power-aid, which was extremely disappointing. Quick side not, my wife did like the Raspberry Lemonade and said it tasted great. The outside dining location is really awesome. We are still wanting to stay outside, and my daughter LOVES being outside, so we figured it would offer some more time before she got restless. She was super surprised when the firetruck came by. The only thing we were not a fan of is they allowed smoking out there. Honestly was a bit shocked as it was the first time I have seen a place offer it in quite some time, and we missed the signs. Thankfully only one person was smoking near to us, and they left shortly after we got there. Other than that it is a cool place to come and grab a bite to eat.
Recent reviews are spot on. The service is surly and slow. The brunch appeared to be barely a notch above Denny's or IHOP. Clearly this establishment thrives on convention center business. Though branded a "tavern" this is a restaurant more fit for soccer moms and their families. The ambiance is like that of a corporate lounge at the airport. Sadly the shops at this freeway intersection are in decline. I miss the days when Bar Louie was crowded, the drinks were cold, the staff was engaging, and the food delicious. There are better choices in the area. Lazy Dog and BJ's Brewhouse come to mind. This is a C-list establishment. Avoid.
Came with a large group. Unfortunately, my recent visit was quite disappointing. While I appreciate a quick meal, the food quality was poor, with the fries being noticeably undercooked. The service was also a significant issue. Not greeted by the hostess in or out- she was on her phone. Our server was inattentive, and it took an excessive amount of time—nearly 20 minutes—just to receive water. I hope the management takes this feedback to heart to improve both the kitchen operations and front-of-house training.
I've eaten there 3 times. All three times, the food has been pretty bland at best. The last time I ate at Kelly's, I had a burger. The meat was not fresh. It was dry and was shaped like it came out…
TERRIBLE staff and manager. This place really lacks class and a positive atmosphere. You could not pay us to go back here. Save your time and money.
I even refuse to even to give them the satisfaction of even putting any star here, but I had to, don't waste your time or money patronizing this place they treat their customers like they're idiots…

I went on Sept 28th to go grab a bite with my wife at 7:30pm. They apparently had decided to shut down for a private event hours before their posted closing hours. There were signs in the door that they'd be closing at 8:30pm, a freaking hour later, and when we went in the hostess said "did you see the sign?" and we were like... "yeah" (I almost walked then, but we were hungry) and then we were seated only to get the same from the waitress who said "8 or 8:30 we're shutting the restaurant down entirely" to which I asked "Do you need us to just leave?" and she said "No, please stay" so we did. I'm guessing that was a half-hearted "please stay" remark but I honestly just took it at face value. My wife wanted a grilled cheese, they're oddly uncommon unless you're wanting something plain like a children's meal or just a strange one like some of the burger chains make. Now we've been about 5 times in 4 years over to Kelly's and just about every time was rudeness which was precisely why it was so few times. Rude service just seems to be a thing. Maybe I misunderstood, maybe Kelly's is one of those places where they are supposed to be rude? I don't know, not my scene if so. I really don't think it is and frankly other than decent food I doubt they'd be doing well if not for the great location and Collin county overcrowding and the drinkers who frequent their admittedly nice bar selection. Seems a bit overpriced though and their food certainly is. Frankly, I'm done, hope they know that by acting like that and not closing a little earlier so they aren't rushing customers an hour before, they're losing probably more money long term than these parties bring or the few regulars that might have to step away from the bar 30 more minutes earlier. Basically don't act like you're inconvenienced by your customers if they walk in an hour before you're supposed to close. If you need more time, make that time your closing time and take the hit. I usually overtip by way more than I should (30-50% usually), I tipped poorly, the waitress never even returned with our check so we could leave. For a bunch of people that were so rushed to get us out, they certainly didn't prioritize allowing us to cash out after we nearly choked ourselves on the food to appease their panicked schedule. I had to get the manager's attention for it. Mind you, they were already locking their doors by 7:45-8. So really they should have just said "hey we're closed" by 7-7:30 and put that on the door. It was just so tacky. So yeah... ya lost two customers and I'm a minor foodie influencer. Be better or at least tell people your restaurant is themed for rude service. Good potato soup though. To think if the service was pretty much ever good, at all, in the past 4 years I'd have probably managed to talk my wife into going about once every week or two for all of those years. I thought SURELY it was a fluke and kept trying.
Kelly’s At The Village. Our first time dinning here and definitely was our LAST. To start hostess was not welcoming. As you looked around clearly they catered to a certain type of demographic, that should have been first clue. After being seated, to start off.. we ordered simple appetizer, chips and queso. The queso dip was cold, we told waitress who politely brought another bowl of it, and mind you she waited until we tasted it again to see if was warmer/hot. Unfortunately the queso was STILL lukewarm, so she went and got more which still wasn’t hot. We kinda brushed it off, decided to order burgers and fries. Burgers arrived lukewarm and fries were cold and soggy from all grease. Let’s just say I couldn’t even bring myself to eat it. My friend tried to eat some of food, only to later on regret it, because his stomach was so upset… FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!!! 🤮🤢🥴 Mind you we could have complained again, but we just paid bill $55 and left feeling so disgusted by whole experience there. I hope management see this review… Please DO BETTER!! People do not have money to waste on poor quality food and services.
