Wife and I tried this place recently. Everything we had was amazing! Food and service are great, the speed of getting the food out was too notch. All the servers and other staff talked to customers and each other regularly and having laughs. Attentive but not overbearing on checking in on us. I am happy this is here in town and I hope they continue to succeed.

Was quickly led to an open table. Got drink order right away. Took food order right after delivering drinks. Replenished chips and salsa. Food was delivered quickly and still hot off the grill. Servers were friendly. Manager checked to see if we were happy with the service and food. Very efficient place!

The food is always delicious. The chips and salsa are not impressive, but can't complain when they're complementary. The chile relleno is the best I've had. The plates are a great price and big enough to feed two.

This is the real deal. You have some Tex-Mex, some authentic Mexican food on the menu. Service is great, everyone is very friendly. The atmosphere is great. The really feels like the local cantina. Leave your preconceived notions at the door and enjoy a taste of Mexico.

My first time at this location, I like it better than the Coulter one. The staff here is VERY FRIENDLY.. and I wasn't ignored. I will be back very soon. I tried their Green Chile Enchiladas. They're purrrrrty gooooot! The brew tower is next. Food not to expensive, but the tall brews are a bit high. Go with the tower. Saves you a little.

Amazing! New to Amarillo so I decided to give these guys a shot.. after working all day me and my buddy went here not once but two days in a row. We sat at the bar and the first day we had an awesome male bartender who was ultra accommodating..the second day we had a female bartender and she was just as nice and super attentive to my friend and I. Very reasonable prices on the food and beer. Definitely going to be coming back for one of those delicious looking beer towers y'all got! Thanks for upholding the hospitality standard that most places have let of it seems like! Sorry I didn't catch y'alls name but you know who you are! Thank you!!

The huevos Con Chorizo was awesome. The salsas were a little bland but still good. My wife had the migas and liked them alot. We will be back to try supper sometime

I had Carne tampasino, basically steak and cheese enchilada, it was good. Waitstaff friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean, reasonable prices. Will return

BE SURE AND CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS. We paid by card. Added a $5 tip to bill. An additional $5 was taken out of our account. That additional was not authorized my me. Not happy. Will not be returning

The service and servers were great. Very attentive and helpful. The food was ok, but nothing special. I did not care for the chicken flautas; chicken tasted weird and that isn't good with chicken. The restaurant is very basic in its decor, but it is clean. Be aware that they charge 4% for using a credit or debit card.

Compared to the last time we were here, the restaurant has made significant improvements in their food and service.

Breakfast is not their forte. We received our food maybe 10 minutes after we ordered and definitely should take a little longer. Wife and I ordered Huevos con Chicharron and Huevos Rancheros. My chicharrons were hard to semi hard instead of soft with large cubed semi-cooked potatoes. Wife's rancheros weren't even traditional, basically just eggs and bacon with no tortilla underneath. Her potatoes were hard like mine. We both had to add the pico de gallo on top. Refried beans were really good on the positive side.

Service is always bad. Food is not bad but certainly not the best. Its like fast food. You can't even change specific items to make it likable, though. Also, they get the orders wrong. The only really good thing is that it is fast.

Not inexpensive, but you get lots of good food and the staff are polite and friendly, definitely an enjoyable experience.

I took my wife here to eat for the first time. We were not happy first thing tea tasted like water. I had the crispy taco chili relleno and an enchilada. The taco was dripping with grease. The chile relleno had four times more batter on it than chili. Everything was smothered with a lot of cheese and had a lot of Grease the chili relleno batter was so greasy it was like eating a soggy sponge. For real authentic Mexican food go to aldaco tacos on 6th Street.

This place advertises that they’re open until 9 PM, but we arrived at 8:15 and were told they were already closed. If they’re not going to serve customers after 8 PM, they should be honest and advertise that instead. It’s really misleading.

I went to the new Mexican restaurant on Amarillo Blvd west.El Tapatio. It was on December 18th 2022. I waited 10 minutes to be seated. I was by myself. Other people of large parties was asked how many. I finally said that I wasn't with them. The hostess said to me that you can go seat yourself. I looked at her and said in disbelief ok. I picked table #13. The waitress took my order. I then got up to up to go to the restroom to use and wash my hands. The first stall had a person in it, so I went to the next stall next to it. The person and myself finished at the same time. The person the first stall came out and DIDN'T WASH HER HANDS . I seen the back of the person going towards the kitchen area. I know she was working there. She had on a black dress shirt and apron. I went back in the restroom to wash my hands. After seeing that I Will Not Be Going back. By her not washing her hands will be getting people Sick..

Tried to come in on a Sunday morning. They were busy but we were okay to wait. They seemed off put that we were okay with waiting to be sat. We went to sit at the bar and the hostess came over to the bartender and once again they told us it would take a long time to serve us so we should leave. They definitely did not want our business and did not want anyone coming in and waiting. Awful service!!! Will never try coming back!!! I’ve never had this happen at any restaurant before, very strange.

Myself and 3 daughters went for dinner while ordering drinks I also ordered Queso. We received our drinks from a 2nd lady and I mentioned the Queso and she said “ok”. About 10-15min later we still had no Queso and 2 of our 4 plates of food had now arrived with a 3rd waitress. Again, I mentioned the queso she replied she would check on it. Waitress 3 brought out the queso and it was either #1 or #2 that brought the other plates. One daughter dipped into the queso and it was cold. We begin to eat our meals and everyone at the table had very runny refried beans. We each took a bite and let me just say none of us had anything positive to say about the beans and we all had looks of “yuck” on our faces. One of my daughters ordered enchiladas and she was very displeased with the taste 3 bites in and she was done. I had a chimichanga and the inside was very is gooey. I couldn’t finish it because the slimy/gooey on the inside was nasty. 2 of my daughters were pleased with all of their food except for the beans they were runny and tasted like a tin can! When we were done one of the 3 waitresses walked over looked at our plates and asked if we would like boxes. We all said no. A lot of food was left on that table. She then brought me the ticket and my oldest daughter (22) noticed that they didn’t charge the correct price for her meal because her meal was the daily special. They did correct it at the register after I pointed it out. After trying to eat awful food and then leaving a tip for whatever waitress it was going to go to I then read a sign that said if you pay with debit/credit cards you will be charged a 4% bank fee. I can confidently say myself and 3 adult daughters were not pleased with the service because we had no clue who our waitress was and they obviously weren’t communicating with one another, we weren’t pleased with the no flavor very bland, runny and tin can tasting food nor was I happy about paying a 4% banking fee.

My wife and handicapped daughter were in with our family from out of town on Sat evening. The wait staff made fun of my daughter and her disability to the point she left in tears. Soledad the mgr was made aware of this on top of the fact that our to go food which was a special order do to an onion allergy was wrong. Once made aware of what happened Soledad refused to remake our food and thought an apology was sufficient. We've been loyal customers to the Coulter location for years. This was our first time to the Blvd. We will needless to say never be back and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, I'm furious.
