Lovely place , the staff helped us get a terrace seat on a lovely ( but rare ) sunny day , prices are actually reasonable ( for Amsterdam) and they have a tasty ice tea :)

After reading good reviews we thought we would check it out, and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were terrific and spoke really good English, the food was amazing too. The presentation only enhanced the great flavour and the on tap beer was refreshing, 100% would go again, no doubt.

I visit Bosco often. It’s a perfect mix of local Dutch patrons, tourists, and expats like me. I’m always so impressed with how patient they are with tourists who don’t speak Dutch, but also with folks like myself who are learning Dutch and desperately want to practice (without switching to English). The food is reliable and good (nothing extraordinary) with ample vegetarian options, but the service and environment are what keep me coming back. Love the terrace as well!

Great place for a simple bit and a beer. I can recommend the fries with beef stew and the ravioli also looks great! Chairs can be a bit close to other tables, but we were with a large group, so that might have been it.

Perfect spot for lunch with options for all moods. Traditional Dutch options as well as unexpected items such as gyoza on the snack menu. The fries exceeded expectations.

Went for early dinner as our first night in Amsterdam, though clearly more of a casual place the food we had was amazing. The staff was on top of things and the vibe super relaxed. The patio was packed so we sat inside, which was nice as well. They have a small selection of board/card games available that we saw people use. Very nice and chill place to get boos bite to eat.

Bosco was a oasis of warmth on a cold New Years morning when all other cafes and restaurants were closed. There were many local patrons but the server was quick to hand me an English menu without me asking and was very friendly. The ambiance is relaxed and I enjoyed the food and coffee very much. Although the price point may be a bit higher it is very much worth a visit when you are looking to have a chilled out meal.

Perfect little restaurant for my family and me. The waiters were super friendly to us. They always had a smile and help us understand the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Fun place with super friendly staff. The house Chardonnay wine was lacking a bit but other than that this place has always been nice to us. We had drinks here on New Years Day when it was pouring rain outside and many other places closed. We only had bitterballen but want to try their food next. They are very attentive with the table service, collecting dirty dishes and cleaning the table too. The wooden chairs remind me of something back in grade school but at least it encourages us to stand up after a couple of hours.

Such a great spot- can’t recommend enough! Cozy vibes and great decor inside. There are a bunch of games to choose from at the front or behind the bar (if you ask). The servers were so kind and helpful. We had a lovely afternoon playing cards and sipping our beverages * bathroom was very clean as well

It was delicious! I got a toasty with tuna and my friend had the Club Sandwich, which were two great options. With that we had the Chocolate Milk, an Espresso, Sparkling Water and a Cappuccino, all very tasty. Can definitely recommend for a light breakfast with a great outside sitting option and amazing service.

Cool place! Very delicious burger and coleslaw. Big variety of beers and cocktails. If you are in the area and don’t have reservation this place is probably your only chance! Try homemade ginger bear it’s out of this world!

I had breakfast here with my wife and we really enjoyed this place. I had the Bosco breakfast with salmon & my wife had the scrambled eggs with avocado. If you’re looking for a nice laidback place with great atmosphere & chill music but quiet enough to enjoy conversations with friends or date this place is highly recommended. The staff here are all very welcoming and helpful. The food is pretty good too.

Cozy and great place for a breakfast or lunch. We went for a late breakfast/brunch around noon and all was tasty and well made. Luckily the breakfast menu was still available to order that late. Friendly and helpful waiters made our visit highly pleasant. You can pay by card or cash. Coffee is also great and prices are OK.

The staff was super friendly and warm. The food was good too. The Orange juice was really good and super fresh, it has bits of pulp in it. The cappuccino was good but a small cup. There's also a cafe cat that just hangs around.. as an animal lover, that was amusing and that alone earned 3 stars! Definitely recommend for a quick breakfast and a good cup of joe.

Nice place to have lunch. Especially if it's sunny, the tables outside are the best option! Their home made ginger beer is a must try (so refreshing and not too sweet!). I personally got the salad of the day, which can indeed change accordingly. This time it had shrimps, soy beans and some other veggies. Lovely!

The burger was impressively good. It's also a great place to play some board games. They have quite a lot of games around. Only drawback is that it was very crowded, but I went on a Friday night.

Good place to do some work or to catch up with your friends. Staff is very friendly. I forgot my wallet and they allow me to pay directly to their bank account (i/o having me going home to pick up my wallet). The sandwich was nice and coffee as to be expected. So all fine!

Stopped by Bar Bosco while exploring Amsterdam and it was a solid experience. The atmosphere is chill, with a nice mix of locals and tourists, and the staff were super welcoming. The highlight for me? That croissant. Absolute perfection — crispy on the outside, soft and buttery inside. One of the best I’ve had in a long time. Could’ve eaten three of them honestly. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the drink selection could’ve been a little more interesting. But overall, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Would happily go back for that croissant alone.

Ate breakfast there two times and was really good. Staff was friendly too. The prices are reasonable compared with the other places in the neighbourhood.

We ended up here by chance while having a stroll in the area on a Sunday, we we're lucky to find a spot. Good service and kind employees. They also have a terrace outside on the sidewalk. Great club sandwich!

A nice place where you can sit comfortably. They are open until late at least. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is very calm and relaxed.

Nice place. Nice staff. Very nice door area. Had a Cappuccino - not good. Too watery. Had toast with jam - also not good. Jam and butter were generous though.

The terras is cute but it is right by a main road, so if you want to have a conversation by the table you’ll have to shout a bit. We went on a busy weekend’s afternoon but I still don’t think that justified how long we had to wait to order our drinks. We waited 20+mins and even the table besides us noticed. The waiters were lovely once they came but it seems that the place is just understaffed in general/ didn’t train their staff properly.

The price for a take away gluewine is ridiculous! €6.5 for a wine that's bought from Lidl.

Breakfast option is not good. Toast was very dry with thin ham and tasteless and omelet was so tiny. Does not worth the price. Also tables are so close to each other and we felt uncomfortable.

I had such high hopes and ended up so unimpressed with the breakfast at Bosco. I had the breakfast platter: the croissant was perhaps the worst and driest I've ever had, the toast was dull, and the egg was bland. And even though I'd said 'no thank you' to bacon, my platter arrived with a tiny piece of room-temperature 'bacon' - that I then got the privilege of paying €1.50 for. However, the orange juice elevates the food review to two stars: it was freshly squeezed and was genuinely very tasty. The service was nice but a bit disorganised. On sunny days, you can sit outside in the sun. That's a bonus!

Worst brunch place ever, We sat down to have some drinks, 2 of us decided we didnt need anything but the waitress forced us too order a drink or otherwise she threatened us to leave the place. After ordering a unwanted drink they decided to charge for tap water, which to my understanding is illegal in the netherlands, furthermore upon payment she decided to call my friend who is not white a racial slur. Overall worst brunch experience ever. Do not recommend.

Rude waiters, especially the older woman that works outside. I was asked very rudely to put my puppy on the floor (she is not fully vaccinated yet therefore she cant). Food is mediocre, club sandwich comes with a quarter slice of bacon, the sandwich was basically empty. The only good thing is the open patio outside but beware because you will not be able to relax with your dogs!

Terrible service, especially from the young, self-absorbed waitresses. Long waits in an empty dining room. Breakfast itself was very poor.

While they might be officially open at 8am on a Sunday, the service at that time is rude so they might as well be closed. We arrived for a coffee at 8:30am but the passive aggressive comments from the server about her being the only staff present and not wanting to answer any questions made us decide that it would be a terrible decision to start our day here. We did not eat or drink anything so can’t comment on the quality.

First ever review, not worth it at all, took almost 20 minutes for anyone to even come to our table, other people were getting up and leaving because they had to wait so long, we both got the bosco breakfast, charges 1.5 euros for half a piece of bacon, the restaurant is pretty large but only 2 workers, everything was slow, cold, and average. Our food sat at the chefs counter to be served for so long the chef decided to just bring it to us himself. Worst meal we've had in Amsterdam, go to Greenwood or Breakfast Club instead WAY better.

1. Food took an hour to arrive to the table( Servant said there was a miscommunication with the kitchen without apologizing) 2. Rude manager that assumes stuff because we had a child with us. 3. The male servant is super rude lacking customer service skills. Highly not recommended if you have a family and looking for a proper breakfast with a nice customer service. The food is not bad.. but the place is not child friendly the staff are very rude with the kids specifically the male servant! The manager accused us of leaving wet wipes in the bathroom even though there was another child that was taken to the bathroom but their parents! And the manager never apologized for her assumption.

Don't go is my recommendation. I went with 6 friends and we all ordered the orange juice with our meals. When it arrived we all were disgusted by the taste. It was made from very old oranges and just tasted of the pith only. We raised it with the waitress who ignored us, we raised it again and were told that was just how it tasted. We asked to change it to another drink and were told we had to pay for what we'd ordered. They were rude and dismissive. With so many other wonderful places in the area I'd avoid their bad customer service.

We were more than 45 minutes waiting for our food. The chef sandwich is the poorest I have eaten in my life, a lot of bread and little content. The potatoes were cold and scorched, besides being hard and inedible .I will not return again

I went in here today and the drink they gave me tasted off. I went to discuss it with a waitress that served me, and the older lady working there interrupted the conversation and just screamed at me. It was just awful. I just paid the bill didn’t consume it and I left. Had just spent the whole day in hospital and just wanted a quiet drink and she was nasty. I didn’t have the energy to fight back. Will never go back there again. So disappointed and really just made me feel awful.

Service was really slow for two club sandwich and a burger. They made a mistake on one of the club sandwich giving the wrong bread (we asked for dark bread, they brought white one). They did not even prepared a new one, just transferred what was inside the club sandwich into new pieces of bread which they did not even toasted. When we pointed it out, they said they don’t usually toast the bread for the broodje hummus which sounded a bit like bullshit. I specifically asked for no bacon on the burger and guess what, the burger came with bacon… and again, they didn’t do a whole new burger, just removed the bacon and brought it back. What if I was allergic to bacon and couldn’t have it touch my food? And to add on this, the burger was overcooked and was not made of ground beef. Terrible food, product and experience overall and would not recommend anyone to stop by this place.

This was a very bad experience. The hummus club sandwich arrived with the wrong bread and when we mentioned it they just took it back and transferred the content of the first sandwich into two new slices that they didn’t toasted. I specifically asked for no bacon in the burger and they brought it with bacon. When I said there was a mistake they just took it back and brought the same burger back just with the bacon removed. Very bad experience and food.

And everything was cut with a dirty knife, because there were pieces of avocado (and maybe something else) on the flatbread, which is not in this dish. We waited for our order for 30 minutes. We didn't eat this dish, but it was included in the bill
