Im not going to lie, I was hesitant at first, from a previous unrelated seafood experience last week or so. But im glad i took the chance. My friend invited me here for his birthday party. I was not disappointed. The great food, great service, no complaints.

We'd seen this diner a few times from the highway, and decided to stop while in the area for lunch. The exterior looked rather rundown, but we ventured in anyway, and holy cow we're we stunned. This is a really nice restaurant inside, with spectacular food and excellent prices. I very much recommend stopping in.

I picked up a food order at the Blue Dolphin for our work crew today. Normally, I wouldn't have ordered the roast beef with poutine fries, but I was very pleased to have gotten it. It was amazing, and honestly, some of the best poutine I've ever had. The woman who worked as the hostess and cashier was also very sweet, and incredibly polite. I will definitely be returning to eat there, and I highly suggest that everyone make the stop while in the area. Great work, y'all!

What to write about this diner, when It is really so much more then that. The food is incredible, portion sizes more then plenty, prices unbeatable in this area, the service is amazing, could not want for more. From the Owner, to the server, to the lady cleaning the tables, they are just incredibly kind, and have a heart of gold. For us regulars it's like home away from home. I can't speak for the food because all I get is the grilled cheese (which is amazing by the way) but we love coming here with our kids. The food is good, the people are nice. It always seems like someone's happy to see you. Their desserts are out of this world. We drove 30 minutes just to grab some more than once. The only thing I wish for would be a bigger kid menu. Other than that. It's an awesome place

Our first visit at the Blue Dolphin will never be forgotten!! The atmosphere was perfect, the service exceptional!! I wish I’d gotten the name of our waiter, he was so gracious and accommodating exceptional actually😊. The food was the best I’d ever eaten. I ordered the chicken kabobs, Delicious!!! It was my birthday so he and the other staff brought over the most delicious Cannoli cake I’d ever eaten and blessed me with a birthday song!! I’ll never forget this experience. Thank you Blue Dolphin and our amazing waiter!!!!❤️ We’ll be back!!!!!

What a find! We were in the midst of a road trip and sort of giving up on finding anything other than chains in this part of New York. We were so lucky to spot the Blue Dolphin. Great seafood, nice-sized portions, good prices, friendly service. Definitely a great meal!

What a great experience my grand parents had recommended this place a while back so decided to give it a try with my wife on Valentine's Day and wow they did not disappoint the food was perfect and on point no complaints at all would prefer they're sea food over red lobster anyway and holy cow the portions are great sizes especially when come to the deserts omg they cakes are huge and the slices are so big they almost don't fit in the containers half the time want to give a big thank you and wow what an amazing hostess I don't get her name but she the lil tiny pregnant lady that is beyond sweetness I was very disappointed to find that she was not getting any tips as she was doing a lot of work seating people,cashing them out and getting deserts for everyone and all with such a lovely smile on her face I will definitely be returning to this oh such golden gen of an establishment I have found with all it's very well rounded corners there is something for everyone to love at the blue dolphin thanks again to everyone who worked Valentine day 2025 you made mine and my wife's day and meal such a great and amazing experience ❣️❣️

Homeade family owned greek restaurant. Always a pleasure to come here when visiting my sister. Large portions and huge desserts, everything I've had here was enjoyable.

My friend and I go there to catch up. A great friendship in the past 8 years. The atmosphere and food is prefect for a 6am breakfast.

The kids shared a spaghetti and meatballs. They loved it. My dad got a burger with mushrooms. He says it was very good. I did not try the coleslaw as it looked suspicious. My dad did not either. I got a gyro with Greek salad. They were both delicious. Although the meat was beef, not lamb, no option to change. All in all the food was good. We were on a road trip so it filled us very well. Kind of made me sleepy after... But we made it to our destination with our bellies full and leftovers to boot. The server was very nice and very busy.

I had the Delmonico Steak Salad with oil and vinegar. It was such a large portion, I took home half. It was delicious though. The Greek Lemon soup was fantastic.

Me and my husband always stop here when we are up this way. Food is always wonderful and the people are very friendly. I would definitely recommend that people stop and try it.😊

All of our food was fantastic. Seriously. It was that good. I had the turkey club and it was the very best and freshest turkey I've ever eaten. My wife had the Smothered Pork and it was the best Pork I've ever had. The staff was fast, kind, and responsive. The restaurant is currently decked out in it's christmas decor and you can tell that they put effort and care into the look. Will not only return but will tell everyone that heads this way that this is a must stop. Yummy

Food is always good and they are willing to make substitutions. Desserts are incredible and portions are large. Prices are very reasonable. Waitstaff are friendly and welcoming.

Excellent lunch with professor Lundgren. On an early afternoon in Mid November 2022 my wife and I enjoyed a Haddock with Mac & Cheese dinner. Far fewer customers than in previous years, but the food was very good. 10-11-2023 Eight of us had a lovely lunch. Food was very good and Waitress (Sam) was excellent! 6-23-2025, still enjoying breakfast omelets anytime! 12-11-2025, omelet excellent.

We stopped to eat while traveling in the area, easy to access from the highway. Food was much better than I thought it would be. Would happily go there again. I have been coming here for YEARS for lunch and/or dinner. Great food, Very affordable, delicious, homemade and friendly staff. Come hungry leave happy with leftovers. This place gets PACKED. Way better than RED LOBSTERS. My favorite meal is the Broiled Sea food combo with the broiled crab cakes. On weekends? For dinner? Get there early or less wait for a while. 7 years of eating here and I've never had a complaint. EAT WELL AND LIVE LONG. PSA: this place has the best CHICKEN PARM in the whole state of NY.

The Blue Dolphin is a local staple. Great food and great prices with hearty portion sizes. We love to go here for family breakfasts!

Visiting a friend and he took us here for lunch. I was not disappointed at all, the food was amazing and servings were plentiful. Pretty darn good gyro. Staff is nice love my Greeks! If I’m back in town this’ll be one of my go to spots. Prices were pretty good especially for the sizes. So yeah good food, go service, and great spot for lunch.

We left Corning, NY at 8:30 am, with the idea that we'd grab breakfast along 86. By 11:30 am, we would have been happy with almost anything. Fortunately, the Blue Dolphin Diner was open and ready to serve. We enjoyed a perfectly lovely breakfast. Hubbie had an omelette and wheat toast while I had scrambled eggs, bacon, and an English muffin. Both orders were well-prepared, tasty, and fresh. Our waitress, Kristine, was polite, efficient, and friendly. The diner, while sporting dated furniture and paint colors, was nonetheless festively decked out for Halloween which enhanced the environmental cheer. If we ever venture this way again, we'll definitely stop in. Bottom line: The Blue Dolphin rocks. Thanks for being our breakfast champions.

Breakfast is a 10/10. Omelette, Rye Toast, and Home fries. Don’t get me started on how big the cakes are! Nothing better than having a good breakfast with your best friend!

I stopped by to get a salmon burger on my way back to the hotel. Never been here before. As I walked in, it reminded me of Big Boy or Elias Brothers back in Michigan, but more classic diner also. I felt like I had to sit, have a cup of black coffee with a slice of baklava while I waited for my to go order. The baklava was amazing BTW. I didn't get a picture of the salmon burger with sweet potato fries. I was hungry and it was so darned good I missed the opportunity. 😁

Danielle, our server, was incredible, treated us like family, brought our food quickly, and checked on us often, always with a huge smile 😃. The food was phenomenal overall, although, some things to note for those interested. The ham dish, was a sweet and sour type, it included fruit like pineapple, but also? Green grapes, which we were surprised about. My son was not a fan, but he was able to go around and eat the ham. I ordered the pork dinner special. I requested the French onion soup, but here I was disappointed. It was not what I was expecting. The flavor was not terrible, but the presentation could have been improved. They did not melt the cheese the way it should be, but rather sprinkled some shredded cheese into the soup. Only afew croutons to count for the bread, and a ton of onions. The broth was ok, but I had to add salt, which i should not have to do. I think if it were reduced down a bit more that would take care of that. For bread, sourdough croutons, more of them, and then lay a nice piece of greyere or mozzarella or something like that on top of a crock type bowl, then put in an oven, or salamander thing to "bake" so it gets a nice crust and melts well. Also, the stuffing for the pork dinner? I recommend not putting it under the pork chops? They get very gummy. I ate them because they are delicious, but it is a texture issue. Stuffing should be fluffy, not flat and wet. My pork was delightful, fall apart awesome. I ordered candied sweet potatoes and they were the best I'd had in a very long time. My hubby ordered meat loaf and he let me try some. It was delicious. Nice crust, tender on the inside, just enough binder, very filling. My son and my mom in law order the lemon orzo soup. It was delicious, as always. Next time I will stick with that. I know how delicious that is! Mom in law got the turkey dinner special and said it was incredible. Oh, and we all had leftovers, which is had for a late night snack (mine) Thank you always for a nice end to a great day in the southern tier. Im so glad I spotted this gem is a diner a couple years ago! Best kept secret! With the best prices around!!!

Okay so, full transparency—my husband and I attempted to go to The Blue Dolphin last week but got sidetracked by the new Chef Stanleys. We were actually in Blue Dolphin parking lot and decided to try out the new place instead. Not thrilled with the new place so this week we made it a point to go to The Blue Dolphin. We were greeted and seated promptly and drink orders taken. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and gave us time to view the menu. I had some questions about the crab cakes which she answered and helped me make my decision. My husband ordered the roast turkey dinner with all the “fixins” and I got the fried crab cakes with rice, salad and fries. Dinner rolls with whipped butter were brought to the table along with our salads. Fresh crispy greens with cherry tomatoes cukes, and thick creamy ranch dressing. Delicious. Our dinners were served shortly after and the portions were massive. My husbands roast turkey dinner was actual thick slices of roast turkey—not just a thick cut of deli meat that some places try to pass off. Seasoned gravy, creamy mashed taytos, delicious stuffing and a little cup of cranberry sauce. He devoured it. Now on to my crab cakes. They were huge fatties. Lol and I wanted to love them but I made a fatal flaw. When I heard fried I made the mistake of thinking they were pan fried— not deep fried. I know for a fact that if I had gotten them broiled I would have loved them but the deep fried version gave them a little bit of a “mushy” mouth feel. When our waitress came to check she immediately saw that I wasn’t eating and asked if I liked my meal, I was honest and said it wasn't my favorite thing but that it wasn't their fault I just misunderstood the cooking procedure. She asked if they could get me anything else and I said no it was my fault not theirs. She insisted. Lol Actually said “we’re not going to let you leave here unhappy. Do you like haddock? We have a great fried haddock!” I said sure and within minutes I had a beautiful fried haddock in front of me. Lightly breaded, flaky, moist and well seasoned. Melt in your mouth delicious. Fries were crispy, salty and perfect. We finished our meals and definitely had to get to go boxes. We were not leaving without some delicious desserts we saw on our way in. Strawberry cheesecake for him, Baklava for me. When I tell you that the piece of cheesecake was enough to satisfy two people, I am not lying. Very light, airy and delicious…but my Baklava??? Heaven sent. This is an authentic Greek diner and if you love a “real” diner then you know that Greek is the only way to go. Our food was fantastic but more than that, the service was above and beyond. Portions…huge, prices…reasonable, service…exemplary, taste…perfect. If you haven't tried this long standing Apalachin staple, go now. You won’t regret it. (Attaching some pics—sadly I didn't get a pic of my haddock but trust me, it was delicious!! And check out the size of that “piece” of Baklava 😍😍😍

Their Greek salad is fantastic. We get it with chicken. The chicken is deliciously marinated and the serving size is generous. If you order the full size, make sure you're hungry or you end up with leftovers. I've included a photo to entice you The BLT sandwich came with plenty of bacon. It was served up fresh with hot fries. I ordered it with extra mayo and they brought it nicely on the side as you see in the photo. Absolutely one of my favorite items on their menu. The BLT club is actually fantastic, too, but its size is so large, I rarely can eat an entire sandwich and the side orders. For split pea soup lovers like me, I don't think there is a finer bowl of it anywhere. They only offer it on certain days. You'll want to take home an extra quart of it. (I'm not sure that's an option, but you'll want it to be an option for you!!) Actually, we've never been disappointed with any food I'm there. It's a clean delicious place to eat.

Very friendly service and good value for money! Stopped by here when driving upstate and ordered a Tuna Melt and a Fried Haddock Sandwich and both cam with fries. Was pretty tasty and the portion sizes were huge so we left with plenty of leftovers for later. Our server Gracie was very sweet and attentive and made us feel very welcome!

Been here several times! And I haven't had a problem at all! Keep loving it everytime. The husband and I ate here for my birthday today. We got two specials, the open steak sandwich, and the garlic chicken over tortellini. Both were amazing. Had a small Greek salad and two soups of the day, Greek lemon and Italian wedding. The Greek lemon is a bit more zesty than I thought it was prior. But still great! Ordered two full cheesecakes for the following day. 🥰 Love this place.

Large quiet diner. Seemed like a lot of regulars. The waitresses were very sweet and I could hear them addressing some of the customers by name and knew what they liked to order. The food was kinda middle of the road. They offer very good homemade desserts. Their slices of cake could easily feed 3 people! If you're driving through and need a place to eat look for the huge blue dolphin on the front of their building.

We went there for dessert look at the size of these slices! Cannoli cake and plain cheesecake, delicious!

We like the fried haddock and mac/chs but our portions weren't that big. Food was good. Our server was nice, but a little inattentive. Had to chase him down to get service. Desserts were great, but almost too much of a portion.

Very generous portions and cooked perfectly. Garlic shrimp & scallops, rare prime rib, fresh bread, Greek salads. A little disappointed there was no baked potato. Shared cheesecake for dessert. Stilted service. Not bad, just off. Water leak on floor.

This one of my favorite diners, and conveniently located off Route 17 / I-86 east. Owners are Greek, and really know how to prepare Greek entrees and special soups. They also have standard American fare, and prices are very reasonable. But the biggest draw are their delicious desserts. They are amazing in scope and diversity. Also, like to mention that restaurant is clean and bright, making a nice place to visit. I was just there again last week, as I have some sons that live in Binghamton.

A favorite restaurants stop for years. They don't have as many Greek dishes as in the past, but food is still good, waitstaff personable and desserts to die for! Huge cakes and cheesecakes, lots of pastries in addition to baklava. I had the souvlaki pita sandwich, but I can also recommend garlic mussels with linguine. Other Italian dishes offered, along with usual diner fare. Prices have gone up some, like every where else, but still a good value.

I ride an electric mobility scooter, and had traveled back home to visit family. I brought my emotional support dog with me. I called ahead to ask if she was allowed. The woman I spoke to said it was okay. I am very grateful because it was 85° that afternoon. She laid on her mat and we all had a wonderful lunch. The dessert was colossal!! If you love strawberry 🍓cheesecake, save room! It is a HUGE portion! 😋 There is an access ramp to enter on the side for wheelchairs and scooters and the women's bathroom (I didn't venture into the men's 😲) has a handicap accessible one.

A nice classic atmosphere that really feels like you’re at your local hometown spot. Stopped in for lunch tried the blue dolphin burger and the bacon burger, the blue dolphin burger was huge!! Very filling, came with a side of slaw which was tasty. The burger could use a little more seasoning “ just personal preference “ service was good . Sitting at a booth the case of delicious dessert caught my eye! After much debate I went with the cheesecake, now this is a very generous portion and well worth the 8 something a slice… . Lunch its self was under 20 bucks making this a very affordable lunch go to….. . . If you didn’t save room after your meal grab a dessert to go!!

Food was excellent. Delicious turkey club. High quality for a random diner off the highway. Prices were reasonable. I would recommend this diner. Only negative thing I can say is that the service was pretty slow. There was also an odd garnish of lettuce and tomato under our mozzarella sticks but it didn't affect the dish.

The food was mediocre, homefries were luke warm and service was awful. The waitress brought coffee without creamers. She said she would bring them. The coffee was just warm when I went to the cashier and asked for cream. The place has gone down hill recently.

Food was inexpensive and you get alot for your money. The reason I gave it a 3 was my salmon burger was like warm and my hubby's burger was overcooked.

This place is showing its age. Ripped and torn booths, crumbling entrance, ancient dusty, decor. Also no WiFi. Service is friendly enough but they are SLOW. I can only assume this all stems from poor management and the indifferent kitchen staff. As I sat quietly, I could hear the waitresses complain about various things, and when I requested my food prepared a certain way, she stated “well hopefully the cook is in a good mood that he will actually listen”. While the prices are a little higher like everybody else, the food taste is fine. This place needs to close for a month and perform a top to bottom cleaning and remodel. Maybe they’ll call one of those “Save my restaurant” type shows, because the owners clearly can’t see the crumbling burning forest from the trees.

Haven't been there in awhile. We have never been happy with the quality of there food. Yesterday's meal was no different. I got the corned beef and cabbage special. The meal was totally lacking in flavor. Corned beef was half fat. No seasonings what so ever. I used salt , pepper and butter to give it anything that resembled flavor. On the plus side the server was very attentive. We will not be back!

Really wanted to like this diner but were sadly disappointed. The service was really slow from seating through ordering and paying. We had young children with us and wanted to be speedy but had to wait so long even though the restaurant was quite empty when we got there and it was only 5:00. Our French onion soup was fine but low effort. They didn’t even broil the cheese on top, it was just cold shreds of cheese. When we were done with the soup the waitress didn’t clear the bowls, just brought plates of food. My tuna melt was pretty bland and disappointing, husband’s chicken sandwich was fine. They both came with a side of coleslaw that was absolutely swimming in dressing and looked like coleslaw soup. Our daughter’s kids meal was supposed to come with ice cream but there was none. There were other things on the menu that look good but the lackluster food quality and slow service are dealbreakers!

Disappointing visit 4 of us met for meal. One had breakfast, the other 3 had lunch. We were there for almost 2 hours. Had one of the worst and smallest milkshakes for about $6. Cheeseburger was OK but served on large roll, so the meat was lost in the roll. My wife had tunafish on soggy bread and did not eat much of it. She brought it home, but decided to throw it away. The other couple didn't say much at all. Don't recommend and won't visit again

The Greek Lemon soup of the day was lumpy flour and water...no lemon flavor, I asked for lemon slices, but could not make it taste any better. Our waitress, very sweet, replaced it with a very greasy chicken vegetable soup. The Shrimp basket was overcooked, frozen pieces of 80-100 count, very tiny and all breading. Yes, it was in the middle of nowhere, but still, I was hoping for some homecooking. My husband enjoyed his fruit salad.

Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience. I made the mistake of dining at Blue Dolphin. The food was so oily and mushy that I could barely tell what I was eating, it all tasted like grease and despair. The restaurant itself was filthy, with sticky tables and the smell of mildew and mold lingering in the air. The real horror came hours later when I ended up in the hospital with severe FOOD POISONING.. I’ll spare you the graphic details, but let’s just say it was a battle I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Their lack of cleanliness was painfully obvious, and I can’t believe I ignored the warning signs. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place at all costs. Your stomach and your health will thank you.

I took my mom out for lunch. It was my first time there. When we were finally seated we noticed garbage on the floor by our booth, the booth was dusty and sticky. The place has a moldy smell. When we got our appetizers, mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce, they were on a plate around a bowl of sauce,looked like they took a dirty plate with leftover salad on it. Turns out that's how they garnish it .. any way, the mozzarella sticks were hard and the cheese inside wasn't melted. I got my blue dolphin burger was supposed to be medium rare, it was raw with no flavor and the coleslaw was soupy and tasted out of date. My mom's dish was a hot roast beef sandwich. They put two untoasted pieces of bread on a plate and a slab of meat with a pound of gravy on it, tasted horrible. Our waitress never asked us how our food was or asked if we want a refill on our drinks. Afterwards we went up and bought a few pieces of cake to take home, we get home and the chocolate Bavarian cheese cake is spoiled. Tasted like rotten milk. My mother has been in the bathroom since we've been home. I will never go there again. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant.

Got a reuben sandwich, fries and coleslaw. The corned beef was so dry and tough, couldn't eat it. Coleslaw was like cole slaw soup. Replaced it with a burger that was dry like a hockey puck. Not impressed, to say the least.

Most ridiculous experience I've ever had in a diner. Was sat down and ignored for 10 minutes while every table around me got sat after and had their drink orders taken. Booth I was sat at had a dirty fork on one seat and the other one was poorly maintained and almost falling off. As I was leaving, one of the servers walked by the table, saw the menu, picked it up and went about her day clearly not even wondering what happened. Completely oblivious. Will never return.

My parents and I came here expecting a nice dinner. We wanted to enjoy a night out, have good food, and go someplace other than the chain restaurants in the area. We have been in the past and the entire experience - food, atmosphere, service, cleanliness - had been great. However, this was not the case this evening. The visit started off with going to the restroom to change my baby's diaper - and the bathroom had a funky rancid smell. It wasn't a normal bathroom smell - and definitely wasn't a cleaning product smell. I did everything I could to be quick as it was really hard not to gag while in the bathroom. The waitress initially set us in a booth where my baby - that's still in a high chair - would be in the way of every patron. We asked to be reseated someplace where we wouldn't be in the way with the high chair. They begrudgingly moved us. We didn't get drinks for 15 minutes after being reseated. Once we ordered, we waited over an hour for our food. Once it came, we were given a short (but not very sincere) "sorry about the wait - your food was served to someone else". While we sat and waited, we noticed a dirty knife, lettuce, a bun and other food from a previous patron on the floor at our booth. As we left, we did tell the cashier about our experience...and she did discount our food a little, but not enough to compensate the terrible experience we had. We were there for over an hour with not great service, and a dirty booth. My family and I will not be back. It's disappointing that it was not better given the few places to eat out in the area.

Me and my family went to blue dolphin for lunch while we were shopping and I asked for a bacon burger that was 11 dollars and when I got it it was very raw and not cooked so I asked the server to put it in the grill for a little more since I asked for it to be well done and I had to wait 20 minutes for them to add it on the grill and when I got it is was barely medium rare when I asked for well done.The server never asked how the food was and was very short with us.The cashier asked how our food is and we were honest and she didn’t really give a care about it.

It took me years to get my wife to go back and try Blue Dolphin after they served her ham with fruit. You would have thought it would have been pineapple but no it was mellon with a fruit sauce that tasted like it was spoiled. Anyway went in this morning and was waiting over ten minutes for a waiter and then they started service tables around us that were seated after us. No one came to our table.
