The food was delicious. We ordered a burger with fries and a Philly with onion rings. Will absolutely be back! Best lunch we have had in a while!

We ordered the shoyu ramen and added mushrooms and it was delicious! The pork belly was cooked perfectly and the noodles were chewy and wonderful. We will definitely be back!

I am not sure where to begin so let's start with the service. The waiter was polite knowledgeable, he gave us recommendations based on a few questions he asked. The was delicious. My husband and I cleaned the bowl. My husband had the truffle burgers, I had the grilled chicken salad with the homemade Caesar dressing and street corn. The burgers were so juicy and absolutely delish, the salad crisp and fresh even the croutons were tasty. The homemade Cesar was the best I believe I have ever had. The street corn did not disappoint at all. The waiter was extremely attentive the entire time and was patient as we asked questions. 5 stars is too low, but I can't give more. We will be back!

Ramen was delicious!!! Didn’t expect them to have ramen and so glad we went in. Frezno tan tan was the right spice level and so flavorful. Great service. Very clean. All around great experience. Recommend!

I love this place! The food is all delicious. I’ve had multiple of the ramens, the mini burgers, and salad. Even their lemonade is really good! Just maybe bring a jacket, I’m always a little cold in the dining room. I also really appreciate that when they package your ramen to-go they separate the broth, noodles, and other components so things don’t get soggy.

Visited KLG for the first time today. Excellent service and food. I had the Caesar salad with blackened chicken; husband had the chicken po'boy. Will definitely visit again to try other entrees as well as try the takeout. While we were there several people were coming in for takeout. Always nice to try a new restaurant and be pleased with the service and food. Wish I knew the name of the gentleman who sat us and our female server; I would give them high marks!!

Was insanely good, can't remember the last time I ate this well. Shoyu Ramen is probably the best meal I have ever eaten. Corn Appetizer is also very well made. Truffle Burger and French Fries were highly praised by my pal. Waitress was incredibly nice, food came very quickly. Portion size is pretty solid, you will not leave hungry.

A cure for the common lunch experience! We received a friendly greeting, were seated quickly and had water before we put down the menus. The place is spotless. My spouse ordered a burger and I had the grouper sandwich, both to our liking. Comfortable surroundings and an enthusiastic staff.

First time at this place, I had their fish sandwich and the burger. Their food was absolutely amazing. It was fresh and truly homemade. I hardly ever like to eat ranch, but this place changed my mind with their homemade ranch. For Ranch lovers, this is the place.

This place has some AMAZING ramen!! You can add toppings. I had a big bowl of the Shoyu ramen and added some Katsu chicken, and it was too much.... the base portion was more than enough. My brother also ordered the fried Gyoza, and it was delicious too!! 😋 Can't wait to come back for more.

We found this establishment online looking for a place that had reasonable prices and good reviews. LET ME TELL YOU RIGHT NOW…..DO NOT SEARCH ANYMORE!!! You have to come give this place a try!! I guarantee you, you will love it and you will come back!!! Jess was the best waitress I have had in a very long time and the food was AMAZING!!!! We had the Truffle Mushroom Mini Burgers, Ramen, Walnut Cranberry Grilled Chicken Salad, Crab Rangoon Nachos. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!! BEST DINING EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EXPERIENCED IN A VERY LONG TIME!!

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant after seeing posts on social media and we are glad we did. What an AMAZING experience. From the time we walked in until the time we left we experienced the BEST service. We tried two different burgers and they were really good. I normally add mayo, ketchup, and mustard to my burger but this time we didn’t need it. The fries, the burger, the lemonade, and the ranch were all 10 out of 10. We both agreed that we will be regulars.

Wow, this place is a hidden gem! Our first time here, but won't be our last. Appetizers: The street corn was amazing and the pork gyoza the best I've ever had. Carolina burger was actually really good, but the chicken sandwich with the seasoning and cabbage was incredible. Home made fries and ranch was soooo good. For ramen, we did the grouper and the curry. Both were excellent. Our server (young girl, didn't catch her name) was fast and very helpful. We will be back again soon.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Food and service were awesome! The food had great flavor and was surprisingly filling. The ramen was very flavorful and the egg in the ramen was cooked to perfection as explained on the menu. The cheese cake is a Japanese style cheese cake so it’s not like the american cheese cake, yet it is still amazing as expected. The cheese cake is not as sweet so it’s perfect if you aren’t looking for something super sweet! During my visit we got ramen and sandwiches as well. They were all done to perfect! The chef came out and gave us our dessert, he was super nice and I could see he truly care about our experience we had!

Ramen was definitely the best near Waterset. Only gave a 3/5 for the atmosphere because the kitchen staff/employees were a bit loud in their conversations. Waitress was very nice. Will definitely be back to try other items.

We saw this hidden gem driving back from Apollo Beach one evening. Finally found time to stop by. We were NOT disappointed. The food is fresh tasting and delicious. The sauces are homemade. The prices were reasonable. My husband and I drink water (we aren't pop or tea drinkers), but we ordered an appetizer, 2 entrées, and dessert and our total before the tip was $53. I highly recommend the wonton nachos(see picture)! That is a must have. If you are sharing you need a full order. The crab is shredded on top of wonton chips with homemade cream cheese drizzled over the top. The sweet Thai Chili sauce for dipping was so tasty. I had the French Onion sliders. Cooked perfectly and the aioli spread was the best I have eaten (in recent months). My husband had the Grouper sliders. The fish was Grouper, not Cod! Nothing worse than ordering Grouper and being served a different fish. The remoulade was also perfection. The grouper over over the sides of the bun! Did I mention all of the sauces were homemade? Including the ranch dressing! Lastly we had apple dumplings with Carmel dipping sauce. The dumpling was homemade. My husband actually drank the Carmel sauce when we were done eating 🤣. We plan to go back to try the Ramen. Our only "negative" was he serves French's Ketchup. With food that good, the ketchup should be Heinz. However, the fries came with ranch dressing and were HANDCUT fresh potato fries. I didn't need the ketchup. This restaurant has only been open for 8 months. Go check them out. You won't be disappointed. #supportlocalbusiness

Really cute little place in a very convenient location to Waterset. Good for a date night or a quick family dinner; their kids menu was just right. We ordered the grilled corn & gyoza appetizers, which were both really good, especially the Thai chili dipping sauce for the gyoza. I used it on my corn too, because I felt like it needed some extra spice. For dinner we ordered the kids ramen, the French onion mini burgers, & the buffalo chicken handhelds. All three were fabulous and all came with boardwalk-style fries. The homemade ranch was insanely good (I think it had dill in it?!). My daughter's only complaint was that the ramen was not spicy enough. I added salt and pepper to flavor it a bit more, but maybe Sriracha would have been better. I tried it, and the broth was still an excellent flavor, similar to miso soup. The service was outstanding, we didn't have to wait for anything and the pace of the food was on point because we took our time with the apps and the dinner didn't feel rushed. Maybe some minor room for improvement but they literally just opened, so I'd still give 5 stars - we'll be back soon. If I could change a few things it would be: 1) Add some sound-dampening panels to the ceiling or walls- the acoustics are very warehouse-y. 2) Ditch the cans and add a freestyle or some kind of drink machine. 3) Give your guests the ability to choose a spice level, because some of us are from the South and need the heat. ;) 4) Find a way to advertise to the street that you're open now... it was really hard to tell while driving on Big Bend, until we were right in front of the restaurant. Overall 5 stars! Everyone can find something to enjoy here - really great concept! xoxo

Sooo sad the Ramen is gone, I plead that you bring it back, the sliders are great and perfectly cooked, but the ramen was top notch and I miss the spicy bird was peak 😭😭😭

Very nice balance of menu options. She enjoyed salad and I enjoyed the Ramen. The Frenzo Ramen was pretty spicy hot, but the onsen egg was just like they have in Japan. Must try.

Unequivocally the best ramen in the area. The effort put into the broth is noticeable immediately. The krab rangoon nachos were a creative play on a classic and was amazing also. Will definitely be back multiple times.

We love this place. It's quick, the food is tasty and affordable and the staff is wonderful. We just tried their new menu and love the new full size burgers just as much as the minis. Fingers crossed that they bring back the ramen but even without its a great local spot.

You must try this place. I got my grouper sandwich blackened and on lettuce instead of bread. Wow the fish, the sauce just so good! Onion rings and sauce another wow. Chicken Walnut salad with home made dressing 💯, Philly cheese steak was better than in Philadelphia. Sauteed mushrooms onions peppers cheese and steak on a soft bread 💯

We had an amazing Mother’s Day brunch here! Everything was absolutely delicious. The wings were the best we’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with their homemade ranch. The breakfast burger was juicy and satisfying, and the chicken and waffles hit all the right notes. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy, and dessert was a sweet strawberry biscuit and was a special treat. Service was just as impressive. Jessica was so sweet and made us feel right at home. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend for a special occasion or any time you want a great meal with friendly service! We will be back!

This place is a hidden gem that masterfully combines refined flavors with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff went above and beyond—knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The menu is a unique fusion that somehow makes grilled seafood and gourmet ramen feel like they were meant to be served together. Every dish we tried was executed with precision and creativity—from the perfectly seared fish to the rich, deeply flavorful ramen broth that was absolutely next level. Even the small details, like house-made garnishes and balanced seasoning, stood out. It’s rare to find a restaurant that nails both service and cuisine this well. Whether you’re craving comfort or something elevated, this spot delivers. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Tampa. Can’t wait to return!

This place did not disappoint from the moment we got there. We were greeted super fast and sat right away. Drinks ordered and brought quickly. Server gave us a run down of the menu and a little history behind the whole cuisine after I asked about it. The ramen was so good. The miso grouper one was amazing and plentiful. The other one was super tasty and packed with goodies. The street corn we started with was great too. I highly recommend it. This place seems like it’s everywhere with the menu but they nail it all. I read another review that said it’s like Japanese fusion and I think that about sums it up. Give this place a try, you won’t regret it.

Highly Recommend – Delicious Food and Excellent Service!!! We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The deconstructed crab rangoon is an absolute must-try—mouthwatering and unique. The ramen bowl was flavorful and satisfying, the kids loved their chicken and waffles, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her burger. The menu offers tasty and creative options that you don’t see every day, which we truly appreciated. There was a slight delay in service at the beginning, but the staff went above and beyond to make up for it, even comping our drinks. The owner was exceptionally kind, polite, and attentive, checking in with us frequently to ensure we had a great experience. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed and would love to return to support this wonderful business. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious food with a different twist and a team that truly values its patrons!

My boyfriend found this place randomly during a Google search, looking for a place to eat. He had ramen and I had the Caesar salad—both were incredible. You can tell everything is homemade and they take pride in their product. There’s nothing like it. It was so good, we came back the next day and were delighted again. This will be one of our spots for sure!

Family owned place... each thing is made to order... unusual menu... ranges from sliders to Ramen... reasonable prices... sliders of various types looked great at the table next to us... presentation style wonderful. Ramen was the best I've had... crab Rangoon appetizer also highly recommended... be sure to drizzle the Thai sweet chili sauce on it! Be patient, since each thing is made for you..... worth the wait! Doesn't look like much outside... strip mall, dark windows... don't let that fool you. Well worth a trip!! If going to see the manatee at apollo beach, stop by here too, both places worth a visit!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kings Lake Grill, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! I started with the chicken wings and fried gyoza, both of which were outstanding. The wings were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, while the gyoza had a nice crunch on the outside and a delicious filling. For my main course, I tried the spicy beef miso ramen for the first time, and it did not disappoint. The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the toppings complemented the dish beautifully. I was thoroughly impressed! I’m already looking forward to my next visit, where I plan to try the pork ramen. If it’s anything like the dishes I had this time, I’m sure it will be just as great. Overall, Kings Lake Grill offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Having recently visited a newly opened restaurant near my workplace, I had the opportunity to enjoy some outstanding and impressive dishes. The first highlight was the delicious ramen, with a rich flavor and spicy kick that suited my taste perfectly. Especially for those who love spicy food, this is definitely an excellent choice. The grilled corn with cheese topping was a pleasant surprise. The unique and tasty flavor of this dish left a lasting impression. To end the meal, I chose cheesecake. This dessert was perfectly prepared, not too sweet, creating a wonderful balance for the entire meal. Regarding the ambiance, the restaurant exudes an air of luxury. However, from the perspective of a young diner, I would prefer the space to be a bit more youthful and vibrant. Overall, this was a memorable culinary experience. This new restaurant will surely be an attractive destination for those who love Japanese cuisine with a modern twist.

My son was looking for a ramen place close by and noticed this place with a 4.9 * review. Ok, how good is it? So good that I found my favorite burger in Florida and I am a burger lover from Texas. The brunch burger is divine, and I am about to order another one today, so hooked. My 12-year-old son loves the Ramen and so far this is his favorite after him being fortunate enough to visit 49 states. Let's talk about the brunch burger. Bacon, fried egg, American cheese, and top quality beef. Ever since moving to Apollo Beach this year I've yet to find a burger that I can say I am in LOVE with until Kings Lake Grill. This burger ranks top of my list to my favorite burger place in my hometown of Austin, TX...other notable burgers have been found for me in Huntsville, TX, Reading, UK and Belgrade, Serbia. Kings Lake Grill gets top spot on my favorite burger map. Hungry as I type this out, come here for the brunch burger or any of their Ramen....I was skeptical about a place that servers Ramen and Burgers because restaurants usually specialize in one product when it comes to burgers and ramen......omg, what a surprise. The quality of the ingredients is amazing. I feel like I can finally write a review after visiting this place 10 times. This place is a true gem and so glad they exist. Obviously will be coming back for more. My son loves the Grouper Miso and Frenzo Tan Tan Men. The food is perfect, staff is friendly and great at educating you on the origin of the menu and the founders inspiration. We've eaten in and taken out, both experiences are superb. The fries are also amazing. Ok just try this place.

A true hidden gem! Even the name of the restaurant doesn't clearly describe the creative Asian cuisine. The menu is a fusion of American and Japanese entrées and appetizers. Even the American side of the menu has an Asian influence. But, it's the Ramen Project and the great reviews that made it too tempting to pass up. I had to try it. First of all, I love that they have different variations of mini burgers and chicken sandwiches. It can be a meal for one person, or a shared small plate. The appetizers also look amazing. I can't wait to try them next time. What I really wanted to try wasn't on the menu. I saw a picture of a tonkotsu mushroom ramen that was one of their daily specials. I hope they add it to their regular menu. It took me a while to decide because they all looked so good. There are some very helpful pictures posted on their website. I knew I made the right decision after my server raved about the tan tan men broth. She said it's the most flavorful of all of them. She was totally right. It's the best tan tan men ramen I've ever had. Although, I have to warn you that it's very spicy. I can tolerate a medium heat level, but this felt a little more than that. It felt more like a Szechuan style than Japanese style of cuisine. What's funny is that I just couldn't stop eating it. I was okay with it once I got past the first couple of spicy hot spoonfuls. The broth was so creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. Maybe it's the blend of duck, chicken, and dashi stock. I don't know, but I've never had anything like it from anywhere in the Tampa Bay region. I had something similar in DC, but this one was even better than that. Oh, and that onsen tamago was executed perfectly. Now I know why they call it a custard egg. That texture was certainly there. I'm usually all about the seasoned egg, but this one paired so well with this rich broth. Amazing! There was a lot of spicy ground beef, and the pork belly chashu that I added totally satisfied my pork craving. There were 2 thick slices of delicious chashu. Everything including the ramen add-ons were reasonably priced. They unfortunately don't have the souffle cheesecake anymore. Ask your server for the dessert specials. I ended up getting the cinnamon apple gyoza. It was delicious! They also make their own ice cream, which I didn't get to try. So, it's located in the Kings Lake Center off of Big Bend Rd. It's kind of difficult to miss it with all the traffic & construction going on there. It's slow moving traffic. Just turn onto Kings Lake Drive. It's in the plaza between Old Big Bend and Big Bend where the Banh Mi Factory is located. It's very close to the I-75 exit. The atmosphere is a little odd because of a division. I think it was an office space and pizzeria. It occupies 2 suites at the corner of the plaza. The tables are spaced out along the wall with a separate dining area around the corner. The service is great! I received so many descriptions and recommendations. They certainly have room to grow, and make it their own. I can already see that it's popular, and with good reason. I'm glad I made a special trip to check it out. I can't wait to try the other ramen specialties, the street corn, and the mini burgers. Don't pass this one up. There's a lot of love pouring out of this kitchen.

Kings Lake Grille & The Ramen Project is a small and simple yet cozy restaurant that truly delivers on quality. The service was impeccable, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. We tried the curry ramen and the spicy beef ramen, both of which were rich in flavor and perfectly balanced. The nachos with crab and cheese were a surprising and delicious appetizer, adding a unique twist to our meal. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food, making it a great value for money. We will definitely be coming back, or maybe ordering takeout next time! Highly recommended for ramen lovers looking for a cozy spot with Great food and Service.

We tried Kings Lake Grill for Lunch today. This is a great place, clean modern and good service. The menu sounded delish and so it was hard to choose, so we split a few things. First let me say the homemade sweet tea and fresh squeezed lemonade were A+ and free refills just made it that much better. We had the wings (2 sticky sauce and 3 buffalo), these were served with the best homemade ranch I have ever had. My husband is a wing afficiando, and when I asked which he would Get the next time we visited he said both, an order of each. Following this we tried the street corn (seasoned deliciously) and then split the American classic burgers and fries. Burgers were among if not the best we have had in the area and the French fries were simply outstanding (I am not a FF gal). They were homemade from fresh potatoes with skin on and cooked and seasoned to perfection. Too many for both of us to eat. We can’t wait to go back and try some other items, the ramen, salads and weekend specials. This was worth every penny and it was very fairly priced.

unsure how this restaurant classifies their cuisine - but it's all delicious! it's almost like a japanese fusion menu. the street corn is not to miss. the chicken ramen & mini chicken burgers were just right. even the fresh lemonade hit the spot! the service was impeccable. we will be back! The food was very very good. The Spicy Birs ramen was very good, the chicken was crispy, the broth had a depth of flavor and it was definitely spicy. The spicy chicken sandwiches were also very good, nice crunch. The hand cut fries were to die for! With house made ranch 😍. We will definitely be back!

I have been wanting to stop in for a while and man am I so glad I did. I had the Japanese Katsu (not sure I spelled that right) chicken sandwiches and they were 🔥 Super fresh made to order food and a heck of a flavor bomb. Went there tonight with my husband for the first time. As new Floridians we have been having a hard time finding great food comparable to our former Long Island, NY hometown. But this place was amazing. Crab rangoon nachos appetizer. Beyond delicious. Had their creamy French onion and also truffle mushroom mini burgers but ate them before taking a picture. Both were incredible. Roasted red pepper tomato soup-got another portion to take home!!! And lastly dessert. Cinnamon Apple gyoza!!!! Never thought that would be possible as a dessert but so incredible it should be outlawed!!! What a wonderful family run restaurant. Shout out to Jess. She made us feel so welcome!!! Can't wait to come back!!!!

Last minute decision to look up a new to us place, traveling and exhausted. Food was amazing. We had a hard time deciding what to order because we wanted to try out few things. My son ordered two kids meals and loved both! My salad (photo posted) was the best! I was just talking about how I haven't had a salad that tasted fresh (crunchy veggies) in a long time. Service was great, to get a kid to talk about how good the service was and how the "guy bringing our food" was so nice is proof enough! We will definitely go back when we are in the area.

I’ve gone twice now and the food has been delicious. My first visit I had the shoyu ramen and a side of katsu chicken. This time I had the truffle Gouda mushroom mini burgers with fries. Yummy! It is a creative mix of American and Japanese dishes on the menu.

My family came here for dinner and everything was delicious! I loved my spicy ramen. The broth was super flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly.

You can tell the chef puts his/her love into their dishes. Service and atmosphere were all superb! Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

Food was delicious but different. The chicken was amazing! My favorite part was their homemade ranch! That is a must try if you like ranch!!!

Food is good, we have been a few times, ramen is really flavorful. BUT my recent visit wasn’t very good. Had some small hairs in my Crab Rangoon Nachos, they replaced it and removed it from our bill. But then it almost seemed as is they purposely left egg shells in the bowl of ramen that followed. Lost my appetite after that and just paid the bill and left. Doubt we will return.

First and foremost, the food here is delicious! We want to support locally owned businesses, so we order takeout. Diner be ware, however, they are WAY off on their online pickup order times. Three times we’ve ordered and it will say 30 minutes (or whatever time they say) and when we arrive, food has not even been prepared. Second time we ordered I called at the pickup time, and confirmed they had the food. They did. Went to pickup: had to to wait 20 minutes for them to make it. I thought third time would be a charm, waited to leave until pick up time, then stopped over to Publix to shop…and still wasn’t ready when I arrived. Pick up was 30 minutes, and waited an hour and 10 minutes total. Bottom line- good food, don’t do pick up, they do not respect your time that way.

I had heard rave reviews so we stopped in to grab lunch. The service was friendly and the wait time was reasonable. We were the only people there. Its nicely decorated but has kind of a stale smell.... enough to where I wouldn't be able to sit the whole time and eat. Food left a lot to be desired. Really lacking any kind of seasoning. I got tenders and the meat was great quality, just really bland. Burger was okay, and fries were just fries - kinda salty. Nothing I'd go out of my way to get unfortunately.

Let me start by saying I have been loving this place since they opened but tonight fell beyond disappointment. Me and the husband ordered a chicken po boy meal, a French dip meal and wings. I placed the order online which gave me a 30 minute pick up time. I was driving home and was 5 minutes up the road so I didn't mind the 25 minute wait. The original 30 minute time turned into 50+ minute wait. When we went to eat our food was it ever a huge disappointment. The chicken po boy was not seasoned at all like none, same for my French dip absolutely flavorless and overcooked. The fries were a huge disappointment way over seasoned with seasoning salt and not the homemade fries they used to have now its just regular processed fries. The onion rings were fried together like literally stuck together. The wings were not seasoned either and the sauce barely saved them. Not to mention one of the wings were so badly broken that it was riddled with bone and had to just be thrown away like the majority of our food. This makes my 3rd visit over the past 5 months that has been disappointing. Unfortunately we won't be back and im sad to say I called this place one of the best around at one point.

We came here based on the great reviews that raved about the Japanese-American fusion menu and were especially excited to try the ramen. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that ramen—and most of the Japanese items—have been removed from the menu. Still wanting to give the place a fair try, we ordered the chicken fingers basket with fries and the buffalo chicken sandwich. While the service was friendly, it took nearly 45 minutes to get our food, even though we were the first to arrive around 5:30 and were the only customers for the first 20 minutes. When the food finally arrived, my husband received the wrong order. What we did get was very underwhelming—bland, overly greasy, and just not worth the wait. Most of my fries were left uneaten. The interior looks new and updated, but without the Japanese menu, the decor feels out of place and inconsistent with the current direction of the restaurant. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and not what we had hoped for based on previous reviews.

Used to like this place until the recent changes after the Ramen Chef left. Other items were good on the menu so stopped back in today. Staff kept going in the back entire time to the point they didn’t realize customers came in, waited then left. Food was cooked really well but then was so salty it made it hard to eat - both cheesesteak and French dip. Fry seasoning was also interesting. Staff was all completely different so wonder if recently sold. When staff did interact they were nice but quick like just not interested in the customer part of the business. Again used to like the place and maybe had bad day but lack of staff in dining room and food taste today left us removing them from our dining options list unfortunately.
