Strandhill Public (Brandon)

Strandhill Public is a cool little spot right in the heart of Brandon, just a few skips from the highway. It’s become my go-to place to unwind after work instead of sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. It’s also a solid lunch spot, though fair warning, the margaritas are dangerously good so maybe don’t overdo it if you’ve got to head back to the office. The vibe here is modern and fresh no matter what time of day you stop in. Whether you’re sitting inside, out on the patio, or posted up at the bar, the service is always on point. The staff is friendly, attentive, and keeps things moving without ever making you feel rushed. Food-wise, I always come back to the sliders and the Cobb salad. Both are consistently great and hit the spot whether I’m in the mood for something hearty or a little lighter. Strandhill Public is one of those places that’s easy to love and even easier to make part of your regular routine.

My daughters wanted to have an intimate gathering for their 18th birthday with their friends over dinner, but finding a location that checked all the boxes was tricky. I have attended networking events on the patio at Strandhill in the past and thought that the space would work for what they had in mind. We came by the weekend before and met with Sharon who made the planning a breeze. She asked a couple questions and set everything in motion. They allowed us to bring in balloons and birthday cake and set up the table for the occasion on a Saturday evening. Shout out to their server/host, Eli, for taking great care of them. The teens had a great time on their own while mom, dad, and grandparents got to enjoy dinner, drinks, and live music inside. My daughters were so happy with their 18th birthday celebration and their sweet friends had so much fun!

Strandhill Public is one of my wife and I's favorite stops. Don't think you are just walking into another Irish joint, this far will exceed those expectations. I wanted to start off by giving props to CHRIS our bartender, amazing personality, great cocktails, and always makes the experience worth it. Amazing food! True Traditional Irish/Hybrid dishes, amazing shepard's pie and everything is so fresh. Cocktails are on point with a awesome Whiskey/Bourbon collection. Just stop here, you'll thank me.

We stopped with the intention for a quick bite here, after a friend of ours suggested this place. So glad we came at the time. The food tasted delicious, the drinks were tasty, and the apple pie dessert was amazing. My husband loved the corn beef and stuffed cabbage. The drink we ordered was an Apple Old Fashioned, and the Pumpchata. The smell of the drinks alone was heavenly. The music selection is also awesome. Definitely thinking about going here again.

Went for book club. Its Christmas time the atmosphere of this place is wonderful. Its so awesome seeing the place all decked out. I got the shepards Pie which was wonderful. All the food looked great. Our service was great as well.

Honest foodie

Was close to my hotel and saw they had a Rueben and I was sold. We sat outside as it was cool enough to enjoy the patio. This is definitely a place that I would visit I I lived around the area. My Rueben was on point and I opted for the waffle fries that were cooked to perfection. We had chicken strips, couple different style burgers all were good. We also had the mozzarella sticks and those were not so good in my opinion as they just tasted different maybe a different cheese blend. Rachel provided excellent service as the food came out quick and was hot. The did have a guy playing the guitar in the inside for some live music. I wasn’t in the drinking mood but they have a great selection of booze. There is corn hole out front if you have to wait and some giant games on the patio.

I came in for a late lunch, and man, did I get a wonderful surprise. This place has a diverse menu without losing its traditional Irish pub feel and tastes. I had the shepherds pie, which was cooked to perfection. With a perfectly poured Guinness. The staff was friendly and really new the menu. I will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes.

Foods are delicious. We went in before busy dinner so the restaurant was not that crowded that what we really like. The service is good. We really enjoy it.

Two words: Elevated Irish. We came to try it out, in celebration, my wife, baby daughter, and I. We sat outside, the weather was quite nice, and so was the service. We got a couple of beers, Purple Haze, and ordered some food. We started off with the Irish Nachos, they were actually very good. My wife had the Smoked Ricotta & Tomato salad with a pan seared salmon, and let me tell you, that was delicious! I myself had the Corned Beef sandwich with buffalo cauliflower, very tasty, very filling! Overall the experience was quite enjoyable. We sure need to return to try out some of the other items on the menu, I have my eye on the Drunken Mussels! Overall spend, around $65, not bad at all! Update: service is still great, even on a Tuesday night.

Their famous drunken mussels, perfectly tender and dripping in bold, succulent flavor, danced alongside shrimp in a spicy, creamy sauce that had me wondering if angels moonlight as chefs. Let’s not forget the pasta itself—cooked to perfection, it carried the sauce like it was born to do so. And that sauce? A rich, velvety blend of spice and cream that boldly declared itself the king of all sauces. It clung lovingly to every bite, begging not to be left behind. Enter the side toast: crisp, flavorful, and a work of art in its own right. It was so perfectly executed I used it to clean the plate with the enthusiasm of someone guarding their last bite of dessert. Who needs a dishwasher when you have toast this good? And then, there was Chris, the server who turned the evening from great to extraordinary. Friendly, attentive, and clearly a mind reader, Chris ensured that every moment of the meal was flawless. He’s not just a server; he’s the ambassador of Strandhill’s brilliance. If you haven’t been to Strandhill Public Irish Pub, you’re depriving yourself of something truly special. This is that stick to your ribs, make you feel good, and flash back to the old days kind of food. It was hot and hearty! The flavors were really working and the beef was super tender. Personally I would prefer more onions and smaller chunks of carrots and potatoes so that both of them can really soak in the goodness of this dish. The menu looks great and I have a great feeling about one of their burgers so I probably will bring you another review of this spot before the year is out. Come and check this spot out!

Best corned beef and cabbage i have found at a restaurant. I have no idea what the sauce they put on top but its amazing. This place is a diamond in the rough. The staff is always friendly, the food comes out quick and its never super busy or super loud. Definitely a nice place for a first date or even a business dinner.

The food was great although the first set of mozzarella sticks that came out had no cheese but they did immediately bring another batch. Would definitely go back. Very friendly group of people.

Sports tvs and bartenders that are professional. Great selection. The food is Above Average for a bar. There is even outside seating. You can bring a family and sit down for a meal if desired. Don’t pass this one up.

I was excited to try this place but despite my best efforts was not able to order food. I called to order carry out and the phone rang forever and no one answered. I tried again several times over the next hour, no one answered. I called the other location and they answered but said they couldn’t help me. Apparently no managers on duty at either location. I then drove up to the restaurant in hopes of placing a carry out order there. I stood at the hostess station for 10 min and no one greeted me. The restaurant was mostly empty except the bar area at 7pm. Finally we gave up and ordered sushi from next door and it was great. Sad I couldn’t get food from this place but I won’t waste an hour of my time on that again.
