I am a remote worker, and I usually go to different cafeterias around to get some work done. It is not easy to find clean and reliable places to spend a few hours there while drinking a coffee or snacking something. This place is super clean and large with steaming thought for remote workers (plugs in each seating side). I would recommend this place for any remote workers looking to get some job done while drinking a coffee ☕️ or eating something snacks (they also sell food so if you stay longer hours I would recommend trying them). The staff was friendly and not pushy or judgmental of someone working there. I appreciate it very much. Prices were reasonable and in accordance to the place and environment. Thank you Mecato’s staff in Apopka; it was a great experience.

All I can say is if you're near this place, give it a try. You won't regret it.

This place is amazing!!! We arrived at like 9 and while people were filling in we took our time to be indecisive. We ended up getting 2 carne asada stuffed arepas, 6 empanadas, a Colombian hot chocolate, a cortadito, and Postobón. Everything was piping hot and extremely fresh !!! It was all so filling the 3 of us we're barely able to finish!! This place was very pretty on the inside and the workers were very kind. Now that it's open and so close to my house I know I'll be here often! Already back and got pretty much the same items but also got a colombiana and Lulo/Naranjilla smoothie. We've never tried it before but it's an interesting flavor a mix of orange and pineapple. And we utilized their app and our food was ready right when we stepped to the register.

I stopped by this bakery to get something for my grandparents and a little something for myself. This location is great; the pastries were delicious, and the service was excellent. Katherine, in particular, was very helpful with my selections, very nice, and patient with me. I take my sweet time when ordering. Thank you, Katherine, for being so great.

If you're riding in the Apopka area, this is a great place to stop for some sweets! The place is beautiful, the ham and cheese bread was delicious, and the coffee was excellent. A great find!

Mecatos is amazing. Love everything about it. Fantastic food, amazing drinks and, without fail, excellent service (this Apopka location is especially good). It's great to have something a bit different but so delicious available. Huge fan.

It's on an odd place. But the food is unbelievably great. It's best to take a friend there so you can share the lunch or breakfast. Because you'll be wanting to eat something off their plate.

From the staff to the managers they are all truly wonderful people with attention detail and top notch customer service. I will make this a place I visit multiple times times a week thanks to the great service food and wonderful music that plays as a soft background noise

The hot food was excellent! Coffee and smoothies are delicious as well. We got some empanadas, arepas, and the hot dog. Coffee and some deserts as well - and everything was delicious!

I was invited to this location by a friend! The mix & match was delicious! Pan de bono con dulce de leche was/is the perfect consistency of not too cheesy or overwhelming sweet! 🤤 In the words of Dora the explorer it was deliciouso! 😋

Mecato's Bakery has quality food and great service! We've been coming in since they opened and they have some great stuff. My favorites are the Colombian Burger and the Egg/Bacon/Cheese Arepa. They have an app too, which makes ordering and picking up easy. Would reccomend!

I tried the cheese empanada and it was so freaking good - crunchy on the outside, melted cheese on the inside, just a tad bit of sweetness and savory deliciousness. Tres leches - of course and something new I tried - dulce de leche panacota! They serve a ton of beverages too! Clean, welcoming and well organized! I would absolutely recommend it for a snack, quick bite and just because!

The reason why I’m writing this review today is because today I was ordering A bread platter and it was going to take like 10 minutes. I sat down in the convenient, small waiting area with couches and the lady who helped me at first Viviana, knew I was waiting and came to me and offered me a coffee while I was waiting. She asked me exactly how I liked it and she did not disappoint. This is the level of customer service that every restaurant should strive for. Provide quality caring individuals like Viviana. I personally thank Viviana for making my day so much better.

We tried the hot and cold drinks, the combo deals, pastries from the Case and items from their hot food case. Everything was great, sandwiches from the combos are massive.

Mecato’s is a food gem! We wrapped a 2 hr kayak trip and needed breakfast; we heard good things and tried Mecato’s. Don’t be intimidated with the Colombian Spanish mix; it means the food is excellent. And it is!! My beef arepa with avo (type of sandwich) was tasty and light. Not greasy or heavy. Hubby liked his chicken arepa. The cortadito coffee was a treat, and went nicely with my mousse dessert splurge. Highly recommend for a great experience!!

So happy we got a location next to our home. Mercado‘s is our go to shop for empanadas and coffee. If you have never tried a Hawaiian empanada this is the place to go. You can thank me later. Thank you for Noreyma friendly recommend. Good service nice and clean.

Amazing food, I just moved here from Texas a few months ago and work in Apopka. I was just goggling restaurants to look for somewhere for lunch. And after today I will be back regularly. The food is amazing, and a great value. I'm a big guy and for$17i for a meal that filled me up. This is a place I will be bringing my fiance back to for a sit down dinner. I ordered online and it was hot fresh and ready when I arrived. This is by far the best food I've had since being in Florida.

Wonderful service by Viviana at the Apopka location. She was patient with us for our first time visiting and explain the different options- for desserts. Delicious food choices - we had an assortment from tequenos to arepas to pudin & flan. The Nati dessert was light and not too sweet.

I do love how close and convenient this location is to my house! The only thing that was frustrating was no forks I only saw spoons and napkins so had to ask the girls at the counter and the table was dirty but other than that everything else was fine! We got the arepas, empanadas, tres leches and lattes and everything was delicious! The parking lot had a lot of parking spaces which was good and I like how inside is spacious with lots of seating areas with outlets to charge your devices if you wanted to!

I ended up ordering a bacon egg and cheese on croissant. This sandwich was massive!! Have to say the bacon was meh, but the rest of the sandwich was absolutely delicious! Price was ok for the size! There were tons of holiday special items for sale also. I’d 100% return and hope to try a few more menu items. Def recommend!

When it comes to quick-serve Colombian 🇨🇴 food, I have zero restauants to refer to. But I can definitely say that THIS quick serve Colombian food was great!! I ordered an Arepa Mecatos and a Quesito. The Arepa is: Beef, chicken, ham, lettuce, tomato, cheese, fried egg, pink sauce. The food was very fresh and really tasty. The cafe was clean and well attended to as well. If you’re up for a field trip to the middle of no-where Apopka, you won’t be disappointed at Mecatos Bakery & Cafe! My Stars Reasoning: The service wasn’t bad. It wasn’t great. But I wasn’t upset or annoyed. Just average and that’s good. The food while good, was still fast food. So I wasn’t blown away.

Delicious and great service. However, drive through wait times are insane constantly. It’s a great idea to have a drive through, but highly would advise improving metrics there to serve customers better!

I really like their lattes, but good luck trying to get certain pastries early. They open at 7am and every time I order a ham and cheese bread before 7:30 they’re never available. They should also work on customer service this is the second time I ask for a 16 oz latte and get 12oz in the drive thru; the first time I told them about it and they just changed my cup size to a big one.

Such a beautiful place. However, service is slow, very slow. An order of a few items, including scrambled eggs, took 15 minutes. The eggs were cold when they finally arrived. Waiter spilled our hot chocolate on his way to our table. They had several employees sweeping/mopping the floor and few employees serving and paying attention to waiting customers. Won't be back.

I got to the store minutes before they closed Viviana never announced store was closed or kitchen was closed already. After we decided what to order she mentioned we were not able to order because the store closed at 8pm. She only offered what was already cold and available. Which is understandable, however she could’ve announced that everything was closed. They still had people waiting for the orders inside.

I am extremely disappointed with this establishment. The empanadas were likely stale and of poor quality, while the microwaved bacon was extremely unpleasant and greasy. The avocado toast was also subpar. The staff was also rude, which further diminished my experience. Overall, I am highly unsatisfied with my visit.
