This is my favorite Popeye's. I have had issues with other locations, but the people here were nice, in their own way 😁 The food was fresh. There was a little bit of a wait, but this was during lunchtime and they were busy, so the wait was understandable. The inside seating area was clean. I come here every now and then and have had no issues whatsoever. And I'm also glad that there are absolutely no kiosks in this location! When I order, I want to talk to a human, not a screen. So please say no to kiosks! A+

Probably had the best Popeyes I've ever had at this location in Apopka . The biscuits were like it remembered from years ago. They were salty ,buttery and just plain great. The Spicy chicken was amazing very juicy and tender with a kick !! There had to be something different on how this location is run because this one is many levels above the one we had in Oviedo. Great job team!! The food was great and now I live in Lake County I'm switching to this location from here on out!

Probably had the best Popeyes I've ever had at this location in Apopka . The biscuits were like it remembered from years ago. They were salty ,buttery and just plain great. Went to this location for lunch after attending business nearby. Parking lot could use some work, but not exactly a reason to stay away. Inside the location was clean and in good shape. Ordered and received food within a couple of minutes. Food is exactly as I remembered. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars, was because they still had advertisements up for discontinued product and didn't even realize it. From my own quick research on the topic, it might have been a timing issue (deal just ended) or just a specific restaurant decision. Either way, they should be aware of this stuff.

Walked in, the worker at the front register was also working the drive thru (she had glasses w/ a brown/black natural Afro) she had finished with the previous guest at the counter but was scrolling thru her phone asking if they were still dating or in a relationship with someone then showed a photo of the person after locating it. They went on with the conversation for a few minutes & I waited. Once she decided they were done, I was then greeted and told one moment as she walked off back to drive thru. So I just stood there for another 10 to 12 minutes as the other workers on the line as well as the 1st employee kept looking at me as if I was not there. Finally, an employee came off the back line due to the 1st employee who kept refusing looking at me as they held the register, NEVER, coming back to assist me to ask if I would like to order. So after standing there for 25 plus minutes I was FINALLY able to place my order which was fixed, hot & fresh in less than 5 minutes. Worse service EVER, but the employee had time to scroll on social media & ignore paying guest. ( this was between 8 - 8:30 pm EST I was the only lobby guest & the drive thru was NOT busy)

Went at 4 pm on Wednesday 10/15. Lady was helpful and greeted me quickly despite there being a lot of cars in the drive thru. Waited a reasonable amount of time but she was attentive and nice. edit: 12/1/25 went at 12:45pm as it says on the receipt, got my food at 1:24pm. i dont know why this keeps happening to me. i don't know whether to blame the dude or not, but i had a mobile order. i walked up to the counter, the guy asked me who i was, i gave him my name and the order number clearly. i told him to take his time, might've been my fault then. there was an order sitting behind the counter but due to him looking at a receipt after i told him, i assumed he was still prepping. 20 minutes pass. a guy walks in and ends up talking to him for 15 minutes straight about disney bronchitis and various other things. it was a great conversation. he got his order, and eventually left. maybe 30 minutes in now. then the guy asks me what was my name again? i told him again. he turns around, grabs the order that has been sitting there for 30 minutes, and hands it to me. why?????

We went around 330 pm. Chicken skin was old tasting. Don't get me wrong we ate it but had to peel the skin off. Order was complete and gentleman at the drive thru took the order and we received everything.

Ok this is ridiculous. This is the SLOWEST place in Apopka to get food. The ONLY reason anyone still comes here is the chicken is good. The wait times are excruciating. Five or six cars pulled out of the drive thru and went elsewhere. Who is managing this place? Currently five employees behind the counter but only two are actually doing anything. 15 minute wait for chicken but that's literally all you sell besides the sides so why no matter what time of day it is are you always out of chicken??? I'm done after this. Lots of food trucks and new opening restaurants in Apopka to choose from now. This is disrespectful.

On Wednesday, July 16th 2025. I went to this restaurant with my daughter to get some lunch on the way to Orlando. I did my order on the app.. When i pull up to the drive-thru lane, at proximately 12:10 PM, in the middle of the lunch rush hour, they told us they was a hold on chicken and it would be a 10 minute wait. Seriously? okay. Fine, so we waited. No, it wasn't 10 minutes, it was 20 minutes. Then the lady inside had an attitude which is not something that should happen, when I asked her about the status of our order because everybody else seemed to be getting there orders. This is the second time we've been to a popeye's, one here in here and one in Leesburg, Florida, where there seems to be issues with customer service and the quality of the service. Honestly I Don't know if I ever go back and maybe you shouldn't either.

I have always gone to the Apopka Popeyes great service and good food. I went on Saturday October 25,2025 and I will NEVER GO BACK. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a large Mac and cheese and an apple pie. The only thing edible was the apple pie. The Mac and cheese was like cheese soup with hardly no macaroni 🤦🏻‍♀️ the chicken sandwich was cold. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

Went to Drive thru and was sitting there for 30 minutes. Was asked twice if I was a rewards member but did not ask for my order? Was told twice to give him a minute. I got tired of waiting and drove off. The car that was before me earlier and two cars behind me also drove off. Poor service! Avoid going there. Im thinking you don't care about the service how can you care about the food.

This Popeyes is consistently out of food, which makes no sense during regular business hours. Staff openly eats food while taking and preparing orders, which is extremely unprofessional and honestly disgusting. I’ve given this location multiple chances and it’s always the same experience. Definitely needs better management and basic food safety standards.

I sat at the drive thru for about 7 mins without being acknowledged. I repeatedly said hello and then drove to the window for assistance. I blew my horn while trying to get the young ladies attention. I'm certain that she saw me & heard me while in the drive thru. I decided to leave but I also called the store. I spoke with the manager Keisha, she said she was in the ladies room at the time. She apologized & said she would speak to the young lady. I constantly have issues at this location and it's very frustrating!! Do better!!

I went to the drive-thru and ordered my food, it took almost an hour to get my order. The manager had me pull to the side cause it would be 10 minutes. It seems like I was out of site and out of mind. If I didn't go inside, I'm sure it would have been longer than the hour. I don't expect top notch service but I'd settle for decent. I don't even want to describe what was going on once I went inside. This is the reason I rarely eat fast food.

Worst Popeyes hands down. The workers are rude. The last 3xs coming here it's been a 30 minute wait with cars in line. No sorry about that or any type of hospitality at all. Everyone's faces is stuck on stank and the manger don't care at all.

I dont think I've ever had a good experience at this location. That's why i don't normally get food from this location but my mother wanted Popeyes. I pull to the drive thru with no other cars on sight and it takes 3-4 mins for the man to ask for our order. My mother had a coupon abs he demands to know the coupon "code" , I didn't know what he was asking me for and he was very hard to understand so I pulled up to the window thinking it would make this transaction easier. Boy, was i wrong! I hand the man my coupon and he takes it from me and is pointing at some small print # code in the fine print of the coupon, saying "this this is the number", ok great, I've handed you the coupon I asked for DARK MEAT ONLY. I then asked if I could use more than one coupon, and he visibly sighs and says, " yes what?" So I ordered a second DARK MEAT ONLY, 3 piece combo. He was very hard to understand and he seemed annoyed that he had to take my order. We pay, and he asks me to pull up!? There is no place to "pull up", and there were no other cars behind me. He brings the food out and my mother checks the food and there is a wing(white meat) in the 3 piece box, so I park and walk in to get a dark meat piece, and he takes the wing out of the box with tongs like he's going to put it back on the tray to serve to someone else?! I work in a restaurant, you cannot RE-SERVE a food item that has left the building!!! Hopefully he just put it in the trash, as i didn't stay to watch what he did after giving me a thigh meat piece. Once home and unpacking the food, my mom's 2 piece combo was WHITE MEAT!!! No one at any point in ordering said anything about WHITE MEAT! He rang it in wrong. I will be going back up to this establishment tomorrow for a full refund and will not try this place again! Food wasn't even that great. Chicken was ok, biscuit was too dry and hard to eat. Won't be back!

I would give this location zero stars if I could. This was hands down the worst fast-food experience I’ve ever had. It started at the drive-thru, where the manager told me it wasn't working. I went inside, hoping for better service, but found a complete lack of urgency and zero respect for customers. While I was sitting down waiting for someone to finally take my order, a staff member (a lady that can barely walk and look like she was ready to fight over a chair) approached me—not to help me, but to ignorantly demand that I "put the chair back." When I explained that I was sitting because of the long wait and asked if she was ready to take my order, she simply walked away and ignored me. The issues at this location are systemic: * No Customer Service: Staff is confrontational rather than helpful. * Zero Urgency: The team seems indifferent to the fact that people are waiting. * Management Failure: Between the broken drive-thru and the rude floor staff, it’s clear this location is not being run properly. I ended up leaving without even ordering. If you want to be treated with basic decency, go somewhere else. I will never be returning to this Apopka location.

This staff is incompetent. I was here to pick up my second order for Uber Eats delivery and I will avoid this location if I can. I saw multiple other guests come in saying they’ve been waiting for over 30 min in the drive through. I waited for 30 min the first time i was there too. No one will greet me… say hello.. say “ welcome to Popeyes. What’s the name for your order?” This includes the manager. Theyve walked by me 3 times so far and still not a word. It’s not hard to say… “hey we’re waiting on one more thing for your your order” or “have you been helped?” Customer service training is desperately needed for this store.

This location needs a manager with better leadership skills and get rid of any of the employees with bad behavior.

One star because I have to rate something to post a review. By no means is this acceptable or healthy! The health department needs to do an on-site review like now! Popeyes you are selling non deveined shrimp to the public. I will post this on every food site I can find until something is done!

The chicken tenders were like breaded and fried 'shoe strings'! They obviously sat under a warming light for 2 hours. I ordered at the drive-thru, so I didn't realize how bad the chicken was until I had driven home. Maybe the food is fresh at normal meal time but don't let it sit there warming for hours! Just awful!!! Did I mention the big potholes in the drive-thru?!!

This Popeyes in Apopka is without question the most revolting, unprofessional, and downright embarrassing excuse for a restaurant I have ever stepped foot in. The place is filthy. The service is chaotic. And the so-called “manager” Ryan, if that is even his real name, is an absolute disgrace to the Popeyes brand and to the concept of customer service as a whole. From the moment I arrived, Ryan carried himself with the maturity of a spoiled child, the professionalism of a back-alley scam artist, and the charm of a traffic ticket. He was rude, hostile, and dripping with an attitude that made it clear he either despises his job or despises the people who walk through the door, possibly both. His language was foul, his tone was aggressive, and his entire demeanor screamed “I don’t care” in a way that should make corporate leadership’s blood boil. All I wanted was to pick up food for my family after a long exhausting day of work. Instead, I was met with the most appalling display of arrogance and disrespect I have ever seen from someone representing a national brand. According to multiple employees, this man is the manager. If this is the person entrusted to lead the team, it explains everything — the chaos, the filth, the lack of basic customer service, and the sheer contempt for paying customers. Ryan should be removed from any position of authority immediately. In fact, he should be removed from this establishment altogether before he drives away every customer in Apopka. The Popeyes name deserves better than this disaster of a location, and the customers who keep this business alive deserve far more than being verbally attacked by an unhinged, unprofessional employee who clearly has no business working in hospitality. Popeyes corporate, if you have any shred of pride in your brand, fix this because as it stands, this location is a stain on your company’s reputation and Ryan is the biggest reason why
