The food is great and I love the theme of the restaurant.

We loved our food about 2 years ago I had visit the restaurant for the first time and honestly I was ver disappointed, but today we have it another opportunity an me we lived the food, this time was actually cooked and warm, we both love it, my daughter was delighted with the flavor of the meat 🍖, and I was with my meal thank you, love the family friendly environment, we will come back soon, I was able to see that breakfast is offered now, I might come back soon with some friends 🧡, thank you.

The Texas toast was a little bit stale, but the ribeye steak, mac and cheese, and onion rings were all delicious.

We went with friends who were never there either. The service was very good and the food was terrific! I had the Roy Rodgers 16oz ribeye. It was cooked exactly as I ordered. The others had to get a box because they couldn't eat everything. Being Saturday night, they had a one-man band playing a guitar and singing ballads. It was a little pricey but they gave you a lot of food. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault!

Had dinner here last night. I ordered a steak salad and ordered the steak well. It definitely wasn’t. I’m gonna shout out to the manager Amy she was on it she took care of the issue and then talked with us made us feel welcome. Our server was kelsi she was spot on. These 2 will keep us coming back

Kyla is by far my favorite server I’ve ever had. She was so polite, sweet, genuinely caring, and one of the nicest servers I’ve ever had. She had our party of 30 elderly people and kept a smile on her face the entire time. 10/10 would always recommend her. I didn’t catch the managers name but she was amazing too

Been coming here awhile, Always a friendly staff and the food is always good. Great environment, plenty of tvs to watch your sporting events, games for the kids etc... Definitely recommend stopping by to have a drink, or bring the family in for Lunch or Dinner.

First time trying out this spot. The food was on point, all of our streaks were cooked to perfection. I had the Roy Rogers Rib Eye cooked rare, it was delicious. We also got the chicken wings with the hot hot Buffalo sauce. They were plump and juicy, and the sauce was spicy but not overly spicy. Next time I'm there, I want to try the chicken and waffles. Late post!! We came last Saturday. They were packed. They had a 20 minute wait, but it was worth every minute. The staff was amazing. The server super friendly and helpful and there was 8 of us. The manager or owner I'm not sure what she was, came and said hi and checked on us. She was checking on everyone. At some point I even seen her taking out food lol. For sure a surprise in our trip. We were searching for a typical American diner, and after searching on the car GPS we found this restaurant... the name was catchy. We arrived at a cowboy themed restaurant. The food was of exceptional good taste and well served (quantity). The service was also good, the attendants were very nice and communicative. Overall it was a awesome experience. In the price range of almost all the equivalent restaurants so it wasn't expensive nor cheap. 5 stars.

Came in with my dad tonight after he had an awful day at work, and we had such a nice dinner, thanks to Brie's hospitality. She lightened our moods and managed to give us amazing service during the dinner rush AND sunday night football. My dad said she made the best bloody mary he's had in a very long time!

Very lively place when we ate there. The staff here are great. Very attentive to your needs and personable. Food was great with large portions. They are willing to accommodate special orders like no sauce on the ribs which were meaty and tender. There was a live band and DJ also on Saturday when we visited. I will definitely come here again.

I was taken here for my first time on my birthday. The wait wasn't long at all. The steak was cooked to my preference, perfectly rare. The shrimp was also good, huge, and flavorful. The staff brought me out a surprise bday waffle topped with ice cream, whip cream, fudge and sprinkles. It was a very delightful surprise. I would definitely come back again.

Been coming here a long time. The food kicks ass. The staff is excellent. If I need something specific they are so accommodating. For instance I love to just chill on their patio and listen to the jukebox. They happily adjust the volume to the perfect level for me. Best steaks and salads in the HD!

The steaks here are to die for! They're always cooked to perfection and the steamed veggies taste like they've been freshly picked from the garden today. The high quality food, good service and most importantly the heavy handed bartender all lend to the reason this is one of my favorites spots in the High Desert.

And let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. Everything was good from the service to the food. It was my wife's 1st time, and she loved it too. I love the decor inside, its very family orientated, lots of space, and they had plenty of severs making sure each table had what they needed. We had a reservation at 5:30pm it was pretty much a full house. I had the Rusty Bull Steak, and my wife ordered the California roast beef sandwich we also tried the loaded saddles as an appetizer. The pictures dont do these plates any justice you have to go and try the steak for yourselves. Looks like we found our new restaurant. I want to say thanks to Renee the Manager for having us over for dinner and a great job to our super cool, friendly, and polite server Heather. She made us feel like regulars and checked on us every few minutes. Thank you, Rusty Bull. Sanchez Family will see you soon again.

Went in to rusty bull a couple different times, had an amazing bartender and server. Her name was bre , most amazing service I've ever had, always checked one me to make sure I was ok with any and everything never had to look for her . Was very impressed with her and her work ethic. Definitely recommend coming to rusty bull and requesting her as your server .

Extremely friendly and helpful service by our waitress as well as the manager (they work as a team). I eat a vegetarian/pescatarian diet and the manager brought out vegan fried chicken for me to try since they’re testing out new menu options and it was very delicious. I ended up ordering the salmon salad- I thought it was just okay :) Accessibility: this place is accessible for those with mobility disabilities including large restrooms.

Came here on a Thursday night and we had a large party. The servers we able to accommodate us very well and served us quickly. I ordered the ribeye and it was decent. I prefer a juicy steak but this was very lean. None the less, it was a great meal overall with great service. Many appetizers to choose from and all were tasty.

I could not say enough about the food, quality, and the service at the Rusty Bull in Apple Valley. Our waitress Bree was on top of everything from the minute we walked in the door, tell the moment we left. Just about the best service you could ever ask for in a restaurant. The food is absolutely over the top awesome. In a time where prices just continue to skyrocket, and portions and quality dwindled down to nothing at most places, that is not the case at the Rusty Bull. Today I ordered the French dip. Omg, it was probably the best French dip I have ever had in my life. About 2 inches of solid perfectly cooked sliced and tender juicy roast beef as I have ever had in a sandwich. Probably enough to make two or three sandwiches at other restaurants. The hoagie roll tasted like it was just fresh out of the oven 5 minutes ago. It was so large that I took half of it home. And for not much more than the price of a sub sandwich from subway now, which I might add is just completely horrible nowadays. The onion rings we're also awesome, cooked to perfection. Maria had the roast beef Ortega sandwich, and it was just as good. It is no wonder every day that you drive by the Rusty Bull Restaurant, the parking lot is almost always packed. They have done an absolutely outstanding job with this place, and obviously the reputation shows. The atmosphere is just wonderful, a great place for happy hour, parties, after work get-togethers, weddings receptions and anything in between. Super clean and cozy. I am Very happy to see in this day and age where you are getting robbed blind just about everywhere you go, that some places still take pride in quality, service, and satisfaction. We will be back very soon

Wow! Can't say enough about how surprised I was to eat here and the food was delicious 😋 😊 👌. Very Western themed location. First time visiting and it was a good experience. I ordered the Roy Rogers ribeye steak which is a whole pound. It was tender and delicious! The loaded baked potato was also very good. The service was very good too. I'll have to come back to try other things on their menu.

This place was excellent! Imma give a detailed review of our whole experience. Walking inside the building the hostess immediately greeted us and told us it would be just a moment and yeah it was only like a minute wait. Not bad at all!:) We received a table and our server Leilani immediately came to see what we'd like to drink. Like I mean within 30 seconds of us sitting down. That was impressive!😎 We got drinks and she checked on us once and we said just a couple minutes she came back very friendly and polite took our order & throughout the entire time we were there Leilani made sure we received top tier service. Props to Leilani for great customer service skills! She deserves a raise! We were a bit iffy on the prices but oh my gosh when I say the portions make up for that would be an understatement! You receive a lot of food for the price. Yes they are pricey and if they didn't give good portions my review would be a bit different. I really loved the southern feel of this place. It honestly reminded me of a restaurant I went to in Fort Smith Arkansas. The meals we got were Mac n Cheese, loaded Taters and Ribs & Chicken. I am one that really loves Mac n Cheese so of course that's what i ordered and I was impressed I loved the taste and the damn massive portions. 😋 The Loaded Taters were some of the best loaded taters I've had. I was thoroughly impressed. My wife enjoyed her ribs & chicken she ate almost ALL of it and there was a LOT of food. She almost never gets close to finishing even smaller meals so that's a testament to how much she enjoyed it. Overall we enjoyed the experience and will make a visit again sometime in the future.

I took an across country from Ohio and stayed in Victorville. Sarena from Death Valley Harley Davidson had recommended I went here. I got Kelsi as my waitress and she was a jewel. She made me feel local so far from home. If you go as you should, ask for her. I got the ribeye and it was probably the best steak I have ever had. That’s after stopping in Texas at the world famous Big Texan and having a ribeye. The atmosphere was great and it could easily be overlooked off the path in a small town. If you are nearby, it would be worth the detour and making a stop there. Prove me wrong. Thank you Kelsi for a wonderful dinner and experience.

The portions were big and the food was hot. The service was great, the lady that served us was on it. The place is great for families 👪 😊 and they even have live music 🎶 certain days. If you are around the area you really have to go there. It's out in the middle of nowhere but it's really worth it 👌. It has a big 🍸 bar and if you love watching sports this is the place. They have 📺 TVs all over the place. The price for the food was not bad at all for the amount of food you get.

On a Saturday evening, food was so so, ordered their 24 oz steak that was more like a 16 oz . The band was so noisy, no one clapped, Service was good When we walked in to put our name on a waiting list, the location was half empty? Told it was a 30 minute wait. The place has a nice mood to it and the service is great. The food is average. I had a philly egg roll for appetizer which was nice, a cowboy burger sandwich with added bacon which was normal in taste and a funnel cake fries was below expectations, the portions, though, are huge.

Potato skin appetizer was good. Some were uneven and super thick so the smaller ones burned. Six gun chili cheese burger was ON POINT! The chili is homemade and it was phenomenal. I wish I had gotten the chili cheese fry appetizer. Rib eye steak was cooked to perfection. Hot cheese mac & cheese was a pleasant surprise. The pasta was overcooked but it had a solid flavor. The hot cheetos complimented the dish very well. Baked beans were also overcooked but it had a good flavor that balanced the well seared steak. Service was amazing! Everyone was very nice and attentive. The place was packed with a holiday party and it didn't affect the wonderful service. Great job!

Great food, decent service and generous portions. Although I had a great experience I do not agree with this business adding a gratuity to a customers bill. Not a good look. I think most customers are genuine enough to leave a generous tip out of the kindness of their hearts but it is not up to you the business to decide that.

Nice selection of steaks from Harris Ranch. I had the ribeye with onion rings, sweet potato fries and a side of sautéed onions. Large draft beer selection. Waitresses are all very nice, but could use more training on speed and attentiveness.

When you walk in it feels like a rustic, western-style restaurant. Comfortable and plenty of sitting options. Burgers are a good size and taste great! Belly the Kid burger has pork belly that melts in your mouth. Boneless wings were good but the mango habanero is not spicy at all, it's on the sweeter side.

The food was pretty good. It was a very busy Saturday night. We waited 30 minutes just to order drinks and appetizers, another 10 minutes to order food, and then it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Just be prepared to wait a while for food and drinks. Food was good but not top notch.

I am from Texas, so I was very disappointed in the barbeque platter option that we chose. The fried mushrooms were delicious. The waitresses seemed to pay more attention to their regular customers than to our large group there celebrating a birthday. I have tasted their hot wings on a Togo order before. Next time, I will order the wings & fried mushrooms. I noticed that they have a stage for a live band. I heard that is a big hit there as well.

Food was pretty good ..service was extremely slow only four tables and had to wait 20 mins before we could get a wait staff to get our drink orders in got my salad and appetizers at the same time as my food. Wait staff acted like we were a bother . A guy from bar ended up taking our order. He was nice and tryed to help but our regular waitress was not attentive at all. Id say its really nothing to write home about,Unfortunately but id try again if staff was professional property trained. Only cause food wasnt bad. I do love the layout and atmosphere of building. Cute decore.

Once again, the service is less than desirable. Took over 30 minutes to get food. The food was warm but not hot. It was okay. Our server took a while to check up on us. Other tables that arrived after me got food faster. It was lunchtime and not busy. I'm not sure if the cook missed judged time on the orders, but it could be better.

Rusty Bull is a decent spot to grab a drink and relax. The atmosphere is casual, and the selection of beers is pretty good, though nothing that really stood out as exceptional. Service was friendly enough, but a bit on the slower side during my visit. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re in the area and want a laid-back place to hang out, but it’s not necessarily a must-visit. The food was ok. The ribs were delicious. The fries and bread came out luke warm at best, the vegetables were seasoned well and cooked to perfection.

This was my husband's favorite place to get a steak. We had his birthday party here a few years ago and had a great time. Service has really gone downhill. To be sitting in the middle of the floor and waitresses walking past is to help others that were seated after us is ridiculous. No drink order taken. Walked out. Never again.☹️

Even though we were seated right away, it took 55 minutes to get our starter salad and an hour and 10 minutes to get our food! Apparently, they forgot to submit our order! When we finally got our food, our steaks were cold and the food was just okay. Very disappointing after reading good reviews. We won't be going back.

I have spent a lot of money recommended countless people. I will never go back. After finally being seated at a table that was clear when we arrived. We were ignored for 20 minutes while people that arrived after us orders were taken and drinks were served. The staff could care less when it was brought to their attention..

Absolutely awful!!! You can tell you have to be a regular to even get service..... food was bland and awful Waitress' attitude was horrible... she rolled her eyes when I wasn't ready to order my drink because I wanted to try my fiancees margarita before I made my decision then ignored us for 20 minutes For the price you can go literally anywhere else in the high desert for GOOD food!!!! Would give half a star if possible. Came to the restaurant twice. First time was for a birthday dinner. My food wasn’t delivered to the table, I was told the cooks accidentally tossed it and that they would remake it. Ended up getting it to go because it was 2 hours after we had been here. Also was only offered 1 drink refill. Second time was tonight after deciding I’d give them another chance. once again took 30 minutes for a waiter to take my drink order. Wife’s food came out cold.

Service was terrible, took 30 min to get drinks. Waiter stopped by maybe 2x in the hour and a half that we spent here to check on us. Asked for a medium steak, it came out blue. The best flavor I got was from the crust on the meat, at least it made contact with a decent grill. Mac and cheese was oily, was not served as advertised, 3 slices of Munster cheese was torched on top and served over noodles that looked like scrambled egg. Asked the waiter if it was supposed to come with breadcrumbs, since that’s what the menu says… she said that she’d come back with breadcrumbs then came back to take the plate of Mac and cheese back into the kitchen so they could toast the bread crumbs in it, proceeds to come back out with raw un-toasted breadcrumbs sprinkled on the oily scrambled egg like substance that’s referred to as Mac and cheese. My wife ordered loaded tater tots, they came out regular. The waiter apologized and said she’d have them make us a fresh batch “loaded”, they never came out. Ordered a smoking gun cocktail, the smell was nice, taste was terrible. Tasted like pre mix apple syrup and whiskey. The beer was a beer, at least a beer from tap wasn’t screwed up. I felt sick as soon as I got home, as did my wife. We both had upset stomachs after. At least the French fry’s were crispy.

My husband and I have come today on our third dinner to the Rusty Biull. It will be our last, we came in on a Wednesday night, they were busy but no wait time to be seated. We placed our order within 10 minutes of being seated. A large group of about 10-12 people came in and were seated across from us. They took about 20 minutes to place their order after coming in. They received their food about 30 minutes later. We still hadn’t received ours by that time. An hour after coming in, we got our food. It was completely burnt. My husband’s steak was well past well done and he ordered it medium rare. My Philly cheesesteak was not only burnt but not even chopped as it should’ve been. After seeing this, we sent our food back. Our waitress was very polite and professional about the situation and removed the food from our tab. The manager came over to talk to us and gave us a gift card to try and mend the situation. She added that we could use the gift card on a certain day when she would be there for better service. We feel that the service and food we received was because we are in a biracial relationship. Looking around we were the only people in the entire restaurant (including the staff) that wasn’t caucasian. We plan on giving the gift card to one of our Caucasian friends so they have a better experience than us.

Watch out, they ruin all of their meat with some weird mesquite butter sauce, with no warning. Bleh! Who ruins their meat like that? Also, my girlfriend’s burger patty was absolutely pulverized, no texture, not much flavor. It’s been 10 years since I’ve been here and it’s probably gonna take another 10 to try again.

This is an update. So inflation has hit this place bad.. $110 for 1 mael and some drinks. So sad. It was a nice place to go for some food and drinks. The staff is still great but apparently they pay more for supplies then they did before. (7 months I wrote) Amazing food great servers. Nice deals. This place is the best in the High Desert.

The service was horrible. There was a sign that said wait to be seated even though the resturant was empty. People in front of us were seated right away and we were left there for 10 minutes. When we were seated it took even longer for the waiter to recognize us. Ordered a simple salad and burger and got the burger wrong, to hungry to even complain. The waiter dident even look at us the whole time. We finished our food and had to even get a different waiter who wasn't ours to get us our check. Took 20 minutes for us to finally get our check even thoguh we had finished our food. When we did get our check the waiter threw the check on the table without even looking at us. The waiter was so much better towards other guests it was ridiculous. Was worse as was celebrating my brothers 18th birthday. I dont know if it was because we were young or mexican. I hated the experience and wished I had chosen another resturant. Do not reccomsnd dont waste your money the food isent even that good. The waiter was named Lindsey. I want to thank the owner for reaching out. However, please name the options you are willing to provide to make it to me.

Let me start by apologizing for such a negative review, but last 3 times its been sadly bad. Rib eye steak priced at $37 plus was fatty. My wife ordered the special NY w shrimp and they placed the shrimp on top of steak basically taking the beef flavor out of the steak. Our waitress asked how is everything 10 seconds after a server dropped off our food. We had not taken a bite of our mediocre meal. Bake potato tasted has it had been reheated a couple times. Dried out as heck. Garlic bread tasted as it was day old bread. Onion rings were cold, not even warm. Grandson’s Salmon $28.95 was charred(Burned). For the Prices they charge the quality needs to severely improve. Next steak dinner outing we will drive to Texas Roadhouse or Steer N Stein. Our waitress didn’t even refill our drinks. Im only one customer so im sure they don’t care. We will not be going there again. To the owner, our waitress was tall w tattoos on her arms. Short t medium hair approximately in her late 30s. I suggest you send a secret diner once a month to check quality of service and food. Threw away receipt and dont know waitress name. We sat near window area by bar. I be eery t go back and eat another meal and waste $80 for another mediocre meal. No offense.

We went for my grandmas birthday yesterday evening and when me and my boyfriend sat down we weren’t greeted at all by our server and I had to start calling out where’s our server and someone came running over and said if we were ready for drinks but we had been there atleast 15 minutes we were ready to order. Food comes and she messed up his order he ordered a pastrami burger and he was given a sandwich and my grandpas order was messed up as well. Maybe it was too loud she couldn’t hear us I don’t know what the issue was. My sister in law on the other hand ordered ribs and her food never arrived and when she asked for it to be taken off the bill because she never received it the server really asked is she sure when we were ready to go and everyone has already ate. Also requested a refill for my boyfriend’s drink and never received as well so we just paid and left. For sure will not be returning as maybe the service was different because we weren’t their usual customers to fit their expectations.
