This place felt good just walking through the door. Brandy is a terrific waitress, very friendly and accommodating. We were there on Tuesday (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is "Spaghetti Night") and had a delicious plate or spaghetti and meatballs with salad and garlic bread. Service was quick, the food was hot, the bread was soft and the portions were big. Price was very reasonable, AND (drumroll...) the bathrooms were clean and well stocked! Everything to like and nothing not to like.
Food is excellent!!! Small cozy family owned restaurant where the owner (Imaginary Larry)will greet you at your table and ask you how you are!!! He is a wonderful person who genuinely cares about you and your experience at the restaurant. Staff is great and extremely attentive!!! Pizza is exceptionally good and they are NOT stingy with the toppings!!! I have yet to try something that I have not enjoyed!!! I love pasta sauce, the way my mom makes it. They do not make sauce like my mom but this is the ONLY restaurant where I will eat (And enjoy) the homemade sauce...I do not order marinara anywhere but here. You are simply missing out if you don't at least try the place. You won't be disappointed. My favorite dish is the Tobasco Chicken, either the salad or over pasta. They also have an excellent dessert menu! Mangiare!!!
Really great tasting Italian, good sized portions with option to order full or light. Casual, good vibe, attentive staff, definitely coming back
Always a pleasure to dine here. Food is excellent and service is top notch. Dine here often enough and you’ll be greeted by name by Brandi. My favorites are spaghetti and meatballs and Lasagna. Pizza is the best in the area. They have a very organized take out system too.
Decided to try this place, ordered the spaghetti, and a ravioli. the food was soooo yummy... i got a third date... because of the food (probably)!! I'm definitely coming back here! great food!
We were visiting the area & found this restaurant by chance. I had chicken parm- the small portion, which comes with a huge portion of pasta with several choices of pasta & sauce. Everything was delicious. I had a side salad with blue cheese which was less than $3.00. My husband had clam sauce on pasta & loved it. The service was fast, efficient & friendly. I wish they were in our neighborhood in Phoenix.
Wow. Can't believe this is the first time we came here everything we ordered was good but the best has to be the french bread pizza. Wings were perfectly cooked and the sauce was great my individual pizza was so good everything taste fresh. The Alfredo pasta was a little weird but maybe cause I've never had fresh Alfredo before lol.
I liked the chicken Marsala, the ravioli was good and the Tabasco shrimp salad. Reviewed from a real sicilian
Best Italian food ever! Meat sauce is so good! I'll try the pizza next time.
Wow fantastic! Strongly recommend! My son said he had the best best pizza in this world here ! And I love the cake ! Sooo delicious!
Love this little place. Food is authentically Italian. People are super friendly and really get to know their clients. Every time my bf and i go they always know our drink order.
Good food. I only order for pick up and everytime I pick up I've had a good experience. Looks like a cozy clean place. Smells good. Food is fantastic.
I've been eating from AdP for 4 years now. The most consistent, great tasting Italian place. My wife and I love this place. Thank you for the great food and great service!
Super delicious food. Temporarily staying here from out of town and have visited twice now. Very affordable and offer large and small portions, which I appreciate. The Alfredo sauce was spectacular. So were the meatballs. Pizza was great also. Highly recommend.
We've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Their pizza is the best in town and always loaded with toppings. The chicken parmesan is delicious as well. The staff is always friendly and service is quick.
Quite simply the best, family Italian food around. It's not pretentious or fancy, but it's some of the best marinara I've ever had, and the portions are enormous. Seating is limited, so show up early. You can't go wrong with the og marinara with meatballs, or my favorite is the pasta sampler, that has their delicious lasagna, and choice of two other kinds of pasta. Roll me out of there because now I'm a happy moo 🙂
We had a delicious dinner which included a pizza with two toppings and ordered one with enough slices to bring some home. Tara our server was very helpful and assisted in helping to package the food we took home with us. Thanks, Ray.
Been coming here for years. I'm super excited that they now offer gluten free pizza and pasta. The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. They make you feel like family 💖. I love their truffle desserts too. Yum.
Last night we celebrated our birthday, and they treated us with such friendliness and a tentativeness, and the food was absolutely delicious!
I always love coming to Alex Di Peppe's! The Pink Sauce is delicious, and the marinara sauce is delicious 😋 highly recommend this small Business. They have Pasta weeknight specials to get a great deal on a salad, entree, with meatball!
Been a few years and this place is still TOP TIER! Legit my favorite place to get pink sauce pasta and they did a damn fine job! It’s family owned and the family is from the community as well. Me and my brother use to do band with their kids and he would donate yummy pizza to our school. Support this local business and get a full satisfied belly in return. Excuse the messy fotos just couldn’t wait to dig in!
First time here and I have to say, it’s pretty darn good!!! The antipasto salad was loaded with meat and cheese. The garlic bread is very tasty. I had the Chicken Marsala….. It was very good! Everyone was very pleased with their food. Looking forward to trying the pizza next, it looked delicious!!
First time visit this Italian restaurant who has been serving 50 years in this neighborhood. Great service, authentic spaghetti plates and we were really enjoy the food and the atmosphere here. Looks simple cuisine but it is tasty and reasonable price for the spaghetti night options. Rated favorite restaurant in Arcadia! 🤌
Very nice family operated Italian restaurant! Both the Chicken Parmigiana and Spaghetti with Meatballs were delicious! Finally the staff is polite and there is free parking outside.
We ordered chicken alfredo and the chicken parm. It was delicious! Ordered the qty for light eaters and it was plenty of food. Good to see this place has that option more restaurants should do this. No food was waisted here👍🏻
If you are looking for good authentic Italian food with a homemade taste! You need to eat at this family owned restaurant! Great food and reasonable prices😊
Birthday dinner at the best Italian restaurant around! The food never disappoints, always first rate, and desserts are top quality.
Very tasty food. I’m really impressed 🤓

We were having a birthday party next door at the karaoke , and the staff recommended this Italian restaurant to us. We ordered three pizzas which were very tasty and we will definitely come back for more next time. Highly recommended!
It's nice to get something that isn't asian food, when you're always surrounded by it. This family owned restaurant was next door to the karaoke place we just left, so we figured we'd give it a try. I had the Chicken Parmigiana, while my friend had the pasta sampler. We both finished our plates clean, so we very much enjoyed our meals here. The waiters came by often enough to check in on us, despite it being a busy time and many of the tables were filled. Definitely come by here if you're looking for Italian food. They also seem to have a special take out menu, so check it out if you're looking for that instead.
Great little Italian place! LOVED the cheese garlic bread, their marinara is amazing and house made tiramisu! Our waitresses were friendly and kind. Brandi took good care of us from making recommendations to advising us of the portion size! She was great! I highly recommend you check this place out! It will not disappoint.
Love this place been going here for almost 20 years. Small mom & pop shop that I love to support. I moved out of the neighborhood in 2018, & I'll still drive 20-30 minutes to visit this spot when I crave it.
Food was great Veal Parm dinner amazing Service was even better. 👌 from The time I walked in the staff was AMAZING BUT...I have to say. ITALIAN RESTAURANT WITH NO ESPRESSO....PLEASE DONT DO THIS TO ME...

Small family type restaurant. Very nice, polite and attentive service. Every one helps. Very limited hours. Their menu is simple yet very good. I'm glad friends took us there. I wish they had more expanded hours.
We had the pasta sampler, Alex's pizza, and a deluxe salad, with side order of sausage and meatball. Good: the pizza was very good. Medium was a decent size to share with 2-3 people, nice amount of toppings, good taste. The dough was perfect in the right amount of flavor, density, chew, but yet a crisp at the bottom and edges. Pasta sampler was 1/2 lasagna with two pastas, we chose angel hair with meat sauce and meatballs ravioli with pink sauce. Pastas we're good, lasagna was the best. The sampler was a good size for one person to, enough to share with another but not enough for family style. Meh: deluxe salad was really just rabbit food. It was okay, just lettuce, olives, mozzarella, nothing fancy. Garlic bread was not good. We're gonna just have bread with butter next time. Sausage was okay, can use a hint more salt but it was decent. Meatball okay too, texture was very fine, great for feeding young kids though. Service was great, definitely a place we will come regularly to for Italian food.
I'll start the review by saying, as a New Yorker I've been blessed to know good Italian so it's really not fair to try and compare. That said, it's good Italian for California. The pizza is top quality; fresh ingredients, good quantity and if you like a thicker crust, similar to Papa John's, but good 😂 you'll like this place. I also get the pasta (been a few times over the years) and their pink sauce is pretty good. Sweeter if you like it that way. This last visit I ordered a meatball parm. The woman looked at me like I was speaking Italian. Apparently the word parm didn't exist when it came to subs. I got what I wanted but it was just a funny story.
Craving for some spaghetti marinara, lucky for me I came across Alex Di Peppe's. It's one of those place that you miss because it doesn't stick out. Well, to my surprise this place has been here for quite some time now and I can't believe I've never been. They are just right across Carmine's which sadly close down. Busy for a small joint. I noticed that they have a lot of regulars. One of them actually talked to me and gave me some tips on what to order. The staff is very friendly and courteous. When I ordered my food they made sure to follow up on me about how long my order was going to take. I ordered the spaghetti marinara and meat balls with a side of salad and garlic bread; it's a bit salty for my taste, but the whole thing tasted great. You can order it full or half. We also tried the spaghetti with garlic and olive oil. If you like salty stuff then you're going to need some salt on the side for this. For me it was perfect. Lastly, we also tried the individual size of Hawaiian pizza. Just the right size if you're sharing and the flavors are just on the spot. The marinara sauce along with the ham and pineapple. Mmmmmmmm! Yummy. If you look around you will see the history of this establishment. It's great to know that a place like this still exist and I like how they are active within the community. I definitely insist you try it out if you're ever in the area.
This family-owned local gem has been popping up in my feed a lot lately so we finally made it in for a dinner. Highlights were the garlic bread and gnocchi, and their pink sauce is to die for! Service was very friendly but the vibes inside were a little strange - I’d definitely come back but would opt for take out. For our dinner we both got the pasta sampler which comes with a half order of their lasagna and two other types of pasta of your choice. Hubby opted for the gnocchi and angel hair and I opted for the ravoli (half meat and half cheese). The server recommended their pink sauce and it was absolutely fantastic! It’s a mix of their Alfredo and marinara so if you love pink sauce, theirs is a must for sure. We started with side Caesar salads and they were pretty decent with an ample portion. We also got an order of garlic bread and ommggg it was some of the best garlic bread I’ve ever had - highly recommend. You’ll need it to soak up the more than generous amount of sauce they give you lol! Lots of garlicky butter with a crispy outside and soft inside. Excellent with their flawless pink sauce. Unfortunately I didn’t care for their lasagna at all. It had a strange aftertaste and the meat almost tasted burnt. I wouldn’t get it again. But their ravioli and gnocchi were both fantastic. Great flavors and the texture of the gnocchi was lovely - might have been the best gnocchi I ever had and I would definitely get this again. We finished our meal with their Spumoni dessert and it was also delicious. Where other Italian restaurants serve it as a bowl of ice cream, Alex’s serve it as a decorative slice of ice cream cake and it’s so nice! Would also get this again. We almost thought they were closed at first when we walked in - it was late afternoon on a weekday and the restaurant was very dark with a divey, seedy feel to it. And it was completely silent except for banter and music coming from the kitchen - even though there were several other parties dining in. Maybe it’s more lively during dinner rush hours? Felt very weird sitting in our dark little corner lol. Despite the weird vibe, staff were helpful and friendly and we felt very welcome by them. Prices are pretty fair for the area - I’d say mid range. And the portions are massive so it’s a good deal. They’re located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking.

Food was great. Kids loved the cheesy pizza. Ice cream dessert was delicious. Not an Italian thing but they need some good wing options to go with the tasty pizza! 🙏
Be careful—the portions are generous. Grateful for the light eater option. The food is consistently good. A family favorite is the chicken parm! My son likes their pizza. It is not a huge restaurant so you may have to wait a bit. They do a strong takeout business. The waitresses hustle and do a great job of looking after everyone.

This restaurant is a good solid average decent quality Italian food. Being Italian myself I normally cook my own Italian food when I get the urge. Once in awhile I go out that someone make it for me and serve it to me. The restaurant itself is basic it doesn't offer a lot of amenities, space is tight. The serving staff are very efficient but seem hurried and rather loud and imperative when they take your order. The antipasto salads are very nice, minestrone soup is worse than Campbell's canned variety so I don't recommend it. The lasagna is were baked and pronounced very nice by those who ordered them. The meatballs seemed processed and probably started out life Frozen, again only average. There was plenty of bread served which was very pleasant I thought. Definitely not a fine dining experience, nice place to go get full on Italian food.
Treated my family of 6 to dinner Sat.nite takeout. My family thought the Pizza was great and we all thought the red sauce was the best. However...me not so happy. I ordered chicken with capers and a side of pasta with meat sauce.Chicken very dry, capers burned, no meat sauce, garlic bread dry and tasteless, and ceasar salad bitter. Was drawn to site by 5 stars but for me maybe 3 stars.
Family run place and a little loose on the service. They got my order wrong but that was okay because the lasagna that I didn't order was good. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't very good, and the veal Parmesan wasn't, either. I did like the spicy salame sandwich tho.

This place has the best Italian food I've ever tasted. However, the service is off. Noticed higher quality service being provided to Caucasian customers (minority here). Really wanted to give this place 5 stars but while my fiancée was still finishing her food, one of the servers came up to us and said, "All right guys, time to get outta here." 😑 There were Caucasian customers who were seated before us and no one bothered them. Apparently, the server was joking but the damage was already done. Really disappointing.
It was ok. I got the pizza and it was good but rhe sauce was not the best. The sauce was a little off too acidic I would say. I also got the pasta sampler and again that sauce just wasn't doing it for me. The meat sauce was very disappointing. The pasta tasted watery and not really wowing in any way.
My family and I have been going there for years and when I say years that included their old location. My family always looked forward to going there because the family style service was great! The owner Larry would come by your table and was very friendly. The servers were always friendly and really made our meal special. Oh and the food was great!! I am so thankful they made it through Covid because my family really made a connection. We will miss you guys. The food is not as good and the family touch is gone! Randy thank you as you were always helpful and really nice to Jimmy. I hope the best for you guys I really do!! But you will probably not see us again. Lee
Really bummed to write this review. I used to eat at Alex Di Peppe’s back when they had their original location off El Monte. I finally made a return visit after ten years, and the whole experience is just off. The pizza is mostly the same as most neighborhood pizza spots, save for the whole roasted garlic which isn’t as scorched as they used to make it. On top of that, service was abysmal. I know it’s still run by the original owners, but the magic is gone.

This was my best Italian restaurant since last year but today, I’m not impressed. The service was good as usual and very attentive. However, the problem is with the food. The first picture was the best moment of the food we had there. It was creamy and the season is on point. The second and third picture is for our “last” time here. The sauce is a mess, so oily and overly season. We asked the server that is this the usual one and she say yes when it cold it, the oil or butter will separate and it will become like this. So, I’m not argue with her anymore since she say it is usual but for me it’s not. Sadly to lose our favorite spot but we will not be there anymore.
