The place is awesome. I was so happy to find veggie options in the menu that were more than just a salad. Not only the food was amazing but the service and the atmosphere were great. We tried the tasting menu and it was so worth it. Santiago and all the other servers were on top of it, making sure we had a great experience. Definitely coming back!

Top Peruvian experience in NYC. Ceviche, pulpo and risotto were all top notch. Highly recommend this culinary hotspot.

Phenomenal. 10/10. The waiter’s were super patient, respectful and helpful. They explain the food into good depth, explaining the culture and tasty ingredients the dish offers. Artesano personally represents the Peruvian cuisine perfectly, it makes you look at other dishes differently afterwards. It’s definitely worth the price, and it’s really enjoyable with company. Lastly, the restaurant is beautiful, from the bar to the entrance to the grass/forest ceiling perfectly aligns with the amazing food the chefs cooked up. I recommend it if you’re willing to try something new, even if you’re familiar with Peruvian food this restaurant would not let you down.

An unforgettable dining experience We chose Artesano to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was truly one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive to every detail, creating an elegant yet very welcoming atmosphere. The food was exceptional, a true expression of high end Peruvian cuisine. Every dish from the tasting menu was beautifully executed, with bold yet perfectly balanced flavors and impeccable presentation. You can truly feel the quality of the ingredients and the level of technique behind every plate. A very special and heartfelt thank you to Chef César for his outstanding talent, creativity, and genuine hospitality. Not only is his cuisine exceptional, but his personal involvement made the experience even more meaningful. He took the time to come to our table, ask about our preferences, explain the inspiration behind each dish, and ensure that everything was perfect. His passion for his craft and his attention to guests truly elevate the entire dining experience. We would also like to recognize the incredible work of the sous chefs and the entire kitchen team for their dedication, precision, and professionalism. We also want to highlight the incredible service provided by Renzo, whose knowledge, kindness, and detailed explanations of each course made the experience even more memorable. His service, along with the rest of the staff, was absolutely top tier. The combination of quality, service, attention to detail, and atmosphere makes Artesano a truly unique restaurant. We highly recommend it for any special occasion or for anyone looking for a world class dining experience. Thank you, Artesano, for making our anniversary celebration truly unforgettable. We will definitely be back.

We celebrated my birthday at Artesano, and I have no words to describe the amazing time we all had. From the seating to the ambiance and service, everything was perfect. The food was out of this world and the atmosphere was amazing. I will totally come back very soon for their tasting tour. Renzo was a great server, he made my night very special.

Lovely experience and very surprising flavours. The dishes were well executed and you can see the technique and the fusion of traditional culinary and modern twist. The restaurant was perfect for our group of 5.

Artesano serves upscale Peruvian cuisine in an upbeat modern environment. The quality and flavor combinations were consistently excellent from dish to dish based on 7 different dishes. I can confirm that the product is worth the price tag. The dessert was the cherry on top, left me speechless.

Came here for lunch with a party of four during the week. We had a reservation, but didn't seem like there was much need for one. The place is on the smaller side and could be easily be missed from the street (we almost did!) but once inside is a very earthy and warm feeling restaurant. We were sat right away and our waitress was not only incredibly helpful and accommodating, she was also super knowledgeable about all the menu offerings which certainly helped our diet diverse party. I went for the Arroz Chaufa, a Peruvian take on fried rice with chicken. It was delicious and warming, especially on a cool fall day. One thing to note that I don't usually pick up on, but I loved their stoneware, the bowls felt so organic and natural looking, it made me want to get some of my own! We finished off the meal with a nice cup of cappuccino that was as good as any coffee shop I've been to in the area. The lunch menu is a little on the limited side, but that just left me wanting to come back again for dinner to try what else they might have. This is definitely a place I'm keeping in the back of my mind when I want to take people out for something that isn't your usual NYC fare.

Love this place! Some of the very best Peruvian food anywhere. My waitress (Sophia) was also excellent. I ordered the Pulpo Causa and Brussel Sprouts. The octopus was extremely tender and the olive tapenade sauce complimented it perfectly.

Today I had the best time at this place. Traditional Peruvian food on point, unique flavors, and an excellent service either ag the bar or the tables. The cocktails and the dessert are to die for.

It’s my third time driving to Artesano from Westchester County. This time we went to the Sunday brunch. Their fusion of Sushi with a Peruvian ceviche touch was amazing! We loved the Lomo Saltado! I had Pisco Sour and my wife Sangria, both great. I’m telling my friends about Artesano.

My friend and I had a great lunch at this restaurant and absolutely loved the food. The ambiance was charming, and we were especially impressed by the beautiful plates and dishes the food was served on. We'd never seen anything like them before. My friend also pointed out the unique wooden coffee spoons—a first for both of us! It's the little details that make a place special. We'll definitely be back for another meal soon.

We had reservations for dinner and let me tell you, everything was to perfection. Every dish was made with hand crafted beautiful art, the drinks delicious and the dessert was to die for. Staff very friendly and highly knowledgeable about each dish and explained everything into detail about the culture of Peru. We had an exceptional experience and would most definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had the most incredible dinner tonight. The space is beautiful- great lighting (date night dream), open kitchen, ambient noise and good background music without being too loud to talk. The dishes were a good mix of creatively plated classics and fun Peruvian spin offs- equally as surprising as they were approachable crowd-pleasers. Service was formal but friendly. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, and as excited about the food as we were. Thank you to the Artesano team for an amazing and memorable evening. A special thank you to Chef Daniel for going above and beyond to make sure we had a good time- your attention to detail did not go unnoticed. All our love.

I’ve been following Chef Rodrigo Fernandini’s drool-worthy posts on Facebook and Instagram, so I had to know…does he have a restaurant in the U.S.? To my surprise and delight, he does, and it’s right in NYC! Naturally, we went for lunch at Artesano, and it was everything I hoped for. The flavors were right on point. The menu struck a perfect balance, just enough options to excite, without overwhelming. For starters, we had the pulpo causa, and it was so good we ordered a second. We also tried the ceviche, which was just okay for me, but my husband loved it. For our main dishes, he went with the arroz chaufa with beef, and I had the pan con chicharrón sandwich. That sandwich was mouthwatering, perfectly crafted and full of flavor. I also ordered a chicha pisco cocktail, and wow… the flavors were just perfect! We arrived just before a large group, so we got to enjoy the calm and cozy vibe. The decor was stylish and welcoming, though I personally think a few more real plants could brighten things up even more. Bonus: the bathroom was clean! Overall, it was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back. As Chef Fernandini says—Buenazo!

Seating was really fast. We reserve with a day in advance. The only problem was that the ac went down, but still, food was amazing. Our table was shaking the server noticed but didn't do much about it. We were tasting a lot of plates. My wife and I felt left over since we didn't order everything at the same time. But food and drinks make this place an experience Will be back for sure

Good vibe and excellent service. My wife and I both had the 7 course tasting menu. Everything tasted great and was presented beuatifully. Tasting menu was $140 per person. This was quite different than less gourmet Peruvian food I have had in the past, but quite tasty. Would recommend Artesano.

My bf and I wanted one last good meal in NYC before heading to the airport, and Artesano Peruvian Cuisine in Tribeca delivered. I’ve had this spot bookmarked for a while, and I’m so glad we squeezed it in before our flight. It’s just a short walk from our hotel and ended up being the perfect send-off meal. The space is stylish, modern, and slightly upscale without feeling stuffy. From the moment we walked in, every staff member greeted us with genuine warmth and friendliness. We were actually the first ones at the door right when they opened at 11am, so we went with their brunch menu. We ordered: Ceviche Mixto – Clean, bright, and super fresh with beautiful plating. A strong example of modern, elevated Peruvian ceviche. Pork Belly Sliders – My bf’s choice. He really enjoyed them but mentioned they were more of a sandwich than true sliders, so the menu description could use a tweak. Fish Sandwich – The fish was fresh, firm yet flaky, and cooked perfectly. Every bite was on point. Artesano is where Peruvian tradition meets modern fine dining. If you love Peruvian flavors and appreciate thoughtful presentation in a stylish setting, this is a must-visit in Tribeca.

Overall, a disappointing experience that did not fully meet our expectations. We were a table of six. The restaurant has a small but pleasant atmosphere; however, the service was extremely slow. Ready food was left waiting for too long before being served, which resulted in it arriving dry at the table. Also one of our friend never had the drink she asked. From the moment we sat down, it took nearly two hours to receive our main course, despite the restaurant being almost empty. The staff appeared very laid-back and inattentive, showing little sense of urgency or care. The food itself had good flavor and concept, but was overly dry by the time it was served. There is a lot of room for improvement, particularly in service and timing.

Like a 22yo newlywed dispensing martial advice, Artesano has all the right elements but isn't quite ready for primetime yet. Our dinner started off well. We were seated quickly and enjoyed the cozy, quiet, beautifully decorated ambience. The first few courses were stellar: The Artesano Ceviche was everything a classic mixto should be and had plenty of seafood variety, tiger's milk, choclo and sweet potato. The Pulpo al Olivo arrived nicely chewy with a unique accompaniment of tapioca crisps. The entrees were where the inexperience started to show. I will say that our Branzino a La Parrilla was perfectly cooked, but the accompanying aji panca marinade seemed like overkill and was largely unnecessary when you already have a sauced and grilled fish that well done. The spring salad was nice, though, and not too tart. The Mushroom Chifero was a huge disappointment. I was hoping for some true Peruvian-Chinese innovation (a la modern chifa), but this was mostly just large-grained sticky rice with roasted maitake mushrooms that were ruined by a completely unnecessary sweet and tart tamarind sauce. It felt like, in the interest of being creative and unique, they decided to throw in a fruit sauce to stir things up--but what is the point of serving a fried rice dish with fried garlic, scallions and mushrooms if you're just going to drown it in tamarind? I didn't want to order this but was convinced to get aside dish of Truffle Yuca Fries. They were fine, but the truffle flavor was weak and they really needed the accompanying huancaina sauce to import any flavor. I get that yuca is a pretty flavorless starch vegetable, which is why I didn't really want to pay $18 (yes, $18) for this side dish. After the entrees, the service team dropped the ball harder than Aaron Rodgers last month in Dublin. We waited at least 20 min, but no one came to clear our plates, check on us or ask if we wanted dessert. By this time, the restaurant had filled up and the vibe had turned distinctly clubby: my geriatric ears could hardly hear anything over the thunderous bass of DJ Whats-His-Face and MC Who-Knows-That. When we finally flagged down a server, ordered dessert and finished it, well....it wasn't worth the hassle. I forget the name of the dessert, but it was Choclo something and featured corn sponge cake, corn mousse, chulpi praline, and mango gel. The sponge cake had perfect texture but barely any corn flavor. The corn mousse was lovely, but the mango gel overwhelmed it and felt unnecessary. When we paid and left, no one acknowledged us or thanked us. Guess they couldn't hear us through the pulsating beats. All in all, a tepid finish to a promising start.

Visited Artesano on a solo dining experience. The hosts lacked hospitality, no greeting and little warmth, but my server was excellent and turned the service around. The Nikkei Tuna Tartare was fresh and delicious, and the Potato dessert was creative and unforgettable. Unfortunately, the Lomo Saltado was disappointing: tender beef but missing the authentic Peruvian flavors, feeling more like an American style stir fry. Overall, memorable in parts but uneven in execution.

We ordered the chef’s tasting menu at Artesano. Firstly, in our seat by the kitchen the fluorescent lights were blinding. Then our server was not able to recommend a wine pairing for our meal beyond “red for meat and white for fish”. The tasting menu was not a balanced meal. Many items were drowning in very citrusy or spicy sauces, it made it hard to taste any of the flavors. Other dishes had very fatty parts that were not rendered enough, and dessert was extremely difficult to eat because none of the elements were integrated together. We had four different servers coming to our table, so the meal was always being interrupted because they kept reaching across the table, to the point where we were finding hairs from them in our plates. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary dinner and the restaurant gave us two boxes at the end with cookies in them as a gift, the cookies were so hard and stale that we almost chipped a tooth trying to taste them. This was a very disappointing experience overall.

Great for IG photos, terrible food. I really wanted to like this place, but it was a huge letdown. We spent $200 on five small dishes and left disappointed. I don’t mind paying for quality, but the food was extremely below average. The signature risotto was literally raw—crunchy rice at a high-end restaurant is inexcusable. Tried two of their three ceviches. Flavor was okay, but the fish tasted off and sour. The seafood dish was the only silver lining, but even that was basically a bowl of rice with a $50 price tag. My cocktail was bland and forgettable. To be fair, the service was good and friendly, but unfortunately that couldn’t make up for the poor food and overpriced menu. Save your money—don’t come here.
