Love coming here for the chill vibes, community out reach and just over all amazing service! The staff is amazing and appreciate having a safe space to come!

One of my FAVORITE Austin hangouts. However, this is the second time I’ve been here with a utilities issue. First time it was no power, today it’s no A/C😅 I vote you close your doors when these things happen. On to somewhere that is well cooled with these Austin temps😵‍💫

This is a great bar with amazing staff. It’s not always anyone’s cups of tea but it does have a bit of everything. Whether ur a pup, kinkster, cub, chub, chaser, or whatever ur into, this place will most likely suit ur tastes. There’s regular events happening throughout each month such as karaoke, gear nights, red/white nights and others. Come out and see what’s up

Absolutely love this place, the vibes are chill and the moment you walk in you can see it’s a good place for any and all to come out and hang. The food is immaculate (especially the brunch), the service is friendly and the drinks are perfect. If you wanna get out of the hustle and bustle of inside then there is a super comfy and spacious patio outside with easy access to the Bootblack stand. A wonderful place for community an a pillar of Austin’s leather community.

My husband & I went there to see Cynthia Lee Fontaine (La Cucu) during Sunday Brunch. Walking in we were greeted by a very friendly person at the door. We found our table, and got to ordering our food and drinks. Had the Monte Cristo, the Benny Bowel, and took a BBQ plate to go. We also ordered 2 passion fruit mocktails. The show was AMAZING & the food and drinks were DELICIOUS. Great atmosphere, & affordable prices. I would highly recommend The Austin Eagle.

It's asking me to rate the Eagle :P I haven't been too often but they host events from my community there and provide what seems to be a safe environment for everyone to just be themselves. I don't know why anyone would rate anything but 5 stars who comes here.

Always an amazing time here with the Gay Leather and Kink communities. They also have Drag Shows and other events for ALL sexual orientations. EVERYONE is welcome here - and the vibes are always GREAT!

Posted Saturday 19 October 2024: It's been open for quite a while and me being an over 50-year-old dubious of all, sarcastic smart ass, I wasn't sure if I would like it. Yet today, I got off my ass and FINALLY went to check it out. Verdict? SPECTACULAR!!!! It was just after 2 pm, an event was going on, and I felt this immediate awesome vibe! The bartender, Ron- he has a great smile and great sense of humor- was complete perfection and the cocktails he made me did the job intended. The indoors were darkly cool and decently lit with great art and nostalgia on the walls, outdoor area was laid back with more great art and such (I nearly cried when I came across a piece of the bar from mid 20s that existed downtown by the Capitol Building so long ago, Charlie's), plenty of shade and an overall comfortable space. They also serve food- burger, cheesesteak, club, quesadilla, chicken tenders- and although I wasn't hungry/partake, other customers were chomping away happily. Would I go again? Sure! Would I bring friends with me? Hell yes, I would! The Austin Eagle is fantastic, and I so hope it remains that way. I will be visiting again!!! Saturday, 26 October 2024: Hello again- came back for an unexpected second visit. And? Still fantastic!!! Met Daryll (or Darrell?) the bartender and Luis, and other folks about. Put it on your list of go to places, everyone- need to stop for a cocktail and/or delicious food served quickly? The Austin Eagle is a definite place to stop and take a pleasant breather, with cool staff to make sure all is well and offer lively conversation!!!

Welcoming environment with a wide range of clients and ages. Busiest area was the back patio, where it was easy to carry on conversations. Bar staff were friendly and attentive.

Nice place, a little pricey for a drink, and the crowd is mostly 20 somethings, which isn't my thing but hey its cool enough that ive dropped in 3 or 4 times over the past year. Parking sucks too.

It's a nice place that's not downtown, I just wish they had better music. It made me feel like I was at a rave that I didn't want to be at. I only saw two people max on the dance floor, so I'm guessing I'm not the only person who thinks the music can improve.

They have nights for such events but in a strip mall with bright lighting going in underwear or a jock or less is unsafe and risky. If you want an eagle bar experience go to Dallas, Oklahoma, or Denver. This is just a gay restaurant. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I bought a sandwich and Topo Chico that was listed at $14, but I was shocked to see I was charged $22 total. Turns out a fraudulent tip was added without my knowledge or consent. That’s an $8 overcharge, absolutely unacceptable. Total rip-off. Be careful if you eat here check your receipt before you pay!
