View to the island while you enjoy a great tasting breakfast. Enjoyed the pancakes with sausage. Coffee was good, my daughter enjoyed her muffin pancakes, my hubby had the steak and eggs and really enjoyed his breakfast.big space that can accommodate a large group. We were seated immediately?, no waiting. Great service. Would definitely come back. Walking distance from plaza. Would definitely come back.

Visiting Catalina for a long weekend and of the three breakfast places that we tried this was our favorite of the three. It has a beautiful location right across from Avalon Bay so you have a great view of the water while dining. It was quite busy when we arrived for our 9:30 Friday morning breakfast but we didn’t have to wait very long. They have a pretty large menu filled with a lot of great options and the other diners around us seemed like they were enjoying their meal as well. Pricing is fair and our server was very polite. The restaurant is actually larger on the inside than it looks on the outside so there are plenty of seating options. The food was pretty good, not quite as good as the breakfast you will get over in the mainland, but for a little island breakfast spot it was really enjoyable. For my meal I ordered the Chorizo Sizzler and enjoyed it. I wish there would have been more chorizo and a little bit less onions but still overall it was a really nice meal. I also got a coffee and thought it was strong and tasty. I would recommend to anyone visiting the island and I would stop in again next time I visit Catalina.

Although I think it's great to have a good breakfast place right on the strip in Avalon, the did was not fantastic. It was good, just nothing special. I'll come back since it's the best I've found on the island, but I'm looking for something better.

My spouse and I decided to stop here for breakfast after our hour and a half boat ride on the Catalina Flyer around 10am. Food was fantastic. Definitely hit the spot after not eating all morning. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. However, the service was not so great. We felt very rushed and not personable. We were also shoved into a corner in a room that was very warm with no fresh air. And lastly, the price was a little too high for the quality of the experience. Otherwise, we would dine here again.

Great spot for breakfast. Custer service was great. Food came out steaming hot. Ordered an Denver Omelet with sourdough toast. Super yummy. It was very clean and bright lots of windows and super high ceilings.

Pancake Cottage is a VERY popular place for breakfast. If you get there early (before the ferry’s start coming in) you have a better chance of getting a table. The line outside gets long. Prices are ok. Staff are nice and can be quick with service. We split a pancake combo (2 pancakes, 3 slices of bacon and scrambled eggs. It was good. They don’t serve booze

Chorizo skillet was good. Pancakes were gummy and the potatoes were not cooked thoroughly. Service was poor since waiter only dropped of food but never came back to check on us. Had to go to the front desk for the bill. Decorations are bare, but the bar looks nice.

Sometimes it’s all about the location. This is the first place coming off the Catalina Flyer that has a real breakfast. It has a great view to start your morning and breakfast that you can sit down and enjoy. The food is eggs, bacon, waffles, etc….The basics that you are accustomed too. There is a wait, but the line goes fast. The best part of this place is the view you get while eating.

We expected monopolistic pricing due to it being one of the only restaurants open at that time. However we were pleasantly surprised with a window seat and decent prices. Biscuits and gravy were interesting to say the least and arguably looked the worst. The largest negative was the hash brown wad burnt and tasted horrid. Staff were very nice and helpful though.

The food was good, but the service was not. Waiting for the food took longer than anticipated, and it was only warm when it finally came out. The waitress also brought the receipt and put it on the table while both my wife and I were still eating as if to rush us out. There were a few other open tables that no one was sitting at, so we were not taking up seats needed for new guests. Even if we had been, we were still eating, and it is incredibly rude to try and rush guests out like that.

This place is cute. The wait wasn't long considering we went on a nice August Saturday. Our waitress in the left side bar area of place was not very friendly. Had to hunt her down for refills and butter for pancake. Plus she said oh we only have 1 knife clean so you'll have to share. It's kinda pricey so I expected better quality and better service. The food was meh. I wouldn't return again . The view is cute though.

For fellow tourists: there is another breakfast place 3min away called Jacks or Jake’s. I think that place is better Food was very mid to low quality, i got an omelette with only egg whites and maple syrup tasted so fake and the corned beef hash was not okay. This is so weird.
