Tom said it’s goooooeeeeeeewwwddd
Never been to place before and got to try out some of their food for the first time. Got to say, it was pretty amazing and the service was great too.
Great Tex-Mex style spot in Alphabet city. Amazing value, good quality, and fast food. Can't go wrong.
I’m a native Californian and have been missing great Mexican food—this place hit the spot! Meat and guac are amazing, what more do you need?
I loved this place good food, great drinks friendly services super affordable and is open 🥰past midnight And the carpets design ❤️🔥🫀
A good neighborhood staple for tex mex. Fast and friendly service always!
Always love San Loco. The relaxed atmosphere, great food and staff
My go to TexMex local spot. Casual but cool. Love their machos nachos and quesadillas and rice and black beans.
Favorite place for frozen margaritas and tacos
The taco loco has been my favorite taco in NYC for the last 25 years! Unequaled anywhere.
Love their chicken nachos. Reasonably priced. Good drinks.
The staff was excellent, the food was great and the prices are decent. I'll go back.
Such good tacos, great price too! Will def be back!
Great service. Great food. Consistent with the San Loco brand. Love.
Love the taco fish salad bowl here it’s to die for💪🏽
Great service, and great taco. Thank you! Would recommend.
Love this place - definitely try the quesadilla with spicy tofu it is to die for!
The food was amazing and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. What more could one ask for?
Friendly staff. Great prices. Vegetarian options
Food and drink was great. Our tacos were soggy buy we loved it. We ordered take out and by the time me got to the home after 1 stop I would not except it to be crispy. We all love our food and we go back soon
San Loco has the most delicious Tex-Mex you can find in New York City. The tacos are always fresh and delicious, and their nachos will be formulated to your exact desires. The margaritas are refreshing (and effective!) as well. Definitely stop by for an excellent meal!
Dory and Israel were amazing and made our experience here immaculate. Definitely have to come here for the amazing customer service!
Great tacos and drinks very nice people and great customer service
Ordered a burrito loco. Might seem small, but it had the vegetables and sauces on the sides, meaning your burrito is filled with more meat, beans, and rice. Salsa is great with chips. They have a happy hour M - F, 12pm - 6pm.
My favorite NYC mexocan spot. Love rhe guaco loco's Moved away from NYC in 2012 and still miss this place. Get a chipotle guaco loco and thank me later
Excellent Urban Tex-Mex menu. Everything is good. I recommend the taco loco.
This place is so super delicious, I'm happy they have multiple locations. They have all the things Mexican restaurants offer but my favorite thing I can only find here... The Guaco Loco - scrumdiddlyumptious!!! Take your normal hard shell taco, filled with your choice of meat (I prefer fried fish) topped with shredded lettuce and tomato. Then add a soft tortilla covered in guacamole. The texture combination is incredible! Dip it in their unique flavored hot sauce and you're going to have a good time. If you're not into guac (what's wrong with you?) They have Taco Loco which uses refried beans instead. Also the nachos and margaritas here are great too. San Loco, always a good time. Enjoy
It's one of my favorite places to go eat a few tacos with friends while enjoying some frozen margaritas ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Margaritas are bussin- tried a mango one and loved it very strong - bought chips and salsa so I could get a Marg to go and the chips and salsa we're also so good
Could not wait to eat here... was a local spot on Miami Beach years ago... please come back!!!! Next time I go back to New York will definitely be back... order the taco loco... soooooooo good....
Burrito was amazing! Super tasty. Great and friendly service. Oh and Margaritas were super strong. Amazing!
Great midnight snack after partying in LES. Best taco is the guaco loco, hard shell wrapped in guacamole and a soft shell. DELICIOUS
So consistently good. I find a favorite and then try something new and IT becomes my favorite. Guaco loco chicken taco, YUM. Carnitas handheld burrito. YUM. Mango margarita? Forget it
Great food and drinks and fast service. Reliable good Mexican takeout, hoping to use their catering service when i need, would recommend
We were hungry and this restaurant was close by. First time tried their food. It was amazing, juicy and delicious 🫰🏻
Best chips and queso! Love that the bowl is also a tortilla chip!
San Loco never misses😘 Crispy tacos🤤, killer margaritas, chill vibe😎😎Classic NYC spot that still hits after all these years.
Manny is a burst of energy, was having a bad day but when I walked in, he instantly changed my mood, sat at the bar, he is so sweet, fun and kind. The tacos was great and so was the margaritas. Will be back Friday !!! Thank you for making my day!
Stopped by with some girlfriends on a Friday night and the vibes were great! Chill location with a 🔥🔥 playlist. Emmanuel was our bartender and not only was he attentive, super sweet and friendly, I asked him to surprise me with a frozen drink of his choice and he whipped up a cocktail with a lil bit of this + that.. came out tasty and so well made. Cannot wait to come back 😘😘
Guac that is the smoothest and most flavorful! Their hard shell in a soft shell taco is really unique and held all fillings together perfect. Also- Emanuel really made the experience for us and made some fire sangria. Will be back for sure
Delicious food served in a small, very clean and very friendly restaurant. Drinks were nice and strong while still being very flavorful. I had two taco locos with chipotle chicken and a rum punch which was amazing. Only thing I would change is next time I’ll be asking for some guac on my tacos; tried some of their guac off of my friends burrito loco and it was amazing. My new go-to spot for mex food. Prices were perfect/reasonable. 11/10 don’t hesitate, just go!!
San Loco on 111 ave c is always our first option and it never disappoints. Local good food is hard to find especially during this time good Mexican food and drinks. Frozen margaritas are amazing I recommend the Mango. Our server Dietrich was very welcoming he checked our temperature and took down our information. It made me feel safe because there taking extra precaution for safety. (P.s THE LUNCH SPECIALS ARE AWESOME AND AFFORDABLE 12-6)
Manny behind the bar ensured we had the best time. The tacos were really good too. Great spot to grab some food and an awsome margarita before going to a show at nublu!
My favorite Tex Mex spot in the city going on for years. Hope these guys can come across the river to jc :) can’t go wrong with the queso loco tacos! 🌮
I have been coming to San Loco for more than a decade. While the locations change the food is consistently great. This is not fancy food! This is legit “gringo mex”. There are hard shell tacos, soft shell tacos guacamole, margaritas and more. Everything tastes better when you are buzzed and snacking but that might just be me. This location is super clean and nice with outdoor seating and a plenty of seating.
Blackberry Margarita on the rocks. San Loco is still some of the best tacos in NY. Guaco Loco Chicken Chipolte taco is delicious. Will go back again soon.
What a gem! Highly recommend we devoured our starters and had to take our main to go. Amazing service, mind blowing food!

The best of the best Tex mex! Been a local lunch spot for twelve years. This spot is flexible with food options, vegan, vegetarian, carnivore they got it all! Service is always helpful and vibes a lowkey chill. You won’t regret a meal at San loco !
awesome experience ordering catering for a large group workshop. delicious and generous taco bar and spread. their empanadas are incredible. chips, too. our whole team loved lunch! jill also was so easy to communicate and work with!
Great vibes, great food, lamb was especially good. Margaritas are portioned to the customers favor. Oh and great design, both the seat cushions and the wall art throughout.
My friends and I found this hidden gem well walking around EV. We were greeted with open arms by the wonderful bartender and owner of San Loco. He brought us in providing us with food, drinks, and shelter in a time of need. He curated an environment for us to thrive in, playing great music and showing us how to properly do the Macarena. If you ever find yourself in this part of town do yourself a favor and stop by this local establishment. 10/10 will be back.
Had such a great time here! It’s a cute little spot. Big shoutout to Greg behind the bar! He was super friendly, made great drinks, and kept the energy fun the whole time. Their frozen margaritas are my favorite. I definitely recommend stopping by!
A very nice casual atmosphere. Dory, our bartender was very friendly and professional. She had knowledge of the public’s preferred menu items and was very welcoming. The food was delicious, and you cannot beat that price. We live in the neighborhood and had never tried it. I had the carnitas nachos and my wife had a taco platter. Both were delicious. Cocktails were much needed after a long day. Will 100% go again. Thanks Dory!
Had the carne asada quesadilla and it was delicious. Frozen margarita mango was tasty too. There was a black guy, don’t know his name, that handled my order and he was super friendly and got me my order fast. If he’s there I’m there.
My teenage son took me here and I was pleasantly surprised food is 10/10 I came back with my friends and service was amazing wanna thank waiter especially for saving our stroller without brakes going into street! He ran into action thought there was baby inside! This place deserves ALL the flowers
Ended up here completely by random — had the best time watching the game with friends!! Dory (our server) was so helpful and so cool. Would 100% come here again!

Very decent Mexican fare, though their use of a microwave is a bit off-putting. Lovely staff and cozy atmosphere.
Pretty cool spot and I love the hard Tacos.
Great tacos and burritos! Update: still good!
OMG...soooooo good! Great flavor! Generous size dishes.
Actual tacos like you grew up with. Warm service. Across the street front the hottest bars in New York. Or order in if not there yourself. But definitely order.
Food is fresh, tasty, nice portions. Margaritas are excellent and well spiked. I gave it 4 starts because the place is not very clean, and the design seems a bit outdated. Needs some fine tuning around the edges. Other then this, it’s a local spot behaving local, we will definitely be back.
Great Tex-Mex food. The chicken quesadilla was enough for two and each bite was delicious. Their tacos are legendary in L.E.S. There is no table service available. You have to place your order at the register and pay before you receive your food. The prices are reasonable, their servings are generous, the food is savory, the classic Latin music was fun for reminiscing, and the staff is friendly. You won't be disappointed. FYI: Nice TV by the bar to catch a game while you eat. Stays open late.
Have really good food. They are open late, so if you have that hungry feeling after a few drinks. This is the place to go. 🌯 Burritos are my favorite here.
Good decent food at a reasonable price
I lived in Brooklyn for years and this was a staple. One of my favorite places in the entire northeast. I moved away years ago and just had the food again for the first time since 2017. I’m so sad that it isn’t what it used to be.
We got margaritas and the hard shell tacos. The tacos were delicious but we don’t think they put any alcohol in the margarita? It was a very expensive slushee.
The food was good, enjoyed it. The sersive was mid, and there was a lady with 2 dogs who was sitting next to where you order and close to the kitchen. My girlfriend is highly allergic to dogs and having them in such a small space is not healthy. You also have to order at the counter first before sitting, even tho you have the illusion of a small restaurant with a bar.

Nothing special. I had way tastier mexican food.
Confusion when placing order. Food was underwhelming.
Its cheap.. Ok for i guess a budget night out. Drinks were weak. Food wasn't amazing but edible.
Nothing compared to when it first opened. Wow. The food is nothing like it was before.
I gave a 2 rating cause they put the meats in the microwave which I find so nasty if I wanted a microwave taco I would have made it at home. It even taste different. I just go there for the drinks literally. Don’t even waste your money on the food honestly
The guy that works in the daytime in here is very rude. He doesn't make you feel welcomed and rushed through everything he doesn't try to accommodate you for anything like he has something against black people. His tone is very awful food here is good but the service is trash. I never trashed anyone's restaurant please cut the lies via ( owner ) of restaurant
That was the most lackluster burrito I’ve add in ages. I haven’t had San Loco since they were on A. Decided to try them and boy, that was a mistake. Just a basic bland burrito. And pretty small for the money. ***** Just updating my original review after receiving the owners response - I bought the “mission” burrito l, which is $14.50 and added guacamole for $2. So $16.50. Even in NYC and Manhattan, $16.50 for a burrito is pretty pricey. In this case, $16.50 got me bland, small and pretty soulless. As the owner mentions, I could have continued to buy add-ons. But for the price, I’d expect a tasty and satisfying meal. A suggestion for the business owner - rather than being defensive, consider the customer feedback and try to improve.
order through delivery. The food was very bland. Since when is Mexican food bland no seasoning. Then nothing had the hot sauce I asked for on certain items. My guests and family were not impressed. It made our taco Tuesday dinner depressing. Never again. I rather order taco bell than from here.

Bad food. Whole family had stomach pain all day
Probably one of the worst meals I’ve had in a very long time
Ordered from them and after 90mins it didnt show up and the phone line didnt work. Don’t order delivery from them!
This restaurant gave me severe food poisoning, which they are attempting to cover up by deleting reviews.
It was my 3rd time coming here for the margaritas never had an issue. This time i was met with the nastiest attitude from the night time server behind the counter, yelled at me in front of other customers that my debit card didnt work, ( he was swiping it the wrong way) and after i paid for my drinks, he yelled at me pointing to the screen to tip. He was so distespectful and will not be returning. Shame on him.
This place is trash. You just get ignored when you walk in the place. Horrible attitude and just bad service. Food is what you’d expect. Also, went on a hot day for frozen drinks and it was hot inside. Didn’t stay. This is the third time I’ve given this place a chance, there won’t be a fourth.
food is gross horribe service the chopped girl with the black hair and bangs and eyeliner needs to be fired immediately anytime i walk in its like im being judged for ordering food
If you like basic seasonings like salt and pepper do not come to this restaurant. Worst tacos in all of New York. The rice had absolutely no taste, the beans just tasted like lime. Would not recommend please do not come. Came with four other ppl and they completely agreed.
The food was pretty bland. I ordered the chicken burrito and was pretty much rice, bite after bite. The nachos were incredibly disappointing they just threw “carne asada” on top. No kind of flavor of anything. Lower east side needs better Mexican food or Tex/Mex.
horrible service all the workers have attitude and burritos are not good
