Great takeout spot! We ordered the lomo saltado and rotisserie chicken, both were delicious. The food was a bit salty, but the hibiscus drink balanced it nicely.

I recently stopped having food delivered so this is my first time in the actual restaurant in a long time. They have made some really nice changes to the decor. The already know the food is amazing so it’s extra special to see where it’s prepared. Service was excellent!

Terrific little Peruvian barbecue spot. For me there they are local I can get delivery or pick up relatively quickly. Staff is friendly and professional. Prices are low but the portions are beyond generous! You get so much good food for your money, their yellow rice is amazing! They always cook my food to perfection.

Thanks for the amazing Lomo Saltado. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. It’s been a while since I’ve been there! I took my meal home and paired it with some home made fermented hot sauce. The price was just right and the Lomo was fantastic !

I was referred to this place by one of my brothers who lives in West Orange, NJ and he was 1000% correct!! I walked in Friday evening and had the 1/2 rotisserie chicken, rice & black beans, plantain (tostones), and a slice of red velvet cake. Compliments to the chef or chefs as the food was that memorable that I went back the next morning when they opened up and treated my brother and I to Saturday brunch. The seasoning and juiciness of the chicken was phenomenal, white rice and black beans was hot and mixed together incredibly and the plantains were excellently cooked. The slice of red velvet cake was so soft and whomever baked it deserves to be on TV in a baking competition! Seriously!!! There are times when something happens once and you can say, "Okay, wow - this was good!" To have a repeat of the delicious food and awesome customer service from the employee behind the counter, let's you know the business is built on satisfaction! (I wish I had gotten the name of the guy who took my order both times because he was totally professional and exuded such a chill vibe)! Told my wife and daughter, when we come back to NJ, we are going to Pepe's BBQ!!!!!

Amazing hole in the wall. Sma spot that knocks it out of the park! I got their lunch special which is one protein and 2 sides. Ended up with a quarter chicken which was juicy and not dry. The chicken skin was still crispy and it was bursting with flavor. Rice and beans were a perfect compliment but the best part was the green sauce. I could not get enough of that. Thankfully they sell them so I will definitely be grabbing a bottle next time I’m in the area. Can’t wait to try more of the menu with that green sauce.

I’m giving it three stars all around but it’s truly because of the pricing. Any higher rating wouldn’t reflect my displeasure. I get on ubereats today and I noticed the combo order I always get half chicken and beef rib combo has went up in price which truly sucks The combo used to be just $20 not counting the fees at checkout and today I get on and it’s $21.60 before the fees truly enjoyed this place so it really sucks Seems like everything has risen when looking at the menu on there for them. I really did enjoy this place

Good service! Though the arroz con mariscos was tasty, there was not enough seafood in it. I find it's best to call ahead & order. There's also limited parking available.

Small restaurant that I've been going to for a while every now and then. Might be my last time stopping by, first of all they really don't have any pricing on the menus. They say they have lunches starting at $12 but that changes with what you order. I ordered a fish lunch special and asked for a additional quarter dark chicken, just the meat. I was told that it was $11 for a quarter of a chicken $2 dollars less than the whole meal. That's absurd, what am I eating the wagyu of chicken? Business practices like this are why restaurants fail not saying these people will but it's definitely bad practice to charge $11 for a quarter of a chicken with no sides. Bad enough the portions are small here. Will go elsewhere moving forward. Help the working class out guys!

the food here is great but they are overpriced. this meal that i ordered was $24, no drinks or extra sides. other BBQ spots give out SILVER PANS for this price. i was in shock when i got it. in this economy that is ridiculous. i used to order from here and this is what i would get for the lunch special and the food is good but no way, prices have obviously gone up.

Horrible experience here. I went here for the first time and asked for a lomo saltado lunch special but wanted extra steak so they suggested that I order the large size which I did and what a disappointment literally there was no meat at all. as you can see from the picture very little meat none at all, all rice and veggies only. Very disappointing as a first time customer I will not be going back.

Idk what In the world compelled me to order from this spot. I was feeling some bbq ribs & decided why not…. I just got my food 5 minutes ago & I kid you not, the beef ribs are inedible. They are unbelievable hard, you can’t even chew! No flavor! Chard! Horrible ribs!! I can’t believe I spent $70 on this crap. I’m not the type to leave reviews like this but damn this is the absolute worst! I’m staring at the meat right now with dissatisfaction & disappointment… never ordering from here again! For those who read reviews don’t play yourself & order somewhere else. These ribs are the worst I’ve ever had.

Recently found a piece of plastic in my empanada. Took two weeks for the manager to call me back. When I asked why it took so long he said he was more worried about his other customers and he had to put that first. Then he said he could refund me my $4. His response and dismissive attitude speaks for itself. The food is delicious and the sweet lady at the front is always nice.
