Dave & Buster's - Bakersfield

I've been here twice since they opened. It does have the brand new feel which is great. Eating there was okay, they didn't have the dishes i wanted each time that i went, probably because they had barely been open a week or two, I'm not sure. What i have ordered so far has been great. The games are fun. Will definitely be back.

Date night perfect place. food was great, fast and good service, the games are not so many but all fun and have a great time.

Nancy, the manager, was excellent! They switched out my meal when I asked with no problems. Jose was awesome was well! Definitely coming back.

Me and my fiance whent on veterans day on November 11th and felt like they were taking a while to take our order but then this this waiter who was tall had a beard immediately started helping us and recommendeding different options and he was just overall great very friendly I wrote down his name I will try to look for it but when I go back I will make sure to get his name but great service from him 10/10 * updated* spent 30 minutes looking for his name that I wrote down shout-out to Alex. great service happy mood

The experience was AMAZING! we were greeted quickly and got everything promptly. Ariana was our bartender/server and she did great despite having to deal with the restaurant by herself! The manager, Serafin, was especially helpful and awesome. Haven’t met another manger that was so involved with a customer in a while. Very impressed. I go there for the ice cold Ultra and amazing food.

Such a fun experience! The games were great, the place was clean, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Food and drinks were on point too. Perfect for a night out highly recommend!

I absolutely loved eating here! The food was so delicious and the atmosphere was fun and enjoyable. The manager Serafin was very attentive to all the patrons, as well as all the servers. I enjoy coming here at least once a week sometimes more. I highly recommend eating and having an amazing time with your family and friends here!

Customer service is always awesome no complaints here. All staff is friendly and attentive. We are regulars because of them always making us feel special. Plus the food is always so good especially the fish and chips and Rib eye steak is our favorite. Thanks to people working it in the kitchen always doing a good job. The Bartenders like Elijah, David, Ryan, Tawnee are the best with drinks at the bar. Always on it and working as fast as they can to serve your drinks. I recommend to come here for sure for games, food and drinks.

Had a great time with my family. My family and I were taken care of by Michelle and Ducky, I will definitely be coming back for the amazing atmosphere and great customer service.

Came here for my niece’s birthday party and had an amazing time! The staff was outstanding—Serafin and his colleague Alex were especially friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service throughout. I’ll definitely be coming back to host my own events here!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I have to give a huge shoutout to the management team here. Both Isaiah and Sarafin go above and beyond every single time I come in. They’re incredibly professional, approachable, and make the whole place run so smoothly. You can tell they genuinely care about both the staff and the customers, which is rare to see. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed help, they handle it right away with a positive attitude and real solutions. It makes a huge difference walking into a place where the leadership clearly sets such a strong example. Big thanks to both of them for creating such a welcoming and well-run environment, it doesn’t go unnoticed!

Great for the kids. Costly and service was awful they forgot my order but brought my kids order periodically. By the time I got my plate didn't even want it no more. They did give us free desert for the inconvenience tho that's why 1 star service.

Our experience was great here at Dave and busters. We had our daughters birthday party recently and I met serafin at target near Dave and busters and asked him if it was a great place for parties. He ensured us we would get great service, we went in and was not disappointed. We will be back

I’d like to apologize for my previous review. I gave a 1 star review because my slushy maker didn’t work and I felt like I wasted my tickets, but after trying it again, it worked sooooooooo… 5 stars😅

On New Year’s Day, our family visited Dave and Buster's, where one of our children who has autism, became overstimulated and was struggling. When dining out, if she becomes upset, the restaurant staff usually try to rush us out, asking repeatedly if we would like to cash out. While other diners stare at us. When Dave and Buster’s manager Ducky approached our table, he did opposite of how we usually get treated. He was very understanding and treated us with so much compassion and kindness. Every worker we interacted with was amazing. Ducky thank you so much for your kindness to our family. We had a great experience and I wanted to acknowledge it by writing a review.

So I had a corporate event down the street and some of the employees wanted to unwind. So we decided why not let’s check out Dave & Buster’s. To my surprise, the entire staff was appeasing attentive beyond my expectation. It was so impressive that we are contemplating talking to the management team about holding our next corporate function there kudos to the entire staff at Dave & Buster’s. You will see us again. Job well done

I'm here on a Friday at 2 p.m, no one else here eating just me and my son, ordered wings and fried pickles for me and crispy chicken bites for him, it took 45 minutes after ordering to get our food, food was ok, not the best but not too bad. Server checked on us twice right after we got our food and not at all the last 30-40 minutes we've been sitting here. Atmosphere gets 5 stars 🌟 I do really enjoy the set up qnd game area. Parking lot is wheelchair accessible with handicapped parking. Good selection of music playing. The lighting is balanced good. Food is fair portions for the price. No happy hour specials until after 4 p.m

Super Fun. Games are expensive. The staff is really friendly with great service. Kids love it.

We met up with a group of friends after an event. We didn't eat but got the play pass. $35/person with other options available. Everything was clean, in working order, and very orderly.

Food ordered was a burger, pasta and chicken tenders, food was not that great, pasta Alfredo tasteless, burger big and grease, chicken was ok, the atmosphere is great, service great too and arcade and games 👌, the bar looked nice, probably a place to take kids to play, or go with friends and drink.

Music was too loud! Can't hear conversations across the table. Took 15 mins before getting asked what to drink. 4 food orders were given over a 15 min span...food looked good but didnt taste that great...was not worth the price. The server was very nice...games were fun...not many were out of order. The games section was an fun filled experience... don't suggest dining in

The food is okay! I wouldn't bother eating their anymore. The games are nice 4 the kids, a bit to much and the prizes are not that good everything good is past 1,000 tickets 😅

It was really quite loud in there and I have been to other locations.Our family went there to unwind from a funeral.I noticed people were drinking more cocktails than eating the food,although our loaded nachos was good.

Probably my least favorite Dave & Busters so far. Sat at the bar and watched people get served before me but sat at the bar after me. Showed my nursing credentials and didn’t get the 15% discount. And I only come for shooter games and every single one needs to be recalibrated because the aim is very off. They do karaoke here I guess so I had to listen to bad singing on top of everything else. Seems like a lot of people come here because there not much else to do in Bakersfield on a Thursday night, but waste of money in my opinion.

Came to try this place for the first time here in Bakersfield. Food was pretty good, but the ribs they give you literally have no meat on them? Service, no one came to refill our cups, came to check up on us or anything and when we were paying they were pointing to the tip. Games kind of suck. Wish they had more claw machines. Not very fun. I wouldn't come here again :/ Should have just went to Texas road house!

We were there on a Monday night football day and Service was bad bad bad! Our waiter was Super slow and had to wait about 20/30 minutes to get our drinks everytime we ordered one 🙄. When our food arrived wing weren't that good and not all the way cooked, asked for ranch like 3/4 times n when finally got it niece was almost done (about 30 min or so) with her fries and didn't want to eat her pizza no more!! We will probably never come back again. Also they wouldn't take our dirty cups as we were done with our drinks we pilled them up because our table was really full!!!

Today was the first time going there with my family I was excited I did like the ambiance I will say our waitress was very nice polite and patient. Unfortunately our food was cold we had 3 orders of chicken tenders 2 of them were cold. Our waitress was already stressed running around I didn’t want to stress her out even more the food was okay my kids enjoyed though.

Seriously.: the only reason we keep coming back is cuz of my 4 year old! Service is TRRRIBLE!!! there’s literally like maybe 14 people here incluiding people seating at the bar.. the Godzilla VR game wasn’t working… called the guy who’s supposed to fix it.:. He rebooted the game… didn’t offer anything for the 3 games my son had priviously without any motion.. we’ve been waiting for our bill… and no one has even came to see what else we need. From the manager on duty to the entire staff.. ZERO interaction or any care in the world of the needs of the customer! Terrible service! Horrible! If you r coming with an expectation of getting an amazing personalized service please look somewhere else cause u wont find it here! 🥴🙄. This place has a lot of potential

We’ve been here several times and it’s always so so. Nothing super fantastic but fun for a few hours. On this night though I lost my temper. My son and I rode our bikes because we live close and I had had two beers. We entered expecting to just leave our bikes out of the way at our table to not get stolen. The bar manager approached us very quickly and blunted said we do not allow those in here and you can lock them up outside. A there aren’t any bike racks B it’s Bakersfield central where there’s always a victim of a stolen car. After going back and forth and calling security it was clear there wouldn’t be an attempt to come to a reasonable compromise. We walked our bikes to Texas Roadhouse where they graciously let us leave them inside and went back to spend our tokens. We had Tamiaya as our sever and although a little apprehensive at first given the situation she was very professional unlike the manager. I’ve working in restaurants for 20 years and even if you can’t accommodate someone you don’t talk condescending to them. There were several simple fixes to the situation. They lost a ton of money but at least the server got a decent tip.

If you are wanting chicken strips, do not get them from Dave and Busters. They shouldn’t even call them chicken strips…they were more like chicken strings 😂 very hard and chewy. They gave me one drop of ranch and on Uber eats the menu says carrots and celery are included, but I did not receive any veggies with my chicken shoe lace strings. Better off going to Wingstop if you are craving good quality chicken strips.

Finally had time for a date night and came here. Security was very helpful. The only people that helped us during our visit. We sat on a table and nobody came to help. The people a table away from us were getting service. Games are okay. We didnt receive help at the price section either. With no customer service, I didn't feel the need to spend much of our money. Thanks security for being kind to us.

Waited 15 minutes to be seated no one approach us. So we just sat at the bar 5 or so minutes later no one was behind the bar or asked if we have been helped. I asked for a manager and they were in the bathroom. I just walked out.

Egift cards suck here. They do not honor them. Also security is a joke. They don't bother to ask staff when needed. I told one security that front entrance hand sanitary station was out and he responded with 'its just for looks ' then he just laughed about it.

Manager Nancy Wright would not take care of us to get our prizes. Rafael did everything he could but they took forever to attend us. Not the best service after being called 3 times.

Only good thing about this place is the atmosphere and the games. From the time we walked in the customer service was horrible. The hostess was very rude, condescending, not welcoming at all and honestly not someone I'd want at the front of my business. This was on a Sunday at about 2pm, the place wasn't busy at all. The hostess said we couldn't sit at the high top tables because "they were all dirty" when really there was only maybe 2 dirty tables. Our waitress wasn't much better, again not friendly, didnt seem to know the menu and it took forever for my husband to get his beer. We only ate a couple appetizers, I do not recommend the garlic fries. Soaked in grease, unlike the description that says "tossed" in all the yummy garlic and parm cheese. Some fries were crispy, like a few on top, but everything else was soaked in grease and flimsy. Overall, we wont be back unless we decide to come play games and have a couple drinks but not the food....hopefully they'll fix the customer service too, because thats everything honestly. Good luck if you go, hopefully you have a better experience than we did.

- My 3rd time here. Everything was good till the other day. - They didnt wash a cup well, my wife drank 80% of it and noticed nasty leftovers on the inside of the cup, I made a simple calm compliant. - They then had 6 security personnel to escort us out. Got mad we didn't head right to the door and leave right away. I told them we're waiting on our kids. - Made it seem like we were criminals lol. Unnecessary... - Not a refund, not even a simple apology about the incompetence to clean. Asked if she wanted another. Why would she want another when things are clearly not washed properly. - that manager def needs better training on customer service. - be aware of your plates/cups/utensil. Might have leftovers from previous customers. - will not be back, good luck.

One of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. We waited 45 minutes for a table despite seeing plenty of empty tables throughout the restaurant. There was nowhere to sit while waiting to watch the UFC fight, and since I cannot stand for long periods of time, I sat at an empty table just to rest my legs. Instead of showing empathy, the manager and front desk staff kicked us out, citing "policy." We weren't even asking for service at that point; I just needed to sit. ​To make matters worse, once we were finally seated "their way," the staff completely ignored us. No one came to take a drink or food order. It felt intentional. We will never be back. They clearly do not care about customer comfort or basic hospitality, just for the record we spend like $300 in games for my kids , so we are not there for free!

We went this past weekend. Waited over an hour for our food that was incorrect. Then we ordered the food to go and the bartender never came back to let us know about our to go order. We spoke to the poor excuse of a Manager. Who was so rude and very unprofessional. He was yelling and being very disrespectful. The bartenders are rude and very unwelcoming. We will not be going back. I Will also be calling corporate because I have never seen an establishment ran the way this restaurant is. Very disappointed with a almost $200 tab to be disrespected and forgot about.

Very disappointed with this place. I visited this past weekend with my husband and children, and we ended up being escorted out by four security guards and the manager simply for making a complaint. When we arrived, our children went to play while my husband and I sat at the bar to have a drink. Right away, I noticed the bar counter hadn’t been wiped down and still had leftover limes from a previous customer. It wasn’t a big deal at first, as I assumed it would be cleaned once we were served. Unfortunately, that never happened. The bartender took our order and removed the limes but didn’t clean the counter. We also were not asked for ID. About halfway through my drink, my husband noticed dark stains stuck to the inside of my beer glass, which was very off-putting. He brought this to the manager’s attention. Instead of taking the concern seriously, the manager became defensive and said it was “just leftover Tajín from a previous drink,” which was unacceptable. I kindly asked for refund, he then offered another drink, but the situation had already made us uncomfortable. We left the bar to look for the children in the play area. As we were walking, we noticed four security guards and the manager following behind us and asking us to leave the premises, treating us as though we were criminals causing a disturbance. What should have been a simple cleanliness concern escalated unnecessarily. No apology , no refund. We felt harassed and discriminated against by the way we were treated. Overall, the lack of hygiene, professionalism, and customer service made this a very unpleasant experience.
