For a chain that's usually closed to the freeway this visit at this location was excellent because of the Spanish waitress. She was efficient and always with a big smile. The Denver omelet at about $14 was hot and plentiful, stomach filling and good.

Another great Dennys experience, staff and servers were very friendly and attentive, $11.33$ to feed two people isn't bad. The food was great as other reviews said and as for the bathrooms they were both very clean and the men's room has two huge big signs that say to tell the staff if the bathroom needs service so not sure how people are complaining about that. I bet no one tells them and that's why a few of the bad reviews about the bathroom are about. Was busy even on new years eve but they got us through quick on our way to Vegas. Happy holidays!

Was passing through and decided to stop in. Had a 55+ meal and dessert, which I rarely have. Both were great. Service was prompt and attentive. The place started to get busy while I was there. I was impressed with Pauline, my server. Even though busy, she always let the customers know that she will be right with them. She was efficient, smiled, and was very nice. She easily could have worked at a high-end restaurant. She deserves a raise.

We are new to the area and Our server(Melissa) she was super nice and quick and had super great costumer service and always checked in on us and the person who cleaned tables(Juan) he worked super fast and efficient at keeping the restaurant clean and ready for the next family to come in and eat. I came here with my parents and my server was Michelle. She's very nice and gave me a kid's menu when I asked for one— my desire for joy and whimsy was very much met. The mozzarella sticks, roasted potatoes, hash browns, and the salmon my mom ordered were very good. My medium rare steak came out rare which was a slight dissapointment, but other than that, I really liked the food. Our server also explained that they're training a chef so that's probably why my steak wasn't done right. Jimmymeow says hi!! :)

Linda P killed it while the place was understaffed, we barely had any extra wait and she made sure we were well taken care of. I'm picky with my eggs so that's the only reason I gave it 4/5 for food, but the chicken fried steak was killer.

It was our first time at Denny’s. The lady who took our order was very kind and accommodating, and the food came out quickly. A few menu items weren’t available, but they replaced them with other options. Overall, good service and great value for the price!

On my visit, the restaurant was swamped with customers. However, Michelle remained engaged with me and ensured that I tended to with pristine efficiency. My food came out faster than some tables that were seated before me which helped to make up for the elongated time it took to seat me and take my order. Michelle is sweetheart and an asset to this location. If it weren't for her, my rating would've been considerably lower.

Went on a Sunday morning, a real local place with good food. Atmosphere is perfect if you want an authentic American diner. Staff are lovely, the food has calorie information. On this occasion the waitress forgot my order however quickly remidied this situation and gave me a free drink of choice.

Dennys at Barstow was far fresher than many “diners” in the area with better options. You have a basic concept and this concept is simple & good “American food” — Denny’s has got that down. Their servers are hard working and while they may get slammed from time to time they manage to be charismatic. Even when the kitchen makes mistakes. The food is what you can expect from Denny’s if it’s anything it’s certainly consistent.

Usually, Denny's offers a good level of service and tasty food, but this time everything was unsatisfactory. We waited for our order for about an hour, which was unacceptably long, especially considering that we were on our way to Vegas. The food itself was not bad, but far from what we usually get when we go to Denny's. Next time we will choose a different restaurant.

Linda p was a lovely waitress, service was slow but it was because she had a ton of tables and no one helped her. The manager just stood around telling her to hurry up and get off the clock. That is the only reason I rate service a 3. I ordered the crepes which were amazing, but my eggs were supposed to be medium well and instead were cooked all the way. Linda p made my experience better after everything she was so nice and tried to be as attentive as she could!

From the second we walked in we knew it was gonna be bad. The last thing i wanted on Christmas day was to be greeted with rudeness. I would have cooked myself but unfortunately none of our stuff has arrives from our previous location. We told the hostess how many were in our party (5) and asked for 2 kids menus the hostess rolled her eyes and huffed. We were seated and had to ask for one of the two kids menus twice. We waited 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken and then was told after we placed the drink order amd after it had been in for 10 minutes to be told the machine had a busted pipe. The options they had for drinks my children wouldn't drink so we drove the 11 minutes to Lenwood to the Dennys there no biggie. However the bad service continued. We entered the Lenwood location to the same rude greeting at how many were in our party. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated no biggie there but when were seated we were seated at a dirty table. Same 15 minute wait time for a drink order to be taken. We knew what we wanted so we ordered at the same time as our drink order. The food arrived in 10-15 minutes intervals. Salads were messed up and a whole order was missing. It definitely was not worth the 126 we spent. I've worked some form of customer service since I was 17 and I will say this. If you don't have the patience for people or don't want to be in an environment that is open 24/7 365 then the service industry isnt for you. If you are having a bad day, or have to work on a holiday as soon as that customer walks in you fake it until they leave. You don't greet them with rudeness, yell from the table a customer is setting at to the front of checkout and just all out forget they are there until checkout time. We unfortunately won't be back to either location.

Where's the dinner i've ever had?And i've been a lot of places. Just a bad experience altogether.Avoid this place at all costs. The beef brisket with mac and cheese was on a hot griddle.The cheese and macaroni was welded to the plate.The beef brisket was incinerated and they put onion rings on top and instead of putting the barbecue sauce on the meat, they put it on the onion rings, it was just one of the worst meals.I've ever had in my life.And there was not very much food to boot. I complained about it to people and staff who could care less about the food they are serving. I ordered a side of corn.It was completely over salted.It was basically a thimble of canned corn for $4.50. Overpriced, small quantity and terrible quality makes for a place to avoid.

I'm sorry I can't recommend this Denny's in Barstow on East Main Street judging from the experience I had this morning. I patronized this restaurant on a slow Sunday morning 8/31/2025 at 6:38 a.m.. I ordered the Santa Fe skillet to go and the first thing I noticed when I opened it up was how extremely greasy it was. The potatoes were literally just soaking in grease and did not appear to be anywhere close to freshly or recently prepared. The order tasted a little gritty throughout and no one likes to feel like something wasn't washed thoroughly or may have been dropped on the floor. The eggs were supposed to be scrambled, but they were put in the skillet, the yolks were broken, but they were never stirred or scrambled at all. The cook just put them on top of the order in one whole piece and they were all scorched. I had to end up scrambling them myself. I wasted $24 which included a $4 tip, presumably for Melissa Z. I assume Melissa Z was the one that made the English muffin. She is the one who took my order, and I specifically asked her to toast my English muffin brown, not too light, but not burned. She did not toast it correctly, and you would have thought that she didn't toast it at all if it hadn't been for that one little burnt edge on the outside edge of one slice which covered about ¼ of the outside of one edge. See photo included. The potatoes looked like they were not fresh and as I said were soaking in grease, as were the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. The breakfast order was a total disappointment and a wasted $24. The portion size seemed inadequate and the food was lacking any kind of taste. I didn't find any cheese on the order at all, as it was advertised with cheese on the menu. Thank you, but I can't see myself returning to this restaurant. I would think that a restaurant chain as large as Denny's would have better quality control over the cooks and the food that comes out of the kitchen. Or does management ever check anything like that? A recipe for not getting repeat customers. Potatoes drenched in oil says they could have possibly been left in oil after they were cooked, or perhaps reheated in oil, I don't know, but this speaks to a cook who does not know what they are doing, and/or not being trained properly. I didn't have this problem at the Denny's in Emeryville, California or South San Francisco, California. I am a black man. Thank you.
