Maribella and Norma are my go to girls. They always take very good care of us when we go in. They go above and beyond for their customers. Thank you ladies!! Great service is so hard to find these days. 🩷🫶
I have been coming here for years, decades actually. Food is consistently yummy, and the service is excellent. Laisha, particularly, is a great hostess, server, and cashier. I think she holds several positions and is so good at everything she does, and is always very pleasant.
I love their micheladas. Kaand Luis are always good serving me !
I have breakfast here after my workouts. Always fresh food and excellent service. Friendly atmosphere!!! 😁
The food is excellent for dinner and breakfast. Tacos are great. Been coming here every morning for the last nine years Monday through Friday.
Visited for breakfast twice in the last few weeks. Fast service. Good food. Will def come back again.
I have visited Jalisco's restaurant many times now, and I have yet to have a negative experience. The staff is always happy to serve you, they are prompt, and courteous. I enjoy the extensive breakfast menu, and my late night taco cravings are always satisfied. Jalisco's has that old Mexican restaurant vibe that has stood the test of time. And that's a good thing!!!
We are visiting the area and ate lunch here. The staff were very good and food was very good. We were not disappointed.
Good local restaurant, very friendly staff and food is always fresh and delicious. Worth the time to grab a good meal.
I've only eaten here the once so far and I did have a shrimp cocktail. While the shrimp and the vegetables seem to be fresh It was just kind of boring. If there's a next time I'll have to be specific about adding more jalapeno pieces. They do, however, have Negras Modelo, which is my go-to generic beer so that was a good thing. Now we get down to the service.... For some reason those five six or seven female wait staff seem to be preoccupied with each other instead of with their clients. I even waved for two full minutes while those girls chatted on the other side of the room and then I finally called to tell them that I needed their attention. You should have seen that girl turn around and look at me after she picked up the phone. I was still waving when she looked at me. I'll be doggoned if they were going to make me shout across the restaurant Those girls need some training in customer service and they'll get better tips.
They have become more expensive. The menue is very adequate you should find something you will like. It's annoying when waitress doesn't know what some menue items are. The fact she dont speak English and has to get someone else that can tobtake our order nit good. Go give it a try food is hit or miss anymore that's to bad its been a Bastrop stable for over twenty years
I dropped in to get some Tortilla soup to go. It was 4:30pm on a Thursday and there was only one customer in the entire restaurant. I was greeted nicely and I requested a to-go order. I ordered: two small tortilla soups w/ corn tortillas, large guacamole and chips. Forty bucks!!! Soup was really good and so was the guac. $21.99 for a two small cups of soup, 10.99 for guac and $3.50 for chips. The bottom line is they are WAY overpriced for their food. It could be the primary reason that you don't have customers.
On Sunday, 16 November, I called in an order for breakfast tacos to go. The runner outside, seen him several times, greeted me and we had a quick chat and he went in to retrieve my order. It took about 10 minutes, he comes back, I give him $40 for a $23 dollar tab, and he goes to get change. 18 minutes later, he comes out with more food and a few dollars in his other hand trying to sell me some pancakes. He said I ordered them. No. I said I just want my change and he said he would have to go get it and then suddenly could no longer speak english or communicate. I left angry, only to get home and realize that not only was the order not even close to right, but it appears Jalisco's is cutting way back on their portions as the breakfast tacos were about half of what they normally are. A dissatifying experience and Jalisco's is dead to me.
Great service, we were greeted with a smile. I ordered the chicken chimchanga. The presentation was great, but it lacked flavor. It almost tasted microwaved. The quesedilla was hit and cheesy, and the guacamole was fresh. That's about where the positives end. The salsa tasted like straight tomatoes witha shot of salt, overwhelmingly disappointing.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! When we arrived we were asked if we were ready to order we had not even received chips and salsa. We had ask for the chips and salsa first. I ordered the lunch chicken fajita quesadilla and a tortilla for my daughter and asked for straws. I had to tell the waitress TWICE I wanted a tortilla and straws. Never received the straws had to get up and get them myself. When we received our food my meal didn’t come with the rice and beans supposedly included then had to ask again twice for the damn tortilla! When we checked out my husband asked for them to break down the price of food it was $63 for 3 people! Once handed the receipt we were charged for sweet tea and we all had waters! This place is WAY overpriced for the food you receive and customer service is terrible! Go to Mi Barro the taco truck better service and food for much cheaper!
Highly would not recommend going here , the servers have attitudes when you simply just want your food to be made right & the lady who doesn’t even speak English tends to mess up quite often rather than asking for help , we sat a table of 10 and the service was so bad . Food was cold . Drinks wouldn’t be refilled when asked , waiting for food for over 30 minutes with nobody in lobby
1/10 service. Visited here during this past Christmas holiday. I ordered 4 tacos (3 eggs, bacon, & potatoes; the other one was a carne asada) totaled $18 including tax. First, all the majority of the waiters were women (which is fine) gave horrible customer service. They are all argumentative. The tacos came in a regular flour tortilla which is small for $6 & only came with 3 diced potatoes. When asked why I wasn’t given more filling, the waitress decided to call over three other workers and argue that what I received is how the restaurant always does their food. Then I asked for green tomatillo salsa to go, as seen in the photos below, the smallest cup (8 oz) is $4.50 without tax. The next size is a 16 oz cup for $7.95 without tax. I asked for the usual round container which they served during my visit & was told that the usual round container was discontinued & they started giving these whimsy plastic cups a few weeks ago. They are still charging the same price for both containers even though the round container is clearly wider/larger in size. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Service is terrible.
