Good quality and authentic food. I had the pizza birria and I savored every bite.
So friendly all the time, not a place you would like to pick up something real fast because the wait is a little while but other than that this is a perfect place to get you some goodies!!
This place have no end to describe how amazing it is...I always try something new and it's always delicious💙
The snacks are great, my family and I love it. And yes there is a wait while your order is being made but it is well worth it. You get a lot for your money. The staff is very friendly and always gives service with a smile.
Sooo much food and it it soooo good
This is an iconic staple of Mexican culture in bastrop, I originally tried the Austin location but had to check out the bastrop location. I’m excited to know their quality and service is still amazing. It’s affordable, quick service and yummy!!!
The pizza birria totally hit the spot! It was enough for two & packed full of meat & cheese. The consommé was rich & flavorful. Great service. Can't wait to return to try the other birria concoctions & the rest of the fun menu items!!
Definitely at the top of my list when it comes to banana splits 🤤❤️ I’ve also had the watermelon Fresca AMAZING the mangonada and smoothie all very very good ! 10/10 recommend
Great place for a sweet treat and their new taco menu options are STELLAR! The best in town. ❤
These people can have all my money this is the kind of stuff I grew up on as a kid so i said this before the incident i had there these people are not very clean covid is still very much around i had to go get more money out of my car and left my manganada sitting in front of the register and this woman was standing in front of my drink talking and i could see spit particles as she was talking im sorry people like i said covids still very much around we started arguing i wasnt gonna buy tge drink the lady tgat made it didnt even offer to make another funny when covid first happened wasnt the latino community the ones affected most wonder why everyone stay safe covids no fun
Deliciousness my favorites are bananas split, mango Hill, and chocolate shake seriously go try if you haven't.

Over the top Mexican desserts and a small, but good taquiera menu. It's its own kind of wonderful.

Place has okay prices for their items and they have available chiles on the side to add to your snacks in case they didnt put enough. The staff are friendly and try to work as quickly as possible. You can also see everything they are doing right there and then so you can tell then to add something last minite if you want. I would go again :]
Wanted a little sweet treat and stumbled upon this little business that offers Hispanic deserts. Also noticed they have a small store in there but it’s probably only open in the day time. Both the banana split and apple con chamoy were huge and delicious. Don’t expect fast service, but they make up for it in their low prices.
The family and I were craving tacos. We decided to finally try Hay Elotes and I'm so glad we did. It was exactly what I wanted. We ordered 2 of the family taco packs- one with pollo and the other with asada. My husband tried their burrito and strawberry smoothie, both were also good. The portion size for the price was worth it. We'll definitely be back.
The worst thing about the place was the elote. The place was clean and the ladies were nice - they let us try samples of the ice cream and told us they make it in house! We got the copa de fruta, mangonada, chicharrón, elote cup, and strawberry and blue coconut raspa. The fruit cup and lime ice cream were my favorite!

Delicious ice cream. Made with fresh fruit and some nice twists. Mostly street food here and do not expect anyone to speak English, but pretty authentic. Prices are not low but you get big portions. This is however not a very clean looking place, no roaches running around or something but I won't eat something that fell on the table.

This place is so good takes me back to childhood memories the only things I have to complain about is the service and well the food .... I didn't come to be judged I felt like stares and my mom was being spoken about just because she was white I wanted to say something but my mom was telling me to stay calm anyways the food is great expect for the the sour hot cheetos the first couple bites are great expect for the chips with so much chamoy that it makes the chip soggy enough that I could stab my fork in it I guess its because the chip is soaking up the chamoy but it's still something I'm looking forward to other wise I would give this place a 5 star
Snack's place, they are super delicious but the waiting always take a while. The service it's kinda like Subway, they serve you one thing at the time and they usually have two people working. Other than that the snacks are yummy!
Its ok... Its quality went down though... Asked for a corn on the cob and they bring it from the back and just stick it in with the other corn for the cups. So it was still cold and a grayish color to it... No flavor even if garnished with the mayo chile and cheese. A little salt when cooking would help.
First time I had been in a while. They were nice but couldn't understand my order. Luckily, there was a lady that spoke Spanish, and she explained my order to the waitress.
Food is good but Customer service is terrible! We have been here several times and everytime they are rude, and they don't give you a napkins unless you ask ( and they give you a look when you do). You sell food, napkins will be needed is that so hard to understand ?
For the name being Hay Elotes i expected the elotes to be the best thing but they aren't the best, there very watery and lack flavor.
My wife enjoyed what she ordered (cup of fruit), but the lady helping us didn't give me much detail about their milkshakes and seemed rude so I decided not to get anything.
I like coming to hay elotes food is great but there’s this older lady that has a bad attitude and so rude, I order fruit for my toddler and told her it was for my son, and she gave it to me with chilli powder, she got mad saying that I told her to put chili powder 😡 plus she was charging us more money then it soppossed to be. We confronted her and she was like oh yea your right..
Felt like the women was tryna force me to speak Spanish as she was clearly with no care to understand my order in English. Corn in the cup wasn’t flavorful/seasoned enough and didn’t care for my mangonada either very artificial tasting..

The cashier was rude and very disrespectful
the lady was so rude she takes ur order with an attitude the whole time and it wasn’t only to us it was everyone in the line . I would prefer to go somewhere where they are polite please work on your service , other than that the food was okay
Bad customer service lady's didn't even smile once. I asked if they had sweet corn or is it all white corn they looked at each other and started the attitude.
This is ok kinda pricey my husband and I like the mango hill but the service is terrible specially one of the ladies she rude every time I'm there she always has the same attitude towards the customer I dont care if the smile at me or not but at least try to be nice other than that the snacks are ok
Very rude customer service, got bullied into buying an elote “for wasting her time”. I was asking if they took Apple Pay
These employees are so rude! I thought maybe they just had a bad day…. But when I went back it was the same experience with different employees….Bad attitudes and rude as hell.
Ladies behind the counter need to learn customer service. They all looked mad and are very rude…. I should of checked reviews first…
I’ve been to other Hay Elotes and no complaints , but I recently moved here to Bastrop and they don’t even greet you and the ladies just hear one part of your order and walk away without saying anything else. They slam everything and look mad , no smile or anything . As a new customer in this location it’s horrible. And the rusa my husband ordered tasted so off and the chicharrón didn’t even have everything in it . Tables were all dirty and she asked me if I wanted to leave her a tip . I’m sorry but I did not . I will not be returning to this type of customer service . I am so dissatisfied with this.
This place smells like a dirty mop. Someone please tell them a cup of pureed mango with chamoy is not a mangonada. Una mngonada debe venir con chamoy, chile de polvo o tajin y trozos de mango. One young lady was very kind and helpful, but the other more mature woman kept rolling her eyes and seemed easily irritated.
Not only are these girls behind the counter very ugly, but there attitudes also. There was alot of slamming dishes, rude faces being made towards the kids as they ordered, we were just trying to get the kiddos some ice cream and had to deal with these chicks.
I've worked in customer service before and I honestly don't know how "Hay Elotes" staff gets away with the way they talk to customers. I have had a lot of different occasions where my husbands order and mine weren't what we ordered, and we wouldn't complaint because we didn't want to be that customer, today I tried to call in an order here just because "Taqueria 95" was closed and so the lady that was taking my order was being very rude and kept asking if I was actually going to make it to pick it up, just because they have had orders left behind. I will never be ordering from this place ever again, if you want Mexican snacks go to taqueria 95. If I could give ZERO stars I would.
A older lady did not know what she was doing I simply asked for a ice cream cone & she instead gave me a ice cream bowl and tried to charge me for it .. when I corrected her she gave me a ugly attitude, then when it was time to pay my original price was 7$ for everything i paid for instead she took 43$ out of my card for no apparent reason charging me!! Will NOT be back here DO NOT RECCOMEND!!!
No prices on the sign, so we end buying a $35 Horrible tacos with Bad Cilantro, Horrible food

Do not trust the workers here!!! Add up what you get from here they like to over change customers just because they don't know how to speak spanish. I will not be returning here ever
Poor customer communication They look like you the customer is bothering them from their time. No thank you, have a great day or even come back and see us. It was our first time at Hay Elotes and we will definitely not come back. I would rather spend my money at Koko’ where their atmospherei is better, nicer and better vibes.
I went today and I had to pull out my calculator.... surprisingly I wasn't going to write a review until I heard about them ripping people off people YOU have to have a calculator when you get here.... I ordered a manganada for $8 then CORN STICK $5 and I'll order a watermelon drink for $3 ...and she told me it will be $40......... It sucks for them to smile on your face and for them to try to rob you at the same time this happened to my boyfriend he ordered three desserts FOR 8....8...4 and they charged him $40 I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it was right but when they try to do it to me it was a whole different story.. stop robbing people if it was ugly like a sucker punch. I FELT LIKE GOING BACK TELLING THEM TO GET MY BOYFRIEND HIS MONEY BACK... WHY DO BUSINESS IN AMERICA IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE ACTING LIKE THAT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THINKING WE'RE ALL FOOLISH SPANISH AND MONEY IS TWO DIFFERENT STORY... I still end up giving her a tip of $4... Just to still be nice and I hope it eats her up what she did was wrong today.
Food pretty decent I wanted to sit down and eat inside while my food was hot and fresh but both elderly ladies that work there have an attitude problem not friendly at all very rude so I just took my food to go I almost cancelled my order but I still decided I wanted to give the place a shot but with that kind of customer service definitely not ever going back and I would not recommend to anyone!!!
I am not the kind to give a bad review but this place deserves it. The corn is by far very salty you can't taste anything else but salt and when I expressed my concerns to her the only thing she said was they dobt use salt and blamed the cheese and offered to load it up.wity more mayo ?! And the mangonada is just a slush has no real fruit in it. I do not recommend this place its not worth the money spent
Just give this location my last chance to get better the snacks used to be really good but lately the lady’s that work there are super rude make everything in a rush and poorly , I asked for a mil shake which tasted like ice cream blended with water the cup wasn’t even full and they don’t even put whipped cream or anything also asked for a mango smoothie which I confuse with a mangonada when I asked if they don’t put chamoy the skinny old lady told me in a rude tone you “you asked for a smoothie not a mangonada behind you is chamoy put some in “ I was in shock because i get it that it was my fault and I asked for the wrong item but again I just asked if they don’t put it on the smoothie I never asked her to put some on it or take it back or even complain i literally just asked her the costumer behind me seem to be en a of the way she talk it back to me I’m so disappointed I really just to enjoy going there.
If I could rate zero stars I would walked in and waited almost 10 mins for someone to take my order it was like I was invisible to them then you got a lady that works here just blabbing her mouth off instead of taking my order then you also got other people walking in cutting in front of me I bet she took there order though. never coming back here again screw this place
