I no longer live in Bay City but visit my mom here often. We often eat at Whataburger, and my mom eats there at least once a week. This evening my 14 year old daughter and I went inside to place an order to go. Having worked in fast food and having experienced less than competent customer service, I was pleasantly surprised with the working crew, management and atmosphere. Even my daughter was impressed! The managers were polite and encouraging when addressing the crew, helpful and courteous with guests, and the atmosphere was organized and deliberate. A well oiled machine. It was awesome service and awesome food and I do not know the name of the cashier guy but he had an awesome attitude he had our food out in a timely manor so yes all the workers did great!

Such a lovely location. We made a brief stop for a snack and had such a nice conversation with a young man on his first day on the job. He is a college student and seemed really excited. His manager came over to assist us immediately and our purchase took no time at all. There was also a nice young woman named Faith who was also awesome with myself and the guest in line in front of me. Even though they were clearly busy, the store appeared to be running smoothly. Thanks for a delightful and quick visit. Their rest rooms were also clean and well stocked, which we were grateful for.

They didn't have change for me to make and order. So I had to add a few more shakes to my order for them to have enough change. And even then the manager had to pull some cash out of his own wallet . Had to wait in line 10 minutes before I could place my order. After I placed my order traffic split to 2 lanes. I didn't know which lane I should use. Also it's weird to me that they started asking for my name when I placed my order.

This is for the night of 7/23/22 about the young black female manager. Hun, you freaking ROCK!!! There was cars back up all the way on to 60 and wrapped around onto the side street with about 15 or more customers standing in line wanting to order and about 5 or 6 waiting for their order. It was about 11:30 pm and I had ordered online. When I walked inside I told them I had an order and gave the manager my name. Even with all the crazy going on around there and customers asking about their online orders, and the staff asking her questions, the manager NEVER lost her cool. She stayed calm, smiling, and very polite to everyone! She did an amazing job! Thank you!!

My family and I had just came from a nearby football game, and decided to order to-go. When we first walked in, the restaurant was crowded, but service was still taking care of everyone! Food and atmosphere about normal for a Whataburger, but the service was very lacking. There was one employee that seems to dislike everyone that does not match his skin color. I asked him a question, before he responded, he acted as though I was a major inconvenience, then the response was as though I was the dumbest person on earth. Other patrons same thing. When you order a #1 meal XP, XO, sub mayo, double lettuce, toast both sides (or any other complicated change from the standard), unwrap it and check before you let the curbside person go. Tomatoes are standard. Ingredients were fresh, fries were hot, but I miss my tomatoes. Also, if you are using the App, make sure you get all the way to the end of the process. The Check Your Order page doesn't have a "Yes, you got it right" button, just a back arrow. I pulled into curbside at the exact time I asked for the order to be ready and my order had not been entered because I didn't get it how to use the App. Then they took more than 10 minutes to fill the order and bring it out vs the 5 to 7 minutes the App promised. (This was 4 pm, not really rush hour.) So, a 30 minute trip turned into >45 minutes and my boss got upset. Check special orders. Learn how to use the App.

Always seem to have several employees, but some of them have nothing to do. If I were the manager of the establishment, the employees who don't seem have anything to do, besides visiting with other employees, they would be cleaning. I have no issues with their food, but the person who adds the lettuce, tomatoes, etc., could take a little more time spreading them out over the burger instead of piling it all on in one spot.

While I will not stop getting food from here, people should know they don’t really bring your food out to you anymore for curbside pickup. You have to call them to remind them you checked in and then they’ll bring your food out.. it’s gotten a bit ridiculous. Also, hate their new drive thru method. It literally makes no sense. It just gives people a longer wait time.

The restaurant was dirty inside. Yes it was busy, but that's no excuse. Drink area counter top was nasty, no napkins, no tea. I honestly hate leaving bad reviews, but the Whataburger in Bay City truly deserved it. My family and I love Whatabutger and always stop to eat there on road trips or just because, and have always had good experiences. This time though it was anything but good. The bathroom was disgusting, the burgers were burnt and the fries were not the greatest. They had more employees working than I had ever seen in any other whataburger yet their customer service was terrible. The woman who served us our food was even talking on her cellphone. No one offered us any ketchup or anything and when I walked up to ask for some all I got in response was a dirty look. I’m truly disappointed in this Whataburger and will not be visiting it again.

The staff is completely incompetent, forgetting condiments, most of the time completely screwing up an order entirely. You're guaranteed to receive attitude from certain employees. You could be the only person in line, and your order is going to be wrong, soggy, or at least take 40 minutes to reach the window. You're lucky as hell if only one of those things is the issue. Coming from out of town we decided to make a pit stop here. Horrible experience! Waited 30 minutes for our food. Our burgers were wrong. After having mine fixed, my husband found a bug in his burger. It was literally crawling throughout the burger when he unwrapped it. No refund or compensation by the manager. Another lady tried to help, which I appreciated it so much, but the manager did nothing to help and ensured to speak loudly in front of everyone else in the restaurant to tell my husband it was not a bug it was a piece of meat! Meat does not crawl! Ridiculous!! This is my first google review ever and this was my experience. Maybe others had better.

DO NOT GO HERE! There's always trash everywhere and horrible service. The past 3-4 times in a row, I have had to wait over an hour and have only been compensated once. Just DON'T go here cause unless you are super patient and want to waste money. They also had some water damage from a recent storm, and ran the place like normal even though there was puddled water all over the kitchen floor, which is unsafe for customers and employees. I visited Whataburger and ordered a Breakfast Burger, but the experience was frustrating. They dropped the fries first, so by the time my burger was ready (about 10 minutes later), my fries were already cold. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues at this location. On my last visit, I ordered the same meal, and instead of fries, they gave me a hash brown. It’s disappointing that they consistently get my order wrong or fail to serve fresh food. Whataburger is known for quality and good service, but this location has let me down twice in a row. I hope they improve their order accuracy and timing because customers shouldn’t have to wait and still get a messed-up meal.

Needs better customer service. How do you expect to have business when you don't take orders in drive thru line. It's happened several times having to wait several minutes in the morning with no one taking order in drive thru line. It's supposed to be a fast food service. If I have to wait 5-10 minutes until you answer on speaker to take my order I'm going somewhere else to get food like I did this morning especially when there is no one else in the car lane. So you lost my business until you get better service. All of the other Whataburgers I go to isn't this issue except for this one in Bay City. And I love all the food at Whataburgers. The worst Whataburger I’ve gone too. Consistently missing items from my order. I place a pick up order to wait 30-40 mins just for the employee to walk outside hand me a bag that contains half of my order, says absolutely nothing about my drinks and the rest of my order. The guy never comes back I have to go in and ask for the other half of my order and wait another 15 minutes. Won’t ever come back and is by far THE WORST WHATABURGER

Salad was great although they slapped a chicken patty on it not cut up like most salads .... i will also never order a cinnamon roll there ever again cold and like eating stale bread . This place used to have the best service and really good food i dont know what happened

waited 40 minutes for a honey butter chicken biscuit meal. received drink, hashbrown sticks, and a honey butter chicken biscuit containing a single hashbrown stick and no chicken. actually ridiculous. been to many whataburgers, never one this bad. never going back.

Extremely disappointed. Nashville Hot Whatawings ... whata JOKE! No Nashville Hot Flavor, at all. Cheap chicken nuggets with Hot Sauce poured on them. Not worth $8.99 for 8 either. Sandwich smashed flat an not much on it. Very thin meat patty, no flavor. Fries were so soggy - non edible 😓

The WORST Whataburger ever! Food is always cold. They don't give you the right amount of hash brown sticks, French fries always have full, added a pic of my honey butter biscuit as you can see I got a drip of honey butter that's it! And don't order curbside you will never get your food! You will have to go inside to get it. Terrible service. They have WAY too many people working it's overcrowded in the kitchen everyone running around but nothing getting done. TERRIBLE!
