Opinions de Casa Bakery & Restaurant Bellaire
I’ve had dreams of this place, of one day returning and eating their food again. Today was that day. Their menudo is so rich it calls you broke. The chilaquiles and fajita was the way to go today. Homemade flour tortillas put an exclamation to my breakfast this morning. Service impeccable and food is great. Bakery is also a great option if you want to take some pan dulce home.
I went to get coffee from Cariño and wanted to get pan dulce to go with it. I stopped by Casa Bakery and I’m so glad I did. The baker is right next to the pan dulce and he was very nice & recommended the conchas that were fresh out of the oven. I’ve had a lot of conchas in my lifetime and these were some of the very best I’ve had. It was just the right amount of sweetness & they were flaky + airy. I will def be back for more! They were very reasonably priced as well!

Everything they make is delicious. The only thing I would complain about is their potato and egg. The potato is humongous mixed with eggs. Please cut the potato smaller sizes when serving potato and egg in the morning for breakfast. Other than that the place is awesome!
Great salsa and service, I asked for sunny side up eggs, but they made them over easy, I still eat them, hopefully next time they'll get it right
I remember way back in the day. More like the 80's when the owner had a restaurant on Quitman St. It used to be called La Sultana. They always served great food and pan dulce was off the charts! Good memories.
Amazing food! the horchata was so freaking good I ended up gluping it down and getting a second one before my food even arrived. ( the food arrived quickly , I'm just saying that horchata was delicious. ) the salsa was warm and spicy but it burned so good. the food was just like grandma used to make but better. The pan ducle was really good as well. the empanadas were so yummy and soft.
My wife found this restaurant. We have been coming for years. The food is delicious we always enjoy their breakfast .Very honest young ladies I left a personal item I call the restaurant and they put it to the side for me and I picked it up. thank you!

This place is your hole in the wall TREASURE!!! The smell of sweet bread and homemade cooking like at abuelitas house. I had the Puerco con Calabaz, rice & beans. Homemade flour tortillas. Fresh Lemonade, Homemade chips and spicy salsa. Yummmy
Excellent, true home style Mexican food like mamá makes. The service is attentive without being overbearing. It has become my go-to for breakfast. The chilaquiles rojos are a stand out. The only semi-complaint is the coffee... mediocre at best. There is also a bakery on site, which is also a standout. The conchas are some of the best I've had in Houston.
I was craving a torta with fries and usually go to Taqueria Abasolo down the street. But when I passed by this spot, I decided to give it a try. The only people there were the cook and the waitress. It took about 20 minutes for the food, but it was well worth the wait. The food was delicious—this will now be my go-to spot for my meal! The horchata was delish! Homemade food, the food and drink $13.
Excellent customer service great good fresh homemade tortillas and traditional pan dulce With the taste food like grandma's
Normally, would have given 5 stars. I've had the chilaquiles with added chicken and two over easy eggs before and they were awesome. This time, the shredded chicken was on the side and it was very dry. Also, the red sauce was almost non-existent as though they had been nuked. Should have gone for the barbacoa tacos as I had originally planned.... The service was outstanding.

I like the relaxed atmosphere and the down home cooking. The baked goods aren't always that great, but everything else is good. The barbacoa is delicious, the breakfast is inexpensive and worth trying. The fried plantains are also very tasty.
Nice little Mexican spot with a relaxed, casual vibe. The food tasted fresh and flavorful, and the portions were good for the price. Service was friendly and everything came out on time. Not perfect — it can get a bit busy and seating is limited — but overall a solid place for a quick meal. I’d come back again.

This is an ok place that usually survives weather events, in this case, the storms on May 16. Pan de dulce is also ok. Ordered the complete breakfast, the food was decent.
Came here since the change in ownership/management- ambiance is nice and they did open it up so it can accommodate more patrons and it was nice that they kept up a lot of the original decor. The quality in the food has changed a lot- at least noticeable from what was ordered (with the exception of both the corn and flour tortillas still remaining great). The barbacoa was not good- with more skin and fat than before (one of the tacos was just skin and fat), and the menudo is made with a different flavor profile that’s less spiced and fragrant- not impressed at all. The service is where it’s nose dived. Waiting for 4 tacos and a bowl of menudo took 30 minutes- to me that’s a long time to wait on something from the kitchen especially considering it never took that long before. Even back when they had the original owner’s wife and daughter running things they still had good service- it was impressive on busy packed days that they managed the restaurant. This time around the waitresses forget things or only came to the table twice. There was just an overall feeling of being more interested in talking to each other or standing around and “forgetting” things. I would not come back or recommend this place to friends or family any longer. Good luck to the new owners. I hope they can figure it out.
It really wasn't that good the food the fajita burrito with rice it tasted funny like it was bad the meat before it was cooked don't know what the taste was rice didn't taste fresh it tasted like reheated rice probably prepare couple days prior to and it was kept in the icebox but it was no good. Copple of weeks prior I was there with a friend and I had something similar to it but still was no good, about the only good there was the can drinks the service was good but then i didn't go there for the service went there for the food again nothing was that good to brag about what I had this time was a fajita burrito what I hade a couple of weeks ago was a fajita and chicken plate mixed rice and beans beans was good rice was to grease tasted funny. This time I had to request for the beans and chips and my friend and I place the order and when they brought the order to the table they gave him what I ordered they gave me what he ordered they didn't offer no water and also coffee was served when the cup was almost empty which is good but it didn't taste like coffee it was way too weak.

Order some chilaquiles rojos, it had no flavor super blended.potatoes same the only thing that was good was the agua de jaimaca.. which I'm pretty sure it's already in the bag to mix
They gave me a skinny quesadilla with a little bit of meat and charged me 10.82 for it when the price on the menu was 9.50. I'm still hungry after eating it. Go to abasolo they give you more a for good price
Honestly, the place needs a hold makeover. The daughter is a TikTok influencer that doesn’t put back into her own company.
We went for breakfast , waited over 40 minutes for 3 tacos and a menudo and it never came out! Take it they had a large party but communication is a must, not a manager or staff member came to check on us .
