Liuyishou Hot Pot in Houston is hands down the best hot pot restaurant I’ve ever been to! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and welcoming atmosphere. The place is spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly clean. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always ready to help explain the menu or make recommendations — which is great, especially if it’s your first time trying authentic Chongqing-style hot pot. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional. Every plate of meat, seafood, and vegetables is fresh and beautifully presented. The broth options are rich and flavorful — the spicy one has the perfect kick, and the bone broth is deep and comforting. The dipping sauce station has so many fresh and tasty options that you can truly customize your flavor to your liking. What I love most is how consistent everything is — from the service to the food quality, it’s always top-tier. The meat is tender, the soup is always hot and delicious, and the entire dining experience feels premium. It’s clear they take pride in providing not just a meal, but a full experience that makes every visit enjoyable and memorable. Been here several times and luckily each time we were able to walk-in and be seated right away. It’s a fantastic AYCE hot pot with prompt and friendly service. I completely forgot to take a photo of the Special Soup Base! It’s the soup base in a shape of a cow. The sauce and sides are included in the pricing. There’s also a cute cotton candy station, perfect for the littles when they’re done eating. Highly recommend this place!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely loved this hot pot place! The ingredients were super fresh, and the side dishes were tasty and well-prepared. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. They kept checking in to see if we needed anything else or wanted to order more—great service! A quick heads-up: the spicy broth is really spicy—even the "mild" level packs quite a punch. I highly recommend going with the two flavor soup (half-spicy, half-clear) pot if you're not a hardcore spice lover. The only minor issue is that there isn’t a table size that comfortably fits 5 people — they mainly have tables for 4, 8 or 10. Don’t miss the dessert—the ice jelly at the end was delicious and the perfect way to cool down. Will definitely be coming back!

My friend suggested this place and I'm so glad she did. I am bias when it comes to hot pot but this place was amazing. The place is a good size with good seating. They sat us down quickly and got the food we wanted fast as well. Everything came out at a good time and the food was absolutely delicious. The broth was so spicy and flavorful! Love the ice jelly dessert here! The tomato base soup is nice. Service is good, just gotta wave them down if busy. Good for small-medium size groups. Don't think I'd want to do date night here.

Best hotpot in Houston and trust me I've tried almost all of them. But yall don't go here cause they already busy enough and I don't want my favorite place to have a longer wait hahaha

Overall - glad I tried it as it was yummy but probs not interested in coming back Menu - it’s an AYCE style with certain dishes you have to pay extra for. For AYCE, it starts off around $28/per person and then you can either choose an individual broth ($6-10 depending on which size) or a shared two broth bowl for the group (about $14 total). So, it’s about $35-40 per person for the AYCE. Lots of options to put in your hot pot (surprisingly no bok choy though), so if you’re a fan of it, def can get the bang for your buck. Not a huge meat connoisseur but did think the meats tasted high quality as well. As for the broth, the #1 broth spice lvl is NO JOKE even at MILD. Avoid it if you can’t tolerate any spice. Menu was aesthetic n easy to read, though it would’ve been better to include small pics of hot pot stuff. Service - started off strong w the waiters checking in on us and explaining how the process goes. You order through the waiter so I suggest writing everything you want in your notes n just letting them read it rather then order as you go (bc depending on the noise lvl, might be hard to understand what both sides r saying). Towards the end, felt like it was harder to get their attention as they were busy cleaning up. However, did really appreciate them trying to fix the spicy lvl problem of our broth. Ambiance - smaller than I expected but I thought the space area was very cute and aesthetically pleasing. Def decorated to enhance the feelings of eating at a high end hot pot place, which I appreciated. However, it can feel crowded in areas so depending on how packed the building is, good luck trying to access the al le carte area (good variety of sauces, dips, desserts, etc) Things that can be improved - the high static ear piercing sound when the stove is being turned on. If you’re susceptible to these noises, be warned bc it was extremely annoying for the first few minutes n it feels like it’s constantly playing. It apparently goes away when you lower the heat tho. Regardless, if you’re somehow able to eliminate this noise, it would help prevent feeling sick - the sauce area. The descriptions/explanations of what is what is kinda hard to read in its engraved spot. You’d have to angle n duck just to read them. Wish they were in black rather than white. - bowls >> platters. The long plates were cute but they weren’t that practice to eat soup out of. Had to resort to using those lettuce bowls to get my soup lol Overall, glad to have experienced hot pot here but I think I can get the same quality ish at a lower price somewhere else. I still recommend trying at least once though

Food was super flavorful and good, my boyfriend and I got there around 6ish(?) and were seated rather quickly. Service was okay, wasn’t really a fan of the waitress kind of taking over what we were trying to order. Overall a pleasant experience, we came from FL.

This place has all you can eat hot pot. They have other options for additional price. Good atmosphere, but make sure to go a bit early if you want your own pot instead of a sharing pot. Different soup base to choose from and also have a fruit and appetizer, sauce bar. Order different meats and other veggies and they'll bring them all to you. Not much of service, they all seem so busy and that was around 3 in the afternoon.

We ordered house special soup (spicy beef tallow) and it was very very oily. I tried to scoop up the oil and it was almost impossible. If I drank all that I would have clogged my arteries..... Limited options for all you can eat and you have to pay for your broth separately. Beef and lamb were thinly sliced and it was good. I have been to many hotpot restaurants but this place was terrible. Sauce bar didn't have many options.I definitely would not return....
