They make a great slice of pizza! I come here occasionally for lunch and always enjoy my meal.
I've had quite a few Pizzas in the Bay Area and many of them a quite good. But it wasn't until I tried this place that I understood that not only is flavor important but presentation. When I opened the box I was greeted with what I could only describe as a beautiful pizza which truly only made me even more excited to try a bite. The flavors and the color, the textures, everything came together beautifully. Yes the pizza might seem like it is a little pricey, but honestly? I think it's cheap! The portions they give you are truly generous and I can make about 3-4 meals out of one amazing pizza. That is a great deal!!!
So this place was recommended to me as I'm not from the area. This was far better than I had expected a by the slice place would be. Certainly a tier pizza and environment, the dude that serviced me answered my random questions and made good recommendations. Going to for sure suggest here and come back
🍕 Cal Italia was delicious. The crust was well made. The sauce complimented the cheese perfectly. Staff was friendly and served quickly.
Amazing pizza served with enthusiasm. One visit only but it's down the street and kinda buried in the plaza and I regret not discovering it until now. Seek it out, drop a pin. Did I mention the amazing pizza? And the enthusiasm? One visit only but
Our go-to place for pizza in the Belmont / San Carlos area when we are craving non-neapolitan style or want a no-fuss pizza pickup choice on a Friday night. Lots of different styles to choose from, with the Detroit one being our go-to. Chicken wings are a good choice and salads are there if you are so inclined. It can get busy, so make sure to order early. I have never done dine-in, but given how busy it gets, I will stick to pickup.
Amazing thin slice NY style pizza! Dough crust was thin and crispy but still light and chewy. Toppings on the piezano were pepperoni, sausage and mushroom. Slice was $6.50 but it was huge! Bigger than my hand. Inside was cozy and comfortable but maybe 6 booths. Service was very friendly. They gotta do something about the queue lining out the door blocking it while the other door doesn't open. Menu board was a bit difficult to read standing just a few feet away standing in line. 4-5 options of slices available to choose from. Warming up takes just 10 seconds. They're definitely going to be popular very quickly and take out their nearby competitors.
I dream about Slice House pizzas because they’re so good. We used to order the Detroit style pizza but it started to get a little too heavy and salty so we converted to grandma style. We usually keep it classic with just pepperoni topping but have also tried the paesano and it was equally delicious. Everyone working there is so friendly and efficient. You can also order by the slice.
Been here several times since they opened. Sometimes for takeout and sometimes for dine in. Every time for a great slice. Never had a Tony Gemignani pizza before but it's up there with my other favorites. The seating is relatively clean and you never have to wait long for a whole pie. Their menu is mostly pizza so you know they're serious about it. Totally worth it if you're in the area
The pizza oven is at a perfect temperature for crust krisp excellence. Definitely will come back for the pizza. I wish they had Ice Tea and a beverage option.
Very fresh dough makes a very fresh pizza. The best part it locally in mountain view. Low prices.great food 🥑 🥝.
My personal favorite pizza chain. 😍 This was my third time ordering take out and I got another different flavor than before. This place just can’t stop surprising me with awesome flavors. I was beyond amazed that even though the pizza got cold the crust always stayed crispy and chewy! Every time!! 🥹 Flavors are very unique and hard to find elsewhere. Would love to come back again and again until I try everything on the menu. 🩷
Delicious pizza and great service. The New York crust was thin and perfectly crispy and held up to the toppings. The Detroit style was thick with a really flavorful tomato sauce and the crispy cheese edge from the baking pan was tasty! Customer service was great, the cashier was friendly and attentive! Overall great experience, will be back.
Excellent place to stop for lunch or your pizza fix really not ordinary pizza restaurant they have the New York style slices plus the grandma style deep dish slices with excellent selection of whole pies if you’re in that neighborhood, I’d highly recommend the place other than the dining room is a little bit small
Will always visit a new Slice House when I'm around one since they are my favorite pizza chain. Great pizza with even better single slices value wise. Had their combination pizza and it was as usual excellent.
Mama Mia! Just go. It’ll ruin all other pizzas for you. Nothing will compare after you try this place. Often, people display awards about their culinary achievements and the food doesn’t match. This place?! Does! Best pizza. Ever.
Best pizza in the area. NY pizza is the best outside NYC, from a native New Yawka! Always friendly service and expect a wait on Fridays and weekends.
If you are searching for of a cute little pizza spot, this one is for you. They have NY style pizza and what they call “grandma” style square pizza that has a little bit sweeter sauce. They also sell pizza by the slice. I tried the meat pizza that had sausage, pepperoni, salami and mushrooms. The crust was crispy and the cheese was stretchy. They have TVs around the restaurant so you can watch sports and the team who works here is so friendly and kind. There isn’t a ton of seating, but they make the most of the space they have. What a great neighborhood spot! Definitely worth a try.
I absolutely love this restaurant and visit it frequently; it's one of our favorites! All their pizzas are amazing, and I'm particularly fond of the Sweet Gino and Popeye flavors. The staff is always very friendly, which makes the experience even better. I also always buy their large can pizza sauce because it's delicious and I tried the spicy olive oil for the first time, it was fantastic! Highly recommend this place!
I'm so surprised I've never heard of this spot before-- there's too many amazing things to highlight! PRICE 💵: Each slice is only $7 and would you look at that size? Insane! Such a great deal. FOOD 🍕: The crust is a great blend between soft and "crunchy", I really liked it. There's also some interesting brick slices. Didn't have a chance to try but the toppings looked super filling and delicious. SERVICE 👨🏻🍳: Very much mom & pop shop vibes, the crew was super friendly and really helpful. LOCATION 📍: This location is right across the street from the CalTrain, super convenient. There's space to eat both outside or inside. Restrooms as well. Plenty of parking in the lot as this is a relatively large plaza. Not a ton to walk around here after, but hop on the CalTrain and explore more of the Bay!
Excellent service, pizza and value. I was greeted instantly and felt a very warmth vibe. Detroit pizza not sure of its common but the sauce was sweet. It gave the pizza a oddly delicious flavor. Loved it will come back and try other topping combinations. Today I had the cheese and a pepperoni Detroit style. 😋
Really good pizza. Tried four types to go and each one was superb. Slices were sturdy despite being thing and loaded with a lot of cheese. Crust was tasty by itself.
Eat the pizza hot while the dough is nice and crispy. At $7 a slice it is pricey, but worth it. 2025 Update: Rosa (Detroit Style?) pizza with crunchy crust, flavorful tomato sauce, generously covered with cheese and pepperoni at $9 a slice is still worth it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience with Slice Pizza in Belmont. I ran into a small issue with my order, but the team handled it incredibly well. A gentleman named Nima went out of his way to help me and made sure everything was taken care of. It’s always refreshing to see customer service done right, and Nima really made the difference. They were friendly, understanding, and quick to rectify the situation. Because of that level of care, I’ll definitely be coming back. Great pizza and even better customer service. Highly recommend! 🍕
Shout out to Slice House for consistently great pizza. Amazing selection with a killer lineup of specialty slices, all made with quality ingredients and big flavor. Definitely try the Hot ’N Honey it was fire. Great food, great variety, and an easy go-to spot in Belmont. 🍕🔥

They just put in new plastic orange chairs outside. Very unconfortable. Please bring back the old ones! Until then I will just sit on the Starbucks chairs across the breezeway like some of your customers are. Hopefully Starbucks will continue to not mind.
My son described the Sweet Gino slice he had as the best pizza he has ever had. I said top 5 just to be safe. Incredible flavour, texture, crunch of the dough. Loved the sweetness. The Eastern European or Middle Eastern (I am not sure) lady who was working there on Sept 25, 2024 sat 5pm was very grumpy and somewhat rude or I would have given a 5. I specifically asked for two slices of the Sweet Gino from the fresh batch that had just come out and instead she gave me the remaining old and cold one and one of the fresh ones without even saying a word.
Good selection of pizzas where you can choose not only the toppings but the crust style (for example Detroit v New York). There are a few tables inside and a selection of fountain and bottled drinks, fountain drinks come with refills. Pizza is sold both by the slice and whole pie. Parking can be a challenge as the lot is small but there is some street parking.
Whole pies are great. But when you go in for slices they overheat way too much - ask for less hot and it's a bit closer to the real NY style.
Your standard pizza place. They provide slices for customers with smaller portions, but not many options. The ice maker of the fountain soda was either out of ice or broken because e couldn’t get any ice out. The pizza was tasty. The pizza slices were actually big. We got 3 slices but were really full.

I visited this place based on many recommendations, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. For someone looking for meat-free or pork-free options, there were only two choices available: The first slice was with garlic oil I think. The second one was extremely sweet—I’m not sure how much sugar was in it, but it was too much for a pizza. Price-wise, paying over $8 (plus tip) for a single small slice felt very overpriced for what I received. On a positive note, the staff were very polite and professional, which I truly appreciated. However, I really wish there were more diverse pork-free options, such as beef pepperoni or a wider variety of veggie toppings. Thank you.
Apparently not as good as the other site I went to. The very same pizza (sicilian rosa) was burnt from this location.
The pizza is amazing, like all the other locations. However the staff doesn’t seem very knowledgeable. It seems like is everyone 1st day there.
Was moving over to the peninsula I've been on the hunt for a Detroit Style pizza place. Headed over to takeout a pepperoni and the award winner. They were okay, but way too oilyand the bread to topping ratio felt off. I'd have preferred a smaller sized base with the same toppings.
Waaaaaaaaaay too much salt in this pizza 🍕. I can actually fee my heart weakening with every bite. I drank too pints of water afterwards and I still feel scrambled. Crust was good, nice ingredients - but too salty for me to buy this again. Meatballs rocked however, those I'd happily munch again
Very yummy pizza New York style slices are thin and huge The Grandma style is hefty and chewy, like I felt the need to use a fork and knife. I wish they had more exciting by the slice options available. They were out of the one interesting one (BBQ chicken?) when I ordered, and as I was eating I noticed it got restocked and sold out again. You can get regular cheese or pepperoni at Costco. They have so many interesting sounding pizzas and it's called Slice house, the by the slice options were kind of a let down and other people were also asking if there was something else coming out
It was pretty good. I got a New York–style Motorhead, but some of the crust was too burnt to eat. It was a bummer because I love eating the crust :(
First time here and got a slice of NY style cheese pizza . Portion is generous. The crust is phenomenal! Crispy the way it should be . The sauce however was underwhelming. Something is missing.. not very tomatoey . Needs more marinara base. Also feels the cheese should be more stringy. Perhaps not enough mozzarella? Service was pleasant and fast.

I’d been itching to try Slice House and finally made it to the Belmont spot. High hopes, given the name attached. However I’ve learned the hard way that when a “local pseudo celebrity” brand is stamped on the sign, you’re often paying for the name and the Instagram moment, not the product that made the name in the first place. I was genuinely hoping for a great slice. I grew up on the East Coast, so I know my way around a plain cheese, and I also know the standards out West can be different and the bar for “great” is often lower hence the never ending stream of five star reviews. There are West Coast places that can hang with the best in the U.S. or Europe. Unfortunately, this Place couldn't even hang with his own flagship store. I always start with a plain cheese slice. Walking into Slice House in Belmont, the aroma is incredible, yeasty, toasty, tomatoey. But like I know from places near Italy or NYC, the places that smell the best don’t always land the flavor. Appearance and build: Slices look unwieldy and thrown together. Huge crust on one side, barely any on the other. It feels like luck whether you get a normal slice or one with half the cheese and toppings because the edge ballooned to 3–4 inches and nobody corrected it before saucing and cheesing. There’s a visual overkill of cornmeal. It gets everywhere: hands, mouth, plate. The ironic part is you can see the bottom of the pizza they use screens so you don't even need cornmeal. Semolina is a tool, not a weapon. Full-bite impression: Underwhelming. I kept waiting for the flavor to show up. Dominant note is parmesan (never a good sign on a basic slice), followed by an acidic tomato burn, then sandy semolina. Saucing felt random—thick and chunky in spots, missing in others. Tasting each part: Sauce: Sweet-salty-tangy, but it leaves your mouth acidic and burning for a while. Cheese: Rich and fatty in a good way, but way too parmesan-forward and wildly uneven. Bare crust peeking through in some spots, then a half-inch mound elsewhere where it wasn’t spread. Dough: The biggest letdown. I was looking for real yeasty, fermented character; instead it tasted flat and lifeless. Physically, they’ve hit the benchmarks, no flop, nice puff. But the flavor isn’t there. You don’t have good pizza without good crust. I’ve eaten in North Beach and the quality and flavor there are far superior to this Belmont outpost. Operations: Even around 2 pm, the crew looked checked out. going through the motions and slapping pies together without much care. A bit of training and an expeditor with eyes on consistency would help a lot. Also high Praise to the counter guy for being friendly but you just got to know when to stop chatting so people can go eat. Value: It’s pricey for what you get. One slice feels high, and three slices run you close to the cost of a whole pie at your favorite spot. Bottom line: Amazing smell, average flavor but terrible quality control and consistency, sloppy assembly, and heavy-handed semolina. Most of this is fixable: pull back on the cornmeal, spread sauce and cheese evenly, tighten up dough flavor, and make the crusts uniform. Until then, I’d pass on the Belmont location—especially if you’ve had the real thing in North Beach.
Very disappointed with the Detroit style hawaiian pizza I ordered for delivery. It was extremely undercooked, gummy, and practically inedible. For the price that is simply unacceptable.

Do not order extra sauce, in fact Tony’s should take it off the menu. I ordered extra sauce because I also ordered well done pizza, my preference. It was the worst pizza I’ve ever had… it weighed about 40 pounds smothered in tomato sauce, I am editing my review as it’s on me… I ordered extra sauce and it turned out to be way too much, for me anyway. The real lesson learned though is that Tony’s pizza is amazing and should be eaten hot, right out of the oven. Since I was babysitting and had it delivered by one of the many ‘apps’, it took time and just wasn’t as good.
